Edinburgh fans of Easy Life were left feeling disgruntled, as the band have postponed their album release and UK record store tour .

The Leicester band posted a sad update to their social medias , telling their fans of the news that the album will be postponed until October. "we also have to move the UK record store tour and US tour so it all fits together. fml – new dates to be announced asap. sorry to everyone who’s pre-ordered and bought tickets already, BIG LOVE FROM EASY LIFE, i promise it’s worth the wait. MAYBE IN ANOTHER MONTH…"

With the Maybe In Another Life album release being pushed back to October 7 2022, Edinburgh will have to wait to see their favourite artist play the Liquid Rooms for a couple months more.

The band were originally scheduled to play Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms, in partnership with Assai Records Edinburgh, on Wednesday, August 3 2022. Fans flocked to Easy Life's comments to share their sadness in the announcement.

One Twitter user wrote: "why, though? If you can't keep the date don't announce it!"

Another said: "Not happy!"

A third wrote: "i guess I'll live. does this mean we'll get another single actually? or is it just the 3 we've got until October?"

More comments read: "Be worth the wait!"

While others said: "not the news i needed. sad times!"

Finally, one concluded: "Ah that sucks, but the end result will be better for it. So it will be worth the wait :)."

Easy Life's new album, Maybe In Another Life, will be released on Friday, October 7 2022. Keep up to date on the Assai Records website for updates on when the Edinburgh show will be rescheduled.

Leicester band Easy Life has made the 'dreaded' announcement this week that they are putting the brakes on their tour after band and crew members tested positive for Covid-19.

The band were on the first leg of their tour, following the release of their third album, Life's a Beach - which reached number two in the official UK album chart.

After kicking off the tour in Leicester on July 19 with two shows at the Y Theatre, the band went on to play sellout gigs in Nottingham, Newcastle, Leeds and more.

But the next seven shows have now had to be postponed.

Sharing the bad news across their social media channels, the band said: "We've been dreading having to do this but we're very sorry to say that one of the band and members of the crew have tested positive for Covid.

"We're gonna have to postpone our next few shows and are working to reschedule them for August asap."

The band did not share which member contracted the virus.

New dates are expected for shows in Sheffield, Norwich, Brighton, Southampton and Portsmouth with the next, scheduled gig in Kingston upon Thames.

The tour had been long anticipated by both the band and their fans.

Throughout the tour, the band has encouraged and reminded fans to take lateral flow tests ahead of gigs on social media.

In their announcement, they added: "Playing these shows to all of you has meant the world so we're obviously gutted to have to do this and we're sorry.

"Stay safe and see you soon xxx."

Easy Life's posts on Instagram and Twitter have been met by floods of well wishes from fans.

I have loved them to so long, and it was amazing to be able to see them!! They played the best songs and the opening act was so good. Me and my friends were right at the front the whole time and loved every second. We even met them afterwards and got photos!!

Was amazing the band were so interactive with fans and made sure that they were present in the front rows, even taking part in crowd surfing and a mosh pit. Was the best night i’ve had in a long time

  • But we really hope you love us.

Lovely people.

I appreciate we’ve got some explaining to do here - so much has happened in this last 10 days and it’s been a whirlwind, please forgive me for not sharing more detail sooner - this all came to a head last night, and having explored literally every possible avenue, we have realised that there are no good options available to us, and we need to change our name to move forward.

Sadly, it seems that justice is only available to those who can afford it. We simply don’t have the funds to access a fair trial in the high court. Not to mention the fact that this would likely rattle on through to 2025, and with this hanging over us we wouldn’t be able to release any music in the meantime. Our careers, and indeed our lives, would be on hold.

We’re not a nameless company; as you’ve seen, it’s our own personal names on the paperwork. This means that should we lose, the costs will be recouped from us personally. They could take everything; material possessions, our livelihoods, our homes.

You can imagine the turmoil this has caused us, but I really hope this helps you understand our situation. We have found solace in the outpourings of love and support, for which we are all grateful for beyond words.

I’m writing this on Tuesday, now in the knowledge that our final day as the ‘easy life’ you know is probably Friday - fittingly Friday the 13th. We have managed to get some shows together (literally booked last night), and we really hope as many of you as possible will be able to come and join us for the farewell parties.

Even though we aren’t able to fight this, we now need to go into a period of legal mediation with Easy Group about what happens next. We’re really hoping they might be gracious about this, and we are hopeful for the opportunity to finally put out the song we know you’ve been wanting for years. Still not as we’d imagined, but it’s a song for you guys and we want you to have it.

It’s with the deepest sadness that I confirm once again, that we, as easy life, will be playing our final shows this week. Perhaps our case will help provoke a dialogue around legal reform and justice being available to all, however I fear such conversations will fall on deaf ears.

Who knows what will happen next, every storm runs out of rain eventually.

Thanks again for your support,

Easy Life Announce North American Tour Dates

easy life's new album will be released on October 7.

pixeltracker

easy life announced their 2023 North American headlining tour, starting in Mexico City on April 20, the British five-piece will be making stops across country and will conclude in New York City on May 9. For more information and tickets, go to: https://www.easylifemusic.com

Last week, easy life shared their brand-new single 'ANTIFREEZE,' which is available now on GEFFEN Records and came with an official music video. A collaboration with Gus Dapperton, the track comes from the British band's much-anticipated second album, 'MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE...'. Released October 7. Pre-order/add/save HERE .

The band started to tease the new album earlier this year with first single 'BEESWAX,' followed by the anthemic DEAR MISS HOLLOWAY (which features Kevin Abstract, who joined the group on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury) and their summer single 'OTT' alongside New Zealand pop star BENEE.

Having first toured together back in 2018, 'ANTIFREEZE' was written during lockdown by easy life front-manMurray and US bedroom pop prince Gus Dapperton. Here are two young men finding common emotional ground even over Zoom, and pushing their idiosyncratic sounds and emotionally unguarded storytelling somewhere new. 'ANTIFREEZE' arrives alongside a trippy video shot in New York during easy life's sold out US tour, expanding the colorful visual world of 'MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE...' ahead of its release next month.

In 2022, easy life - an escapist band, formed on the hedonistic outlook of 'no regrets' - appear compelled to put their ethos to the test. Melancholic, uplifting and hugely sophisticated, MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE... is a record about how our choices define us, for better and worse, and chronicles how to make peace with things we can't control.

Throughout, Murray's world-class production absorbs influences ranging from the manic hip-hop energy of Odd Future to a colorful visual palette, as inspired by classic Disney animation as it is the dreamlike art noveau of Wes Anderson. If life's a beach was easy life sunny-side-up - a rounded, realist study of Middle England - it's on the lockdown make-believe of MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE... that Murray's shank-sharp observations about modern British life hit hardest. What's emerged is an expertly-realized vision of masculinity, which encourages us - whether having the 'OTT' conversation, or exuberant world-building - to find joy in the journey, not just the destination.

Over the last few years, easy life has broken new ground for UK bands on the world's stage. Observational, universal, and deeply personal, debut album life's a beach explored an escapist fantasy of dreary middle England: here was a reminder to find the positives, even in the darkest of years, told through the prism of a seaside getaway.

Upon its release, the NME-Award-winners became the first band to perform within Fortnite(the world's biggest game), also making their US television debut on ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' with a rousing performance of their song 'skeletons'. Here are a band going where others don't and bringing their hugely impassioned global audience along for the next chapter of the easy life experience.

The new album, MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE... will be released on OCTOBER 7. Pre-order/save HERE .

Russian winters (December-February) are not for the faint of heart as Napoleon learned to his peril. Some days the sun will be out for less than an hour, and snow is guaranteed. Although winters are exceptionally cold, this is when you’ll get a true glimpse of the Moscow experience!

The best time to visit Moscow is during spring  (March-May). The temperatures will begin to creep up and the sun begins to shine for significant portions of the day. Hotel rates will also have yet to skyrocket into peak ranges!

Whether you’re spending one day in Moscow, or more, safety is an important thing to keep in mind when traveling to a big city! Overall, Moscow is a very safe place to visit. However, it is always recommended that tourists take certain precautions when traveling to a new destination!

The police in Moscow is extremely effective at making the city a safe place to visit and do their best to patrol all of the top Moscow, Russia tourist attractions. However, tourists can still be a target for pickpockets and scammers.

Moscow has a huge flow of tourists, therefore there is a risk for pickpocketing. Simple precautions will help eliminate your chances of being robbed. Stay vigilant, keep your items close to you at all times, and don’t flash your valuables!

If you’re planning a solo Moscow itinerary, you should have no need to worry, as the city is also considered safe for solo travelers, even women. Stay in the populated areas, try and not travel alone late at night, and never accept rides from strangers or taxis without a meter and correct signage.

The threat of natural disasters in Moscow is low, with the exception of severe winters when the temperature can dip below freezing! Bring a good, warm jacket if you visit in Winter.

However, please note that Russian views on homsexuality are far less accepting than those in Western Europe. Likewise, Non-Caucasian travellers may sadly encounter racism in Russia .

RBC Heritage: Final round suspended due to darkness, Monday finish underway at Harbour Town

Change Text Size

Updated: Monday, April 22, 8 a.m. ET: The final round of the RBC Heritage resumed at 8 a.m. ET.

Scheffler, chasing his fourth PGA TOUR win in five starts, authored a signature moment in the waning twilight Sunday, recovering from a hooked 4-iron second shot on the par-4 15th with a sorcerous wedge to 11 feet that he converted for an unlikely par to maintain a five-stroke lead over Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, J.T. Poston and Sahith Theegala.

Scheffler, chasing his fourth PGA TOUR win in five starts, stood 20 under for the tournament as the final round was suspended due to darkness at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, with nine players yet to complete the final round on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

This will be the second unscheduled Monday finish on the PGA TOUR this season and first since the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, won by Austin Eckroat. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, won by Wyndham Clark, was shortened to 54 holes after play was unable to be contested on Sunday and Monday.

Sunday’s play at Harbour Town was initially suspended at 4:28 p.m. due to lightning in the area. The final pairing of Scheffler and Sepp Straka had completed 11 holes at the time. Players were removed from the course, with the delay ultimately lasting 2 hours and 32 minutes before play resumed at 7 p.m.

Scottie Scheffler's masterful par save at RBC Heritage

Updated: Sunday, April 21, 6:30 p.m. ET: The final round of the RBC Heritage will resume at 7 p.m. ET.

Updated: Sunday, April 21, 5:40 p.m. ET: The final round of the RBC Heritage will not resume at 6 p.m. ET.

Updated: Sunday, April 21, 5:28 p.m. ET: The final round of the RBC Heritage is scheduled to resume at 6 p.m. ET.

Updated: Sunday, April 21, 4:28 p.m. ET: The RBC Heritage’s final round has been suspended due to lightning in the area, with the final groups playing the back nine Sunday at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Play was suspended at 4:28 p.m. local time, with leader Scottie Scheffler playing the 12th hole. Players were taken off the course at the time of suspension.

Scheffler began the final round at 16 under, one stroke clear of Sepp Straka, and the world No. 1 turned in 3-under 33 with a chip-in eagle at the par-5 second, a two-putt birdie at the par-5 fifth and seven pars. Scheffler stood 19 under, four strokes clear of the field at the time of delay. Seven players stood 15 under.

“We were hoping to play through this; we felt like we had another 25 minutes left of this heavy rain and were then going to get a break on the back end,” said Mark Dusbabek, the PGA TOUR’s senior director lead TV Rules & Video Analyst, on the CBS broadcast. “We had lightning unfortunately pop up 4 miles away; just suddenly caught us in, so we had to stop play for this. We’re going to see how things go here and make a decision.

"The course was not unplayable. It wasn't because of the rain. It was just because the lightning popped up."

The final round of the RBC Heritage is poised to deliver fans a fantastic finish, but that might not come without a little bit of weather late in the day.

After the first three rounds of tournament golf at Harbour Town Golf Links were accompanied by sunshine and temperatures ranging from the upper 70s into the mid-80s, Sunday could bring golfers a different challenge to navigate as the tournament comes to a close.

According to the forecast, a cold front will be slowly moving southward into the Hilton Head Island area on Sunday, increasing the chances for showers and a few thunderstorms as play gets into the early to mid-afternoon hours and continuing into the evening hours. Storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rainfall. Otherwise, Sunday morning will remain dry with temperatures warming into the mid to upper 70s before falling into the 60s late in the day. Light wind Sunday morning will increase out of the north 10-15 gusting to 20-25 mph late in the day.

The final pairing of the day, Scottie Scheffler and Sepp Straka, are set to tee off at 1:55 p.m. ET. Scheffler holds a one-stroke lead at 16-under.
