Char Dham Yatra Registration Guide 2024

Char Dham registration is a compulsory document for those who are planning to visit Badrinath , Kedarnath , Gangotri , Yamunotri temples or Hemkund Sahib in Uttarakhand. 

The facility for getting the document of biometric registration is very easy to get. The government is providing both offline and online options for a pilgrimage to do char dham registration. Here is the detailed guide about how to do registration for Char Dham temples & Hemkund sahib online registration process.

Registration for Char Dham Yatra is Open Now!!

On Apirl 15, both online and offline registration for the Char Dham Yatra will begin. Pilgrims can also sign up through the state tourism department's mobile app. For general darshans, a token system may be implemented, and for special prayers (rudrabhishek), online registration will be required.

Can we do Char Dham registration online?

Yes, you can. There is no need to stand in long queues because chardham biometric facility is available online. Just visit the official website of char dham registration and follow the steps.

Mode of Verification Physically only at the shrine being visited through scanning of the "QR Code" on the allotted wrist bands or in the mobile app or downloaded "Yatra Registration Letter".

Step wise step guide to do Char Dham registration online

If you are facing any issue wile doing registration or if its your first time then you can follow this step wise step easy guide for a successful registration. Make sure you are filling the correct information about yourself. Registration is important to avail online darshan booking services. So here is the guide

Step 1: Go to https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/ Step 2: Get Char Dham information & Tourist Registration and Verification Process: Step 3: Click on Login/Register -  Registration through any of the below identity - Individual (Self) or -  Family (Self and Family) or -  Tour Operator Step 4: To create a new account, enter Full Name, Mobile No., Select Tour Operator/Individual/Family, Enter Password & Confirm Password, and then click on Sign Up button. Step 5: If you have already Signed Up earlier then, Sign In from the same page with entering Mobile Number, Password and Enter Captcha and click on Sign In Button 1 Step 6: After Sign In, you will see the Dashboard with your name on the left Step 7:  Now, create/manage tour by clicking on Create/Manage Tour Info. The Plan Your Trip Page will open Step 8:  Click on Add New Tour Step 9: Select Tour Type, add Tour Name, select Tour Duration (Date of Entering & Leaving into state) in Uttarakhand from date picker. Enter No. of Tourists (If there are 5 family members, who are coming to Uttarakhand then user has to enter 5 number in that field), Select Specific Date of Tour in front of the destination. Step 10:  Click on Save button Step 11:  Now, you will see the tour has been created Step 12: Add pilgrim under that tour. So, click on Add Pilgrim button now Step 13: You will see Registration of Tourist form now. Your destination will be displayed automatically. Here, user has to enter details who is going to travel to Uttarakhand. Step 14: Enter Full Name*, Enter Age*, Select Gender*, Email Address, Mobile number of Tourist* (To be carried during yatra), Country, Residential Address, City, District Name, Select State, Emergency Contact Person, Mobile Number and Relation (Who is not travelling with you) Contact Person Name, Emergency Contact Number, Contact Person Relation. Select if you are from below profession Tick Option (I am a Doctor), Mode of Travel for Dham (After entering into Uttarakhand State). Suppose if you are selecting Private car then enter Driver’s Name and Vehicle Number. Enter passport size photo, Select Identity proof and Upload that document. Step 15: If you want to add more tourists then you can click on Save & Next or else you can click on Finish button to complete the registration. Step 16: Then after user has to download Yatra Registration Letter in which a unique QR code will be displayed on that PDF, which user can see on the List of Pilgrims/Tourist screen. That tourist/pilgrim has to keep during the uttarakhand yatra. And also an SMS will be sent to the tourist from the system along with the unique ID. Step 17:  Tourist has to keep that Yatra Registration Letter or that received SMS on their mobile number during the Uttarakhand tour. Step 18:  Before the check-in of that destination, Yatrimitra will check that SMS or Yatra Registration Letter (QR code) for verification. Step 19:  Pilgrim will also get Yatri Certificate in their login after verification at Chardham Step 20:  For Safe Journey and assistance across the route in Uttarakhand, you can register through- registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in  And Mobile App – Tourist Care Uttarakhand (Downloadable from Google Play Store and App Store)

After the 2013 Uttarakhand floods, govt faced a lot of criticism for their preparedness for disaster management and instant flood and rain. Step1: - Click on Add/Manage Pilgrims or Tourist

Step2: - Click on Add New Pilgrim/Tourist

Step3: - Fill all the details.

Time taken on Online Registration is based on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of applicant’s trying to register at the same time etc. Therefore, if you are not able to get the pages for registration immediately, please retry after a gap of few minutes.

In case of doubt about the successful Registration, applicants are advised to visit the Page for Printing of Application, generate the Printout, and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the Application for future use.

In rare cases Candidates may get Zero (0) Registration No. with valid Password. Candidates are advised to Re-Register the Application and check the Printout through Print Application.

Prior to submission of the online application, please choose the 'EDIT' option to correct the details. Please remember to take fresh print out after modifying any details.

Necessary documents before registration are Aadhar card, Voter ID, Driving license, Passport, mobile/ phone number.

No, there is no fee for registration for Char Dham.

Yes, people aged (10-65years) can do registration for the Char Dham Yatra.

Yes, it is mandatory.

Yes, if you are travelling by your Personal/ Public vehicle then you must upload all the details of your vehicle.

You can register ourselves for Char Dham Yatra after the announcement of the commencement of the Yatra dates.

Yes, it is available at an extra cost.

The last date of Char Dham Yatra Online Registration is a few days before the end dates of Yatra. However, offline registration can be done on the spot till the last day of the yatra.

If you forget to register yourself before starting the journey, you can also do registration during travelling through UTDB portal or you can also visit to the registration centers.

Kedarnath Yatra Registration for 2024

How to register for Kedarnath Dham Yatra Online 2024

1- Go to UTDB’s online platform.

•   Pilgrims begin the registration process by accessing the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) registration website.
• You can register yourself online via this website.                ( https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/ ).

2- Click on “Register!”

• On the portal, users click the “Register!” button to start the registration process.

3- Navigate to the “Kedarnath Yatra” Section

• In the portal, click the “Kedarnath Yatra” section. Click on the “Registration” tab and choose “New Registration”.

4- Visit the UTDB Registration portal.

• Pilgrims begin the registration process by logging into the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) registration website.
• If you are interested, you can simply go through this web to register.( https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/ ).

5- Click on “Register!”

• After landing there, users hit “Register!” to initiate the registration.

6- Navigate to the Kedarnath Yatra” Section

• In the portal, you can click on the “Kedarnath Yatra” section. Tap on the “Registration” button and then click “New Registration.”

7- Confirmation Email

• After the registration is made, a special registration number will be immediately sent to the pilgrim by e-mail.

8- Print Confirmation Email

• The pilgrims have to print out the confirmation mail and pass it along with them to the assigned base camp (Rishikesh/Gaurikund).

Offline Registration Procedure for Kedarnath Dham Yatra 2024

Visit these Offline registration centers available at various locations in Uttarakhand. Pilgrims may also choose the conventional registration method if they do not intend to make use of the online platform or if internet access is inadequate.

Registration Centers

• Pilgrims proceed with their registration from the delegated arrangement centers that are located at the Haridwar Railway Station, Rahi Hotel in Haridwar, Roadways Bus Stand in Rishikesh, Hemkund Gurudwara, Guptkashi Bus Stand, Gaurikund, Sonprayag, and Kedarnath.

Fill Out Forms

• At the registration centers, pilgrims fill in forms and give the required documents.

Receive Yatra Pass

• After registration, the pilgrims get a yatra pass which is mandatory for the pilgrimage.

Early Registration

• To avoid the rush at the last minute, it is advisable to register in advance at these offline centers.

Kedarnath Dham Temple Registration through Mobile App/WhatsApp

You can also register for Kedarnath Dham Temple through the Uttarakhand Tourist Care mobile app which can be easily downloaded from the Google Play Store/ Apple App Store. In WhatsApp, pilgrims need to type ‘Yatra’ and send it to 8394833833. Your registration process will start.

Kedarnath Dham Temple registration Verification 2024

If you have done your Kedarnath Dham or Char Dham registration at the tourist portal, you will get a QR Code or Yatra Registration letter. This QR Code or Yatra Registration letter will be checked at the temple, char Dham route , or verification counter as well.

Q- 1 : Is every visitor bound to register for Kedarnath Yatra? Ans : Yatra registration is compulsory for all visitors, both the children and the elderly.

For the benefit of the pilgrims who have pre-booked hotel reservations for Chardham yatra and Hoteliers having hotels on Chardham (Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath and Hemkunt Saheb) yatra route, and are unable to get yatra registration for the same dates through Web portal or Mobile app, are advised to give a call on the toll-free number.

Uttarakhand tourism to issue tokens for darshan during Chardham Yatra

Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council will issue tokens for darshan during the Chardham Yatra to reduce long queues for pilgrims visiting Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri Dham. The issuance of tokens for darshan during the Chardham Yatra is a welcome initiative that will help alleviate the difficulties faced by pilgrims and tourists.
