Slide mats are coloured in black, each with an opening for the feet and a strap to hold on to. Follows the vertical drop (27-degree) some 92 ft / 28 m down to the Boardwalk. The large sundeck is flanked by two "bridge wings" (jetting off the ship's both sides/bow starboard and portside). Both bridge wings are open-air and with great seaviews but are also often very windy.

There are two "secret balconies" positioned close to the aft elevators on Deck 9 . Both balconies are small (each is furnished with a table and two chairs), overlook Central Park and are some of the best points to view the entire neighborhood.

Aft on Deck 6/Boardwalk  there is a stern-facing viewing area accessed via a path that circles around the AquaTheater. This "secret area" offers great views of the ship’s wake (trace on the water surface), also provides great views of the entire neighborhood and has a shuffleboard.

Oasis Of The Seas Wiki

Oasis OTS is Royal Caribbean's first Oasis-Class liner, with sisterships Allure , Harmony , Symphony and Wonder . Oasis-class currently represents the world's biggest passenger ship design, however, Oasis OTS happened to be the smallest in this series - although with just 50 mm (~2 inches) shorter than Allure. There was a competition for proposing the best name for the hulls of both vessels. The sister hulls were named at a dual ceremony in May 2008.

The vessel was completed on October 28, 2009, by STX Europe (Finland) - a division of the South Korean multinational STX (shipbuilding corporation). At its arrival in the USA, right before it docked at homeport Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) , the vessel had to pass under the Danish bridge Great Belt Fixed Link. This was challenging as the bridge is 65 m (213 ft) higher than sea level while ship's highest point is normally 72 m (236 ft) above sea level. But it made it - due to its telescoping funnels, with only 0,6 m 2 ft) to spare when passing under the bridge!

The cruise liner has an impressive number of 7 godmothers. Each of the "good ladies" symbolized one of the ship's 7 different neighbourhoods. The naming ceremony took place at Port Everglade, on December 5, 2009.

On November 4, 2016, world's 3 largest cruise ships - Harmony, Allure and Oasis - convened off Florida's coast. The unique event was live streamed officially by RCI, starting at approx 5 pm EST. The meeting at open sea coincided with the Harmony's arrival at Port Everglades (her US homeport), finishing a 13-night Transatlantic repositioning cruise from Barcelona to Florida (Oct 23 - Nov 5). The following aerial photo shows an Oasis-class vessel (as looked from above).

What’s Included on Oasis of the Seas (Entertainment, Activities, Food & Drink)

Sharing is caring!

Are you planning an Oasis of the Seas and wondering what’s included? Don’t worry I’ve got you covered.

I recently went on a cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, and I was impressed with how many free things there are to do, see and eat onboard this amazing cruise ship!

While you can certainly buy beverage packages, specialty dining, wifi and other extras, it’s important to know what’s included on the Oasis of the Seas. It will help you to plan and save money where you can.

With that being said, here’s everything you need to know about what’s included on Oasis of the Seas.

Entertainment that’s Included on Oasis of the Seas

When it comes to entertainment on a cruise ship, nobody does it better than Royal Caribbean! Onboard the Oasis of the Seas, there is non-stop entertainment and fun things to do for every age.

You can expect big broadway style shows, guest entertainers and much more.

Important to note: Although many cruise ship activities are included, some shows must be reserved in advance once you board the Oasis of the Seas. This can be done very easily by using the Royal Caribbean App.

Here are the shows and entertainment that are free on the Oasis of the Seas:

Frozen in Time Ice Skating Show

oasis of the seas cruise compass may 2022

Frozen in Time is an impressive ice skating show that is performed by ice skaters from all around the world. This show can be found in Studio B on Oasis class ships and is a ton of fun for passengers of all ages.

As a Canadian who grew up ice skating, this show really blew me away! The performers are extremely talented and the show was very exciting.

CATS (Broadway Show)

One of the best things about Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class ships are the Broadway shows. At this time Cats is the show that is playing.

Since this show is a highlight, make sure to plan your dinners around it.

Oasis of the Seas Aquatheater

The Aqua Theater is a spectacular venue for Aqua 80, a very well reviewed show! Expect acrobatics and diving set to fun eighties music!

Live Bands, Performers and Comedians

In the evening, you’ll find many entertainers performing around the cruise ship. The acts include live bands, singers, piano players, magicians and comedians.

These shows on Oasis of the Seas are really entertaining and the performers are extremely talented. I really enjoyed the comedians onboard and it was very cool how they turned Blaze night club into a comedy club.

Check out Music Hall for rock and tribute bands or Boleros for a latin band.

Audience Participation Game Shows

Oasis of the seas Love & Marriage show

Among the shows that are included on Oasis of the Seas are audience participation or game shows. A can’t miss show is Love & Marriage, where 3 brave couples compete for prizes while entertaining the rest of us with hilarious stories and antics.

Other fun game shows include Friendly Feud, which is held in the Karaoke Bar. Whether you just like to watch or if you like to participate, the game shows are hilarious and loads of fun.

Pro Tip: Check out past Cruise Compasses from Oasis of the Seas , to have a good idea what activities and shows are planned.

If you prefer to be in a more quiet and laid back environment, then you have to check out the solarium adult pool. This area has two hot tubs and a pool with some unique water fountains.

The solarium area is a great place to take an afternoon nap and relax underneath the sun in a calm environment.

Splashaway Bay and Baby Splash

Splashaway Bay is the kids waterpark onboard the Oasis of the Seas. This area is composed of two separate water parks, Baby Splash which is for toddlers and Splashaway Bay which is for bigger kids.

Baby Splash is a small waterpark with some fountains, a water slide and some shallow water to sit in. This area is great for younger kids who are still very young and very small.

Splashaway Bay is for bigger kids and this area is awesome. This area has multiple slides and a large area for kids to play in.

This area is perfect for younger children, they will have a blast!

Oasis of the Seas Zipline Ethan Schattauer

If you’re not afraid of heights then you have to check out the Zip Line onboard the Oasis of the Seas. The zip line is 82 feet long and it actually isn’t as scary as it looks!

As someone who loves zip lines, being able to zip line onboard the Oasis was a really cool experience and something that is worth trying.

3 Water Slides

Oasis of the seas Waterslides

The Oasis of the Seas has 3 big water slides that are super fun, called the perfect storm. The water slides was a great way to cool off on a hot day and a fun activity to do while spending the day by the pool.

The Perfect Storm water slides include two duelling water slides and one champagne style waterslide (or toilet bowl waterslide). They are lots of fun for younger kids, teenagers and adults who are young at heart.

The Ultimate Abyss

The Ultimate Abyss on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, is the tallest slide at sea . This 10 story dry located at the aft of the ship is more than 150 feet above sea level!

This Ultimate Abyss goes from the 16th deck all the way down to the Boardwalk on Oasis of the Seas, right in front of the Aquatheater.

Not only is the Ultimate Abyss very fun, but it’s faster than taking the elevator! If you’ve never been on an Oasis class ship then you have to try the Ultimate Abyss.

Flow Rider Surf Simulator

Oasis of the Seas Flowrider

On the Oasis, there are two Flow Rider Surf Simulators located at the back of the ship near the sports court. The crew onboard the Oasis are super helpful and will teach you how to ride the surf simulator.

If you’d like to watch and be entertained by those attempting to surf, sit down on the bleachers at the Flow Rider or at the bar right in front of the Ultimate Abyss.

Ice Skating

Oasis of the seas Ice Skating Activity

Can you ice skate on a cruise ship? You sure can on this one!

Oasis of the Seas has an ice skating rink, and ice skating is free for cruise passengers. Sign up for the ice skating sessions in Studio B, which includes free ice skates and helmets.

If you want to get out of the sun or are looking for something to do on a rainy day on a cruise , this is cool activity that is included onboard the Oasis of the Seas.

As a Canadian, I loved having this onboard and it was really fun to ice skate on a cruise ship.

Rock-Climbing Wall

The Oasis of the Seas has two 43-foot rock climbing walls. These rock walls are located at the aft of the ship near the Boardwalk.

Rock climbing is great free activity that is included onboard the Oasis of the Seas.

If you’re for a laid back classic cruise ship activity, then you are going to love the miniature golf course on Oasis of the Seas.

The mini golf course located behind Port Side Grill and El Loco Fresh, and near the sports court.

The sports court is located on the sports deck right around he Zip Lining, Mini Golf, Flow Rider and Ultimate Abyss. The sports court is a big basketball court which different activities are played throughout the day.

At the sports court there will be activities like basketball, pickleball, soccer and dodgeball. If you like to stay active on a cruise, the variety of sports activities on Oasis are some of the best at sea.

Laser Tag is another cool and free activity that is hosted in Studio B. The Laser Tag is only available a few times throughout the cruise so if you like laser tag, be sure to go when it’s offered.

Unfortunately, we never had the chance to try laser tag on our last cruise, however I hear great things. This will have to wait until we get back on board next time!

Oasis of the seas Boardwalk carrousel

The Carrousel can be found on the Boardwalk and it is a great activity for younger children. It’s a free and really cool attraction to have onboard a cruise ship.

Spotlight Karaoke

If you’re a fan of karaoke, then you are going to love the Spotlight Karaoke Bar. In the evening, Spotlight Karaoke is packed with guests singing, drinking and having a good time.

This is a great spot to just hang out and have a drink in the evening.

If you’re a fan of trivia you’ll find quite a few trivia games played onboard Oasis of the Seas. Finish that Lyric was a fun one played in Spotlight Karaoke in the Royal Promenade. Name that tune and other fun trivia games are hosted in different lounges and bars.

Make sure to check your Royal Caribbean daily planner on the app or on the cruise compass .

During sea days , you can expect classic poolside activities on the lido deck of the main pools. Pool games such as belly flop competitions, water volleyball and Mr. Sexy Legs will be taking place.

These games are super entertaining to participate in or watch from your deck chair.

Beyond the daily activities listed on your cruise planner, here are a couple of things you need to know about what is free for kids.

Adventure Ocean

Adventure Ocean, Royal Caribbean’s kid’s club is free for kids ages 3 to 17. There are a a few different kids clubs that cater towards the various age groups onboard the Oasis of the Seas.

As someone who grew up cruising, I absolutely loved Adventure Ocean when I was younger. The kids club on the Oasis is super fun and the staff are very friendly.

Here’s how Adventure Ocean is set up:

  • Aquanauts (3-5)
  • Explorers (6-8)
  • Voyagers (9-11)
  • Teens (12-14)

Food & Dining that’s Included on Oasis of the Seas

The Oasis of the Seas has so many different places to snack and dine. Seriously, after being on this cruise ship for a week, I still didn’t get to try every restaurant onboard!

The food is very tasty and there is something to eat for everyone and every taste.

Here are the included restaurants on the Oasis of the Seas:

Main Dining Room

Lobster Oasis of the Seas

Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas main dining room is an impressive 3 stories. The main dining room is included in the price of your cruise.

The main dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, although hours may be reduced on port days.

The menus in the main dining room vary each night, however there are usually nice meat, chicken, pasta, vegetarian and seafood or fish options. You also have classic menu options which are available every night.

Pro tip: Check out Royal Caribbean cruise line’s dress codes to plan what to wear on your cruise vacation.

Windjammer Buffet

The Windjammer Cafe is buffet open on Oasis of the Seas for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a lot of self serve food options.

Make sure to check the opening and closing hours, as the hours may be more limited than what you’ve experienced on other cruise ships. Likely this is due to the many, many restaurant options on this cruise ship.

Oasis of the seas Park cafe

Park Cafe is a great free place to eat on Oasis of the Seas. Located in Central Park, Park Cafe is open in the morning for breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Park Cafe. has a calm and relaxing vibe, which made it our go-to breakfast spot.

At Park Cafe you can get a bagel, egg sandwich, yogourt parfait, fresh fruit, coffee and different pastries. If you like a light breakfast, this is the perfect spot for you.

A great bonus to going to Park Cafe is that you get to eat in Central Park. Central Park is one of the most amazing spots on the Oasis of the Seas, and a beautiful spot to sit down for a casual meal.

Sorrento’s Pizza

Oasis of the Seas Sorrentos in Promenade

Located in the Royal Promenade, Sorrento’s Pizza is the spot to go if you’re a pizza lover like me.

At Sorrento’s, you will find four different flavors of pizza, plus the option to custom make your own pizza at no extra charge! There is even a nice antipasto plate you can get for some nibbles.

The crew is friendly and the service is really quick so it’s a great place to go for an afternoon or late night snack.

El Loco Fresh

oasis of the seas cruise compass may 2022

El Loco Fresh was my personal favorite spot to eat on the cruise. If you like casual mexican food, than you are going to love El Loco Fresh!

In fact, we joked that we were shocked this was a free food option on Oasis of the Seas – but don’t tell Royal ;-)!

At El Loco Fresh you will find burrito’s, quesadillas, nachos and a make your own taco station. The best part was fresh pico de gallo and guacamole and cilantro.

The food there is amazing and it is located at the aft of the ship right by the sports deck.

Cafe Promenade

The Cafe Promenade is open 24 hours a day. This free casual cafe located conveniently on the Royal promenade has breakfast, lunch and snack options.

If you love cruise ship cookies, make sure to stop in daily for an afternoon snack. There is also free coffee and tea included at a self serve station.

The Dog House is located on The Boardwalk and it is a great spot to get a snack. They have various different types of hot dogs and you can choose your toppings.

Johnny Rockets

If you love a diner breakfast, check out Johnny Rockets, where you can get a free breakfast throughout the cruise. There is an additional charge for lunch, dinner and Johny Rockets milkshakes.

Note: On our recent cruise Johnny Rockets was closed for breakfast, however this seems to not be typical. Please leave a comment if you’ve cruised on this ship recently and it was open.

Soft Ice Cream

If you’re looking for some ice cream, soft ice cream cones can be found on the pool deck. Soft Ice cream is conveniently next to the pool are so it’s easy to get to on a hot day.

Continental Breakfast Room Service

Royal Caribbean Continental room service breakfast menu

Continental breakfast room service is free on Royal Caribbean. It’s a great idea to order a breakfast room service to eat on your cabin balcony , especially on early mornings when you have an excursion.

There is an additional charge for American breakfast, so be careful when you place your order.

While you may want to purchase a beverage package if you plan on having alcoholic drinks, mocktails, soda or specialty coffee, there are many drinks included on a Royal Caribbean cruise.

These Travelers Have a Secret: They Love Cheap Cruises on Old Ships

R oyal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, a cruise ship over five times as large as the Titanic, is preparing for its inaugural voyage in late January. A subset of die-hard passengers are saying they would much prefer the opposite of that mammoth boat.

Picking an older, smaller cruise might make for less fancy travel, but it comes with obvious advantages. Lower demand for the aged vessels in cruise lines’ fleets can prompt some big-deal savings. Some of these ships sail more exotic itineraries, and passengers enjoy greater attention from crew members without feeling so crowded. A cruise ship can start to show its age at around 15 years.

“Each ship has its own personality,” says Mari Marks, a luxury-travel adviser with Protravel International in Beverly Hills, Calif. “Because not everybody is going to love being with over 5,000 of their new best friends.”

Royal Caribbean operates the six largest cruise ships in the world. The Icon is now the largest. It can hold more than 7,000 passengers and comes with everything from an ice-skating arena to six waterslides.

A well-traveled boat

A few years ago, cruise regular and Las Vegas resident David Di Vito went on his first cruise aboard the Oasis of the Seas, which was once the world’s largest cruise vessel. Since then he has sailed on multiple Royal Caribbean ships. His favorite is the less-heralded Vision of the Seas.

Vision of the Seas has been in service since 1998. Di Vito and his fiancée, Marina Vail, appreciated that they weren’t overwhelmed by crowds and could do the activities they wanted.

While the older vessel didn’t have the many niceties of the Oasis of the Seas, they enjoyed themselves. Di Vito liked grabbing a deck chair and watching the ocean. Vail peeled off for trivia games and scavenger hunts.

Fewer people also meant better service, Di Vito, a 34-year-old sound engineer, says. He recalls that the Wi-Fi was more reliable, guest services was more responsive and booking excursions at ports of call wasn’t a hassle.

Such trips are often also cheaper. A seven-night sailing on the Icon of the Seas started at around $2,536 a person on a recent search for an interior stateroom before applying discounts. A three-night cruise to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral, Fla., in early September on Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas, which will have its maiden voyage in July, started at $827 a person for an interior cabin before discounts.

Meanwhile, a four-night cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, out of Tampa, Fla., on the Grandeur of the Seas, the cruise line’s oldest ship, around that same time started at $519 a person for an interior room before discounts.

Royal Caribbean didn’t respond to requests for comment.

The big get bigger

Other cruise companies have introduced gargantuan vessels in recent years. MSC Cruises entered the MSC World Europa into service in December 2022. The ship can hold more than 6,700 passengers and more than 2,100 crew members.

Carnival’s flagship, the Celebration, had its maiden voyage in late 2022. That ship has a maximum capacity above 6,500 passengers—and boasts the first roller coaster at sea.

“Larger ships offer more operational efficiencies, more revenue-generating opportunities and more space to offer a variety of accommodations, dining, entertainment and recreational features,” says Chris Chiames, chief communications officer for Carnival Cruise Line.

A cruise’s cost generally depends on factors including the length of the trip and demand for the itinerary, travel advisers say. But the ship’s age can also factor in.

Phil Perrey, a minister from St. Charles, Mo., says he and his wife wanted to sail on one of Royal Caribbean’s newer and larger ships. By the time they finished pricing it out, they realized they could pay at least $300 less to sail on the Celebrity Equinox, which first entered service nearly 15 years ago.

“And that’s for a higher-end cruise line,” Perrey says.

A ship pro tip

When booking cruises, Perrey takes an approach recommended by many travel advisers. Instead of looking at when a ship first sailed, he checks when it was last refurbished during what is known as a dry dock.

“A 10-year-old ship that hasn’t been through dry dock is going to feel older than a 20-year-old ship that got out of dry dock two years ago,” he says.

Carnival uses the dry-dock process to install features on its more-mature ships, such as the adult-only Serenity section, Chiames says. Three of its ships—the Sunshine, the Radiance and the Sunrise—were renamed following extensive renovations.

Older ships can come with drawbacks, even if they are recently renovated. They tend to have smaller rooms and fewer cabins with balconies, says Rob Clabbers, president of Q Cruise and Travel in Chicago.

Keeping older ships in a fleet enables cruise lines to serve a wider array of destinations. Newer megaships can be too big to dock in certain harbors, including Tahiti.

“We intentionally place our smaller ships in more exotic destinations with longer, port-intensive itineraries that offer a more immersive experience that our guests love,” says David Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Adam Carnevale, a small-business owner from Hickory, N.C., has sailed most often with Carnival. He and his wife regularly take advantage of offers they get since they frequent the casino.

Many of his cruises have been aboard the Carnival Sunshine. The ship sails out of Charleston, S.C., about four hours from home. They also appreciate the hometown vibe of the ship: They frequently recognize passengers and crew members from previous sailings.

Carnevale was less enthusiastic about a cruise he took out of Miami on the Celebration last summer. He says he found the food and service not up to the same level of quality as what he experienced on the Sunshine. He also wasn’t wowed by the ship’s many amenities, which he compared with an ice-cream cone overloaded with toppings.

“You don’t have to give me all the fancy stuff,” he says. “Sometimes vanilla is good.”

Utopia of the Seas guide: Everything we know about Royal Caribbean's newest Oasis Class cruise ship

Kristy Tolley

Launching July 22, Utopia of the Seas is part of Royal Caribbean 's beloved Oasis Class series of ships. The fact that Royal Caribbean is launching an Oasis Class ship on the heels of the much-touted debut of Icon of the Seas — the bigger, newer Icon Class of ships — is a testament to the popularity of Oasis Class vessels.

Larger than its sister ship, Wonder of the Seas, Utopia will be the world's second-largest cruise ship (until the second Icon Class ship, Star of the Seas, steals that spot in 2025).

Royal Caribbean hopes to draw a new crowd of never-cruised-before travelers by focusing on short three- and four-night itineraries that allow folks to sample cruising without too much of a commitment. It's the first time the line has earmarked a new Oasis Class ship for short-cruise service from its beginning. When it debuts, Utopia of the Seas will be far bigger, newer and more amenity-packed than any other cruise ship sailing short itineraries in North America.

From new restaurants and bars to announced itineraries, here's everything we know so far about Utopia of the Seas.

For cruise news, reviews and tips, sign up for TPG's cruise newsletter .

Overview of Utopia of the Seas

oasis of the seas cruise compass may 2022

The 237,000-ton Utopia of the Seas will be 18 decks high and is expected to carry up to 6,700 passengers in 2,830 cabins, placing it just behind Icon of the Seas as the world's second-biggest cruise ship.

Utopia of the Seas will be the sixth vessel in Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class of ships, which includes Oasis of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas , Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas.

Related: The ultimate guide to Royal Caribbean cruise ships and itineraries

It will sail a series of three- to four-night cruises to the Bahamas from Florida's Port Canaveral (near Orlando). All of the Utopia of the Seas sailings will include a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay , Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas. Fares for a three-night sailing start from $469 per person (excluding taxes and fees).

Like other Royal Caribbean vessels, Utopia of the Seas will teem with family-focused attractions like multiple pool areas, a kiddie splash zone, surfing simulators, a zip line and a two-story dry slide called the Ultimate Abyss. And that's just on the top decks.

Inside, you'll find an extensive selection of shops, as well as new and returning favorite restaurants and bars, a massive casino, an indoor ice-skating rink and theaters with Broadway-style shows. It will also feature a designated suite area with an exclusive lounge, restaurant and sun deck. With so much to do on board, your biggest challenge might be hitting all the activities on your to-do list on a three- or four-night sailing.

Related: The 7 classes of Royal Caribbean cruise ships, explained

Utopia of the Seas' design and layout will mirror the line's last new Oasis Class ship, Wonder of the Seas, launched in 2022. Like other Oasis Class vessels, the ship will feature individual "neighborhoods," each with its unique vibe. The Royal Promenade will be the ship's main thoroughfare, lined with shops, restaurants, cafes, nightclubs and bars. Also, leafy Central Park will be reprised on Utopia.

Entertainment venues like the casino and comedy club will be in the aptly named Entertainment Place, and the vessel will also feature the exclusive Suite Neighborhood for suite passengers.

Other neighborhoods include The Boardwalk — where you'll find the AquaTheater and Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade — and the Pool & Sports Zone — complete with an expansive Caribbean-themed pool deck and a three-story Lime and Coconut bar. The Youth Zone (with a for-fee arcade and youth activity programming) and the Vitality Spa & Fitness area round out the list.

Utopia of the Seas cabins and suites

oasis of the seas cruise compass may 2022

Utopia of the Seas will feature 2,830 cabins and suites, with more than 20 types of accommodations to suit every budget and group size. They include inside (windowless) cabins, ocean-view cabins and balcony cabins. Cruisers can choose from varied suite options, including the new posh Solarium Suites, exclusively on Utopia of the Seas.

The ship will also offer virtual balconies in select inside cabins. These accommodations will include 80-inch LED TVs that provide live views from outside the ship.

Royal Caribbean debuted the concept of interior-facing balconies with its Oasis Class vessels. On Utopia of the Seas, guests will also have the option to book a traditional balcony that faces the ocean or one overlooking the Boardwalk or Central Park.

The line's Royal Suite Class comprises three categories of suites — Star, Sky and Sea. All come with VIP perks such as a dedicated lounge area for suite guests, complimentary drinks and dining, personal concierge services via a Royal Genie, reserved pool deck seating and other amenities. Which perks you get depends on your suite tier.

Within the highest Star tier of suites (and exclusive to Utopia of the Seas), two expansive Solarium Suites will be perched above the ship's navigation bridge, providing spectacular 280-degree top-deck views. Each will feature a huge living room, a dining area and an infinite balcony. The infinite balcony technology, which Royal Caribbean debuted on Icon of the Seas, allows guests to lower a large window at the touch of a button to let fresh air into their room.

Other Royal Suite Class accommodations include the 1,500-square-foot, two-level Royal Loft Suite; it has a lofted master bedroom, a massive living room and a private balcony with an outdoor shower, hot tub, TV and minibar.

Utopia of the Seas restaurants and bars

Utopia of the Seas will offer more than 20 restaurant and bar options, with a solid mix of included-in-fare and extra-fee specialty dining venues. Here is what you can expect on board.

Restaurants

The following dining options are included in your fare:

The Dining Room: The multilevel main dining space will serve multicourse meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Windjammer Cafe: As on other Royal Caribbean ships, the buffet-style restaurant will be the go-to for varied breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

Solarium Bistro: Passengers can opt for healthful, lighter fare like salads, soups and fresh fruit.

The Spare Tire: Debuting on Utopia of the Seas, this food truck-style eatery will be found poolside and feature sandwiches, flatbread and various desserts.

Coastal Kitchen: Suites guests and Royal Caribbean's top-tier Pinnacle loyalty program members will have exclusive access to this space, serving California and Mediterranean fusion dishes.

Sorrento's Pizza: Curb pie cravings day or night at Royal Caribbean's popular pizza parlor .

Other spots to fuel up for free will include El Loco Fresh for fast-casual Mexican fare; Sprinkles for serve-yourself ice cream; Boardwalk Dog House for hotdogs, sausages and brats; and Park Cafe for coffee, tea and pastries.

Here is a rundown of added-fee specialty dining available on Utopia of the Seas.

Royal Railway — Utopia Platform: While full details are still under wraps, the new Royal Railway — Utopia Station restaurant will use technology to virtually transport guests to different places and times. After enjoying pre-dinner drinks on the station platform, guests will "board" the train and enjoy a multicourse dinner.

150 Central Park: This upscale restaurant offers six- to eight-course tasting menus and is only on Oasis Class ships. Dishes here highlight locally sourced ingredients, some prepared tableside.

Chef's Table: This private, five-course wine pairing dinner is hosted by the executive chef and onboard sommelier.

Chops Grille & Trellis Bar: You'll find the same flavorful steaks, fresh seafood and extensive wine selection at this version of Royal Caribbean's marquee steakhouse. On Utopia, the venue will be attached to the signature Trellis Bar, perfect for a convenient pre-dinner cocktail.

Giovanni's Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar: As on other ships, this popular Italian eatery will feature homemade pasta and fresh seafood, as well as a solid selection of wines. New to Utopia, the venue will span two floors. Guests can opt to dine alfresco on the restaurant's outside terrace overlooking The Boardwalk at the line's first Gio's Terrazza.

Izumi Hibachi & Sushi and Izumi in the Park: Guests can opt for a multicourse meal and entertainment in a private dining setting or grab fresh sushi and Japanese-inspired sweets at Izumi in the Park's walk-up restaurant.

Hooked Seafood: Serving New England-style seafood, Hooked will be the spot for Maine lobster rolls, crabcakes, oysters and other fresh seafood.

Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade : Like its predecessors on other Royal Caribbean vessels, this popular sports bar perfectly pairs pub grub with arcade games.

The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar: This popular venue is a returning favorite for Southern comfort food and live music .

Johnny Rockets: This popular added-fee ($12.99) spot is worth its weight in golden french fries (and burgers , onion rings and milkshakes).

Vitality Cafe and Starbucks are other added-fee venues on board.

With more than 20 bars and lounges, passengers on board Utopia of the Seas will have plenty of ways to celebrate a long weekend at sea. Here are some to look forward to.

Pesky Parrot: This new Caribbean-themed bar will replace the Bionic Bar on the Royal Promenade. The low-key venue will serve frozen drinks and fruit-based cocktails.

The Lime and Coconut: This lively Caribbean-themed pool deck bar will expand to a three-deck-high venue.

The Vue: The Vue first debuted on Wonder of the Seas. Adjacent to the ship's solarium, the bar is unique because it's cantilevered over the ship's side.

Add to the list returning venues like the aforementioned Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade for gameday bar favorites and drinks; Schooner Bar, the line's classic piano bar; the English pub, Bell and Barley; Boleros, the line's signature Latin bar where you can enjoy live salsa, samba and merengue music; and the romantic Giovanni's Wine Bar.

With several returning favorites and a few new or updated attractions, the newest Oasis Class vessel will be packed with onboard diversions.

Get your fill of fun in the sun with five onboard pools. Find the vibe you seek, with options ranging from the tranquil adults-only Solarium Pool to the bustling Lido Deck pool area with three pools and 11 whirlpools.

Younger cruisers will have a blast at the Splashaway Bay water park complete with slides, fountains, sprinklers and water cannons.

Out of the water, passengers can test their mettle on Utopia's 259-foot-long Ultimate Abyss slide. It's a Wonder of the Seas holdover — with an upgrade. The slide is 43 feet longer than previous iterations, making it the longest dry slide at sea.

The ship will also feature the signature FlowRider surf simulator, a 10-story-high zip line, a rock climbing wall and Utopia Playscape climbing structure and play area.

On Utopia of the Seas, passengers can choose to play at the main Casino Royale or a separate nonsmoking room. Casino Royale will offer about 30 table games and more than 370 slot machines.

The ship's Vitality Spa & Fitness will offer body- and soul-soothing treatments and ample opportunities to up your fitness game.
