Event starts {{ data.showing_start_time }}, "all 4 nothing tour" with special guest hayley kiyoko & aidan bissett.

Multi-Platinum and chart-topping singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Lauv releases his brand-new single and video “All 4 Nothing (I’m So In Love)”, available everywhere now via Virgin Music Label and Artist Services. The single serves as the title track of Lauv’s highly anticipated second full-length album, All 4 Nothing, set to be released in August. Lauv also announces a North American headline tour which includes a performance at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre on the campus of Oakland University on Saturday, August 13 at 8 p.m.

On the inspiration behind the new single, Lauv shares “All 4 Nothing (I'm So In Love)” is a song about loving someone so much at a time in your life when you’re still in the process of learning how to love yourself and being scared how your own personal insecurities could ruin a love that is and could be so genuine and transformative. In essence, it’s a song about surrendering to love and life.”

Directed by Hannah Lux Davis (Ariana Grande, Doja Cat), the stunning video encapsulates the giddy and weightless feeling of first falling in love. The video will be premiering on Nick Music and MTV’s Fresh Out Live in the US.

On the video shoot, Lauv continues “shooting the video with Hannah Lux Davis was an amazing, eye opening experience which has not only pushed the boundaries of how I see myself as an artist but also as a clear example of the true artist that Hannah herself is and her ability to bring those things out in the artists she works with. It surpassed every dream I could've had for shooting a video for this song."

On his upcoming album, All 4 Nothing, Lauv opened up like never before to expand his signature sound. He focused on the storytelling and crafted an immersive and irresistible body of work steeped in moments of nostalgia, conflict, and ultimately, self-empowerment.

Lauv’s North American headline tour will kick off August 11, with stops in New York City at Hammerstein Ballroom, Nashville at Ryman Auditorium, and Los Angeles at The Greek Theatre. Presale starts on Monday, April 11 at 12 p.m. local and general onsale begins Thursday, April 14 at 10 a.m. local.  For more info and to sign up for presale access visit www.lauvsongs.com/tour .

23-year-old independent singer, songwriter, and producer Lauv resembles an auteur in his assemblage of electronic tones, airy beats, jazz-inspired guitars, and soulful vocalizations. After logging countless hours in his bedroom writing and producing, Lauv entered the prestigious Music Technology Program at NYU in 2012. Under the auspices that he’d “make music for other artists,” he passionately maintained a prolific output until penning “The Other” during 2014. “The Other” quietly took the internet by storm. Premiered on a friend’s blog as his first release under the name Lauv, the song virally lit up HypeMachine and eventually generated 100 million-plus Spotify streams.

Relocating to Los Angeles and signing a publishing deal with Prescription Songs, he co-wrote the gold-certified Top 5 smash “No Promises” by Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato as well as the Pitchfork-endorsed “Boys” for Charli XCX, among others. In the meantime, “I Like Me Better” became his second bona fide smash. It vaulted past the 200 million mark on Spotify, soaring to the Top 30 of the Global Chart and Top 5 on iTunes internationally. A mélange of plucky synth chords and a 90s-inspired drum break, the electrifying production snaps into a soulfully staccato refrain. “I Like Me better” comprises just one phase of Lauv’s debut playlist, I met you when I was 18. Collating all of his music and the 2017 single “Easy Love,” the project brings everything full circle as he confidently steps into new territory.

Live reviews

My friends and I have been obsessed with Lauv's stuff since January of this year with his EP and dang, he definitely impressed us live. I love his stage presence; I mean he even danced in the audience with us with one of his unreleased tracks!! You can tell he is really jamming and giving it his all, and you can hear it in his voice. Singing "Breathe" gave people goosebumps and as he dropped to his knees you could just feel the passion. He was also very kind and friendly when we chatted with him after and we got free stickers that will go directly on all of our hydroflasks hahahah excited for the next singles to come out and of course his debut album coming in 2017. Thanks for rocking our socks off!

Watched Lauv perform in Tokyo and was impressed by how high his vocal cords could go!

Not only does Lauv sing well, he also treats his audience well. Some of the fans at the back started pushing to the front, causing the fans at the front to be uncomfortable. Lauv noticed that and asked the fans to take a step back so that everyone's comfortable.

Noticing that the fans at the back were uable to enjoy the live performance of Lauv as the fans at the front, Lauv discreetly went to the back of the crowd and sang an entire song from that spot.

A genuinely nice person with amazing talent!

oh god this was such a wonderful little show. jeremy zucker opened it and he was adorable and so friendly and his voice was god damn amazing. lauv's entry was magical and the way he went about the songs was amazing. i really adored this show and i'm so glad i got to be part of it since it was both of their first shows in london. lauv is so worth it, the music is brilliant and his voice was even better live. massive thanks to him, his team and zucker for such a lively show!!

The show was spectacular! I loved every single minute of it. Lauv mentioned in the concert it was his first actual performance in an arena of that scale. It was flattering to know that I was able to witness his first big concert in Manila. His setlist was undeniably awesome and he did not leave a single minute boring. The concert was all in all a fantastic night and we all wanted more!

Lauv sounded so good live and so did his opener Charlotte Lawerence. His interactions with the crowd were good and you could tell that he was up there enjoying every minute of it. There were some chill moment and some hype one all around I would recommend to anyone to see him live. I’m already excited for his next tour!

Lauv Announces ‘How I’m Feeling’ World Tour

By Claire Shaffer

Claire Shaffer

Pop singer-songwriter Lauv will embark on a tour across the U.S., U.K., Europe, and Australia this fall, in the wake of a delayed debut album and personal health crisis. The “~how i’m feeling~” tour kicks off October 5th in Washington, D.C., and continue for 19 shows before wrapping up on November 11th in New Zealand.

In a lengthy personal statement on Instagram, Lauv explained that the tour arose over a difficult year in which he questioned his career path. He described feeling guilty and anxious over struggling to complete his debut album, and seeking professional help for his mental health issues.

“Over the past couple months, the feeling of ‘oh fuck maybe I’m not gonna be able to make this album’ switched to ‘holy shit I’m more excited than ever about this music & the message & the possibilities,'” he wrote. “And along the way, I made a decision … I decided rather than waiting to release a bunch of songs that may or may not still feel relevant to my life by the time they come out, I wanted to tell the story as it happened.”

Lauv went on to explain that the album,  ~how i’m feeling~ , will be released track-by-track as it’s being recorded, simultaneously with the tour. He also thanked his fans and urged them to seek help for whatever mental health struggles they themselves may be experiencing.

“The biggest thing I learned from the past year was to not be afraid to face yourself head on,” he wrote. “To not be afraid of your mind. To work with yourself and not against. To open the conversation more. To not be ashamed or afraid of help.”

US pop singer-songwriter Lauv: ‘I told myself I didn’t deserve to make it as an artist’

For Lauv, AKA US songwriter Ari Leff, success brought with it anxiety, loneliness and alcohol dependence. It took accepting himself, and exploring his sexuality, for him to rediscover the joy of creating music

A n hour before we meet for lunch, I watch the LA-based pop star Lauv make his return to the Radio 1 Live Lounge. On the eighth floor of BBC Broadcasting House, he performs a stripped-back, two-track set: the first song, one of his own, Love U Like That, released in August, is followed by a heart-wrenching cover of Miley Cyrus’s coming-of-age ballad Used to Be Young . “The more I sing it,” Lauv says of his cover choice on air, “the harder it hits me lyrically about all I’m going through, the transitions in my life.” Later, over a chicken burger and Coke Zero, he is keen to expand on those comments.

It has been two and a half years since his last Live Lounge set. That was March 2020, just days before the pandemic forced global lockdowns. “Those times were crazy,” he says, “I was just a spring chicken trying to figure everything out. Looking back, I was lost. So much has changed since then.” Now 29, he certainly looks different: short, bleached hair switched for his natural brown curls; pastel sweater replaced by a blazer and piercings. Professionally speaking, 2020 was a good year for Lauv, who was still riding high from the success of I’m So Tired … , a globally charting single jointly released with Troye Sivan . Hype surrounded his second album. “There was a lot of great stuff happening, but I had no idea who I was or what I was doing.”

So what has changed? “Well, the big thing for me is … ” he takes a deep breath. “I hate to make it sound so formal. I just realised that I’m not fully straight, and I started to explore that in my life.” Almost immediately, his whole upper body relaxes. “I still don’t know how I classify myself. I’m trying not to rush that. But I realised that’s been a huge point of suffering for me for a long time.”

Over the summer, he had shared snippets on social media. “I’m gay but I’m not gay but I’m gay but I’m not gay,” he wrote on TikTok, over an image of his face. “When ur dating a girl but ur also a lil bit into men,” read another. Today, though, he seems keen to say more. “I’ve finally realised I can let the weight out a little bit and grow into my true self,” he says. “And that feels life-affirming.”

But, first, how Lauv – real name Ari Leff – ended up here. In his early years, he lived in Oakland, California. His mum worked in HIVand Aids vaccine research, which saw the family move first to Atlanta, then to the outskirts of Philadelphia. “My obsession with music grew through high school,” he says. “I was writing songs, learning how to produce, and played in a few bands, too. One was metal, another hardcore. Then I started a project called Somersault Sunday. Not the greatest choice, in retrospect, for someone with a lisp.”

Aged 18, he enrolled at NYU to study music technology, and interned at various studios including Jungle City, where the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar have recorded. He dabbled as a DJ, while trying his best to get a foot in the industry door. “I was writing songs, and trying to pitch them to other artists. I’d cold-email whoever I could to try to get attention.” Then in 2015, he uploaded one, The Other, on to SoundCloud, under the moniker Lauv.

“I wasn’t sure what to call myself,” he says of the choice, “so picked something from my mom’s Latvian side of the family.” Lauv is Latvian for lion, which is what Ari means in Hebrew. He was studying abroad in Prague when he self-released The Other. Playlisting helped the single blow up, finding its way on to Spotify’s influential Today’s Top Hits. “Major record labels started to reach out,” he says, “literally overnight. I didn’t sign.” The deals were just not enticing.

Taking flight … Lauv.

After graduation, he relocated to LA. At first, he focused on writing and producing songs for other artists, Charli XCX’s banger Boys among them. Lauv took a backseat. “I’ve had incredibly low self-confidence from a young age,” he says, “always down on myself. “So I told myself I didn’t deserve to make it as a solo artist. In 2017, Lauv released the uptempo electropop breakthrough I Like Me Better . The following year, he dropped his first album, I Met You When I Was 18 . But, still riddled with self-doubt, how did he cope with that exposure and pressure? “It’s an understatement to say I was just holding on by a thread. Anxious all the time,” he replies. He says he was so unsure of himself, the pressure of being a public persona was paralysing. “I would spend a whole day poring over a single social media post, to the point that I’d be in tears.”

Things stated to spiral. “I lost touch with close friends. I became insular, obsessed with Lauv. My attorney used to have to remind me I was still actually Ari.” On reflection, he reckons the music took a hit. Lauv’s second album, How I’m Feeling (2020), proved successful, peaking at No 9 in the UK. But in 2022, he dropped his third – All 4 Nothing – which failed to make a mark, either critically or commercially. “I think I lost my Lauv-y-ness,” he says. “The first had imagination and hope. And I do feel there’s some of that in my second. I don’t want to disrespect my own work, but it became less pure, in all honesty. By All 4 Nothing, I was so deep in my own problems and trying to be cool, that I lost touch with who I was.”

Lockdowns and the cancelling of live dates during Covid only compounded the isolation. “I fully feel like I lost myself,” he says, . I was drinking more than I should have been.” How bad did it get? “I’m not sure most people would have known I had a drinking problem,” he replies. “Some did, at points. Most didn’t, which made it easier to continue. Only now can I see just how many fucking times I would drink just because I had a twinge of anxiety, at any point in the day. I wasn’t putting down whole bottles or whatever. It was more the times I was drinking, and using other substances, and the reasons behind it: always to escape myself.”

The past few months, Leff is quick to add, he has been feeling much better. In part, he thinks, that’s down to going sober in July. “The type of fun I love now is more childish,” he says. “And, also, while I’m not ready yet to classify where I sit on the spectrum, I know I have been battling with my sexuality.” Since starting to explore this part of himself, a weight has been lifted. “I was facing non-stop clues, paranoias, thoughts, time after time, that led to a voice in my head telling me on repeat, non-stop: Ari, you’re gay. Ari, you’re gay. Ari, you’re gay. It was affecting my music, my happiness, my anxiety, my sense of self. It was all tied together.

“I finally got to a point … ” He’s smiling now. “I had a single playful kiss with a guy friend of mine, and was like: oh, that felt really fun. I wanted to explore it. From that moment forward, I’ve not looked at it as something to be ashamed of, even if I don’t know where it takes me yet.”

Ever since then, his world has felt lighter. “I feel creatively inspired again, emotional, hopeful, open. I don’t feel doomed, or stuck in my head all the time.” He wrote and recorded the lead track, Steal the Show, on Disney’s 2023 film Elemental . There’s a new album on the way in early 2024. For the first time in a long while, he says he’s excited about finishing and releasing it. On stage and in the studio, I ask, does he now feel different? He starts laughing. “Yeah. I just feel good, you know? Like I have my muse again. I have excitement. Ideas that are real to me still, but aren’t dark and depressing. The new album, like my life, is about exploring and experiencing; me growing into my own happiness.”

Two Suns Make Reported Team USA Olympic Roster

Devin Booker and Kevin Durant will be booking their tickets to Paris.

  • Author: Donnie Druin

In this story:

PHOENIX -- As expected, two Phoenix Suns stars are reportedly included in Team USA's 2024 Olympic basketball roster.

From NBA insider Shams Charania:

"Sources: Team USA is finalizing 11 of its 12-man Olympic roster: LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo and Tyrese Haliburton."

Sources with @joevardon : Team USA is finalizing 11 of its 12-man Olympic roster: LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo and Tyrese Haliburton. — Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) April 15, 2024

Team USA is reportedly keeping one roster spot for the time being.

This news comes just months after both stars were listed in Team USA's official pool of 41 players back in January.

Former Suns who made the pool but didn't quite make the cut (at least yet, barring the final roster spot) include Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson and Chris Paul.

Both Durant and Booker committed to playing for the red, white and blue during Media Day ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Suns guard Bradley Beal previously expressed interested but was not chosen.

USA has brought home gold the last seven-of-eight Olympics in men's basketball. They have medaled in all 19 Olympic Games dating back to 1936.

Booker/Durant led the Suns to a 49-33 record this regular season and will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of postseason action, which begins April 20.

Scottie scheffler's new taylormade spider tour x putter. what makes it special, share this article.

lauv tour usa

Scottie Scheffler won over $21 million in prize money last season and was one of the PGA Tour’s worst putters. His driving and iron play were that good. He played in 23 events and made the cut in all of them, earning top-10 finishes in 17 to go along with two wins and two runner-up finishes. He did all that while finishing No. 162 in Strokes Gained: Putting.

Scheffler tinkered with different putters in the second half of 2023, benching his Scotty Cameron blade-style putter for a prototype TaylorMade Spider with a milled face at the end of the PGA Tour season. That didn’t work, so Scheffler played a few events with a blade made by the Olson Putter Company at the end of 2023 and in early 2024, but that didn’t work out either.

Then, in the days leading up to the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March, Scheffler switched back into a TaylorMade Spider and won, leading the field that week in Strokes Gained: Putting. The following week, he won again at the 2024 Players Championship, finishing first in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee (naturally) and 37th in Strokes Gained: Putting.

Rory McIlroy’s prophecy appeared to be coming true because, speaking with Amanda Balionis at the Genesis Invitational in February as Scheffler struggled on the greens, McIlroy had said, “I’d love to see Scottie try a mallet, but selfishly for me, Scottie does everything else so well that he’s given the rest of us a chance.”

A few days before the Masters, Golfweek talked with Andrew Oldknow, TaylorMade’s director of product creation for putters, to learn what makes Scottie Scheffler’s new Spider Tour putter unique, how it is similar to Spider Tour X putters sold at retail and more.

Scottie Scheffler

TaylorMade created two prototype Spider mallet putters with milled faces for Scheffler to try at the 2023 Tour Championship. (David Dusek/Golfweek)

Golfweek: Let’s go through a progression. Towards the end of last season, Scottie Scheffler started using a TaylorMade Spider putter with a milled face. Was the goal to create a mallet that would feel like the milled blade putters that he had before but that would provide the forgiveness or stability?

Andrew Oldknow: The goal, honestly, was to give him better alignment. While centering the ball with the alignment system, we were actually trying to get that thing to perform just like a blade.

We put a massive amount of tungsten in the front of that putter. We used all aluminum in the back. We gave it a profile of the Spider X shape, but under the backside, it really was all cut out. We were hollowing the whole thing out to get as much weight forward as possible so that the putter actually closed like a blade.

At the time, he loved the performance of his blade, he just felt like he didn’t have enough alignment out of it. True Path worked really well for him in terms of centering the ball. One of his biggest issues is he doesn’t always hit the ball center face.

Scottie Scheffler

Scheffler’s Spider Tour X putter is large enough to contain the True Path alignment system. (David Dusek/Golfweek)

GK: Got it. A blade simply doesn’t have the size to be able to accommodate a True Path-style alignment system.

AO: Correct.

GW: After playing a few events with an Olson blade, Scottie and his team asked TaylorMade for many different Spider putters with different hosel configurations, neck styles, and even different inserts. Obviously, he was very open then to the alignment system you talked about, and he wound up settling on a Spider Tour X with an L-neck hosel. That configuration is not available at retail. How much does that hosel configuration play into the way his putter swings for him?

AO: Yeah, great question. So, over the last few years, even Rory McIlroy has gone into a slant-neck version of the Spider Tour. They’re very similar, but the toe hang is going to be slightly different.

Scottie Scheffler

Scheffler’s Spider Tour X has an L-neck hosel designed to create some toe hang. (David Dusek/Golfweek)

We know that toe hang is slightly more toe down with the L-neck, so that helps [Scottie] rotate and feel more blade-like performance. Again, we’re trying to get him the good feel that he wants. He’s been in the blade for the majority of his life, and winning majors and so forth in a blade product.

So, we want to make sure that when he’s releasing the putter, that it has the right feel. A slightly more toe-down putter is going to have more of a familiar feel, and so that’s been the most important thing for him.

And yes, he asked for everything under the sun and our team has done everything we can to provide him with that.

GW: I noticed on the retail putters there is an X7 in the sole in the toe area, but on Scottie’s but an X1.

GW: Does that mean anything?

AO: Yeah, hosel, that’s the type of hassle on there. We have code names for our hosels.

GW: So, the motivation for Scottie to change was really rooted in wanting to be able to align the putter more easily, and then you designed a Spider that would swing like his blade. But now, instead of hitting off a milled metal face, he’s using a grooved Pure Roll face. Is it the same one that is in retail putters?

AO: He was in the camp of wanting more metal face inserts versus the Pure Roll Surlyn insert. We provided him with milled prototypes and metal versions with different thicknesses to get different feels. And then, low and behold, Joe Ryon, who runs our putter lab, was like, “Let’s just throw one in with the actual, stock, Surlyn insert even though they’re not asking for it.” We wanted to give it to him.

Scottie Scheffler

A blend of Surlyn and aluminum powder create the feel Scheffler likes while the Pure Roll grooves encourage the ball to start rolling quicker. (David Dusek/Golfweek)

The Pure Roll insert has a little bit of aluminum powder in it, so it’s 80 percent Surlyn. We’ve player-tested pure Surlyn inserts (essentially ionomer resin) in the past, but they test too soft.

GK: So that’s the same insert that is found in the retail Spider Tour putters ?

AO: Yes. The addition of the Aluminum flake slightly firms the compound to create a perfect balance of feel, sound and roll performance. And, as you can see, the score lines and grooves are angled down slightly. They will grab the ball better and get it rolling. In everything we’ve ever tested on our Quintic Ball Roll system here in The Kingdom, you will see that if you put somebody in this 80/20 Pure Roll insert, they will instantly get better numbers.

GK: What is the loft on Scottie’s putter?

AO: Our traditional Spider Tour putters have 3.5 degrees of loft, but Scottie’s has 3.1 degrees. You need some loft in there because the ball sits in a depression created by its weight. You have to get it out of the depression or else you end up just jamming it into the ground, but the grooves grab the back of the ball and stop it from back spinning.
