Educational travel in Finland

Finland as an educational travel destination

Why choose finland.

Finland differs from many other high-ranking PISA countries by having comparatively short school days, little focus on homework and exams as well as emphasis on self-direction and critical thinking. This is reflected on the satisfaction of the Finnish pupils – they stand out from their peers in terms of how happy they feel with their own lives. According to PISA 2018 , Finland is the only country to score high in both academic performance and life satisfaction. No wonder Finland has been selected as the happiest nation in the world already six times in a row!

Equality is one of the key cornerstones of the Finnish education system. This means equal opportunities for schooling and individual support when needed. The philosophy of continuous learning throughout life is also one of the guiding principles of the Finnish education system. The digital revolution is changing education and future professions, highlighting the importance of continuously learning new skills.

Finland is also one of the pioneers of sustainable development and the theme is reflected in the national curriculum. Many educational travel operators provide sustainability themed school camps and study tours.

Satisfied, successful students

Finland has been one of the top ranking PISA countries throughout the 2000s. Finnish students rank in the top 5 of OECD countries in reading literacy, science literacy, and financial literacy. Students have more emphasis on self-direction and critical thinking than homework and exams, which is reflected on their satisfaction. Finnish pupils stand out from their peers in terms of how happy they feel with their own lives.

Equality for all

Education is a key element of the Finnish welfare society. Finland has an educational system that offers equal educational opportunities for all and is free of charge from pre-primary to higher education.

Happiest country

The World Happiness Report, by the UN, has ranked Finland as the happiest nation in thw world six times in a row (2023).

Educational camps and study tours for youngsters

School camps, study tours, and sister school visits combine educational content with leisure travel. The interest towards immersive learning in a Finnish school together with local pupils has increased rapidly. Finland offers educational camps with focus on STEAM subjects, English language, coding & robotics, music & arts, nature activities, sustainability… you name it!

The camp and study tour programs in Finland support the learning of the 21st century skills including problem solving, creativity, teamwork and sharing know-how – all based on the Finnish curriculum. Teaching methods include adventure education and phenomenon-based learning.

The activities are mainly carried out outdoors and in clean nature both in summer and winter times. Finnish forests and nature provide the best learning environment for all students helping to recover from the effects of stress and everyday worries.

Finland has a number of educational camp and study tour organizers that are happy assist you in designing a memorable experience for your young customers. Many of them also provide professional study tours.

Sustainability in educational travel

Finland is one of the pioneers of sustainable development and the theme is also one of the key corner stones of the national curriculum. This makes it an interesting topic for school camps and study trips to Finland. Here are a few ideas how to include it as a main educational theme for the guests:

In 2015, the member countries of the UN agreed upon a programme for sustainability development (Agenda 2030), and 17 detailed Sustainable Development Goals . Finland has been one of the first countries to implement the programme, with local focus themes “Carbon-neutral and resource-wise Finland”, and “Non-discriminating, equal and highly skilled Finland”. This can provides further content for the visit.

You can make the sustainability principles visible and tangible for your guests by talking about them throughout the duration of their visit. Pinpoint examples during different parts of the visit to show how sustainability is an everyday topic made up of small, individual tasks of recycling, saving water and energy, bringing back your own garbage from the forest, respecting the learning of the local school community etc.

During a city sightseeing tour, you can introduce climate actions and local practical initiatives undertaken by the city.

Educational opportunities outside the school building

Increasingly, Finnish educational professionals and cultural institutions are developing programmes for learning outside school. For example, public and private institutions, nature centres, science centres, museums and sports institutes offer the same programmes in English for foreign guests that Finnish pupils also enjoy during local school camps. Moreover, some internationally-oriented Finnish teachers have created specific programmes, to provide authentic learning opportunities.

Examples for study themes offered by museums, sports institutes, science centres, youth centres, and nature centres include:

Coding, digital fabrication, robotics

Film making

Finnish history and lifestyle

Geological and biological diversity

Innovation skills and STEAM

Nature as a learning environment

Social and life skills

Physical training and education

Sustainability, environmental education and circular economy

A Rare State Visit to NC State

Japan’s prime minister, Fumio Kishida, will come to NC State’s Centennial Campus on Friday, the first campus visit by a foreign head of government since 1954.

The American and Japanese flags blow in the wind on a line next to a brick building on campus

When Stephen Sumner (Industrial Engineering ’96) was randomly paired with a Japanese exchange student in an advanced biology class during his senior year at Dobson’s Surry Central High School, he had no clue just how much that chance encounter would change the trajectory of his life and professional career.

Now, as the director of the North Carolina Japan Center, Sumner and NC State leadership, including Chancellor Randy Woodson, will greet Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan, the first foreign head of government to officially visit NC State’s campus in nearly 70 years.

Kishida, his wife, Japanese ambassador Shigeo Yamada, Gov. Roy Cooper and General Consul Mio Maeda will make two stops on their 90-minute visit to Centennial Campus, where they will engage with students from Raleigh’s Exploris Middle School, NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke, as well as adult community learners from the Japan Center.

Japan's prime minister Fumio Kishida gives a press conference in front of a Japanese flag.

“The Japan Center is the key focal point for North Carolina-Japan relations here in the state,” says Sumner, who took over the position of the 44-year-old center last September. “This is a great opportunity to push us back up to the forefront of activity here in North Carolina, as it relates to Japan. Get us back on people’s radar and remind people of the 40-year legacy, soon to be 45.”

On Monday, Kishida began his seven-day visit to the United States, the first by a Japanese prime minister in nine years. He had a White House summit with President Joe Biden on Wednesday and addressed a joint session of Congress on Thursday.

He will travel to North Carolina’s Triad region early Friday morning to visit a HondaJet manufacturing facility in Greensboro and the Toyota Battery Manufacturing NC facility in Liberty. After a state luncheon with Cooper at the governor’s mansion in downtown Raleigh, the Japanese delegation will make two stops on Centennial Campus, first at the Nagoya University Global Campus at Partners I, then at the Japan Center, located in the Spring Hill House on the Dix Park side of Centennial Boulevard.

While here, Kishida will meet with six Japanese students studying at NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke at the Nagoya offices, then 10 Raleigh middle school students who just returned from a trip to Japan. Three NC State and two UNC-Charlotte students will be presented with the Order of the Dogwood prize for their statewide academic excellence related to Japanese studies. Finally, five of the 130 students who are taking continuing education classes at the Japan Center will greet the delegation.

“I hope by showing the impact we have on the educational opportunities for students of all ages through research and technology, this state visit will open more doors for partnerships for public and private companies that benefit both Japan and the state of North Carolina,” says Woodson. “Our longstanding partnership with Nagoya University is a prime example of that.”

The visit has been in the works since February and was announced last week.

Longstanding Ties

NC State’s longstanding ties with Japan goes back to the 19th century, when Japanese-born Teisaku Sugishita became the first international graduate of the North Carolina College for Agriculture and Mechanic Arts in 1896.

Sugishita, a quarterback for A&M’s football team, is believed to be the first native of Japan to play college football in the U.S.

On July 11, 1980, following a state trade mission to Tokyo, Gov. James B. Hunt, Jr. (’56, ’59) and School of Humanities and Social Sciences dean Robert Tilman established the North Carolina Japan Center, naming 19 inaugural members to a faculty development program. Later that year, then-Chancellor Bruce Poulton visited Japan’s Nagoya University, establishing formal ties with the country’s fourth-largest university.

Nagoya has had a presence at NC State for more than 15 years and last year established the Nagoya Global Campus, offering dual-degree programs, large-scale student exchanges, joint faculty research with industry partners and global internships for students from both institutions.

In the four-and-a-half decades since, the center has been instrumental in developing public and private partnerships around the state, beginning with Raleigh’s $37 million Ajinomoto-USA plant that produced amino acids for the pharmaceutical industry.

Through the years, scores of Japanese manufacturing, technology and pharmaceutical companies have established a foothold in North Carolina’s economy, including the HondaJet and Toyota battery sites in the central part of the state. FUJIFILM Diosynth has maintained a partnership with NC State’s Golden LEAF Biotechnology Training and Education Center (BTEC) for more than a decade and is a strategic partner in the company’s $2 billion manufacturing facility that will open next year in Holly Springs.

A Full Circle Event

For Sumner, the state visit will bring full circle to his relationship with Japan, going back to his advanced biology class with exchange student Susumu Akutagawa. While Sumner departed for NC State and Akutagawa returned to Japan after graduation, they remained close.

Sumner began taking Japanese language classes as a freshman at NC State, even though he had no experience with it.

“I had taken four years of Spanish in high school and I have a good understanding of languages,” he says. “When I got to NC State, I figured if my friend can learn English, I should be able to learn Japanese.”

Stephen Sumner

Sumner made his first trip to Japan with a scholarship from the Japan Center in the summer of 1993 and served two internships there while a student.

He spent 14 of his 19 years with American company Entegris working in Japan, where he was a co-worker of Akutagawa’s sister, then returned to the U.S. in 2020 to pursue a new career in higher education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas until he was named the Japan Center’s seventh director last fall.

Six months after his first day on the job, he received a call from the consulate general in Atlanta asking if NC State would like to host the prime minister.

“I nearly dropped the phone,” he says.

The last month has been filled with a half dozen visits by Japanese advance teams, security personnel and internal planners. Sumner has not been allowed to share the news of the visit with his friends in either country.

“After Friday, you can be sure all of my friends will hear from me,” Sumner says.

A Rare State Visit

Throughout its history, NC State has hosted a multitude of U.S. leaders in both campaign and policy events. Lyndon B. Johnson was the first sitting president to visit campus, while supporting the passage of the Civil Rights Act in 1964. Ronald Reagan gave a tax policy speech at Reynolds Coliseum in 1985, and George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama all visited campus during their administrations.

However, this is the first visit to campus by a foreign head of government since Turkish president Celal Bayar spent two days in North Carolina on Feb. 25 and 26, 1954, while on a 24-day visit across the United States.

During that visit, Bayar visited all three campuses of the Research Triangle Park partners, touring NC State’s on-campus research nuclear reactor and the School of Textiles. He also visited the Morehead Planetarium in Chapel Hill and the Liggett & Myers cigarette manufacturing facility in Durham, where he stayed overnight on Duke’s campus.

While at NC State, Bayar was entertained by the school’s Army ROTC Pershing Rifles unit, the drum and bugle corps and the Air Force ROTC drill team. He then left to explore eastern North Carolina tobacco fields in Rocky Mount, seeing NC State agricultural research in action.

Kishida’s visit will be much more focused on manufacturing partnerships and development, but it will again showcase the work NC State has done to broaden North Carolina’s economy.

Master’s degree programs at the Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing are once again the best in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report’s 2024-2025 ranking of graduate schools.

The school’s Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Master of Nursing (MN) programs claimed the No. 1 spot for the second consecutive year, and its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program retained its No. 6 standing from 2023. Last September,   U.S. News   ranked the school’s undergraduate programs No. 3 nationwide.

“It takes a team to achieve this level of excellence in consecutive years, and I’m grateful to our school community for the work that has brought us to this place,” says Dean Linda McCauley, PhD, RN, FAAN, FRCN. “While the rankings are gratifying, what they represent in terms of student preparation, research excellence, and clinical expertise is the most rewarding. We intend to keep raising the bar for our students, the nursing profession, and the patients and communities who benefit from our efforts.”

Multiple graduate specialties at the School of Nursing were also ranked nationally, including:

  • DNP Gerontology-Primary Care – No. 3
  • MSN Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner – No. 3
  • DNP Gerontology-Acute Care – No. 4
  • MSN Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – No. 4
  • MSN Family Nurse Practitioner – No. 4
  • DNP Family Nurse Practitioner – No. 5

All specialties rose or maintained their ranking from last year, with the DNP gerontology-primary care program rising to No. 3 from No. 6.

The school’s rankings reflect tremendous growth, with enrollment increasing by 38% and total research funding growing from $12.8 million to $32.3 million over the past five years. The school has been in the top five among all nursing schools in National Institutes of Health grant funding for nine consecutive years and has amassed more than $8.6 million in Health Resources and Services Administration community partnership grants.

U.S. News assesses both nursing master’s programs and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs on their research activity, faculty resources, student excellence, and qualitative ratings from experts. Information on their ranking methodology can be found  here .

  • upon express reinstatement by the Licensor.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, the Licensor may also offer the Licensed Material under separate terms or conditions or stop distributing the Licensed Material at any time; however, doing so will not terminate this Public License.
  • Sections   1 ,   5 ,   6 ,   7 , and   8   survive termination of this Public License.

Section 7 – Other Terms and Conditions.

  • The Licensor shall not be bound by any additional or different terms or conditions communicated by You unless expressly agreed.
  • Any arrangements, understandings, or agreements regarding the Licensed Material not stated herein are separate from and independent of the terms and conditions of this Public License.

Section 8 – Interpretation.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, this Public License does not, and shall not be interpreted to, reduce, limit, restrict, or impose conditions on any use of the Licensed Material that could lawfully be made without permission under this Public License.
  • To the extent possible, if any provision of this Public License is deemed unenforceable, it shall be automatically reformed to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. If the provision cannot be reformed, it shall be severed from this Public License without affecting the enforceability of the remaining terms and conditions.
  • No term or condition of this Public License will be waived and no failure to comply consented to unless expressly agreed to by the Licensor.
  • Nothing in this Public License constitutes or may be interpreted as a limitation upon, or waiver of, any privileges and immunities that apply to the Licensor or You, including from the legal processes of any jurisdiction or authority.

‘A Different World’ Hits the Road to Help Historically Black Colleges

The beloved series was set at a fictional historically Black university. Now, cast members have reunited to visit and support real-life schools.

Six people sit on sofas posing for a photo with buildings behind them

By Leigh-Ann Jackson

Picture a pampered socialite ostentatiously putting her generational wealth on display. Or an outspoken teenage activist leading a climate change protest. Or a charismatic opportunist luring people into his latest scam.

These descriptions apply equally to characters from “A Different World” — a sitcom that ran from 1987 to 1993 — and to today’s social media influencers. So it’s little wonder that the show, which streams on Amazon and Max, resonates with Gen Z.

The series began as a spinoff of “The Cosby Show” centered on Denise Huxtable (Lisa Bonet), and it became a hit in its own right .

“A Different World” broke ground by giving high visibility to an ensemble of aspirational Black young adults, following an eclectic cross-section of coeds attending Hillman College, a fictional historically Black university. There they dealt with typical collegiate growing pains — studying, partying, falling in love and stumbling into adulthood — and also with more serious subject matter, including racism, domestic abuse, gun violence, homelessness and mental health struggles.

“These things mattered, and these are issues which are still relevant today,” said Darryl M. Bell, who played the Hillman huckster Ron Johnson.

Now, more than three decades after the series finale, Bell and other core cast members, including Charnele Brown, Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Dawnn Lewis, Cree Summer and Glynn Turman, have reunited for a campus tour of historically Black colleges and universities . Their mission is to raise awareness and enrollment for such institutions, to establish a “Different World” scholarship fund and, of course, to give newer, younger fans a chance to see their parents’ hand-me-down TV idols in person.

“The kids can watch it on their phones,” said Hardison, who played Dwayne Wayne, a gawky math whiz turned professor. “They can really tap in anywhere — that has given us a whole different life with it.” The show premiered 37 years ago, he noted, “so to think that it’s still doing good work is a bit of a dream.”

Bell said, “There’s nothing new under the sun: Everything has its cycle, and it comes back and you find it’s new again.” (That sentiment certainly holds true for many of the show’s wardrobe staples, like oversize blazers, baggy denim overalls and bomber jackets, all of which are back in style.)

The spark for the tour came in 2016, when several cast members made an appearance at Norfolk State University in Virginia. In the years that followed, Bell courted potential backers to fund a full-fledged college tour. (Guy, who played Whitley Gilbert, the show’s resident diva, playfully calls Bell the “office manager” of the group.)

Getting the stars on board was relatively easy. “This is family,” Summer said. “The majority of us hang out on purpose .” Teaming up with Cisco and Wells Fargo, and the nonprofits Student Freedom Initiative and Minds Matter , Bell lined up six tour stops this year at schools like Spelman College in Atlanta, Howard University in Washington, D.C., and, later this fall in Alabama, Tuskegee University and Alabama State University; he hopes to schedule 10 more visits in 2025. The events are free for students, faculty and alumni, and Bell said the group is considering opening some events to the public because of demand.

Jaden Jackson, a senior at Tuskegee, has seen every episode of “A Different World” and recently started rewatching them, inspired by the tour announcement. “It’s a classic,” she said. “It’s a show I’ll never get tired of.”

“When people think of H.B.C.U.s, they already have a picture of the type of people who go there,” she said. “But it’s such a diverse group of people, and the show does a good job of encapsulating that.” She has a particular affinity for Summer’s free-spirited character, Freddie: “To see someone like me onscreen — who acted like me, who I would often be compared to — that really appealed to me and made me excited to go to my H.B.C.U.”

The tour kicked off in Atlanta on Feb. 29, with cast members giving talks at Spelman, Clark Atlanta University and Morehouse College. Instagram posts from the events show crowds giving standing ovations, snapping cellphone photos and, at Clark Atlanta, greeting the cast with a marching band performance.

“The Spelman panel that we did at Sisters Chapel was off the chain,” Guy said. “I was shocked at their excitement, their verve and their vigor. I kept looking at everybody like, ‘Yo! They are treating us like rock stars or something. What is going on here?’”

Hardison likened the reception to an experience he had while accompanying his friend Lenny Kravitz on a concert tour of Japan in the late 1990s. “It took me back to when he went out onstage and the Japanese kids were screaming,” he said.

The Spelman chapel, which holds 1,000, was at capacity during the event, according to a spokeswoman. Helene D. Gayle, the president of Spelman, moderated a talk with the actors and a Q. and A. session afterward.

“When I first took on the role of president of Spelman, people would ask me, ‘What’s it like? How do you feel?’” Gayle said in an interview. “And I’d say, ‘Well, I feel like I am on the set of “A Different World” every day.’”

She said many of the students had heard of the show from older relatives and had watched it on streaming platforms. Adrian Crick, a Spelman freshman, said audience members were well versed in Hillman lore. One student serenaded the cast with her own version of the theme song.

“I hadn’t watched the show, but my mom said it’s an important cultural touchstone for Black people,” Crick said. “The level of production that Spelman, Morehouse and Clark put on for them indicated to me this is something to pay attention to, this is kind of historic .”

When the tour visited Howard last week, the campus was abuzz with “Hillman at Howard Day” activities, including step performances by fraternities and sororities and a fashion show in which students dressed as their favorite characters. (There were, of course, multiple pairs of flip-top sunglasses, Dwayne Wayne’s signature accessory.)

An estimated 1,400 attendees were at the main event at the school’s Cramton Auditorium, with many screaming and waving cardboard cutouts of the characters as the actors took the stage. Kim Coles, a star of “Living Single,” moderated a panel that included appearances by Karen Malina White, who appeared in the final season of “A Different World” (and was Miss Howard 1985), and by the “Cosby Show” actress Tempestt Bledsoe, who is Bell’s partner.

Sinbad chimed in via video and so did Debbie Allen, a Howard alumna who overhauled the series in its second season. Allen told the audience that “A Different World” mirrored her own college experiences and described the show as a vital voice for young Black America.

While the cast members were in Washington, they visited the White House to meet with Vice President Kamala Harris and appear in a video promoting the Biden administration’s student loan debt relief efforts .

Summer, who grew up in Canada, was unfamiliar with predominantly Black campuses before joining the cast at 18. She said getting the Hillman experience was the next best thing and now considers herself a champion of the schools.

“There’s a reason we’re on tour right now,” she said, noting that it was imperative to remind people that an H.B.C.U. “is an incredible place to get an education and an incredible place to secure and dive deeper into our culture.”

Gayle, the Spelman president, said that the Supreme Court’s 2023 affirmative action decision , which barred race-conscious college admissions policies, had made H.B.C.U.s even more indispensable.

“We’re at this moment where I think what we provide young people is perhaps more important than ever,” she said. “I hope that the tour can be part of that, as well — showing young Black people and their communities how important it is to be grounded in institutions that value them, that reflect who they are and reflect the excellence that is resonant within the African American community.”

Participating in our teacher training programme provides teachers with a multifaceted opportunity for professional growth, personal development, international collaboration, and enhancement of teaching practices. It aligns with the global shift towards a more interconnected, multicultural, and digital world, preparing teachers for the future challenges and opportunities in education. Our courses are designed to meet the criteria for Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1) training, making them suitable for participants within the Erasmus+ Programme. However, an Erasmus+ scholarship is not a prerequisite to join, making our courses accessible to educators worldwide!

We recognize the challenges faced by teachers and provide an extensive selection of courses to address their needs. Our courses accentuate important topics such as STEAM studies, meaningful utilization of digital tools, future skills, sustainable development, and supporting students’ well-being and mental health. Teachers are always looking for new ways to improve their teaching, and we want to provide concrete methods and tools instead of theory. All our courses include at least one visit to a Finnish education institute. Depending on the program and learning objectives, visits can range from kindergartens to universities. During these visits, participants can observe Finnish teachers in action, learn how they apply the Finnish national curriculum, and witness innovative methods firsthand.

Kenya biosafety regulators visit confined field trial of late blight resistant potato.

visit edu finland

A consultation of stakeholders including members of the Kenyan National Biosafety Authority recently visited on going field trials of the 3R-gene late blight resistant potato in Kenya.

Led by the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) and the International Potato Centre (CIP) the field trials are collecting data on the potato which is estimated to reduce fungicide application by 90% as it is fully resistant to late blight disease. Late blight is the most serious of all potato diseases and can completely destroy an entire crop in weeks.

The biosafety regulators expressed satisfaction on their observance of the trial as it relates to compliance and management. To learn more hear from Dr. Roy Mugira in this short video .

The Introduction to Corrections (HSJ 215) class at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently received a real-world glimpse into the corrections system, courtesy of Allyson Davenport, a drug and alcohol treatment specialist II at the State Correctional Institution at Muncy, a medium/maximum security facility for adult females. Davenport shared her experiences and expertise with an attentive audience in the human services & restorative justice lab.

"The real-life application of the knowledge, values and skills we teach in the classroom is a rewarding experience for the students to see,” said Sue M. Alberti, instructor of human services and restorative justice. “Ms. Davenport was able to address the treatment aspect of SCI Muncy's efforts in addressing the drug and alcohol problems within the inmates of the PA Department of Corrections. She gave our students an overview of the Therapeutic Community behind the fence; it is a true creative art form to be able to balance the much-needed treatment with the intense need for supervision and accountability. The human services & restorative justice faculty are very proud of our community partnerships that facilitate internships and subsequent employment. The students' hard work is always showcased."

HSJ 215 provides an overview of correctional practices and policies in the corrections system. Emphasis is placed on historic processes and the more progressive thinking utilized today. The class examines the vital role corrections plays in the criminal justice system.

Penn College offers Bachelor of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees in human services & restorative justice .

In March, Liberty University’s School of Behavioral Sciences received the maximum of eight additional years of accreditation for all five of its graduate counseling programs through the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs  (CACREP): M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling , (both online and residential formats), M.A. in Marriage, Couple & Family Counseling (residential), M.Ed. in School Counseling (online), and Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision (online).

Additionally in March, Liberty’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program received an eight-year accreditation of its own from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Achieving full accreditation is a significant achievement with great benefits to MSW students, serving as a testimony to the high quality of the program and enabling students to obtain future licensure as Licensed Master Social Workers and/or Licensed Clinical Social Workers. The B.S. in Social Work, offered both residentially  and  online , received an eight-year accreditation by CSWE last year.

“These accreditations are the national gold standard of quality for these programs, and we look forward to the way this will facilitate our students serving as Champions for Christ in these fields,” said Dr. Kenyon Knapp, dean of the School of Behavioral Sciences. “I am so grateful for the hard work and dedication of our counseling and social work faculty. Although the entire departments were involved, special recognition should go out to the CACREP Liaison team of Dr. David Brown, Dr. Shannan Shiderly, and Dr. Patricia Kimball, as well as to Dr. Christine Fulmer for writing the CSWE self-study and (Department of Social Work chair) Cheryl Nitz for her leadership and coordination.”
