Snoh Aalegra has announced a 2022 North American tour, with support from British singer Ama Lou. The 21-city tour kicks off on March 21 in Detroit. The full list of dates is below.

The tour will be in support of Aalegra’s critically and commercially acclaimed third album, Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies . The project, which came out in July, was released by production legend No I.D.’s Artium label in conjunction with Roc Nation . Producers on the album include The Neptunes and Tyler, The Creator.

Last month, Aalegra shared a video for the aforementioned Tyler, the Creator collaboration “Neon Peach,” as well as a cover of Bobby Caldwell’s “What You Won’t Do for Love.”

OkayPlayer wrote, “ Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies is Snoh Aalegra’s most mature album. Throughout it, there’s no question of if she’s evolved or not as an artist. If you listen close enough it’s clear that her voice has grown, but her taste in production has also transformed. Pop influences bleed into the release but it’s apparent she’ll never sway too far away from her R&B inclinations. Overall, the album was well worth the wait, it’s fleshed out, emotional, and moving.”

Snoh Aalegra has announced a 2022 North American tour, with support from British singer Ama Lou. The 21-city tour kicks off on March 21 in Detroit; check out the full list of dates below.

Last month, Aalegra shared a video for her Tyler, the Creator collaboration “ Neon Peach ,” as well as a cover of Bobby Caldwell’s “ What You Won’t Do for Love .” She released her third LP Temporary Highs in the Violet Skies in July.

She’s been mentored by Prince, sampled by Drake, and collaborated with the likes of Pharrell Williams and Tyler, the Creator. Now, with a trio of hit solo albums and a pair of Grammy nominations to her name, Swedish-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Snoh Aalegra is set to make her Australian live debut at Vivid LIVE, playing the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall for one unmissable night.

Born in Uppsala, Sweden to Iranian parents, Snoh Aalegra landed an artist development deal with Sony at the tender age of 13, and soon drew comparisons to singers such as Sade and Amy Winehouse with her smoky vocal style. Aalegra eventually signed with Kanye West’s mentor, No I.D., in 2013, guested on tracks for Common, and became a protegé of Prince, after the legendary artist discovered her music and reached out personally. In 2017, Aalegra released her full-length debut  Feels , which featured collaborations with Vince Staples and Logic, and followed it up with the US R&B smash  Ugh, Those Feels Again  in 2019 .  With production from Pharrell Williams and Tyler, the Creator, Aalegra’s dreamy 2021 album  Temporary Highs in the Violent Skies  proved to be her most successful to date, earning Grammy nods for Best R&B Album and Best R&B Performance for the single “Lost You”, a track that JAY-Z named as one of his favourites. In 2022, Aalegra toured with pop superstar The Weeknd, and in 2023 she dropped the sultry new tracks “Be My Summer” and “Sweet Tea”.

Our foyers will be open 90 minutes pre-show for Concert Hall and Joan Sutherland Theatre performances, and two hours pre-show for Western Foyer venue performances. Refreshments will be available for purchase from our theatre bars.

All Sydney Opera House foyers are pram accessible, with lifts to the main and western foyers. The public lift to all foyers is accessible from the corridor near the escalators on the Lower Concourse and also in the Western Foyer via the corridor on the Ground Level (at the top of the escalators). Pram parking will be available outside the theatres in the Western Foyer.

Visitors and ticketholders are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time and use public transport whenever possible when arriving for an event or performance. Large crowds are expected on the Opera House precinct and around the CBD, and road closures may be in place.

The Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay precincts are very popular and attract large crowds during Vivid Sydney. Visitors are strongly encouraged to leave the car at home and use public transport wherever possible. During this time, there will be changes to transport timetables so allow extra travel time.

The Sydney Opera House car park will be open every evening during Vivid Sydney, however it is expected to reach capacity early. Patrons are encouraged to use public transport wherever possible and allow extra travel time.

Please note that if you drive and arrive early for parking, you may not be able to exit if there are road closures in place. For detailed information on road closures during Vivid Sydney, please visit  Live Traffic NSW .

The Sydney Opera House no longer requires patrons to show that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Lighting of the Sails during Vivid Sydney is a free event. You do not need a ticket to view the incredible animations by Julia Gutman on the Sails every night from 24 May – 15 June.

If you are attending a performance as part of the Vivid LIVE program, a valid ticket is required. It’s highly recommended that you purchase tickets in advance.

It is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance, as tickets may not be available at the door. 

As a condition of entry, bag inspections and electronic screening will be carried out at the entry to the site. Please follow the directions of Opera House staff and security.

Please travel lightly and do not bring items that require cloaking e.g. handbags bigger than A4-size, backpacks and umbrellas, which are not permitted inside our venues.

The following items are prohibited:

• Glass beverage containers
• Professional cameras or recording devices
• Laser pointers or selfie sticks
• Illegal substances including controlled, dangerous or illicit drugs
• Offensive signage or clothing

Yes, cloaking will remain available but it is strongly encouraged that you travel lightly and leave large, bulky items at home. Cloakroom attendants will use disposable paper tickets to keep track of your items.

For patrons who are blind or have low vision, the Opera House will be hosting some audio-described sessions of this year’s images projected onto the sails, with specific dates to be announced soon. For more information please visit the event page.

Ticketholders are welcome to bring their own water bottle (as long as it isn’t made of glass) but no other food and drinks are permitted inside our venues. BYO alcohol is strictly prohibited from the Opera House.

The Opera House has a range of onsite bars and restaurants which are perfect for a pre-show drink, quick snack or sit-down meal.

Cashless payment methods are strongly recommended. Please bring a credit or debit card for any on-site purchases to assist with swift transactions.

Snoh Aalegra put on one hell of a show! She is amazing live and definitely did not disappoint! Not only were the opening acts were great, but Snoh and her band killed it!

She was very chill, soulful, Time was definitely the best song she did. Was not one to jump around or mosh to but definitely really chill and a chance to wind-down.
