Tyler, the Creator Unveils 2022 UK, Europe and Australia Tour Dates

Continuing his support for ‘call me if you get lost.’.

Shortly after closing out his North American tour, Tyler, the Creator has announced a new set of dates that will bring him to the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia this 2022.

The 20-date engagement will continue to support CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST   and is set to kick off on June 3 in Warsaw, Poland. T will also appear in countries such Spain, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Ireland, in the UK over at Manchester and London and in Australia over at Sydney, Byron Bay, Perth and Auckland before closing out the tour on August 3 in Melbourne. In addition to his solo shows, this tour will see him perform for festivals including Wireless, Roskilde, Parklife, Primavera Sound Barcelona and more.

The rapper arrives in the UK in September for two shows

Tickets for Tyler the Creator's three shows at the Brixton Academy go on sale today (24 May).

The rapper will play songs from his fifth album, 'Igor' on September 16-18 in London.

He was previously supposed to perform here in 2015 as part of the Cherry Bomb tour with sets at Reading and Leeds Festivals lined up.

However he was banned by then Home Secretary Theresa May, claiming his lyrics encouraged 'violence and intolerance of homosexuality'.

Both stalls and balcony tickets are priced at £50.

It looks like all three dates at the Brixton Academy are sold out.

Over the next few days more could be added - The xx did seven nights at the venue back in 2017 - as demand has been very high this morning.

Congrats to any fans who got tickets and fans who missed out can set up an alert on Twickets.

Although right now there’s probably none listed, once it gets closer to the date more are likely to be put up on the site so you can receive alerts to your phone or email when one becomes available.

The fan-to-fan resale site means tickets can only be listed at face value or less so you won’t be ripped off.

Frustratingly tickets have already been listed on resale sites including Viagogo less than 15 minutes after tickets going on sale.

Sellers have posted tickets for as much as £125 for stalls standing, that’s more than double the standard price.

It also looks like they’ve sold on Ticketweb and See Tickets with no word of extra dates yet.

But keep an eye out on social media for any announcements.

It marked his first release in two years and features guest vocalists Solange, Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West, Santigold, La Roux, CeeLo Green, Slowthai and Pharrell.

Tyler also runs the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival festival which features a lot of his collaborators and friends on the lineup.

Tyler, The Creator announces UK tour dates

Odd Future rapper will play London and Manchester gigs in May

Tyler, The Creator has announced details of two UK tour dates in May.

Last year, Tyler, The Creator was arrested at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas, for allegedly inciting a riot. The Odd Future member was picked up by police at Austin-Bergstrom Airport on March 15 following an alleged incident which took place on March 13 in downtown Austin. He was arrested and charged with a Class A misdemeanor with bail set at $25,000 (£15,000).

His second album, Wolf, was released in 2013, featuring Pharrell Williams and Odd Future members Frank Ocean and Earl Sweatshirt.

Tyler, The Creator makes a triumphant return to the UK

When Theresa May resigned from her role as prime minister earlier this year, there was one celebrity response that elicited more excitement than most. "Theresa gone, I'm back," penned Tyler, The Creator to his eight million Twitter followers, to the tune of 131,000 likes. In 2015, the rapper had been banned from entering the UK by the then home secretary, for offensive music he had released in 2009. But just days before May's resignation, he'd returned to London to announce a last-minute, surprise show in Peckham via a selfie of him stood outside Buckingham Palace. Crowds swarmed to the gig's venue, Virgil Abloh apparently got caught in the mob, and then the police shut the whole operation down. Organising spontaneous comeback shows is apparently a little trickier when you have millions of fans who have been waiting to see you perform live for four years. Not long after, in a bizarre moment of cultural and political serendipity, Tyler announced that he would be playing three dates at Brixton Academy in September, sold them out, and May tearfully handed over the responsibility of Brexit to someone else. GIFs of the ex-prime minister's awkward dance moves soon spread across Twitter like wildfire.

Whether he liked it or not, it felt as though much of the energy at his opening night at Brixton Academy was fuelled by his audience's political angst, as thousands of fans armed with bumbags piled into the show ready to mosh and shout some bad words at the top of their lungs. It didn't take much to set them off. Flickers of movement behind the silver curtain that served as his first backdrop incited the kind of isolated squeals that you'd expect to hear at a blockbuster boyband stadium concert, and when he finally emerged on stage and stood still, hunched over in a yellow suit, to perform "Igor's Theme", the crowd's word-perfect sing-a-long was almost as impressive as Tyler's ability to switch between moods and personas. One moment he'd be motionless, limp with indifference as he embodied the "Igor" protagonist of his latest album, the next he'd be flailing around the stage in a manner that looked as though it would be working every muscle group.

It took only one song before the crowd started to shout, "Fuck Theresa May!" – a chant that has been encouraged by Slowthai at his own gigs over the past year – in response to Tyler saying, "Looondooon, must have been four years or some shit." He stood there, dead still once more, grunting occasionally as the audience's antihero assistant Igor while the chant enveloped the entire venue. "I got three nights of this shit, huh?" was his eventual response, before he launched into "I Think". Later, when he referenced the two albums he released during his ban, Cherry Bomb and Flower Boy , the crowd instinctively booed. "It's cool now, we're past that," he reassured his fans. The boos for May faded out, but did not disappear entirely.

Although he didn't perform any material from Bastard , the mixtape that was cited as the reason behind his ban from the UK, Tyler, The Creator did not shy away from the kind of risqué work that has put him at the centre of controversies over the years. His 2011 track "Yonkers" received one of the biggest cheers of the evening, as the crowd gleefully relished the opportunity to threaten to "stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus" as loud as they could. Still, offset by some of his more recent, softer work on Flower Boy and Igor, these moments only felt like small pockets of aggression within the set. Lightning visuals and the harsh blue lights of sirens would occasionally illuminate the stage and the crowd would rage but, before long, everything returned to pastel hues for songs like "See You Again". At times, Tyler would even substitute frantically throwing his body around for a moonwalk across the stage.

By the end of the set, Tyler's apathetic persona began to wear away and he thanked his lawyers and "everyone who helped [him] get in tonight" for, one can assume, facilitating his return to the UK. "It's been four fucking years since they let my black skin in here," he said, having previously stated that he believes Theresa May's ban was racially motivated. A lot can happen in four years, as the UK now knows, and Tyler's musical evolution over that time was what stood out the most at the show. Threatening and vulnerable, manic and then controlled, Tyler, The Creator affirmed himself as one of the most complex and interesting rappers working today. Patience is a virtue and, for his legion of fans in Brixton last night, good things came to those who had long awaited his return. Theresa's gone, Tyler's back and, if you can get your hands on a ticket, there's still two more opportunities to see him perform while he's in the UK. Is it just me, or does the sun seem to be shining a little bit brighter today?

Amazing experience... Taco was an amazing DJ doing a great job of hyping the crowd up. Then Vince came out and killed it just a great set. the stage design was like no other the rotating screens were really cool and it was nice that they put timers up so we knew when Vince would come out. Tyler's performance was just amazing he performed for 2 1/2 hours and he really is a great performer, he performed both old and new songs there wasn't a favorite of mine that he missed. The stage design was so cool with a huge tree for Tyler to stand on. Tyler really cares about his fans he sang happy birthday to this one dude which was so sick. The show was sold out so 2,400 people were all singing the words to his songs which was just amazing the best concert experience I have ever had I have to go see him live again.

Rex Orange County opened with dope beach vibes then later joined in on "Boredom". After Rex finished, Tyler carried the show alone reflecting the energy of the whole crowd. He is a lightening storm on stage. He said that one of his goals on this tour is to see the crowd dance and his beats strongly reflect that sentiment. If you find yourself lucky at one of his shows, do yourself a favor; wear sneakers and don't bring your drink into the mosh pit, you're in for a treat.

I loved every min of his performance.. I loved and appreciated the re-verb of ''tell these black kids they can be who they are'' means so much to us. And I know this isn't his favorite album and It didn't come out as this ''star studded'' album. But there's no one couldn't have said it better than Tyler at this time. So I want to thank him for that. Maybe he will finally be able to score a movie that would be so !!!!

Tyler, The Creator kicks off his Spring 2022 North American tour with Kali Uchis, Vince Staples and Teezo Touchdown on February 10, 2022 with his only New England stop at the DCU Center on Thursday, March 3.

Tyler, the Creator at Coachella review – an exhilarating, high-stakes spectacle

The mischievous rapper delivered a late headliner set with a parade of guests yet the commanding star remained the focus

“T hese are Epstein hours,” Tyler, the Creator said at the beginning of his Coachella set, joking darkly (as he is wont to do) about his 11.40pm headliner slot. Later, the rapper told festival-goers he went into the performance “skeptical”, because, in his words, “the [Coachella] crowd can be dead as hell.” Luckily for both parties, the audience had no choice to pay attention, get loud and fully immerse themselves in the whirlwind, a breathless experience for all.

Tyler commanded attention from the beginning, throwing himself through the wall of a fake trailer. He did this while pyrotechnics went off in the foreground. The desert-themed set was high spectacle and controlled chaos, exactly what you might expect from an artist hell-bent on delivering shock value.

During his opening numbers, WusYaName and Lumberjack off of 2021’s Call Me If You Get Lost, Tyler fully owned the stage, dancing around it with his signature weird-but-smooth moves, moving so fluidly it seemed like he was floating. Eventually, Tyler did fly, in a bit of stagecraft in which he held on to the set as if the desert wind might blow him away.

Though the Odd Future reunion some fans on Reddit and X were hoping for did not come to pass, Tyler’s guest stars included Donald Glover (AKA Childish Gambino, who Tyler said he “used to hate” before getting to know better), A$AP Rocky (again, someone Tyler copped to hating at one point), The Gap Band vocalist Charlie Wilson, and Kali Uchis, who sang her part of See You Again.

Tyler’s irreverent banter kept fans focused in between songs. “I’m about to be yelling on stage and singing out of key and jumping around dick all sweaty,” he told the crowd, though to be fair, his vocals stayed top-notch. The topic came up again toward the end of his set. “I can’t wait to go clean my dick,” Tyler said before closing with New Magic Wand, a synth-y offering from 2019’s Igor. (Right after that, he urged guests who might be rolling on MDMA and considering a festival orgy back at the campsite to use protection.)

Even with high winds and cold temperatures that forced some of the less rugged attendees to flee before Tyler finished, the set seemed to really fly by, probably due to the production’s tight choreography and effortless transitions. After Lana Del Rey’s disaster-prone Friday night opener , it was refreshing to see someone’s hard work go very, very right.

And yet even amid all the extravaganza, my favorite moment of the night came from an unscripted, off-the-cuff remark. Tyler let the audience know he only had four minutes left to perform before curfew, and when some started to boo, he advised them to direct their heckling to Coachella’s top boss, Paul Tollett. Tyler, ever an agent of chaos, reveled when they obliged: “Boo the owner, that’s sick.”

Tyler, the Creator at Coachella 2024: everything you need to know

The Odd Future cofounder takes the stage on Saturday night at Coachella.

For Angelenos, Tyler, the Creator is as much of a local cultural icon as he is a global rap superstar thanks to his GOLF WANG store on Fairfax and even his own annual hip-hop fest,  Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival .

But his headlining set at Coachella  is nonetheless a pretty big deal—so here’s everything you need to know about his performance at the Indio music festival .

When is Tyler, the Creator playing at Coachella this year?

He’ll be performing on Saturday, April 20, during the fest’s second weekend (he already performed during the first on Saturday, April 13).

What time will he come on stage?

11:40pm on Saturday, according to the scheduled start time for the second weekend of the festival. It’s worth mentioning that there’s a 1am curfew (that the festival has sometimes cruised past).

What will the setlist look like?

We of course won’t know until Tyler actually takes the stage, but the first weekend’s setlist offers some  pretty good ideas of what we can expect. “IFHY,” “Tamale” and his breakout hit “Yonkers” are among the staples of his sets, and they were all featured in his 22-song set during the first weekend. His last album,  Call Me If You Get Lost , comprised the bulk of his first weekend performance, but as with his set at Camp Flog Gnaw last fall, there was a little bit of something pulled from all of his records.

What special guests might show up?

There’s no guarantee the same guests will appear during the second weekend, but for the first Childish Gambino performed with Tyler on “Running Out of Time,” A$AP Rocky came on stage for “Potato Salad” and “Who Dat Boy,” Charlie Wilson joined him for “Earfquake” and Kali Uchis appeared for “See You Again.”

Has Tyler, the Creator ever played Coachella before?

This is Tyler’s third time playing Coachella—though his first time headlining. He had a prominent slot at the Outdoor Theatre in 2015, when he notably had some choice words for Kendall Jenner, who was watching from the pit. And then he played the Coachella Stage—the same one he’ll be headlining this weekend—with a Saturday set back in 2018 (though he also briefly appeared a day earlier to guest during Kali Uchis’s set). Also, it’s worth mentioning that Lana Del Rey , who headlines Friday of Coachella, topped the 2017 edition of Tyler’s own Gamp Flog Gnaw Carnival.

What’s the rest of the weekend’s schedule like?

On the main stage, Tyler will follow No Doubt , who was given an “and…” headlining credit on the lineup . He’ll also be playing after Gesaffelstein on the Outdoor Stage, and at the same time as Orbital at the Gobi tent and Dom Dolla in the Sahara tent. Tyler, the Creator headlines Outside Lands 2024 with The Killers, Post Malone among massive lineup

S AN FRANCISCO – Organizers of the annual Outside Lands festival at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on Tuesday revealed the lineup for the 2024 event.

Headliners of the three-day festival include rapper Tyler, the Creator, alternative rock band The Killers, and country singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson. Organizers also revealed that Post Malone will perform a special country set.

Other acts high on the bill include indie rockers The Postal Service, iconic Jamaican model, actress and songwriter Grace Jones, Canadian producer/rapper Kaytranda, British dance outfit Jungle, Run the Jewels rapper Killer Mike, Sacramento product and Grammy-winning R&B singer Victoria Monét, powerhouse Australian punk band Amyl & the Sniffers and much more.

Organizers stressed that the lineup is subject to change. The schedule will be released closer to the event, which will take place August 9-11.

"Every year we start with a blank canvas and because of the diverse and sophisticated palette of Bay Area music fans, we get to program a festival that is not only multigenerational but shows an incredible range of genres and musical subcultures," Allen Scott, co-founder of Outside Lands and Head of Concerts & Festivals at Another Planet Entertainment, said Tuesday.

Tickets for the three-day event will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, April 24 at 10 a.m. PT at the event's website. Three-day general admission (GA) tickets are $465 plus fees, 3-day GA+ tickets are $715 plus fees, and 3-day VIP tickets are $1,075 plus fees.

Installment plans are also available, with $99 down for GA, $159 down for GA, and $199 for VIP.

As in past years, tickets are expected to sell quickly. On April 3, early "Eager Beaver" presale tickets for Outside Lands sold out the same morning .

Earlier this month, Another Planet Entertainment announced the first of at least two concerts held in the Polo Grounds of Golden Gate Park the weekend after Outside Lands featuring System of a Down and Deftones. That show scheduled for Saturday, August 17, quickly sold out of all 50,000 tickets available . 

Since it started in 2008, Outside Lands has become one of the city's major musical events. The festival typically draws more than 200,000 people to Golden Gate Park over the course of the weekend, generating millions for the city's Recreation and Park Department, as well as the economic benefits created by concertgoers spending in the city.

Outside Lands has announced the 2024 lineup for its annual music festival.

Topping the bill this year is Tyler, the Creator, the experimental rapper, singer and producer whose powerful stage presence overshadowed the actual headliners when he performed on a smaller Outside Lands stage in 2021. Aughts rock mainstays The Killers and country singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson join Tyler as co-headliners.

The festival, which draws hundreds of thousands of fans to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park each August, notably has a larger country music presence than in years past. Hot off his feature on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter , Post Malone will perform an all-country set. Other lineup highlights include art pop icon and fashion muse Grace Jones; disco revivalists Jungle; “Water” hitmaker Tyla; Sacramento-raised Grammy winner Victoria Monét; the Postal Service, patron saints of millennial sad boys and girls everywhere; house music producer Kaytranada; actor and electronic music producer Idris Elba and many more.

In addition to its musical, culinary and cannabis offerings, Outside Lands will bring back Dolores’, its queer-oriented, open-air dance club that debuted to great acclaim last year. Its SOMA stage, for electronic music, will also change from its previous tent setting to an open-air format.

Outside Lands takes place Aug. 9-11, and three-day tickets go on sale April 24 at 10 am.

San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music Festival just announced their 2024 lineup and it’s a barn burner.

Taking place Aug. 9-11 at Golden Gate Park, this year’s top headliners include Hip-Hop icon Tyler The Creator , rapidly rising pop star Chappell Roan, rock vets The Killers, indie darlings The Postal Service, and the new Regina George aka Reneé Rapp .

They’ll be joined by Sturgill Simpson , Gryffin , Chris Lake , Kaytranada , and Jungle .

Other biggies rounding out the bill include Grace Jones, Schoolboy Q, Young The Giant , Killer Mike , and Slowdive .

Yes, Post Malone will be on hand to perform a handful of country tunes, too.

Plus, “The Wire” star Idris Elba is also scheduled to drop by for a DJ set.

If you can’t wait to get your hands on Outside Lands passes, you can pick them up as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Wednesday, April 24, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Tyler, the Creator Brings Comedy, Fireworks to Coachella Headlining Set

Tyler, The Creator headlined the second day of Coachella on Saturday night — a momentous occasion for one of rap’s biggest stars, coming 13 years after his Coachella debut as a member of Odd Future in 2011.

Tyler pulled out all the stops for his show, bringing out a star-studded guest list that included Childish Gambino , A$AP Rocky , Kali Uchis and soul singer Charlie Wilson , the famed lead vocalist of The Gap Band.

“These are Epstein hours!” exclaimed the 33-year-old rapper at the start of his set, which he began at 11:40 p.m. on the dot. The stage was set to resemble a campsite outside of the scenic Monument Valley. Dressed as a state trooper, Tyler opened the show by cooking fried eggs inside his makeshift camper trailer, before ejecting himself through the wall. (He raps, he sings… he even does his own stunts!)

“You know what’s sick? I used to hate that n—!” said Tyler to the audience upon Glover’s departure, his timing as sharp as a stand-up comic’s. “I don’t know, I had to go to therapy to figure it out… I was in conflict with myself. Now the tables ave turned and this n— barely returns my calls… I love you, thank you for existing!”

Although rumors abounded of an Odd Future reunion — which could have implied a surprise appearance by Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt, Syd, or even Steve Lacy and others — it never materialized. Still, Tyler soldiered on with some Odd Future-era cuts, like “Tamale” and “IFHY” from 2013’s Wolf — taking a beat mid-way to snack on a sandwich — and even pulled 2009’s “Odd Toddlers” from the vault, a song he wrote when he was 16 years old. Tyler then ushered in “Uncle” Charlie Wilson to join him for a tender duet of his 2019 R&B hit, “Earfquake,” which incorporated glimmers of The Gap Band’s 1982 number, “Outstanding.”

Tyler wrapped his set just at the strike of one a.m., sending off Coachella with a bang — or several. If Tyler was going to headline Coachella, he was bound to leave thousands of festivalgoers laughing and scratching their heads in his wake.

Hip-hop star Tyler, The Creator, alt-rock act The Killers, country singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson and pop star Post Malone sit atop the bill for the 2024 Outside Lands festival.

Malone, who headlined Outside Lands in 2022, will be performing a country music set at this year’s event.

Other big-name acts in the lineup — which was announced today by co-producers Another Planet Entertainment and Superfly — include Slowdive, the Postal Service, Grace Jones, KAYTRANADA, Jungle, Snoh Aalegra, Gryffin, K.Flay, Young the Giant, ScHoolboy Q, Chappell Roan, Reneé Rapp, Victoria Monét and the Last Dinner Party.

Tickets for the three-day festival, which runs Aug. 9-11 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, go on sale at 10 a.m. April 24, sfoutsidelands.com .

Three-day passes start at $465. No information was available as to when (or if) single-day tickets would go on sale.
