Enchanting Prague Tour

Enchanting Prague

We were very pleased with the tour arrangements, although I seem to remember that they had a maximum of 30 people per tour. All of ours were more than that. Some of the guides didn't speak very loudly and we couldn't hear what they were saying.

Prague Tour

Had a fantastic weekend in Prague with Euroadventures. Everything was planned out perfectly with a nice mix of included and guided activities and also a good amount of free time & optional activities offered (that you could book). We were a group of friends and upgraded to a nice private hotel room just a few minutes by foot from Wenceslas square. Any questions we had were promptly answered as they're always available by WhatsApp or email.. Would definitely book with them again and definitely recommend Euroadventures if you're looking for a fun organized trip that is great value for the money.

great personal tour. We were able to see a whole lot in short amount of time and still had time to relax and enjoy great Czech Pivo. The pace was perfect. Marek knew all the great local places to eat. He has his guide license and was able to take us on amazing rafting trip in Ceske Krumlov. He is also very flexible in the itinerary and was able to adjust on the fly. We felt that we were in good hands the whole time. He found us some amazing wineries and places to sample multiple wines. He timed the trip where we hit a local festival at one of the UNESCO villages

Cycle Prague to Vienna - Guided

This was my first ever cycling holiday and it was fantastic. Without much training and being a little scared of the hills ahead of the trip, it was hillier than I had thought but at the same time very manageable & enjoyable. Loved the little Czech towns, the forests, lakes, vineyards that we cycled through! Thank you UTracks, this will definitely not be my last cycling trip.

What people love about Czech Republic Tours

I had a great time on the tour. We visited very beautiful places and towns and got lots of information on the history and about Czech Republic today. The tour is both: exciting and relaxing. Marek is an excellent guide.
From the moment we set foot in Prague, Dasha's infectious enthusiasm set the tone for the entire adventure. Her deep knowledge of Bohemian history and culture was evident as she effortlessly guided us through the cobbled streets, unraveling the secrets of Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, and the Old Town Square. Dasha's engaging storytelling added an extra layer of richness to every landmark, making the city come alive with centuries of tales. As we ventured beyond Prague into the heart of Bohemia, John's expert driving skills ensured a smooth and comfortable journey. His professionalism and friendly demeanor made each road trip enjoyable, whether winding through picturesque landscapes or navigating charming villages. John's insights into the local scenery and customs enhanced our appreciation for the Bohemian countryside. The itinerary was thoughtfully crafted, offering a perfect balance of cultural exploration and leisure. Highlights included visits to Cesky Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that felt like stepping into a fairy tale, and Karlovy Vary, with its healing thermal springs and elegant architecture. Dasha's ability to tailor the experience to the group's interests ensured that every day was filled with excitement and discovery. The accommodations selected for our stay were not only comfortable but also reflected the unique charm of each location. Whether it was a boutique hotel in Prague or a cozy inn in a Bohemian village, every place contributed to the overall magic of the tour. What truly set this tour apart was the seamless coordination between Dasha and John. Their teamwork ensured that our group felt like a close-knit community, sharing laughter and creating memories. The camaraderie extended beyond the scheduled activities, fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere that added an extra layer of joy to the journey. In conclusion, the Seven Days Tour in Bohemia exceeded all expectations, offering a perfect blend of cultural immersion, scenic beauty, and genuine fun. Dasha and John's passion for their craft, coupled with their warm personalities, transformed a great tour into an unforgettable adventure. If you're seeking a travel experience that combines history, beauty, and laughter, look no further than this Bohemian gem of a tour. Highly recommended!
Value was spot on for the quality and location of hotel Lunik. The breakfast buffet was great and so was the staff who services it, we tipped them every morning as it seems most did not. The river cruise was pretty but food was just ok but it was hot and beer was reasonable. We did not go on the river cruise for the food but for the experience! Our bus and walking tour was also very informative and varied and our guide very knowledgeable and pleasant, she even extended it another hour because of all the questions she was asked. We tipped hr as well as others did not and she certainly deserved it. Having the rest of our stay in Prague to ourselves really made the trip our own and were very happy that the tour companies involved arranged transportation to the airport even after our 3 day extension to stay longer. My wife and I were very satisfied with the whole experience and would recommend it to others!

Aerial view of Prague at sunset over Charles Bridge on a summer evening

The Czech Republic is an exquisite reflection of Europe’s cultural and architectural diversity.

With over 2000 castles, keeps and ruins, it boasts one of the highest densities of architectural history in the world – so much so, Hollywood regularly rolls into town when it needs to shoot ‘Ye Olde Europe ’.  There's no better place to step back in time than on the cobbled streets of Prague’s Old Town, where the scent of chestnut and linden trees fills the air on a warm summer’s eve.

Learn more about Czech Republic

Best time to visit the czech republic.

The Czech Republic enjoys a pleasant central European climate, which means the summers are hot and dry, and the winters are often a wonderland of snow-covered cobblestones. If you’re after the more balmy weather, then June through to August is perfect. Although, this is the high season for tourists, so expect to be darting between the crowds. The cooler spring months of April and May are usually sun-filled, and you’ll find the attractions less busy. For those who want to experience the quintessential ‘winter wonderland’, why not head over from December through to February - there’s even a strong chance of a white Christmas.

Geography and environment

Geographically, the Czech Republic is nestled at the core of the central European scrum, landlocked between   Poland ,   Slovakia ,   Austria   , and   Germany . Often referred to as an eastern European country due to its historical communist and Eastern Bloc influences, the Czech people however, are prompt to remind us that this is very much central   Europe   - and that Prague is in fact further west than Vienna!

The west of the Czech Republic is known as Bohemia and is surrounded by low European mountains that stem from the Alps. The foothills lead into lush rolling plains and beautiful green countryside. In the east, Moravia is blessed with a variety of dramatic landscapes, with hilly countryside punctuated by the famous limestone cave system - the Moravský Kras.

Top 10 Czech beer moments

1. beer spa.

The Czech Republic is famous for both its spa towns (Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lasne) and its beers. Enjoy a combination of the two in the country’s first beer spa, where you can submerge yourself in a specially brewed bath full of your favorite brew.

2. Brewery Wars

Visit the epicenter of Czech beer in the town of Ceske Budejovice (Budweis in German). Decide for yourself which of the two breweries is master of the genre - Budvar or Burgerbrau. After a long legal stoush over the Budweiser name, the Czech makers have retained the right to call their beers 'Budweiser' and limited the American brand's naming rights in some European countries.

3. Brew with a View

With an incredible view of Prague’s Old Town, visit Letna Hill, Prague’s very own beer gardens, where cheap beer is sold from kiosks for you to enjoy from the comfort of a park bench.

4. Travelling Ales

Ride the tram pub. That’s right, the Czech Republic has its very own tram pub - the Prvni Pivni Tramway.

5. Festival Flavours

Head to one of the Czech Republic’s many beer festivals – pivni slavanosti. Held on almost every weekend of the year in various towns and cities, breweries will celebrate their particular tipple and provide some apt entertainment alongside the beer-swigging.

6. Tank Tipples

Discover the sweet taste of the world’s only unpasteurized variety of Pilsner. Sold in special ‘tank’ pubs, where kegs are replaced by high-volume brewing tanks, treat yourself to this Czech Republic specialty.

7. Savour Something Strong

Push your beer-drinking limits with the Czech Republic’s specialty strength beers. Try U Medviku’s X-33, where the alcohol level of 12.6% will have you pushing the limits of sobriety.

8. Gallery Gulps

Take a trip to Prague’s beer gallery where one can peruse the aisles that house over 200 different varieties.

9. Pass the Beer Glass

The Czech Republic is famous for its incredible glass and crystal, so why not head to the Novosad Glassworks in Harrachov, where the glass-blowers are lucky enough to have their own brewery on site.

10. Beds n' Beer

At the end of all this beer drinking, you’ll need a suitable place to rest your weary head. So why not camp down in one of the Czech Republic’s brewery hotels and finish off with a nightcap in front of the fire.

What to pack for Czech Republic

People packing for a tour

Comfortable shoes

Prague is a maze of magical laneways that are best explored on foot. Be sure to wear-in your walking shoes before your Prague trip.

Although the Czech Republic has four lovely seasons, Prague experiences rain all year round. Pack a travel size umbrella to keep you dry in an afternoon shower.

An adaptor plug

Voltage in the Czech Republic is 230V and the sockets are of Type E, with standard European 2-pin plugs.

From the fairy-tale Prague Castle to the gorgeous green hills of Moravia, you’ll want to capture all the spectacular sights.

Keep your hands free and pack all your daily essentials into a comfortable day bag. A smaller bag is ideal to avoid having to check it in when visiting museums.

When can Americans travel to Europe

Once part of Czechoslovakia, the Czech Republic split from Slovakia in a “friendly divorce” following the end of Soviet rule in the 1990s. Since then, it has grown into a major tourist destination, with its historic capital, Prague, now one of the key stops on any Central European tour.

It’s a good place to quench your thirst for culture, history, hiking tours over rolling hills and, of course, the local pilsners.  It’s a good place to quench your thirst for  culture ,  history , biking or hiking tours over rolling hills, and, of course, the local pilsners.

When most people think of the Czech Republic, they picture Prague, its majestic capital – and with good reason. “The city of a hundred spires” not only challenges Paris in its beauty, it also boasts a history that stretches back over a millennium along with one of the most vibrant cultural settings in all of Europe.

Yet those who visit only Prague and don’t explore the treasures that abound throughout the rest of the country miss a lot. The landscape is strewn with shimmering lakes and criss-crossed by rivers. Rolling farm fields and orchards lead to forested highlands overlooked by mountain ranges that virtually surround the small nation.

Despite the magnificent examples of Mother Nature’s handiworks, the Czech Republic’s greatest assets are man-made . Hilltop castles, ornate cathedrals and imperial palaces dot the landscape and decorate cities and towns. Adding to the appeal for visitors is the ease of being immersed among these varied riches in a compact country that is about the size of South Carolina.

For its minuscule size, the Czech Republic has a relatively high number of places – 13 -- included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. They are citied for their “outstanding universal value” in terms of history, art, culture and other attributes.

Imposing Prague

Prague (Praha) is a city that overwhelms visitors with its architecture, then envelopes them in an aura of living history. The entire city center is a designated UNESCO heritage site, and the fact that its buildings survived World War II remarkably intact, unlike many throughout Europe, adds to its appeal. So well preserved are the ancient neighborhoods that it can seem as if you’re walking in a stage set. To stroll through the city is to discover a cathedral here, a palace there and Gothic spires everywhere.

The city’s Medieval core is surrounded by architectural treasures from every major period and style. The allure of its age becomes clear in both the “Old Town” ( Stare Mesto ), a labyrinth of winding alleys and picturesque squares which was founded in the early 13 th century, and the not-quite-so-old “New Town” ( Nove Mesto ), which dates back to 1348.

The sprawling Prague Castle, one of the largest in the world, overlooks the city from a steep hill. Dating back to 870, when the first walled building was constructed at the site, the castle was the seat of power for a number of kings and emperors, and today is the official residence of the president of the Czech Republic.

In addition to the castle itself, the complex of buildings includes cathedrals, palaces and several museums. A series of lovely terraced gardens spills down the hillside to the red tile-roof houses below.

Another must-see is the Charles Bridge, which has spanned the Vltava River since the 14 th century. A line of statues which were placed along the balustrade in the 17 th and early 18 th centuries depicts saints that were venerated at that time.

Equally as popular with visitors and townspeople alike is the 15 th century Astronomical Clock set on a wall of the Old Town Tower. Throngs gather each hour as Christ emerges through a small door followed by his disciples, and a skeleton tolls the bell.

Towns, Tunnels, and More

Despite the countless attractions and appeals of Prague, and there are many, visitors who fail to explore the charming and diverse towns scattered throughout the Czech Republic miss out on a lot. Many towns have a charming central square surrounded by narrow winding streets and church steeples pointing toward the sky. In addition, each has its own unique charms.

The central square of tiny Telc could have been lifted from the pages of a Hans Christian Andersen tale. It’s lined by the decorative facades of arcade-fronted Renaissance townhouses painted a variety of pastel hues and set off by ornate gables and intricate designs and decorations. That fairytale setting has earned the historic town center recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

It’s primarily what lies beneath the ground that makes Jihlava worth a visit. The story began in the 13 th century when cellars were built under most houses in the town center for the storage of food, beer, wine and other items. Over several centuries, the storage areas were connected by tunnels, which stretched over 15 miles. Tours lead visitors through sections of the catacombs, past exhibits that tell the story of the tunnels and how they were created.

Visitors to the Czech Republic seeking to explore its Jewish heritage often head for Trebic, about 100 miles from Prague. Among many vestiges of the Jewish aspect of the country's history, that small city stands out.

The presence of Jewish people in present-day Trebic was first documented in 1338, but it wasn't until the early 18th century that a ghetto was established. Today, it's one of the best preserved ghettos in Europe and the only Jewish monument outside Israel included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Squeezed into a compact area between a river and steep hills, the neighborhood encompasses 123 historic buildings, including two synagogues, a rabbi's house (built around 1620), hospital and two schools. The Jewish cemetery nearby contains about 11,000 graves and almost 3,000 tombstones, some from the 1730s.

The Liquid Czech Republic

“Taking the waters” at mineral spring spas has been an inherent part of life over centuries for people living in the present-day Czech Republic. Today, close to two dozen spa towns attract visitors in search of healing various ailments, or simply a relaxing experience.

Among the most famous spas are Karlovy Vary, set amidst a virtual forest of graceful colonnades; Marianske Lazne, which is surrounded by nearly 100 natural springs, and Luhacovice Spa, which has been been providing healing and hedonism for nearly 350 years.

Ask at a Czech restaurant or pub for “liquid bread” and you’ll be served beer. That beverage has been brewed for centuries there and aficionados rank it among the best in the world. Most towns have at least one brewery and there are hundreds of local and regional brands throughout the country.

Given those facts, it’s not surprising that the Czech Republic tops the worldwide list of per capital beer consumption, with a hefty intake of about 40 gallons a year per person.

Czech republic.

Architecture. History. Tradition.

Lose yourself in Central Europe’s “Land of Stories.” It has many beautifully preserved sites from several eras. Its whimsical capital city of Prague is known as “the City of a Hundred Spires” and is a spectacular sight. The city has drawn artists and composers looking for inspiration for centuries. While here be sure to sample its beer. After all, it’s said to have almost as many kinds of Pilsner beer as it has bars and restaurants!

Destination Must-See's

Czech Republic ms1

Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It has many beautifully preserved sites from several eras and its historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was the capital of the Holy Roman Empire, a center of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and was the site of the Velvet Revolution in 1989, when citizens peacefully took Czechoslovakia back from the Communists.

Czech Republic ms2

Charles Bridge:

This bridge connects Prague’s Old Town and Lesser Town. It is a stone gothic bridge that was originally named the Stone Bridge. It is said that egg yolks were mixed into the mortar to strengthen construction. On each end of the bridge there is a tower that you can climb for an amazing overhead view of the bridge and of Prague.

Czech Republic ms3

Medieval Cities:

The Czech Republic was never bombed during any war so all of the towns and villages are full of history and are glimpses of what Europe might have been. Cesky Krumlov is called the Medieval City. Its main highlight is the castle and a great place to experience a traditional Czech festival. The ancient silver mining town of Kutna Hora is a historically significant town and its center is part of UNESCO.

Czech Republic ms4

Prague Old Town Square:

It started as the central marketplace for Prague and still is the heart of Prague. Over time the buildings built around the market each had their own story of wealthy merchants and political intrigue. In the middle of town every hour visitors gather from all over to watch the mechanical performance of the astronomical clock that is like no other instrument in the world.

Destination Must-Do's

Czech Republic md1

St. Vitus Castle (it’s a castle and a cathedral):

This grand castle can be seen from wherever you are in the city and is one of the nation’s top tourist attractions. Taking six centuries to complete, it is now the spiritual symbol of the Czech state. Ironically, only 2% of citizens practice religion so the cathedral remains mostly unused for religious service. It is both a castle and cathedral.

Czech Republic md2

Christmas Markets:

The Old Town Square is home to the famous Christmas markets - the most magical time of year in a magical location. The Christmas tree and the many booths are lit up around the town. You can enjoy music, food, and drinks while completing your unique Christmas shopping or just enjoying the scenery.

Czech Republic md3

They have the highest beer consumption per capita in the world, and it has been brewed here since as far back as 992 AD. Beer is cheaper than bottled water and is enjoyed with every meal. Traditional bars only sell one brand of beer and they keep serving you until you tell them to stop.

Czech Republic md4

Hradcany Castle:

Prague Castle, in the Hradcany district, is the largest ancient castle in the world. It began as the Church of the Virgin Mary in 870 A.D., and soon was surrounded by a convent, a basilica, St. Vitus Cathedral, a 12th-century palace, and finally with defensive walls, turrets, and government offices. It has been used continuously as a seat of government longer than any other place in the world.

POINTS OF INTEREST

More information about Czech Republic

The Czech Republic , also known as Czechia , is a Central European nation, rich in history and proudly one of Europe’s most popular travel destinations, in particular, its fascinating, fairy-tale capital of Prague , the focal point of most trips to the Czech Republic. Landlocked between Poland, Slovakia, Austria and Germany , the Czech Republic offers traveler more than just charming chocolate-box cities, but also a chance to peer through the looking glass into the history of Europe as a whole, due to its central location and long, eventful history.

Over the centuries, the Czech Republic has been both a battle-ground and a playground for kingdoms and empires, so many intriguing relics have been left behind. Countless ancient castles, mansions, and monasteries are scattered throughout the country, many of which are set amongst forested countryside and mountains, such as the impressive hilltop castle of Bouzov or the atmospheric ruins of Rabi Castle .

Prague steals the spotlight when it comes to travel to the Czech Republic , but cities such as Brno in the south and the pretty spa resort of Karlovy Vary are not to be missed. Of course, one of the Czech Republic’s best-known features is its unbeatable beer scene. A long history of brewing combined with a forward-thinking artisan beer trend makes it Europe’s best-loved destinations of beer aficionados.

History of the Czech Republic

The Czech Republic , in roughly the same form as we know it today, did not emerge until the 9th-century , with the establishment of the Duchy of Bohemia. Before this time, both Celtic and Germanic tribes and Slavs had inhabited the Central European region. In 921 , famous King Wenceslas inherited the throne of Bohemia , converting the kingdom to Christianity. Shortly thereafter, around the beginning of the 11th-century , Bohemia became part of the Holy Roman Empire and continued to play an important role in the region throughout the Middle Ages.

The Golden Age of Bohemia can be said to be the 14th-century when many of its most iconic monuments were founded and Prague flourished as a center of learning and culture. Both the Charles Bridge and Charles Square , must-see sights on a trip to the Czech Republic , were established during this age, as well as Charles University , today the oldest and largest in the country. The long-lived rule of the Holy Roman Empire came to an end in 1806 and Bohemia was integrated into Austria-Hungary.

Following World War I, Czechoslovakia was formed as the Habsburg Empire collapsed, encompassing many different ethnic minorities into one state. This caused a number of struggles within the new state, especially for some of the German population, who desired independence. During World War II , Czechoslovakia was annexed and occupied by Germany, a difficult time in Czech history. As the war came to a close in 1945 , almost all of the German population were forcefully expelled beyond Czechslovakia’s borders, just as Czechoslovakia became part of the Soviet Union , under which it remained for the next 41 years.

The so-called Velvet Revolution of 1989 brought a peaceful return to democracy for Czechoslovakia as it severed its ties with the Soviet Union . In 1993 it split into the two separate states of Slovakia and Czech Republic in similarly peaceful circumstances. Ever since this time, the Czech Republic has dedicated itself to integration into world markets and is today part of the European Union and NATO.

Nature in the Czech Republic

Although city breaks to Prague are one of the more popular choices for travel to the Czech Republic , the beauty of this country’s natural attractions cannot be overlooked. Rolling hills, dense forests and green river valleys are just some of the inspiring landscapes that the Czech Republic is known for. A temperate climate ensures pleasantly warm summers and snowy winters. The Czech Republic is home to a number of national parks, perhaps the most famous of which is the Krkonose National Park , a designated biosphere reserve situated on the border with Poland.

The mist-shrouded Krkonose Mountains are encompassed within the park, where you can expect to find alpine landscapes, fine-forests, and fields of powdery snow. Punkva Caves are another must-see natural attraction to discover on a trip to the Czech Republic . This amazing underground cave system has walking trails that allow visitors to discover mighty stalagmites and stalactites as they navigate a fascinating subterranean world. There’s even the chance to take a boat trip on an underground river that weaves through the cave system.

One of the Czech Republic’s most unique natural landscapes is Hruboskalsko , an extraordinary rock formation composed of hundreds of sandstone towers. Daredevils flock to the park to scale these rocks, whilst a spiral staircase allows less-adventurous travelers to climb to the top of Hlacatic Lookout for amazing panoramic views.

Culture of the Czech Republic

Due to the nation’s situation in the heart of Europe , it’s culture has long been shaped by a variety of influences. The official language is, of course, Czech , and Slovak is widely spoken. Although a Slavic -speaking country, the Czech Republic leans towards western Europe in many ways when it comes to culture. Nevertheless, a number of folkloric traditions and customs endure to this day. In South Bohemia and Moravia , folk culture is still alive and celebrated, particularly in the summer months, when traditional clothing is widely worn throughout the festival season.

On a holiday to the Czech Republic, you’re sure to witness singing, dancing, live music and locals adorned in colorful clothing if you’re lucky enough to catch a traditional folklore celebration during your visit. Historically, Czech people have been characterized as tolerant and open-minded, and today the country is considered one of the most secular places in the world, with 75% of its population claiming to be unaffiliated with any faiths.

Of course, part of the Czech Republic’s appeal is its thriving beer culture. The home of modern beer, which was invented in Plzen in 1842 , Czech’s drink more beer than any other nation in the world. If you’re enthusiastic to experience true Czech culture during your trip to the Czech Republic , be sure to visit a modest hospoda , a type of traditional bar, where you can order a beer and raise a pint with the locals.

From the fairy-tale streets of historic Prague to the rolling countryside of South Bohemia and the thermal springs of Karlovy Vary, a trip to the Czech Republic is always a good idea, whether you’re a history buff, a city-breaker or a beer aficionado.

Czech Republic FAQ's

The Czech Republic is perhaps best-known for its numerous castles and châteaux ( over 1,200 of them!). It is also well-known for having some of the most delicious food and drink in Europe, in particular its wines and famed Pilsner-style beer . The Czech Republic has and had a very long Jewish tradition , which is triumphantly on display after the horrors and loss of World War II in such places as the Great Synagogue in Plzen , the third-largest in the world. Finally, the Czech Republic is well-known for its museums , educating visitors on everything from history and art to folk arts and crafts and even life in the former Communist Czechoslovakia .

Naturally a Czech vacation starts in Prague , the City of a Thousand Spires and one of the most romantic capitals in Europe. The country is split up into two parts: Bohemia comprises the western portion of the country and Moravia makes up the east. Bohemia is home to such historic cities as Cesky Krumlov , Karlovy Vary , Ceske Budejovice , and Marianske Lazne . Moravia is home to the country`s second-largest city, Brno , and the provincial capitals of Olomouc and Ostrava .

One of the most beautiful countries in Europe, the Czech Republic can be enjoyed throughout the year. Most tourists tend to visit during the high season , which begins in June and runs through September . Shoulder seasons , when temperatures are not as hot, sights are not as crowded with tourists, and accommodations might be discounted, occur in April-May and again in October and into the first half of November . The month of December , when Christmas markets open up in town squares across the country, is also a popular tourist draw. For more information, see Best Time to Visit the Czech Republic .

We recommend approximately 7-10 days based on what you want to see and do. We offer flexible vacation packages so you can select your number of nights in each city, desired hotel and activities. We suggest a minimum of 3 nights in Prague and other major cities.

We recommend seeing the Czech Republic by car or by train. By Car: The Czech Republic`s road system is modern and developed but not quite to the extent of nearby Hungary. There are sixteen highways that criss-cross the country, ten of which lead to the capital, Prague. Note that if you ride on the country`s highways (denoted by a two-lane green sign with an overpass), you will need to purchase an e-vignette ; ask your car rental company about it when arriving in the country. By Train: Rail service in the Czech Republic is efficient, fast, and modern. It is run by Ceske drahy and rail lines criss-cross the country and not only link Prague with Bohemia and Moravia, but also with the countries bordering the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic offers many high-speed lines, such as the EuroCity (since 1991) and the Railjet (since 2014), connecting Prague and Brno with the rest of Central Europe in a faster and more efficient manner. Rail hubs are located in Prague, Brno, Ostrava, and Breclav.

The currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech koruna (written in shorthand as Kc). U.S. dollars are not accepted. Please be sure to have the correct currency on hand or be prepared to exchange your dollars for korunas upon arrival. Currency exchange desks can be found at many locations throughout the country. For more information, see Tipping in the Czech Republic .

English is widely spoken and understood in Prague, and is common in most tourist areas in the country. We suggest you learn a few common phrases such as hello (Ahoj!) , goodbye (Sbohem!) , excuse me (prominte) and numbers 1-10 (jedna, dva, tri, ctyri, pet, šest, sedm, osm, devet, deset) . To say `do you speak English?`, say ` Mluvíš anglicky? `

A little over two weeks is the duration of this stimulating Czech Republic and Slovakia tour and our time could not be better spent as we venture through the heart and soul of two of Eastern Europe's most rewarding destinations.

Starting in the Czech capital, Prague, a city that Goethe once called the prettiest gem in the stone crown of the world, we are exposed to a wealth of architectural style, from Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque, to Rococo, Neoclassical, Empire and Art Nouveau.

The castle and Old Town convey the long history and charming heritage of this, one of Europe's classic destinations and from here, we visit castles that date from the 13th century and Gothic fortresses en route to the world-famous spa town of Karlovy Vary.

We see for ourselves why UNESCO decided to grant World Heritage status to the ancient centres of Cesky Krumlov, and marvel at one of the most exquisitely beautiful towns on the continent.

Across the border in Slovakia, we set off from Bratislava and head towards the mountain range of the Low Tatras, finding on our way emerald-green glacial lakes and evidence of the country's former subservience to the Hungarian Empire.

Pieniny National Park surely vies for title of most beautiful and serene landscape in Europe and we see Slovakia from all perspectives, from deep within the 'Cave of Freedom' in the Demanova Valley, to atop the summit of Mount Chopok.

A special treat before we return home, we cross into Hungary to take a couple of days to explore its remarkable capital city, Budapest.

Day 1 Arrive in Prague Today we arrive in Prague and transfer to our hotel. Prague lies on the seven hills flanking the banks of the Vltava River with the most outstanding views being from Prague Castle. Sometimes it is called Prague the Golden, sometimes Prague the City of 100 Spires. It is compared with Florence and Rome in its beauty. Thomas Mann said it was one of the world's most magical cities; Goethe called it the prettiest gem in the stone crown of the world. Virtually untouched by war, its architecture is Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Neoclassical, Empire and Art Nouveau. Overnight in Prague. Included Meal(s): Dinner

Day 2 Prague: Old Jewish Quarter & Wenceslas Square Our WALKING tour today takes us to the Old Jewish Quarter and the old Town Square with its famous town bell and astronomical clock. The Old Jewish Cemetery is an incredible sight. The second oldest in Europe, it was established in the 15th century. Burials took place from 1439 to 1787. Today there are 12,000 tombstones jammed together, leaning one on another, every one at a different angle and size, the whole creating a graphic and surreal image. We also visit the museum/memorial and the Klaus Synagogue with a permanent exhibition called "Jewish Customs and Traditions" highlighting the significance of the synagogue and Jewish festivals. We continue to the Old Town Square. The 15th century designer of the astronomical clock located here was master clockmaker Hanus of Ruze. According to legend, he was blinded by Prague's town councilors for fear that he would make another like it for another town; so magnificent and applauded was his creation. One day toward the end of his life, he asked a friend to lead him to his great creation. As the figure of Death tolled the hour, Hanus thrust his hand into the clock's apparatus; the clock stopped, and it was centuries before a craftsman could be found who was skilled enough to make it work. In World War II, the clock is said to have stopped again after the Nazi murder of hundreds of citizens of Prague. We finish our walking tour at Wenceslas Square in time for lunch (your own account). The balance of the day is at leisure. Prague is famous for its concert halls: The Municipal House, Rudolfinium, Mozart Theatre, National Theatre, The State Theatre -- all of them close to the center of the city with performances almost every night. Your Tour Leader can help organize optional evening activities. Overnight in Prague. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 3 Prague: Prague Castle & Old Town Our morning sightseeing tour of Prague travels through the city centre to Prague Castle. We begin our WALKING tour near Pohorelec Square before the Cernin Palace. As we head towards the castle we will pass the following: Strahov Monastery, the Loreta, the Cappucin Monastery, and the Archbishop's Palace. Before entering the castle, we will pause by the wall for a city panorama and orientation before our 2-hour visit of the castle. We enter into first courtyard with its famous fountain and walk over to the Chapel of the Holy Cross. We continue to the St. Vitus Cathedral and visit the choir and crypt before heading to the third courtyard. Here we enter the Old Palace from St. George Square and then continue toward the Golden Lane (Kafka's House) where we pause for a break and refreshment, and then carry on the Old Castle Steps with photo stops along the way. We will stop at Nikolas Church before crossing the ancient Charles Bridge (Karluv Most), an artistic masterpiece famous for its vendors and artists. For over four hundred years, this work of art, built by King Charles IV in 1357, was the only link between the two halves of Prague. We admire the many sculptures as we walk across. We finish the formal part of our tour in the Old Town, an excellent spot for lunch. The afternoon is free to further explore this amazing city. Overnight in Prague. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 4 Prague - Konopiste - Karlstejn - Karlovy Vary After our morning departure from Prague we visit the Renaissance chateau of Konopiste and its priceless interiors. Set in a hilly wooded park, this castle was built as a stronghold at the end of the 13th century, the present appearance dates from alterations made at the turn of the 19th to 20th century by the last owner, Franz Ferdinand d'Este. After a lunch break we enjoy a tour of the Karlstejn Castle, a Gothic fortress and home to the imperial crown jewels. After our visit we continue east toward the famous spa of Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad). This town is beautifully located in the valley of the Tepla River and is famous for being one of the oldest and largest health spas in Europe. The hot medicinal spring water is famous the world over. Overnight in Karlovy Vary. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 5 Karlovy Vary This morning we have a half-day WALKING tour of Karlovy Vary, an elegant spa town, and favourite retreat of crowned heads and international celebrities. "When the disorder becomes a disease, doctors prescribe the hot waters of Carlsbad." Our walking tour will take in all the sights, including the many springs and the graceful Mill Colonnade. A ride up the nearby funicular provides us with great views of the surrounding landscape of beech and oak forests. The afternoon is at your leisure in this charming town. Overnight in Karlovy Vary. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 6 Karlovy Vary - Marianske Lanze - Cesky Krumlov This morning we depart for Marianske Lazne. The historic centre of the town stretches along the spa colonnade with its unique singing fountain and the main avenue lined with pastel coloured Art Deco facades. Most of the old state spa buildings date from the second half of the 19th century and are set amidst thickly forested hills. After our visit we depart for Southern Bohemia, where many towns have a Bavarian or Austrian flavour. In the late afternoon we arrive in the town of Cesky Krumlov. Medieval arcades and etched Renaissance facades in apricot, beige, and pea-green shades; rust-red, pink, and golden Baroque buildings surround this cobble stoned square with a Plague Monument (Morovy sloup) in its centre. Here you can explore the square, the side streets, and the winding River Vltava that separates the Old Town from the towering castle. This is undoubtedly one of the most exquisite towns in the Czech Republic. Overnight in Cesky Krumlov. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 7 Cesky Krumlov: Castle Tour Cesky Krumlov is undoubtedly one of the most exquisite towns in the Czech Republic, and always a favorite among travellers. Today we will visit the mighty Renaissance castle of Cesky Krumlov, once the seat of the powerful Lords of the Rozmberks and the Schwarzenbergs. The castle houses a rich collection of period furniture, tapestries and historical weapons. The present castle complex is one of the largest in Central Europe and was recorded on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1992 The great castle complex dominates the town of Cesky Krumlov. Under the Castle Complex lies the old town with its winding alleys and venerable Gothic and Renaissance houses. The historical centre of the town is on the UNESCO Heritage list, and after our castle tour the rest of your day will be free to stroll in this historical city centre. Explore the backstreets, visit the small shops and cafes, and wander the pathways along the river. Overnight in Cesky Krumlov. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 8 Cesky Krumlov - Telc, Czech Republic - Bratislava, Slovak Republic This morning we travel through the spectacular countryside of carp ponds to the medieval town of Trebon. The houses lining the thin main square are as romantic as they come, and the three gateways of the town wall have survived from the 16th century. After our visit in Trebon, we continue on to the historic town of Telc. The town of Telc dates from the 16th century and the historic houses which surround the central square are all linked by continuous arcades. In 1992 UNESCO added the historic centre of Telc to the World Heritage List. We continue to travel through the rolling hills of Southern Moravia, a region famous for its orchards and vineyards. Picturesque villages, towns and chateaux punctuate the landscape. After crossing the border into the Slovak Republic we will travel through the Small Carpathians, a thin strip of limestone hills altogether different from the soft, pine-clad hills of the Czech lands. In the late afternoon we will arrive in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Bratislava is situated on both banks of the Danube and a promontory of the Little Carpathians. During the second half of the 20th century, Bratislava finally became a Slovakian city where an ambitious rebuilding and restoration program has transformed the city. Overnight in Bratislava. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 9 Bratislava - Trencin: Castle Tour Bratislava is the youthful, dynamic, and bustling capital of Slovakia. It is also an historic town full of traditions, nostalgia and music, and proud of its rich past. This is where three different countries meet with their languages, traditions, and cultures producing something very pleasant and attractive, a certain microcosm of central Europe. Our morning city tour takes us to the main sights of Bratislava, including the historic Old Town, the Gothic Cathedral of St Martin, and the 14th century Tower of St Michael in the ancient city walls. After lunch in Bratislava we travel to Trencin in western Slovakia. Upon arrival we enjoy a walking tour of Trencin, including Trencin Castle. Together with Nitra and Bratislava, Trencin is one of the oldest of Slovak cities, chronicled as early as in the 11th century. Its strategic location near three Carpathian Mountain passes on the crossroads of commercial routes, has always determined the character of the city as a significant landmark. As early as in the ancient times, the famous Jasper Road used by the Etruscan, Greek, and later Roman merchants to transport precious jasper from the Baltic region, was crossing Trencin. The city is dominated by Trencin Castle, which is the third-largest castle in Slovakia. Trencin Castle, with extensive fortifications, has several palace buildings that surround the central medieval tower. Today this remains the highest point of the city. Below the castle, on the hillside, is a small square that is reached by a historic covered stairs as well as by winding side streets. The old town also has a large main square, with a large baroque church and a variety of shops. Overnight in Trencin. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 10 Trencin - Bojnice - Ruzomberok - Horny Smokovec Today's journey takes us via Bojnice, a small town in the center of the country at the upper Nitra River. This is one of the oldest spa towns in Slovakia and home to the famous Bojnice Castle, which we will visit during our stop here. We will take a short walk through the town itself is situated just below the castle. We will also stop today in the town of Ruzomberok situated in the Vah River Valley. Established by German colonists in 1223, Ruzomberok became renowned for its guilds, industrial production, tinkers and craftsmen. Horny Smokovec is the gateway to the High Tatras National Park, founded in 1948 and forming the northernmost section of the Carpathian Mountains. This geographic region is home to numerous glacial lakes and has a distinctly alpine character. Overnight in Horny Smokovec. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 11 Pieniny National Park Our sightseeing for today takes us first to the Pieniny National Park, crown jewel of the most impressive areas of natural beauty in central Europe. Our visit to the park region will include a tour of the medieval Cerveny Klastor, at one time a Carthusian monastery. Adjacent to the monastery runs the Dunajec River, a natural border dividing Slovakia and Poland. From here we will continue on to the open-air museum of folk architecture in Stara Lubovna. This visit gives us the opportunity to walk amongst a collection of precious wooden houses dating from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. After lunch we continue on to the town of Kezmarok where part of our tour includes a visit to the famous German built wooden Lutheran Church, a unique work of great carpentry and artistry. From here we return to Horny Smokovec. Overnight in Horny Smokovec. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 12 Horny Smokovec - Bratislava Today we journey back to Bratislava, a scenic route through the mountain ranges of the High Tatras to the Low Tatras -- mountain peaks and hiking trails, still green forests, bubbling streams, and haystacks like miniature, peak-roofed houses. We arrive in the mid-afternoon. Overnight in Bratislava. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 13 Bratislava, Slovak Republic - Budapest, Hungary This morning we travel by road from Bratislava to Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Hungary is a land of beautiful monuments and romantic music. Buda and Pest, two of the city's three regions, both face the mighty Danube, which forms the physical and spiritual centre of the Hungarian capital. It is its centrepiece, its heart, and its pulse. Its relationship with the city is even more intimate than that of the Seine with Paris or the Arno with Florence. On arrival we will embark on a walking tour of city's urban heart. This area is full of stately old buildings, grand avenues, and innumerable tiny streets. We will take local transport to the huge neo-Gothic Parliament (Orszaghaz), the most visible building of Budapest's left bank. Built by 1000 workers between 1885 and 1902, this building has now become the symbol of the capital with its slender towers, spacious arcades, high windows and vast central dome. Nearby one can see the magnificent building housing the Museum of Ethnography. Walking southeast we come to the stately and sprawling Liberty Square (Szabadsag ter). In the square's center remains a gold hammer and sickle atop a white stone obelisk, one of the few monuments to the Russian 'liberation' of Budapest in 1945. Passing by Roosevelt Square we soon come to the famous Chain Bridge, the oldest and most beautiful of the seven road bridges that span the Danube in Budapest. Before it was built, the river could be crossed only by ferry or by a pontoon bridge that had to be moved when ice blocks began floating downstream in the winter. We continue along the pedestrian 'Promenade' with great views of Gellert Hill and Castle Hill on the opposite bank. We will stroll past the Concert Hall (Vigado), which is a curious mix of Byzantine, Moorish, Romanesque and Hungarian motifs. From here we walk to one of the liveliest places in Budapest, Vorosmarty Ter, a large square that the north end of Budapest's best known shopping street--Vaci Utca. This is a fantastic pedestrian-only area of the city that has undergone a full transformation over the last 10 years. Eventually we will arrive at the famous 19th century Central Market Hall. This cavernous three-story market teems with people browsing stalls packed with everything from salamis and red-paprika chains to folk embroideries and souvenirs. We finish our day back at our hotel with a break before dinner. Overnight in Budapest. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 14 Budapest: City Tour This morning we depart for a bus tour of Budapest. We start our day at Heroes Square and nearby Vajdahunyad Castle, where we briefly learn a bit about the history of Hungary. Our tour will continue toward Margaret Bridge over which we cross to the Buda side. Our next stop is the Citadel, a great place for panoramic views of the whole city. After a quick picture stop we continue to castle hill where we spend the rest of the day. A visit of St Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastions is by many seen as a highlight of the day. After a lunch break we continue on foot to the Royal Palace, where we visit the National Gallery, dedicated exclusively to Hungarian art. At this point you are free to continue independent exploration or return on our bus back to the hotel. Your Tour Leader can help you to plan the rest of your day. Overnight in Budapest. Included Meal(s): Breakfast and Dinner

Day 15 Departure Departure from Budapest. BON VOYAGE!! Included Meal(s): Breakfast

Inclusions Breakfast and dinner (hotels & local restaurants) daily. All sightseeing and entrance fees for sites noted as 'visited' in the detailed itinerary. Gratuities for local guides, drivers, restaurant staff, porters. Airport transfers for land & air customers arriving / departing on tour dates.

Exclusions International airfare to/from the tour. Tour Leader gratuities, lunches, drinks, personal items (phone, laundry, etc), international air taxes (if applicable), excursions referenced as 'optional'. Airport transfers for Land Only customers. Our post-reservation trip notes offer further guidance on optional meal costs and shopping.

Seasonality and Weather This tour is offered in spring, summer and fall the most popular of which is are spring and fall when temperatures are relatively mild and crowds thinner. Showers quite possible in spring and fall, somewhat less so in summer though can occur any time. Summers can be humid though long daylight hours maximize exploration.

Transport and Travel Conditions Land transport throughout by private air-conditioned motor coach, 24-36 seats depending on ultimate group size (see 'group size'). Though we will have a couple of full bus days there are plenty of stops of interest. There may not be porters available in all locations. We also make use of public transit in some cities in order to maximize sightseeing where vehicles are impractical (most people quite enjoy this insight into daily life). This trip is typical of most of our European tours, which are ambitious and involve full days of travel and sightseeing. While we don't have any actual strenuous activity (ie hiking) built into the program, you will do a lot of walking on this trip. These walks will mostly be in the form of walking tours of towns and cities and short walks to dinner. Being Europe, and a hilly/mountainous area, cobbles, uneven surfaces, and slopes/stairs are common. If you are accustomed to typical "bus tours," which rely heavily on vehicular transport for all sightseeing activities, you should be aware that this tour is considerably more active.

Am I suitable for this tour? Please refer to our self-assessment form .

Accommodation Well-located, air- conditioned, mid-range hotels (3 star) throughout. Many are smaller properties (3-4 story) that may not have elevators. All hotels have en suite toilet and bath, though most have shower only. Porter service is sometimes available; you MUST be independent with your luggage. Single rooms are limited and likely smaller than twins.

Czech Republic Tours, Trips & Vacation Packages

czechoslovakia tour package

The Czech Republic is a small landlocked country situated south-east of Germany bordering Austria to the south, Poland to the north and Slovakia to the south-east. It is not a large country but has a rich and eventful history . From time immemorial, Czechs, Germans, Jews and Slovaks as well as Italian stonemasons, French tradesmen and deserters from Napoleon’s army have all lived and worked here all leaving their influence, all to be seen on a Czech Republic vacation.

It is thanks to their inventiveness and skill that this small country is graced with hundreds of ancient castles, monasteries and stately mansions, and even entire towns that give the impression of being comprehensive artefacts. The Czech Republic contains a vast amount of architectural treasure and has beautiful forests and mountains to match. On 1 January 1993, the country underwent a "velvet divorce" into its two national components, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The main language spoken is not only Czech. The Slovak language can also be heard, especially in big cities, as there is a sizable Slovak minority and both languages are mutually intelligible. Czech people are very proud of their language, and thus, even in Prague, you will not find many signs written in English (outside of the main tourist areas). Many older people, especially outside the large cities, are also unable to converse in English. However, most young people speak at least some English as it has been taught in most schools since 1990. Most Czechs speak a second and often a third language. English is the most widely known, especially among younger people.

The Czech language can be difficult for English speakers to grasp, as it is not an easy language to learn especially if you are not familiar with the other Slavic languages. The language has many local dialects, especially in Moravia. Some dialects are so different that they can be sometimes misunderstood even by a native Czech speaker from a different region. However, all Czech people understand the standard Czech (as spoken in TV, written in newspapers and taught in schools).

The Czech Republic is the country where modern beer (pivo in Czech) was invented (in Plzen). Czechs are the heaviest beer drinkers in the world and going to a cozy Czech pub for dinner and a few beers is a must on Czech Republic tours!  Czech lager is nothing like the fizzy lagers found in many other countries. Instead, it has a very strong, hoppy, almost bitter flavour and goes very well with heavy dishes like duck or pork and dumplings or strong cheese.

The capital of the Czech Republic is Prague with its incredible historic centre. This magical city of bridges, cathedrals, golden-domed towers and church domes is mirrored on the surface of the swan-filled Vltava River. Prague is also a modern and vibrant city full of energy, music, cultural art, fine dining and special events which can be enjoyed on Prague vacations. Cesky Krumlov is a beautiful city with a castle and a picturesque centre. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Like Prague, the town is situated on the Vltava River and is full of Baroque buildings. The town's appearance has hardly changed since the 18th century and the buildings have been well maintained and restored.

Kutna Hora was a silver mining town in medieval times and once the second Czech city to Prague in terms of population. Although Kutna Hora has some comparatively drab modern architecture, it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1995. The town is home to restored older architecture with many Medieval, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque buildings which can be viewed on Czech Republic tours.

Karlovy Vary, meaning "Charles' Bath" was named after Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor who founded the city in 1370. It is famous for its hot springs and its colourful and whimsical architecture. Olomouc has the second largest and second oldest historic preservation zone in the country. It is situated on the Moravia River and was the capital of Moravia until 1641 and is the sixth largest city in the country.

Brno is the major city of Moravia (a historical region). It is the largest city in Moravia and the second largest city in the Czech Republic. It represents the administrative centre of the South Moravia region and is located in a beautiful natural environment between the South Moravian vineyards and the Moravian Karst.

Czech Republic Tourism: Local Dishes To Try

Svíčková na smetané (marinated sirloin).

Try this popular dish made from a sirloin steak, root vegetables and spices. Sour cream tops the dish before serving. It is both warm and delectable during the cold season. Aromatic spices like allspice berries, bay leaves, and mustard seeds add flavour to the sauce. Sometimes whipping cream garnishes the dish instead of sour cream. This is a festival dish that families often serve on their first Christmas feast.

Rízek (schnitzel)

Rízek is a traditional dish loved by Czech people. Also known as schnitzel, it is commonly made at home using a thin slice of pork coated in flour, beaten eggs, and bread crumbs. Rízek is pan-fried with enough fats applied on both sides to make it golden brown. Preparing this dish requires following a specific order called "v trojobalu," meaning coated three times. The dish may feature chicken breast fillet too.

Česnečka (Garlic soup)

Often used as a hangover cure in the Czech Republic, this soup is a broth of potatoes, garlic, and onions. Some variations may also contain a raw egg in the cooked soup. The heat of the soup cooks the raw egg itself. Small pieces of sausage, pork, or cheese add flavour to the soup. This clear garlic soup may also have chicken stock that is loaded with fresh garlic, dried Marjoram, and some bay leaves. A garnish of rye bread croutons is the last step.

Karbanátek means “hamburger” or “meatball” in English. This is one of the most typical Czech-style patty spiced with garlic and Marjoram. Important ingredients that go into the dish are ground beef and pork. Finely chopped onion and white bread soaked in milk help in binding. Karbanátek is pan-fried until golden brown with breadcrumbs coated on them. It is a main-dish with sides of boiled or mashed potatoes.

Things to Do On Czech Republic Trip

Czech Republic holiday packages should include at least a few of these must-do things in the Czech Republic.

Dining In The Dancing House

This is the famous landmark of the Czech Republic, which is most photographed by tourists on their Czech Republic tour packages. This world-class architectural masterpiece is officially known as Nationale-Nederlanden building. Dining here is a unique experience.

Visit The Library In The Theological Hall

The library located in the Strahov Monastery is the favourite activity of visitors belonging to the reader genre. Czech Republic Holiday Packages

Places to visit in the czech republic.

Probably an essential thing one needs to plan and include in his/her Czech Republic travel packages is the list of places they would want to visit. To ease you in your decision making, we have listed a few of the beautiful sightseeing and exploring areas of the Czech Republic.

The top thing that Czech is famous for is its architecture. And Plzen is one of the most explored cities of Czech in this regard. This fourth largest city of Czech is designed in a western Bohemian manner. St Bartholomew's Cathedral, the Great Synagogue, and the Renaissance-style Town Hall are must-sees.

2. Litomysl

Two of the major highlights of the town include the palace where noted classical music composer Bedrich Smetananoted was born, and the second is the Portmoneum, which is the former home of art lovers Josef Portman. This place is decorated with art on walls, floors, ceilings, and furniture.

This town was created to improve trade with countries like Bohemia, Moravia, and Austria. For all the lovers of scenic beauty and amazing architecture, this place offers easter-egg colors and renaissance architecture and beautiful churches.

Best time to visit

While you get your hands on the best Czech tourism packages , you need to know when it is the right time to visit Czech and enjoy the unusual occurrences that nature makes there. The best time to visit Czech is divided into two parts. It is during the springtime, i.e., mid-March to mid-May and during the fall time, i.e., September to mid of November. It is during this time that Czech receives the ideal amount of guests and also the weather is at its best.

Most of the people like to avail the Czech tour packages during the summertime because of the pleasantly warm sun shining in the sky spreading the rays of hope and calmness. The crowd is comparatively low during winters.

How to reach?

Are you excited to explore the Czech Republic?

Czech has always been left under-explored. Still, since very recently people have started liking what Czech has to display, its rich culture, architecture, the monuments, the pleasant weather, warm people, and whatnot. And hence, the means of transportation within the Czech Republic have also grown over these years. It is imperative to know in detail what all things your Czech Republic trip packages include because only then you will be able to better assess your extra costs of traveling and other little things.

The Czech Republic has four international airports, which means it is well connected with all countries of the world. You can easily find direct or indirect flights from your country to the Czech. Outside every airport, taxis are readily available that will help you in reaching your destination. The four airports of Czech are located in Prague, Ostrava, Brno, and Karlovy Vary.

If you are not a fan of airways and like to travel by bus, you'd be glad to know that Czech offers a vast network of roads connected to various neighboring countries. RegioJet, Eurolines, LEO Express, Polski Bus, Lux Express, Hello, Flixbus, Ecolines, and Orangeways are some of the important and most popular international bus companies services to this country.

Czech is also connected to several European countries through a network of trains. So, if you are traveling from Europe, you'd surely want to try the railways which are not only safe and enjoyable but also cost-effective.

Varun's 5 days trip to Singapore

Prompt ticket vouchers issued . Though in Singapore they don't provide any guide( will be provided only for half day of city tour and that to he is more interested in taking tourist to his own friend's shop for local shopping ) and every time new shared shuttle/bus service ......its driver may or may not inform ( which is bare minimum ask of a tourist in case of no guide )you about your drop location as some time they have different drops in the same route . Operations team assumes that you will know your self which point first to visit and to where take drop first and will always challenge your common sense .Rather a planned itinerary WITH which points to cover first would be an better solution specially in the case of Marina Sand & Gardens Way ..... We had to walk like headless chicken in heat for almost 20 mins with Kid to reach at correct point because driver didn't bothered to ask for the drop at Marina Sand . 10/10 for booking related thing . Cabs & Shared Shuttle 7.5/10.... Coordination & Guidance - 5/10

Rrajani's 6 days trip to Singapore

It is one of the most fabulous trips of ours. Right from booking the trip to return home we had the smoothest experience of co-operation. Our travel agent Aniket Tiwari was super coordinative and quick to respond. Only drawback was regarding the hotel, inspite of early checkin, they were not agreeing to provide us the key to the room which took us some time to explain. Overall an excellent experience.
