The cruise will begin in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, at Port Everglades, located 10 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale airport. You will be greeted at the pier by Gertrude and Suzanne. Puerto Rico offers the most exotic aura of America’s Caribbean islands. There is something for everyone, and for beach lovers, Condado Beach is a lovely little beach located at the western end of San Juan with azure waters, a cool breeze, and tan-colored sand. It’s a fun place to enjoy the Caribbean waters since a rock barrier protects the beach, and the waters are calm.

Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos is unlike many other Caribbean vacation spots. Grand Turk is a tiny island and offers an entirely different atmosphere than better-known destinations. It is an island with a laid-back little town with great beaches and a little British Bermudian Colonial heritage. The Grand Turk Cruise Center is the only cruise port in the Turks and Caicos. The highlight of the Grand Turk Cruise Center is the vast, lagoon-like swimming pool. Grand Turk is one of the few destinations in the Caribbean where a great beach can be enjoyed directly off the cruise ships. If you’re looking to enjoy some food and drinks, there are two restaurants within easy access: Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and and Kacl’s Shack. ALCOHOL – In line with our onboard safety policy, passengers are not permitted to take alcohol onboard with them.

CHILDREN under the age of 15 are not permitted on the upper deck and must remain with their parents while onboard.

CLOTHING – Please ensure that you bring a WARM and WATERPROOF jacket with you. Seating is outdoors and it’s always cooler on the water!

WHEELCHAIRS/REDUCED MOBILITY – Our vessel is Wheelchair user friendly for the lower deck area only.

TOILETS – Toilets are available onboard; however, access requires that passengers climb three steps.

DOGS – Dogs are permitted onboard our cruises. Dogs carried onboard are only allowed for bookings on the main deck. Dogs are not permitted on the upper decks. Passengers bringing dogs onboard must ensure that the dog remains on the lead for the duration of the cruise and that they take responsibility to clean up where required.

CUISINE STIR THE POT 

Irish food is synonymous with comfort. Whether it's a hearty Irish stew or traditional bacon and cabbage, Ireland's cuisine is all about stick-to-your ribs satisfaction — all served with an equally comforting pint of Guinness, of course.

Irish stews come in many forms, but the three key ingredients are lamb, potatoes and onion. Carrots often make an appearance in the dish's rich broth, and the addition of thyme complements the gamey flavors of the lamb. You'll find traditional Irish stew on most pub menus.

BACON ME HUNGRY

Bacon and cabbage is a simple but beloved Irish dish. It includes sliced back bacon — which is thick-cut and steak-like rather than thin and crispy — boiled with traditional cabbage and potatoes. It's often prepared with spicy mustard seeds and fresh parsley or another herb sauce to balance out the hearty flavors.

CRACK OPEN COCKLES

Made famous in the Irish tune "Molly Malone," cockles are small saltwater clams found along the Irish coastline, and they've become a local delicacy. They're usually served boiled alongside mussels, or in a chowder-like soup with a creamy, buttery broth.

Tenth anniversary celebration already sold over 60% capacity

The Country Music Cruise has delighted music fans on the high seas for nine years, and the 10th anniversary of the popular Country Music Party at Sea has been announced with an exciting lineup for 2024. Clint Black, Tracy Lawrence, Neal McCoy, Joe Nichols, Shenandoah and many others will perform aboard Holland America’s stunning Nieuw Amsterdam ship January 20-27, 2024. The seven-day cruise will depart from Ft. Lauderdale and make stops in beautiful Grand Turk, Key West and Half Moon Cay. Booking for the 2024 sailing opened to the public today (Thurs, Feb 9th).

Guests onboard The Country Music Cruise 2023 received that message loud and clear by breaking a record for the number of cabins booked for the 2024 cruise while enjoying everything last month’s cruise had to offer. Over 60% of the cabins for next year’s cruise are already sold.

The exciting lineup also includes a cappella group Home Free, Moe Bandy, Wade Hayes, Darryl Worley, Billy Dean, Jimmy Fortune, T. Graham Brown, The Malpass Brothers, Chuck Mead, Linda Davis, Gil Grand, 50 Shades of Hay, Val Storey, The French Family Band, with more to be added. Enduring favorites the Elvis Tribute Artists, a very special Grand Ole Opry at Sea performance event and popular television personality Nan Kelley return for the 2024 cruise.
