The scenic Pali Lookout is a must-visit attraction in Oahu, Hawaii. Our guided tour takes visitors on a scenic drive through the winding mountain roads, offering breathtaking views of lush greenery and panoramic landscapes. Visitors are informed about the history and significance of the Nu’uanu Pali Lookout, including the famous battle that took place on the site between the forces of King Kamehameha and the warriors of Maui. Upon reaching the lookout, visitors can witness the magnificent views of the Windward Coast from the Pali Lookout, which is 1200 feet above sea level. Byodo-In Temple​

The tour then takes guests to Byodo-In Temple, a stunning temple located in the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Oahu. Byodo-In Temple  - As we drive along the Ko’olau mountain range we stop to discover a hidden gem tucked away from the main road. Byodo-In Temple was featured by National Geographic in “20 of the world’s most beautiful Buddhist temples,” noting its architectural details and awe inspiring surroundings.

Tropical Farms - Famously known as “The Little Country Store On Your Way to the North Shore” Steve and Chrissy Paty started this as a roadside operation in 1987 and now, three decades later it’s a great place to try different local snacks and learn how to crack open some macadamia nuts as the chickens stand by watching hungrily hoping you drop a nut or two.

North Shore Lunch Stop  - Your driver will update you on the daily menu and determine a great place for everyone to enjoy a delicious lunch before driving alongside the world famous North Shore Oahu coastline on our way to the next adventure.

What to expext

After being picked up from your Waikiki hotel, set off on the Circle Island Drive. Keep your camera to hand as you wind up into the Koʻolau Mountains, stopping to gaze out over the Hawaiian Islands from the Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout and visit Byodo-In Temple.

Continue to the North Shore, where you have the chance to explore seafront towns such as Banzai Pipeline and Sunset Beach, enjoy sweeping views of Waimea Bay, and watch the surfers taking to the waves. Visit the beautiful Waimea Falls, then make a final stop at the Dole Plantation, where you can sample some tasty frozen pineapple DoleWhip® (own expense).

Will I see a waterfall?

The flow of the waterfall depends on rainfall. So the size or if there a waterfall at all depends on if it rained recently and/or how much it has rained recently. There is no guarantee the waterfall will be visible at Waimea Valley (especially during summer)

Is there a lot of walking on this tour?

This circle island tour as more walking than most circle island tours due to the visit to both the Byodin-Temple and Waimea Valley.

The trail to Waimea Falls is about 3/4 of a mile and takes approximately 30 minutes. It is paved the entire way, with gentle hills. There are several gravel paths off the main corridor, for more adventurous walkers to explore all our botanical garden collections. According to Waimea Valley Website

he last stop on the tour is the Dole Plantation, a must-visit if you're a fan of pineapples. It's a fun and educational place for people of all ages. Besides enjoying the beautiful scenery, you can explore the history of Dole and the pineapple industry through hands-on exhibits and displays.

There are cool attractions like the Pineapple Garden Maze, known as the world’s biggest maze, the Pineapple Express train ride for a scenic tour, and the Plantation Grille where you can try various pineapple-flavored dishes. I broke my ankle while on vacation and rented a mobility scooter the rest of the trip. This company is ADA compliant on their Grand Circle Island Tour of Oahu. The driver was great! He told us about the history of where we were going and kept us entertained the entire trip. He also never acted annoyed that he had to use the bus lift to lift me down at each stop which was nice. I do not believe the normal tour is on a huge bus unless you need the ADA complaint. I've been to Oahu 4 times in the past and never really did a Circle Island Tour. This was one of my favorite days I had (despite it raining the entire trip). I enjoyed all the stops!

Recently did two different tours with this company during my vacation with my husband in Oahu. The Grand Circle Island Tour with Cousin Koko was the best. Not only was he professional and fun-spirited, he was patient and very informative. Learned so much about the different places we visited on the tour. Treated everyone on the motorcoach like ohana! The Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona Memorial Tour with Cousin Wes was great as well. Our tour through downtown Honolulu was great; definitely appreciated the history lesson! It’s imperative that while on vacation, one should learn about the history and culture about the place you’re visiting! Thank you Roberts Hawaii for making our tours memorable!
