TRENDY GALLERY proudly presents “Take Your Time”, an art exhibition of SUNTUR’s time that tells the story of his travels and encounters, and how he has passed through the clock of life over a period of 33 years, collecting memories into 33 paintings. With the 3rd solo art exhibition, you will experience the atmosphere of sharing and learning from each other through his personal experiences from SUNTUR’s original paintings that capture ideas from people and events throughout their lives on this planet. This is meant to connect feelings to review ourselves together.

At The Movies: Saltburn full of shock value, Endless Journey a sensitive character study

Saltburn (R21)

131 minutes, available on prime video 3 stars.

The story: England’s Oxford University, circa 2006. Misfit scholarship freshman Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) is invited to the stately country estate of popular campus aristocrat Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi) for a summer never to be forgotten.

What is reputedly the most polarising film of 2023 is now available to stream, appalling home viewers with its menstrual blood and necrophilia – all before Saltburn climaxes in a full-frontal five-minute dance.

English film-maker Emerald Fennell is clearly enjoying building on the attention of her 2020 rape revenge comedy Promising Young Woman, which won her the Academy Award for original screenplay.

Her sophomore feature is a depraved black comedy-satire on privilege and envy as Oliver becomes obsessed with not only the blindingly beautiful Felix, but also desires everything Felix has.

And it is not hard for the house guest to worm his way into the family because the British gentry are twits in Fennell’s telling.

Richard E. Grant and Rosamund Pike are a hoot as the parents – befuddled Sir James and shallow former model Lady Elspeth. There is a bulimic nymphomaniac sister (Alison Oliver), and an American cousin (Archie Madekwe) is Oliver’s rival for the Catton fortune.

Oliver could be Matt Damon’s sociopath imposter of The Talented Mr Ripley (1999) intruding upon the 1945 Evelyn Waugh novel Brideshead Revisited, except the comparison would be too flattering for this cynical homoerotic thriller.

It piles on deviant provocations in the absence of originality or any insights into the English class system, other than the plebs are parasites and the poshos are clueless.

But it is an irresistible watch, thanks to Keoghan’s shifty and sinister presence in the central role. His every scene of squirmy dread could end in sex or murder. Often, it ends in both.

Hot take: Equal parts sleek and sick, this shock-value psychosexual drama will either entertain or repulse.

Endless Journey (PG13)

132 minutes, opens on Jan 4 4 stars

The story: A detective investigating a 14-year-old’s rape-murder is convicted of the suspect’s death under custody. After prison, he resumes his pursuit for justice as a civilian.

Chinese star Zhang Yi is shattering in his portrayal of Captain Cheng Bing, and Endless Journey is all the sadder for being a true story based on a 2018 non-fiction novel by Chinese author and erstwhile policeman Shen Lan.

It begins in 2002, when Cheng and his valorised Third Squad criminal investigation task force are assigned the shocking case in China’s Guangdong province.

He promises an arrest within five days. The pressure mounts along with the public’s panic, leading to a fatal mishap and jail for the five disgraced officers.

Upon release eight years later, they reassemble under Cheng to find the remaining fugitive.

Their vigilantism is without heroism. This crime drama is a very different police undertaking from actor-director Dai Mo’s 2020 Detective Chinatown buddy caper Web series.

Zhang aside, Dai’s astute casting of unfamiliar yet expressive everyman faces such as Zhang Zixian and Wei Chen adds to the realism of a downbeat docudrama. It sees the fallen cops working lowly jobs as drivers, deliverymen and security guards while trawling the country’s depressed industrialised south – up and down, for 12 years.

One by one, they come to acknowledge the futility of recapturing their past and return home to attempt a new start.

Cheng continues the manhunt, ageing and alone.

His wife, like his comrades, has moved on and his daughter is estranged. What is his never-ending chase if not a tragedy of a man running from the emptiness in his life?

Hot take: This authentic and sensitive character study deservedly claimed the No. 1 spot at China’s box office in December.

None. Characters on an Endless Journey account are eligible for up to the total of 720 skill points and follow the same stat restrictions of a veteran account. Endless Journey accounts may use Scrolls of Alacrity, Power, Stat, and Transcendence.

Can I use a character transfer with an Endless Journey account?

Yes, character transfer tokens can be used to transfer to all shards where character transfers are eligible. Endless Journey accounts may not character copy but can access TC1.

What kind of access to storage does an Endless Journey account have?

Endless Journey  accounts have access to a standard player backpack and a bank box limited to 20 items ( storage expansions can increase the max item count to 28).

What happens to my bank if I am a veteran account and decide to close my account?

Nothing. Your bank will remain waiting for you until you decide to re-subscribe.

Housing & Vendors

Can Endless Journey accounts own a house?

Endless Journey  accounts may not place, own, be traded, or co-own a house and may only enter public housing. Endless Journey accounts can be friended to a house for access to wall safes.

Are there other housing related restrictions to Endless Journey?

Endless Journey accounts cannot access mailboxes, locked down or secure containers, drop stackable items onto a locked down stack, or place auction safes. Endless Journey accounts cannot safe logout in housing and must use a city inn or tavern.

Can Endless Journey accounts access Vendor Search and interact with player vendors and auction safes?

Yes, Endless Journey accounts can access Vendor Search and freely purchase items from vendors and auction safes. However they may not place regular and rental vendors or auction safes.

Can Endless Journey accounts collect IDOC loot?

Endless Journey  accounts are not able to pickup IDOC loot until a 30-minute cooldown period has passed.

Can Endless Journey accounts access chat?

Yes, Endless Journey accounts have access to General Chat and Global Direct Messaging .

Dungeons, Combat, and PvP

Can Endless Journey accounts participate in Champ Spawns?

Endless Journey  can use Valor to start champion spawns and acquire valor while doing spawns but may not receive rewards or scrolls from Champions.

Can Endless Journey accounts participate in Vice vs Virtue and Player vs Player combat?

Yes, Endless Journey accounts may join guilds to participate in VvV, however are not eligible to create their own guild. While in VvV Endless Journey accounts do not gain town occupation points . Endless Journey accounts may freely participate in PvP however may not use or gain the Justice Virtue and cannot protect or be protected by another player via the Justice Virtue.

Expansions, Boosters, and Theme Packs

Can Endless Journey accounts access dungeons, the Stygian Abyss, and the Valley of Eodon?

Endless Journey accounts have full access to all Trammel and Felucca dungeons, The Second Age, and the Stygian Abyss. Endless Journey accounts may access the Valley of Eodon if they have purchased the Time of Legends  expansion.

Are there restrictions on accessing expansions, boosters, and theme packs?

Endless Journey accounts include access to all content up to Mondain’s Legacy and Stygian Abyss . Access to  High Seas, The Gothic & Rustic Theme Packs, The King’s Collection,  and Time of Legends is available if purchased.

Miscellaneous

Are Endless Journey accounts eligible for veteran, promotional, holiday and Event Moderator rewards?

Endless Journey accounts may not claim veteran rewards and will not gain time towards veteran status, however they may use otherwise claimed and obtained veteran rewards. Endless Journey accounts may not claim promotional, holiday, or Event Moderator rewards and cannot attack Event Moderator creatures.

Can an Endless Journey account harvest resources from the world?

Endless Journey  accounts may only harvest basic resources such as iron ore and regular lumbar and are not eligible for double resource bonuses in Felucca. Endless Journey accounts may use pack animals to assist in their harvesting efforts and can receive Mondain’s Legacy resource rewards. Endless Journey accounts may not use commodity deeds.

Can an Endless Journey account use the Pet Summoning Ball, Bracelet of Binding, and Bag or Chest of Sending?

Endless Journey  accounts may use the Pet Summoning Ball and Bracelet of Binding, but may not use the Bag or Chest of Sending.

Michele Barmettler, ABM, AGS

Michele has been working in health care for 14 years first in home health and then in hospice care. She has been an Office Manager for 10 of those 14 years. Michele has had several experiences with loved ones involved with hospice care and each experience has been different. The biggest lesson she learned is about the quality of life at the end of life. At Endless Journey, Michele loves the community and the attention for the care given not only to the patient but also the family and beyond.

One of the biggest ways Michele would like to see change in the hospice care industry is that all parties and insurance companies should waive deductibles and co-insurance while on hospice. Her goals for Endless Journey are all about Growth and education. This includes buying their new building and acquiring financing for the 12 suite hospice houses.

When Michele isn’t working hard to bring these goals to fruition, you will find her playing a mean game of cards with her family, golfing and enjoying a football game.

Stacey Fife, RN

Stacey has worked in healthcare for the last 18 years. She started her career as a CNA, obtained an LPN license in 2007 and then graduated with her RN in 2009. In 2016, Stacey’s nursing career switched gears after being a part of an inspiring moment between a nurse and a long-term care resident. This nurse poured all her care and attention into this resident so that he was not alone during his final moments and his family felt loved and cared for too. This nurse’s compassion and love changed Stacey’s life and helped solidify her calling for hospice care.

Stacey believes that the last chapter of life is just as precious and important as the first. It is her mission to spread awareness about the hospice benefit and educate the community about the services that hospice can provide. Most people do not understand how amazing the hospice experience can be for the patients and their families during the most delicate and intimate time of a person’s life. Stacey is honored to be a part of someone’s final journey and to provide comfort and support along the way.

When she is not working, Stacey is busy with her family of eight. Whether at football with her boys or dance for her girls, or at a school event driving the kids from one event to another. They are always on the go. Stacey enjoys staying busy and can’t imagine life any other way.

Dr. Arif Sattar

Medical director.

Dr. Sattar has been practicing in the field of Internal Medicine since 1995. In 2005 Dr. Sattar founded Nebraska House Call Physicians (NHCP) and has dedicated the last 16 years of practice to senior and geriatric care medicine.  In addition to being Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Sattar is also Board Certified in Palliative and Hospice Care and a Certified Medical Director through the American Medical Director’s Association.

As Founder and CEO of NHCP, Dr Sattar’s goal is to provide for the needs of senior patients across the care continuum.  In addition to following your loved ones in skilled or long-term care, NHCP also has a division dedicated to providing “office visits” in the comfort of your home.  Whether you are living in your private residence, Independent Living, or Assisted Living, NHCP is available to be with you every step of the way.

Maria Cunningham-Wilkins RD, LMNT, Chef

Maria joins us from the hospital setting in Kansas. She has such passion and belief that she has chosen to relocate to be a part of the Endless Journey experience. Her background as a Registered Dietician spans from the kitchen as a Chef with over 25 years of experience to the clinical setting as the Manager of Dietary Services.

She has a heart for nourishing others through her support and encouragement, as well as her ability to express this through food. She has designed the Hospitality and Nutrition discipline to include specialized programs to accommodate client needs and the comforts of home.

Family means everything to her, and she considers Endless Journey and each of our clients and family an extension of her own. She has a heart of gold and looks forward to serving each client and family in her own unique and culinary way.

Mandy Sigman HTP, EOLD, C Aromatherapy

Mandy is certified in Massage and Energy at the Massage and Energy Connection College of Application in St. Louis Missouri in 1996. She was brought up on home remedies, using natural elements, plants, and oils her entire life. She has been practicing energy work for over 20 years. Mandy is a certified Aromatherapist, Aroma Apothecary and an End-of-Life Doula through the International End of Life Doulas Association. She is also a Healing Touch Practitioner Level 4 and has worked with Healing Beyond Borders.

Mandy loves to help people meet death well because she believes it is a soul journey, not a physical experience. She believes through holistic interventions such as energy work, aromatherapy and doula care, Endless Journey is able to help people naturally and treat them as a whole person. Mandy believes in care for mind, body, and spirit and is known around the office as the person who is willing to go out of her way to help anyone, anytime.

Kelly Keller

Volunteer coordinator.

Kelly has been working in the field of hospice since 2006. She started working as the Volunteer Coordinator with Endless Journey in 2019, drawn to the unique vision and ethos of Endless Journey.

 Kelly’s personal mission is to help others connect with their best selves and find ways to offer their gifts for the benefit of others. Kelly also coordinates the activities of EJ’s Level Five We Honor Veterans program.  Kelly has been recognized by the Nebraska Hospice and Palliative Care Association with the Spirit of Hospice Award in 2009 and is an Opus Peace Ambassador and certified Soul Injury presenter. She is an appointed member of the Diversity Advisory Council of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, is actively involved in the National Association of Social Workers – Nebraska Chapter and teaches a hospice class at the University Nebraska Omaha. Kelly has a BSW in Social Work from the University of Nebraska Omaha and a Masters in Practical Theology from Loyola University-New Orleans.

Kelly has been married to her high school sweetheart, Tim, for over 25 years and currently preparing for the empty nest with their youngest son, Daniel, going out of state for college in fall of 2022. 

Katie Ransdell, MS, CCLS

Katie has been working in the field of grief and bereavement since 2017. She began working at Endless Journey Hospice as a Certified Child Life Specialist providing support for child family members of adult clients in 2020. She has since expanded her role and is the Bereavement Coordinator for Endless Journey’s grief support programing. Her passion is to support loved ones as they move through their grief journey and to grow the Omaha community’s understanding of grief and mourning.

Katie is a member of the Association of Child Life Professionals and the National Alliance for Children’s Grief. She has been recognized by the Nebraska Hospital Association with the Caring Kind Award in 2020 and by Children’s Hospital and Medical Center with the Helping Hands Award in 2019. Katie has her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Carroll University and her Master of Science in HHP Child Life from The University of Iowa.

Outside of work Katie enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
