Most of the time, this is not a problem, as most bands are staying within our 10,000 pound limit for GVWT (Gross Vehicle Weight, or a loaded trailer)...

By the way, for you Production Managers, our trailers weight about 4,500 pounds empty, leaving you about 5,500 pounds for the gear / merch...

Anyhow, a more frequent occurrence is that we find ourselves receiving a frantic call from our drivers at pick up stating that "this trailer is very heavy"...

So we instruct the driver to immediately weigh the full trailer, only to find that the GVWT is over 10,000 pounds... This becomes a new problem...

To battle this potential problem, we suggest making sure your packed load is less than 5,500 pounds, and if you must exceed that limit, act BEFORE the tour pick up...

Want to feel like a real Muscovite and experience the atmosphere or this extraordinary city in just a few hours? Then explore ithe main artery of Moscow - the Garden Ring.

After you visited the ancient Kremlin, explored the area of Kitay Gorod and enjoyed the sights of White city, it's time to move on and take a ride along the 17th century border of Moscow - the Garden Ring.

After we explore the Stalin skyscraper -  building of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we will turn to Old Arbat pedestrian zone. You will see lovely houses of 19 centuries and feel the atmosphere of old Moscow, as the Arbat preserved it almost untouched.

In 90-s Arbat was chosen by the members of numerous subcultures as the place for hangout. Nowadays Arbat is Bohemian place and one of Moscow's symbols. But long time ago it was just a suburb.

Soon we’ll find ourselves on New Arbat, that was founded in 60-s, and was conceived as a government road. This New Arbat dramatically differs from the Old Arbat.

Patriarch Ponds

One more beloved place among the Muscovites with a very rich history. A lots of famous and outstanding personalities lived in this area: poets, scientists, militaries and even criminals. In 17 century Patriarch Hermogenus founded a Patriarch's village here, hence the name. Moreover, this place is famous all over the world thanks to the genius Russian writer M. Bulgakov. He chose Patriarch's ponds as the scene of his novel "The Master and Margarita".

Hermitage Garden

The next coziest and memorable place for all of Muscovites is Hermitage Garden. Before the Revolution it was a Bohemian place, frequently attended by the great actors and writers, art workers, and patrons. Here for the first time in Moscow a movie of Lumiere's brothers was shown. Today tradition continues and there are two theaters inside the park, lots of memorials and fun.

Museon Park & Gorky Park

Today Muscovites can't imagine their leisure activities without visiting Museon Statues Park and Gorky Park. These are fun areas. Take a look at Soviet monuments of Communist rulers, take a walk along the embankment, note what's wrong with the Peter's the Great monument, enjoy big musical fountain in Gorky park and observe how Russians spend their free time.

Crimean bridge

The last part of our Moscow bus tour you'll spend walking over the Crimean bridge. Long time ago on that place was a ford, which the Crimean Tatars used in order to attack Muscovy, that's why it was called Crimean. This hanging bridge is the one of a kind in Moscow. Moreover, it serves as a fabulous observation point, it is really a mysterious place.

What is the garden ring in moscow.

Actually, we call the Garden Ring  a series of streets, separated by the squares.

A great number of fascinating and historical places a re situated on the Garden Ring.  Traveling along that street, you can briefly learn about all main areas of Moscow, learn its history and meaning. It will help you to navigate Moscow better and surely you can feel more like a local on this tour.

Every square on the Garden Ring has its own historical background. For example, Sukharevskaya square in 19 century hosted a market. It was very popular among Muscovites, but usually stolen things were sold there. Often people had to buy there their own stuff again after it was stolen. The Smolenskaya, Crimean, Serpukhovskaya, Taganskaya squares were market places too.

Triumphalnaya square bears its name in memory of triumphal arch that stood here to commemorate the victory over Sweden, built by the order of Peter the Great, as well as Red Gate square placed another triumphal arch. In the beginning of 20 century Triumphal square was a cultural place. Several theaters were situated there, Meyerhold’s theater among them, a circus and a park.

Three squares of the Garden Ring became real battlefields during the revolution between the bolsheviks and tsar's supporters in 1917. And finally capitulation of royal regime was signed in the building, situated on the Garden Ring.

"And the Garden ring became a wedding ring to us…"

These are words from the official soundtrack to the very popular soviet movie "Moscow does not believe in tears" that has won an American Academy Award for the best foreign language film in 1980. Not coincidentally Garden Ring is mentioned in this song as a symbol of Moscow. As it is very important part of our city, it reflects all historical events beginning from the end of 16th century.

A Garden Ring? No. An earthern rampart!

The territory outside White city's wall was called Earthern city . The Earthern city was an area were traditionally poor citizens used to settle: peasants and craftsmen. In comparison with the White city this area has always been dirty and less prestigious. For example, in White city streets were paved in stone and buildings stood on the stone basements while Earthern city had only wooden houses.

This area was proclaimed as a part of Moscow only in 1593. And great fortification wooden wall, that surrounded the territory of Earthern city, was erected by the order of tsar Fyodor Ioannovich only in a year and was called "Skorodom" - fast-built house. Outside Skorodom was additionally fortificated with the moat and the rampart.

In Times of Troubles Skorodom was burnt down by Poles and restored by the Great Tsar Alexis Mikhailovich the Silent. Finally it had 57 towers and 11 entry gates.  Nowadays on that spots, where gates once stood, you can spot the main squares of Moscow.

Skorodom was destroyed and restored a lot's of times: during the Times of Troubles, Napoleon's invasion, in frequent Moscow fires. And finally in 1830 Skorodom was demolished as it lost its functions.

Miraculous transfiguration on Stalin’s orders

In 1917 the Great October revolution blew up everything that seemed to be right at that time. And in 1930-s Moscow was reconstructed… again. This time communists were making Moscow a model of communistic city. Surely that large-scale reconstruction touched the Garden Ring. The road was widened up to 60-70 meters, paved and became a ring with the help of new bridges: Crimean and Krasnokholmskiy. Since that time the Garden Ring is considered the main artery of Moscow.

American country singer and songwriter Michael Wilson Hardy, better known as HARDY, opened up about his struggles with anxiety and panic attacks in a post on Instagram on Oct. 3. The "TRUCK BED" singer has chosen to cancel upcoming shows to focus on his mental health.

After his tour bus crashed in Nashville in October of last year, HARDY suffered physical injuries that have affected his mental health. The bus overturned with four individuals on board, including HARDY's tour manager, videographer and driver. Despite suffering serious injuries, all members on board survived.

"I need to be honest with everyone for a second. I've been dealing with some serious anxiety since the bus accident last year and over the last two weeks, it has taken control of my life. It's caused me to suffer many panic attacks which have landed me in the hospital," HARDY wrote. He added that he needed time to focus on himself and bettering himself for his family and fans.

Due to this, HARDY will be cancelling two of his shows on the "the mockingbird & THE CROW Fall Tour" on Oct. 5 and 7, with refunds available. HARDY released album "the mockingbird & THE CROW" in January and has been on his fall tour since the end of August.

HARDY will also be moving his Georgia Rodeo show from Oct. 6 to April 12, 2024; tickets for the show will be valid for the new date.

HARDY finished his post by writing, "My plan is to be back and focused on Oct 12th. Thank you for understanding, see you soon."

50 walk away from burning double-decker bus on I-595 in Davie

MIAMI - About 50 people are lucky to be alive Friday afternoon after the double-decker bus they were in caught fire, shutting down the westbound lanes of I-595 in Davie.

It happened before 3 p.m. near Nob Hill Road.

CBS News Miami's Nikiya Carrero interviewed two of the tourists who say they were headed to the Everglades, but they never made it. Edward McElduff, visiting from the UK, said "It was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. I started thinking about my fiancé and my wedding that I got coming up. Sort of started accepting defeat."    McElduff, along with his colleagues, decided to take a break from the World Finance Forum and take a trip to see alligators when the unimaginable happened.  Lewis Chandler, also visiting from the UK, said "It's just one of those things that would never happen or ever happen to you and then all of sudden you find yourself running off a bus on the freeway."  The group got on the bus at 305 Lincoln Road on South Beach where Miami Tours is located.  About 40 minutes into the drive, they noticed smoke.  "Then, about 10 minutes later, we noticed we were being pulled over on the freeway. And it was at that moment we noticed something more serious was going on." The group said the driver did not give them any instructions, so they took matters into their own hands.  Calmly, exiting one by one, but the door on the bus was against the guard on the shoulder.  "We had been pulled over so far that you had to climb over the shoulder to get out of the door," said Chandler. Both men said they were two unsung heroes who assisted the entire group.

No injuries were reported.

Images from Chopper 4 showed a charred skeleton of a chartered bus on the emergency lane of an empty highway.

It is not clear what may have started the fire.

The bus was eventually towed away from the scene, as lanes started to reopen.  Traffic was affected for miles.

Melissa Etheridge and Danny Trejo are among the co-chairs of this year’s Mobilize Recovery initiative.

Kicking off from Los Angeles on Sept. 20, Mobilize Recovery Across America 2024 will depart on a cross-country bus tour, stopping in 15 cities during September and October. At each stop, community members, partners, and volunteers will offer community trainings, listening sessions, overdose response supports, and they will engage local policymakers and communities on issues that matter to the recovery movement.

Activations during the bus stops include distributing overdose prevention education, moderated roundtables and TEDx-style talks about addiction, recovery and mental health.

Additional co-chairs include “American Idol” winner Noah Thompson, Fitz and the Tantrums, former NBA player Chris Herren, Dr. Miriam Delphin-Rittmon (Administrator of SAMHSA), Neil Potts (VP of Trust and Safety at Meta) and Dr. Karen DeSalvo (Chief Health Officer at Google).

The bus tour route and local events will be announced through Mobilize Recovery’s Facebook page on June 10 and on their website. Individuals and community organizations interested in participating are encouraged to sign up for updates at mobilizerecovery.org .

Listening to your favorite musician at home is fun, but there's nothing quite like the experience of singing along with them, and tons of more fans, live. And as luck would have it, 2024 is shaping up to be a massive year for some of the world's top musical acts, so chances are your favorite performer might be stopping at a city near you soon.

Ahead, we rounded up some of the biggest concert tours of 2024, ranging from Taylor Swift's mega-popular Eras Tour to Drake and J. Cole's exciting It's All A Blur Tour - Big as the What?—set to kick off this winter. You can also expect tour dates from classic icons like Stevie Nicks, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, and more.

1) Taylor Swift

Undoubtedly one of the biggest concert tours ever, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour will continue right through 2024. The international leg of the tour kicked off in Japan, where she played four shows in Tokyo. She'll also stop in Melbourne, Singapore, Paris, Madrid, London, Milan, and more before returning to the States to play in the fall.

There's nothing like seeing T. Swift IRL, but don't fret if you're unable to nab tickets—the Eras Tour movie is now available to stream from the comfort of your home.

2) Olivia Rodrigo

This is not a drill—"Drivers License" singer Olivia Rodrigo will be hitting the road on tour starting at the end of February. The Guts World Tour runs from February through mid-August and has dates in Nashville, Toronto, Chicago, and New York City, among others. Even cooler? Rodrigo will have a stacked list of special guests—like PinkPantheress, Remi Wolf, The Breeders, and Chappell Roan—with her.

3) Red Hot Chili Peppers

Did you hear the good news? The Red Hot Chili Peppers have extended their global tour through summer 2024. The buzzy stadium tour, which kicked off in June 2022, will now run until July 2024 and bring the California-based band to places like Los Angeles, Tampa, Toronto, and Salt Lake City.

4) Bad Bunny

It's fitting that "Monaco" rapper Bad Bunny titled his tour Most Wanted —it's slated to be one of the year's hottest tours. Planned to help promote his latest studio album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana , Most Wanted will kick off in Salt Lake City on February 21 and run through May 26.

5) Billy Joel

If you haven't yet seen Billy Joel perform live, there's still time! The Piano Man has added more tour dates to his schedule, stopping in cities like Tampa, New York, Denver, and St. Louis this year. Even more exciting? He'll share the stage with fellow iconic performers Sting and Stevie Nicks for some of these dates.

Mitski recently announced that she's expanding her North American tour dates , and we couldn't be more excited. The months-long tour, which supports her 2023 studio album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, has a long list of stops, including Miami Beach, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Paris.

There's nothing quite like a Madonna concert, that's for sure. The singer's Celebration Tour , which started last October, continues straight through the spring with dates in Seattle, San Francisco, Mexico City, and more. Besides her eye-catching sets, chart-topping songs, and impressive choreography, concertgoers also get a glimpse of the performer's fantastic costumes, which include looks from Versace and Jean Paul Gaultier.

8) Bleachers

The New Jersey-founded rock band, which is fronted by Jack Antonoff—known for producing albums for top acts like Taylor Swift, Lorde, and Lana Del Rey—not only has announced a new album but a new tour , too. The tour will start in the UK in March, ending fittingly in the band's home state of New Jersey in mid-June. 9) Nicki Minaj

Nicki fans rejoice: the rapper and singer might be coming to a city near you soon as part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The massive tour will include performances in Brooklyn, Oakland, and Baltimore, with stops at Dreamville Festival and Rolling Loud California along the way.

10) Blink 182

Live out all of your nineties and early aughts pop-punk dreams with one of Blink 182's One More Time Tour dates. The tour, which supports the band's ninth studio album, One More Time..., will bring the trio to cities all over the globe, including Sydney, Santiago, Portland, and Boston. The tour's supporting act is Pierce the Veil, which is also worth checking out.

11) Stevie Nicks

The oh-so-magical Stevie Nicks continues her touring streak with a bunch of 2024 concert dates . Set to begin in Atlantic City, NJ on February 10, Nicks will visit a dozen cities throughout the U.S. this year, such as New Orleans, Omaha, and Chicago. "Let's keep this party going in 2024," the singer-songwriter posted on her Instagram in September to announce the newly added tour dates.

12) The 1975

The 1975 is showing no signs of slowing down. The British band, famous for hits like "Somebody Else" and "Robbers," has extended their 2023 tour through 2024. Titled Still...At Their Very Best , the 22-date tour will open in Glasgow on February 8 and conclude in Amsterdam on March 24.

13) Drake and J. Cole

Rap greats Drake and J. Cole come together for the It's All a Blur Tour – Big As the What? which is guaranteed to be a good time. Drake, fresh off his 2023 It's All a Blur tour with 21 Savage, is set to hit dozens of cities starting in February, many of which J. Cole will also be in tow for. Scoop up tickets ASAP, as Drake's shows are known to sell out.

14) Janet Jackson

Superstar Janet Jackson is also extending her 2023 tour, Together Again , into 2024 with dates in Anaheim, Austin, New Orleans, and Hartford. Even cooler? Jackson's supporting act is the 2000s southern rap legend Nelly.

15) Rolling Stones

If you've ever dreamed of seeing the Rolling Stones perform live in person, now's your chance. The iconic rockers, who released their studio album Hackney Diamonds this past fall, are returning on the road for a 16-date tour with shows throughout the United States and Canada. Concertgoers can expect a mix of new tunes and Stones classics.

16) Bruce Springsteen

Famous for countless listenable hits like "Born to Run" and "Glory Days," Bruce Springsteen is set to embark on a massive world tour this year with his band, The E Street Band. The much-anticipated tour will take the Boss and his crew to cities such as Phoenix, San Diego, Dublin, and Madrid, from March through November.

17) John Mayer

Be sure to catch John Mayer's solo tour this year, which will bring the guitarist and crooner to cities throughout Europe. This leg, an extension of his popular 2023 solo tour, will kick off in Stockholm on March 13 and finish in Dublin on March 29.

18) Shania Twain

Okay, this one is technically a residency , but we're excited nonetheless. Shania Twain, most known for her incredible outfits (her hooded leopard print look, anyone?) and hits like "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" is setting up shop in Vegas starting May 10. Twain's residency will take place at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood on and off throughout December 2024.

All good things must come to an end. The Eagles, known for "Hotel California" and other amazing rock songs, began their final concert tour this winter. It launched in Phoenix on January 20, with March 16 as its last date in the United States. Eagles fans won't want to miss this one.

20) Alanis Morisette: The Triple Moon Tour

Alanis Morisette joins forces with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts for their 2024 Triple Moon Tour , which has dates in North America and Canada. This tour is a great one to catch this summer, as it's slated to run from June through August.

15 people injured when tram collides with guardrail at Universal Studios theme park near Los Angeles

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. (AP) — More than a dozen people suffered mostly minor injuries when a tram used for tours crashed into a railing at Universal Studios Hollywood near Los Angeles, authorities and the company said.

Los Angeles County Fire Department units responded shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday to the theme park in Universal City, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) northwest of downtown LA, the agency said in a social media post.

The California Highway Patrol said that while the tram was negotiating a turn, its last car collided with a metal guardrail, “causing it to tilt and eject multiple passengers.”

The fire department said 15 people were taken to hospitals with minor injuries. The highway patrol’s statement on Sunday said some of the injuries were moderate, but didn’t specify a number.

Universal Studios Hollywood said in a statement Sunday afternoon that tours have resumed with a modified route.

“Our thoughts continue to be with the guests who were involved, and we are thankful that based on agency reports, the injuries sustained were minor. We are working closely with public agencies, including the California Highway Patrol, as we continue our review of the incident and safety remains a top priority,” the statement said.

The highway patrol, which is leading the investigation, said alcohol and drugs were not considered a factor.

The tram circuit, called the World-Famous Studio Tour, offers a glimpse behind the scenes of Universal movies including “Jaws” and Jordan Peele’s “Nope.” The theme park will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the tour starting Friday.

It was great to be able to be there by ourselves and the monk that showed us around and Anton both were obviously very passionate about the monastery so you were able to understand much better what the various churches and icons meant to them The view from the bell tower was awesome even if the climb up took some faith! Dinner was very good except for my wife who doesn't like fish and that is all they eat at the monastery besides vegetables, but still very unique dinner. Read more Written February 9, 2020

We organized that tour from Australia well ahead of time, planning to visit Zvenigorod with big group of extended family and friends with teens as part of our New Year trip to Moscow. The communication with Anton, our guide, was excellent during the time since booking till the excursion day. The actual day was organized very good, taken into account mixed group of adults, born in USSR and kids, born in Australia. Anton organized our activities to be suitable for all of us. As adults, we were enjoyed country side during winter and Monastery's quietness and ability to jump to the cold "holy" water at one of the oldest Monasteries of Russia - Savva Storoghevskiy Man Monastery. That was the most amazing and nearly magical experience! Kids were enjoyed of snow and treats Anton provide for us, including buisquits and Sbiten'. We also visited very interesting Museum of Russian desserts and learn a lot about ancient russian sweets; have a look on our past in the Museum of USSR and bought some yammie things to enjoy later. In general we all agree that our tour to Zvenigorod with Anton was enjoyable and educational; well organized and unforgettable. We wish we would have more time there! I went with the family, my husband and two daughters and they enjoyed every minute. Anton was very attentive to our needs and have good connections with the local communities. We tasted delicious Russian lunch on this tour. We had a fun time painting our Russian dolls (matryoshka) and finished the trip with a great feeling of connection to Russian culture, tasty food, fantastic people and magnificent architecture.   Do not hesitate to book this tour. He took us down the bunker 43 meter down the surface, explained about the heavy doors and let us open them, kept us informed about its functions and introduced us whatever exhibits were left there. There is an interesting balance of history, access you would not expect around a monastery, the visuals of the architecture and decoration, unique chance to observe the inner workings of the monastery, views from vantage points and the towers. The metro is so interesting and important for local citizens, Red Square is amazing, St. Basil cathedral was iconic both outside and even more interesting inside. It was both interesting and educational seeing central Moscow streets. Anton managed to book us a table for lunch with delicious local food and he helped us with recommendations for dinner (booked is a table as well). Brilliant job, Moscow with locals!
