20 Best Things to Do in St. Augustine, Florida

Here's how locals recommend exploring the coastal city, from ghost tours to gourmet ice pops.

With more than 450 years of history, it's not surprising that St. Augustine — the oldest continuously occupied settlement in America — is packed with intrigue. This coastal city is one of the best places to visit in Florida, thanks to all the fascinating things to do and see here, plus quaint places to stay and delicious eats to enjoy. If there’s anyone who knows the best things to do in St. Augustine, it’s Barbara Golden, who has served as communications manager at the St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau since 2005. “I’ve been lucky enough to work in the tourism industry in the St. Augustine area for more than 40 years,” Golden says. “I get to explore and interact with great people and experiences here every day.”

Of course, the city has other superfans, too, like Florida travel and lifestyle blogger Mandy Mizell, who's known as The Flohemian to her followers. “I first visited St. Augustine on my fourth-grade field trip — a Floridian rite of passage — and fell in love,” Mizell says. “I told my mom at the tender age of 10 that I was going to Flagler College, which I did for a year. When I met my husband, a Flagler College alum, I started visiting the area three to four times per year and spending every Christmas there with his family. I began a Florida travel blog shortly after I met him, and I used our family visits as an opportunity to seek new adventures around St. Augustine.” Serving as your unofficial tour guides, here's what Golden and Mizell point to as the best things to do in St. Augustine, from classic, can’t-miss attractions to lesser-known locals’ picks.

Go for a ride with Old Town Trolley Tours.

Jeffrey Greenberg/Universal Images Group via Getty Images

It may be touristy, Mizell admits, but taking a ride with Old Town Trolley Tours is a great and easy way to get around St. Augustine, and you'll hear historical tidbits about the 458-year-old city as you go. Plus, Mizell points out, “It’s a free sober ride around town — and most of the local distilleries, wineries, and breweries offer free tastings. There’s also a connection to the Old Town Trolley Beach bus, so you can easily navigate the area without a car.”

Tour Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.

Alex Potemkin/Getty Images

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is a Spanish stone fortress that was built in 1695 and offers unbeatable views of St. Augustine Inlet. “I love to stand on the ramparts, looking out at the Atlantic Ocean,” Golden says. “I love to imagine what it was like living here in the 1600s, being on watch for approaching pirates or British invaders. Today, the views are of boats moored in the Bayfront, pods of dolphins swimming and playing in the bay, and kayakers paddling by. The rangers, reenactors, and storytellers here are engaging, and I learn something new about our history every time I visit.”

Mizell shares the same love for the landmark and recommends visiting after sundown. “The fort has a special energy at night, and it’s completely free of charge to wander the grounds outside after hours. The entire fort is illuminated, making for some fun night photos with palm tree shadows in the background. You’ll also overhear haunted tales as ghost tours pass through the area. Sit on the wall during a full moon and watch boats cruise along the Matanzas River.”

Cool down with a gourmet popsicle.

Courtesy of Hyppo Ice Pops

Everyone loves a home-grown success story, and The Hyppo is exactly that. Opened in 2010 with a little money and a lot of passion, this shop sells ice pops that are inspired by Mexican paletas, and they contain local, in-season produce and herbs in super-fresh flavor combinations like cucumber lemon mint, blackberry jasmine, pineapple ginger, and (this writer’s favorite) mango mojito. Today, there are five Hyppo locations around Florida, plus pop peddlers across the nation. The pop shop is named for the patron saint of Saint Augustine — the city was discovered on the day of the Feast of Saint Augustine of Hippo — and their flagship store location is on Hypolita Street.

Get spooked on a ghost tour.

It’s another touristy itinerary item, but ghost tours in St. Augustine are popular for a reason, and you simply can’t leave the city without taking one. From Old Town Trolley Tours’ Ghosts & Gravestones tour aboard their signature ghoulish trolleys to lantern-lit walking tours with Ghost Tours of St. Augustine , there are many to choose from, some more spooky than others. Expect to end the night fully freaked out after hearing tales of St. Augustine’s dark past and the hauntings that continue today.

Tour the St. Augustine Distillery and have a drink upstairs.

Courtesy of St. Augustine Distillery

The St. Augustine Distillery and upstairs Ice Plant Bar is a two-for-one stop. “No visit to the Oldest City is complete without embracing its true spirits,” Mizell says. “This local distillery is located inside the historic FPL Ice Plant. They offer free tours with complimentary tastings, which will get the light drinker quite tipsy. Be sure to visit the Ice Plant restaurant and bar upstairs for a cocktail, where each concoction is served with special types of ice.” There’s also a gift shop where you can purchase the distillery’s sippables, plus non-alcoholic treats that are often created in collaboration with other local businesses.

Visit St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum.

Dennis Macdonald/Getty Images

For a birds-eye take on the Oldest City, head to St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum . “Climb 219 steps to the top for the most spectacular view of historic St. Augustine, the surrounding area, and the Atlantic Ocean,” Golden recommends. “I also like touring the grounds to see the wooden boatworks and the local volunteers working to build authentic replica vessels. My favorite part is entering the archaeology lab to observe maritime archeologists working to identify and restore some of the treasures they find on wrecks off our coast — most hundreds of years old.”

Relax at the beach.

Cyndi Monaghan/Getty Images

While the main appeal of St. Augustine is certainly its winding cobblestone streets and centuries-old Spanish colonial architecture, its beaches are also worth a visit. Nearby St. Augustine Beach is a popular choice, while the white sands of tranquil Crescent Beach and breezy Butler Beach are perfect places to unwind.

Dine at The Floridian Restaurant.

For full-fledged, Florida-style dining with a Southern twang, chow down at The Floridian Restaurant . “Located on Spanish Street, this farm-to-table restaurant is adorned with quirky Florida decor, such as vintage rattan, alligator heads, and Florida kitsch,” Mizell shares. “The native Floridian chef composed a menu sourcing local ingredients with dishes that pay homage to all the flavors that influence St. Augustine. It's predominantly upscale Southern fare with local recipes passed down over generations.”

Plan a wintertime visit to experience Nights of Lights.

Diane Macdonald/Getty Images

There’s no bad time of year to visit St. Augustine, but some visitors make annual pilgrimages from mid-November to the end of January to witness Nights of Lights , one of the top holiday light displays in the world. Decked in millions of tiny white lights, the city glows with a warm and festive atmosphere that’s breathtaking to see, and the spectacle is completely free to enjoy.

Watch a show at St. Augustine Amphitheatre.

Located on Anastasia Island, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre is an outdoor amphitheater that seats up to 4,000 people, making it a great place to catch some of your favorite acts. Mizell also recommends going on a Saturday morning, when you can browse a farmers’ market full of local vendors selling produce, art, and prepared foods. “There’s always live music, and it gives you a real glimpse of the local life and flavors of St. Augustine,” Mizell says. “Oftentimes there’s a featured local artist or author that you can chat with and learn lore about the Oldest City.”

Zipline over crocodiles.

Courtesy of The Alligator Farm

Alligators and Florida go together like beaches and sunshine, and the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is a great place for an up-close (but safe) encounter, plus educational programming. “My favorite experience is the Crocodile Crossing, a zipline and ropes course over the crocs and gators,” Golden shares. “It’s a workout and a fun way to see the park’s inhabitants.” Another favorite is the rookery, where hundreds of wading birds nest each year between February and June. “The sight is amazing,” Golden adds. “If you love birding, this is the spot — roseate spoonbills, egrets, herons of all kinds, and more can be seen here.”

Try local chocolate.

  • If you have a sweet tooth, Golden recommends touring the Whetstone Chocolates factory . “Free samples come with this tour that tells the story of chocolate (one of my favorite things in life), including the Spaniards introducing it to the rest of the world, how artisan chocolates are made, and the right way to eat fine chocolate,” she shares.

Stroll Magnolia Avenue.

Dr_Verner/Getty Images

Contrary to what its name suggests, Magnolia Avenue is lined not with blooming magnolias but with the second-most Southern of trees: “This scenic street is shaded by live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss, and it's one of the most photographed streets in America,” Mizell says. “It also has a great photo opportunity in front of the Fountain of Youth sign.” Directly across the street, grab a freshly squeezed lemonade from The Fountain of Juice to enjoy as you walk.

Take a scenic drive.

Hit the road for a 72-mile coastal drive along the A1A Scenic & Historic Coastal Byway from Ponte Vedra Beach to Flagler Beach. “I like to pack a picnic and head down to the spectacular beaches at Matanzas Inlet, then take the ferry over to our other fort, Fort Matanzas ,” Golden shares. “Paddle the inland waters with Ripple Effect EcoTours to see dolphins and other native animals in their natural habitat, followed by a visit to Marineland Dolphin Adventure to take a deeper dive into the aquatic life here, and — my very favorite — swim with a dolphin and learn to speak their language.”

Get out on the water.

Paulbr/Getty Images

Kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and sailing are great ways to get another perspective on St. Augustine. “I feel safest with minimal boat traffic, paddling in front of the Castillo de San Marcos, on Salt Run, or at Matanzas Inlet,” Golden shares. She also recommends sailing charters for all the salty fun with none of the work. “One of my favorites is St. Augustine Sailing for a sunset sail — makes me feel like I am in a Christopher Cross song. They also have some really fun themed sails — brunch, Magic on the High Seas, and dinner cruises with a private chef.”

Visit Ponte Vedra Beach.

Norm Lane/Getty Images

Don’t forget about Ponte Vedra Beach — a luxury resort town with beaches, golf, and nature preserves just north of St. Augustine. “The beaches at Ponte Vedra are very unique, and between St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra sits the GTM NERR ; we refer to it as the GTM Reserve,” says Golden. “This is the coastal site where Ponce de Leon actually sighted land on April 2, 1513, and came ashore the following day and claimed all of Florida for Spain. There’s even a statue of Ponce de Leon at the north beach parking area. The sand dunes here tower over the coquina beaches; in fact, they are 40 feet high in some places — the highest dunes in Florida. It’s also a great place to hunt for fossilized shark’s teeth .”

Take a nighttime bioluminescent kayaking tour.

Want to get out on the water, no SPF required? “One of my other favorite activities at the GTM Reserve is a night paddle with Geo Trippin ,” Golden shares. “They take guests out on Guana Lake, where they paddle into the night to see the bioluminescent jelly combs. It’s like magic to see the sparkles that light up around your paddle in the water, and your guide will explain the existence of this natural phenomenon since the beginning of man and its importance to our environment. Unlike other places where biolumes are a seasonal occurrence, they are present year-round on Guana Lake.”

Book a food tour.

The food scene in St. Augustine has exploded in recent years, with eateries dedicated not only to the latest food trends but also to showcasing locals’ culinary heritage, from Greek, Menorcan, and Latin influences to down-home Southern cooking. “It’s hard to eat at all the great restaurants here, so I like to taste a few at a time on one of our city’s food tours ,” Golden says. “They change featured restaurants (usually three to four on each tour) and the chef or a manager comes to the table to talk about what’s so special at their restaurant.”

Groove at Colonial Oak Music Park.

According to Mizell, one of the hidden treasures of historic St. George Street is Colonial Oak Music Park , where you can “listen to live local music under a 300-year-old oak tree streamed with lantern lights.” What could be better? The one-of-a-kind venue also has improv comedy nights, where you can sit back and enjoy a laugh or become part of the show as an audience volunteer. “In September, the Colonial Oak hosts artists during St. Augustine’s annual Sing Out Loud Festival and features national music acts,” she adds. “The best news is that most events have free admission, so you can pop in for a song or hang out for the whole evening.”

Visit Anastasia State Park.

cturtletrax/Getty Images

Located less than 10 minutes by car from historic downtown St. Augustine, the serene Anastasia State Park has 1,600 acres of beaches, tidal marshes, maritime hammocks, and ancient sand dunes, where visitors can swim, fish, canoe, kayak, hike, and even camp. The park also has a full calendar of events , from guided paddle adventures and bird walks to trail hikes and coffee with a park ranger. It’s a vacation within a vacation, right in the middle of everything.

Where to Eat

Where to stay, when to visit.

The Fountain of Youth is calling your name—just like it called to the Spanish colonizers more than 500 years ago. Maybe it's those gorgeous beaches, or maybe it is something in the water. Either way, there is lots to explore in this charming city on Florida's Atlantic coast. Check out this travel guide for St. Augustine before your next Florida trip.

What to Know About Florida's Historic Coast

Most people don't realize St. Augustine is the oldest continuously inhabited European settlement in the United States. (It was preceded by Puerto Rican colonies; Pensacola, which was destroyed in 1559; and Fort Caroline in Jacksonville, Florida, destroyed in 1565.) Ponce de León claimed "La Florida" for Spain in 1513, decades before the Jamestown colony of Virginia, and long before the Pilgrims arrived at Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts. Over the centuries, many cultures have called the city on Florida's Historic Coast home, including Native American, Spanish, British, French, and African.

Where to Find Historical Icons

Explore a historic fort.

One of the city's most architecturally significant structures, and also the oldest masonry fort in the country, the waterfront Castillo de San Marcos is truly a sight to behold. Built in the 17th century, the national monument is made of native coquina stones, which absorbed or deflected enemy projectiles, giving the Spanish an advantage. Climb to the top of the fort to see the incredible views of the city and waterfront.

Visit a Free-Slave Settlement

Just two miles north of Castillo de San Marcos, Fort Mose Historic State Park is the location of the first legally sanctioned free African settlement in North America. Sip From the Fountain of Youth

Take a sip from the legendary fountain at Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park , which tells about the birth of St. Augustine, as well as the Timucuan people who preceded the Spanish by thousands of years. Walk through the lushly landscaped park (dogs are also allowed) to sample water from the bubbling fountains. Stroll the 15 acres of waterfront while you're there.

Discover Flagler College's Historic Past

Fast forward to the early 20th century, when oil tycoon Henry Flagler developed St. Augustine into one of the country's first winter resort destinations. Paying homage to the city's past, the millionaire developer built the stunning Hotel Ponce de Leon (now Flagler College), with its opulent 80-foot domed ceiling and Spanish Renaissance architecture. In 1967, the hotel closed its doors, and the building opened as Flagler College in 1968. While the property is an active college campus, visitors can take a historic tour to learn about the architecture, stand in the domed grand lobby, and view 79 Tiffany windows in the dining room.

Where to Find the Best Beaches

Kick off your shoes on unspoiled beaches.

While Florida's Historic Coast is most famous for its storied past, leave plenty of time to kick back on the area's unspoiled beaches. Home to the popular St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier , St. Augustine Beach offers a large oceanfront pavilion, splash and play park, sand volleyball courts, and plenty of seaside restaurants like Salt Life Food Shack .

Get in Touch with Nature

Just north of St. Augustine Beach, Anastasia State Park is a pristine stretch of sand with abundant wildlife and natural tidal marshes. There's a coquina quarry where laborers mined stones to build the majestic Castillo de San Marcos and other historic structures downtown.

In northern St. Johns County, Ponte Vedra Beach is famous for its historic and luxurious resort town feel. It's also the site where, according to navigational records, Ponce de Leon first set foot on Florida sand. View the exact spot at the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve , with more than 76,000 acres of protected coastal dunes, tidal lagoons, and forests. Two crowd favorites equally famous for their water views and oyster bars are Meehan's Irish Pub & Seafood House in the heart of the historic district, and Cap's On The Water in Vilano Beach, which has killer sunset views of the Intracoastal Waterway to the west. And while the original restaurant succumbed to fire, the new building serves up the same great recipes right on the water.

Why Go To St. Augustine

No matter where you go in St. Augustine, odds are you'll stand face to face with American history. Founded by the Spaniards in 1565, this town in northeastern Florida is the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the U.S. Alongside narrow cobblestone streets and colonial architecture, you'll find Romanesque Revival-style buildings, many of which were designed by railroad and oil tycoon Henry Flagler, who played a key role in developing St. Augustine and the rest of Florida's east coast. With so much history, it should come as no surprise that St. Augustine also has a penchant for the paranormal: Many of the town's top attractions , which are believed to be haunted by Spanish settlers and original inhabitants, tout nighttime ghost tours .

Though the main draw here is the abundance of landmarks that date back to the Spanish occupation, the Ancient City also offers various boutiques, eateries, live music venues and art galleries. Travelers with children should check out the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum and the St. Augustine Wild Reserve . Art enthusiasts will appreciate the Lightner Museum 's eclectic collection, while shopaholics cannot pass up a chance to peruse the boutiques on St. George Street . And once you're ready to relax, grab your gear and head to the beach . As with many coastal Florida towns, St. Augustine offers prime access to the Atlantic Ocean and year-round sunshine.

St. Augustine Travel Tips

Best months to visit.

The best time to visit St. Augustine is between March and May. During this time, you'll find fewer people, comfortable temperatures and low hotel and airfare rates. Crowds are typically at their largest from June to August, while temperatures can drop into the 40s between December and February. You'll also enjoy favorable temperatures and score accommodation deals from September to November, though these months fall within the Atlantic hurricane season, which starts in June and lasts until the end of November.

What You Need to Know

Pack accordingly Like other historic American destinations, St. Augustine is filled with cobblestone streets, so plan to pack comfortable walking shoes. You'll also want to bring a light jacket if you visit during winter or sunscreen and an umbrella if your trip falls between June and November – the Atlantic hurricane season.

Bring an extra bag Whether you plan on buying a few items at the St. Augustine Premium Outlets or antiques and homemade souvenirs on St. George Street , you'll want space to store your goods.

Bed down in central St. Augustine If you want to stay near the bulk of St. Augustine's attractions, book a hotel in Old Town or the Spanish Quarter. Depending on where you hang your hat, you'll be within steps of St. George Street's shops and sights like the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum and the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument .

How to Save Money in St. Augustine

Book a trolley tour package For three days of trolley rides and access to popular attractions like the Old Jail , Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park and the Lightner Museum , purchase one of Old Town Trolley Tours ' sightseeing packages. You can save as much as around $10 per person, depending on the package you book.

Visit in the spring St. Augustine's peak season is from June to August. To avoid the summer season's high prices and crowds without sacrificing on weather, plan your visit between March and May.

Consider driving to and from the airport  Though you'll find it easy to get around St. Augustine on foot, via a trolley tour or by bus, the closest major airport – Jacksonville International Airport – sits more than 50 miles away. Since public transportation between St. Augustine and the airport is not available, renting a car on arrival and departure days will help you avoid high transportation costs.

What to Eat

St. Augustine sits by three rivers, a lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, so you'll find plenty of top-notch seafood served at the town's restaurants. Florida seafood specialties found on St. Augustine restaurant menus include grouper, shrimp and mahi-mahi. To sample some of the region's fresh seafood, pay a visit to popular eateries like Sunset Grille and O'Steen's Restaurant .

Though you'll find casual American fare at most St. Augustine restaurants, several internationally influenced cafes, bakeries and eateries are available as well. Some of the town's most popular restaurants include Casa Benedetto's Ristorante – an Italian dining establishment – and Mango Mango's Caribbean Grill & Bar . And on St. George Street , diners can enjoy Cuban classics like pan con bistec (steak and grilled onion sandwiches) and papa rellenas (stuffed fried potatoes) at The Cuban Cafe & Bakery , Spanish tapas at Columbia Restaurant and British-inspired pub fare at the Bull & Crown Publick House .

Getting Around St. Augustine

The best way to get around St. Augustine is on foot and by trolley. Most of St. Augustine's top attractions are located within the town's historic downtown, while other sights like the Old Jail and Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park can be reached by the local sightseeing trolley. To get to and from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), the area's closest major airport, visitors can drive or take a taxi. The Northeast Florida Regional Airport (UST) is a closer option, about 5 miles north of the city, but offers very limited flight options through just a few lesser-known carriers. The city's Sunshine Bus Company can be used for half of the journey, but travelers will need to use two or more Jacksonville Transportation Authority buses for the other part of their trip. The Sunshine Bus Co. can also be used to get around central St. Augustine. Driving within St. Augustine is not recommended due to limited street parking.

Visit St. Augustine for a healthy mix of historic architecture and pristine ocean views.

A month-by-month guide to what's happening in St Augustine, Florida

The oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the US, St Augustine is a great place to dive into North America’s past thanks to its history-rich museums, centuries-old architecture and year-round moderate temps.

In fact, St Augustine sits in a seasonal sweet spot. The city is situated along the northern coast of Florida , where it enjoys slightly more temperate climes than its counterparts in the southern half of the state. But that doesn’t mean it escapes the uncertainty of hurricane season or the daily afternoon deluge that comes with Florida’s summer season.

Despite the possible threat of heavy summer storms, the city remains a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts looking to paddleboard in the ocean or go wildlife-watching in a state park. Sure, you might get some rain, but it’s bound to blow over in a few hours, revealing the sun and new opportunities to explore the sights and sounds of a tropical destination that exudes sweet Southern charm. From high season to low, the most crowded times to visit, and the best periods for budget travelers, this month-by-month guide can help you plan the perfect trip to St Augustine.

High season is the driest time of year: March–May

Best time for soaking up the sun

The spring months in St Augustine are the perfect time to enjoy both the cultural and natural beauty of the city as they bring some of the driest times of the year. Rainy season is still months away, which means clear skies, low humidity and comfortably warm temps that lend themselves to long days on the beach uninterrupted by the daily storms that plague the summer. It’s also a great time to explore the various state parks, as the threat of mosquitoes and sweltering heat awaits the summer months.

A quaint narrow street lined with small huts selling arts and crafts; vendors are seated at the end of the path

It's not too hot in shoulder season: November–February

Best time for exploring the cultural sights

During the winter months, you’ll spot local and native Floridians trotting out their leggings and leather jackets. You might want to take a page from their playbook, as temperatures fall to the upper 40ºFs in the evening. Daytime is a different story, though — low-to-no humidity and sunny 65ºF days make it the perfect time to walk around the Historic District, visit a farmers market or tour one of the area’s several distilleries and wineries.

Expect heat, humidity, and rain in low season: June–October

Best time for budget travelers

Summer brings Florida’s rainy season, where afternoon thunderstorms can make the air feel soupy during the day. During the evenings, the humidity dissipates a bit, making an alfresco meal or cocktail quite comfortable. Temps also spike during the season, with highs hovering in the 90ºFs and dipping into the mid-to-low 70ºFs at night. You can expect discounted attractions and hotel stays in the summer thanks in part to hurricane season, which officially runs from June 1 to November 30. The peak of the season hits between August and October, so plan cautiously and accordingly.

January is good for daytime activities outdoors

Ringing in the new year with a hangover? Good news: the cooler daytime temps lend themselves to outdoor activities that’ll help you sweat out the spirits from the night before. At night, things can get a bit chilly, so ducking into a theater for a film or live performance is the way to go. Key Events: St Augustine Film Festival , Matanzas 5000 5K and Fun Run.

February is a fairly quiet time to visit

The bright, cooler weather continues, but St Augustine remains relatively quiet in terms of visitors. It's a great time to visit the Historic District and spend some time dipping in and out of the shops on St George Street.  Key Events: Flight to Freedom , St Augustine Spanish Wine Festival .

The spring break crowd descends in March

During March, things take a considerable turn towards the warmer. That’s when the spring break crowd descends upon the area for sunny, rain-free days spent laying out by the Atlantic Ocean or watching the pro golfers take their best swings on the green. Key Events: Searle’s Raid for Visitors , The Players Championship .

It's time to celebrate in April

It’s spring, and the flowers aren’t the only thing in full bloom. Events and activities are popping up all over the city, including the annual Birding and Photo Fest. St Augustine also takes its Easter festivities quite seriously, welcoming parades and elaborate ceremonies that pay homage to its historic past.  Key Events: St Augustine Easter Parade, Florida’s Birding and Photo Fest , Blessing of the Fleet .

St Augustine gets busy in May

May is one of the busiest times of year in St Augustine — it’s right before the rainy season kicks into high gear, so you can comfortably enjoy some of the outdoor food and spirits festivals that are popular around the time.   Key Events: St Augustine Food and Wine Festival , Annual Craft Brewers Fest .

June is the start of the hurricane season

Hurricane (and rainy!) season kicks off in June, which means daily downpours in the late afternoon — a perfect time to drop into a museum or cozy up in your hotel’s lounge with a good book and a local brew.   Key Events: Battle of Bloody Mose .

Expect rain every day in July

You can count on rain just about every day in July. But by the evening, the weather cools and clears, making for great Fourth of July firework-viewing conditions by the Matanzas River. Key Events: Fireworks over Matanzas .

Some accommodations offer low-season discounts in August

It’s the dog days of Florida summer, and unless it involves a trip to the local beach or a hotel pool, most people avoid being outdoors during this time. The forecast will likely call for daily rain storms, which means some hotels offer up low-season discounts.

Brave the rain at music festivals in September

The height of the hurricane season brings more rain and a greater threat of major storms. However, that doesn’t stop popular bands and musical acts from taking the stage at various venues during the annual Sing Out Loud Festival. Key Events: St Augustine Founder’s Day celebration , Sing Out Loud Festival .

Tiny figures sit on beach chairs at the seaside beneath dramatic dark gray clouds swirling above as a storm front moves in

Threats of hurricane reduce in October

It’s still peak hurricane season, but as the month winds down so does the threat of a storm. It’s still warm, but the heat isn’t quite as suffocating as the summer months. If the weather permits, take advantage of the cooler temps and buy tickets to the Rhythm and Ribs Festival, a winning combination of barbeque and live music.  Key Events: Greek Festival , Rhythm and Ribs Festival .

Evening temperatures are refreshing in November

While hurricane season doesn’t officially end until the end of the month, most of the storm activity has quieted down and the daily downpours have slowed to a non-existent trickle. The dropping humidity and refreshing evening temperatures make it a great time to get outside and revel in some of the seasonal activities. Key Events: Historic Lincolnville Festival , Light the Way Home Festival of Trees .

Enjoy the seasonal lights in December

The water temperature in December dips to uncomfortably chilly temps, but the clear skies and refreshingly crisp air make it a great time to take in St Augustine’s Nights of Light, an annual celebration that drapes the 20 blocks of the Historic District in white twinkling lights.  Key Events: Nights of Lights .

In fact, there are so many things to do in St. Augustine you’ll have trouble narrowing it down to what you can reasonably manage to do in one weekend. Whether you crave adventure or relaxation, there are endless options for how to spend your time here!

How many days do you need in St. Augustine?

Although it would take you quite a while to see everything in St. Augustine, we recommend a visit of two to three days to see the top sites and attractions. We love how compact the historic area of St. Augustine is, making it easy to see a lot in a short amount of time. It’s perfect for a weekend getaway.

You can easily plan a trip to St. Augustine, Florida, with this weekend itinerary. We’ve covered the top sites. But don’t worry, we’ve also provided some recommendations for other things to do as well so that you can customize your itinerary.

St. Augustine Weekend Itinerary: Day 1

Explore castillo de san marcos national monument .

View of Castillo de San Marcos from Colonial Quarter Watchtower in St. Augustine, Florida

Address: 1 South Castillo Drive, Saint Augustine, FL 32084

I recommend you start your trip with a visit to Castillo de San Marcos National Monument . It’s one of the most visited sites in St. Augustine and for good reason.

It’s the oldest masonry fortification in the U.S., and (supposedly) one of only two existing structures in the world built from coquina. Coquina is composed of shell fragments and sand, which makes it ideal for military fort construction.

Unlike other forms of stone that would shatter when struck by cannon fire, because coquina is quite porous it simply compressed. So, it would actually deflect the shot or cannon balls would even lodge within the fortress walls.

We recommend you do the fort first thing in the morning. Later in the morning, there can be a long line to enter. And of course, in the summer months, the interior of the Castillo can get quite hot.

While there is a fee to enter the fort, guests are welcome to stroll the grounds outside for free. You can also use your America the Beautiful pass for entry.

Paid parking is available nearby at the adjacent parking lot or in the city parking garage just a few blocks away.

Check out historic St. George Street

Just a short stroll away from Castillo de San Marcos is historic St. George Street. St. George Street is the main street that runs down the center of old St. Augustine. St. George Street is closed to vehicles and home to many points of interest in the city such as museums, restaurants, and shops.

Have fun looking through everything this street has to offer. And don’t miss poking around the little side streets too.

Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth Archeological Park

Statue of Ponce de Leon at Fountain of Youth Archeological Park in Florida

Address: 11 Magnolia Avenue, St. Augustine, FL USA, 32084

For this site, you’ll have to hop in your car and head just a few minutes outside of central St. Augustine. The  Archeological Park marks the location of the native Timuacan village of Seloy. It was also the original location of St. Augustine.

Much like Historic Jamestowne , you can visit sites in the park that mark locations of original buildings.

filling a cup of water at the Fountain of Youth

The Park is also part living history museum with firearms and blacksmithing demonstrations.

You can get a small discount if you purchase tickets in advance online  or you can buy at the ticket office on site. There are no same-day ticket sales online.

Make sure to stop at the Fountain House to try a sip of the water from the “Fountain of Youth.” This is just for fun. There doesn’t appear to be any archeological evidence that Ponce de Leon ever set foot anywhere in the area of this park.

The Fountain of Youth is pet-friendly.

Featured tours in St. Augustine

If you’re looking for other activities to add to your St. Augustine weekend itinerary, check out these featured tours. All have   free cancellation available.

This   trolley tour  is quite popular and provides an overview of St. Augustine.

Or explore St. Augustine with a private electric cart tour .

Or why not try a  spooky ghost tour  one evening?

St. Augustine Weekend Itinerary: Day 2

Take a colonial quarter tour .

old printing press inside an old wooden building at the Colonial Quarter

Purchase tickets at 14 S. Castillo Drive

The Colonial Quarter living history museum  should definitely be on your St. Augustine weekend itinerary.

If you’ve ever been to Colonial Williamsburg , then you definitely have an idea of what Colonial Quarter is like…just on a much larger scale. Your Colonial Quarter ticket includes a guided tour of the museum.

Our tour guide, Bert, was outstanding. He walked us through hundreds of years of St. Augustine history, as the oldest permanent European settlement in North America.

The tour includes live demonstrations of blacksmithing and firearms, plus you can walk through a historic house and climb the watchtower for a great view of Castillo de San Marcos and the Matanzas River.

Stroll the oldest street in America

old narrow cobblestone street in St Augustine Florida

As long as you’re in the oldest city in America, why not also take a walk along the oldest street in America while you’re there?  Aviles Street is located south of Plaza de la Constitución between St. George Street and Charlotte Street .

In addition to making a great photo spot, Aviles Street is also home to art galleries, museums, and restaurants.

Pirate & Treasure Museum

Exterior of Pirate & Treasure Museum and sign

Location: 12 South Castillo Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32084

I recommend you make a stop at the  Pirate & Treasure Museum  during your St. Augustine weekend getaway.

Initially, I visited the museum almost solely out of curiosity, but I was so glad I went. It’s not a large museum, but the exhibits are well done, fun, and engaging. There is an impressive collection of historical pirate artifacts in the museum including a “treasure chest” and an old Jolly Roger flag.

The Pirate & Treasure Museum is a little dark (in every sense of the word) and might not be appropriate for very young children. The museum was established by pirate history enthusiast and entrepreneur Pat Croce. It was originally located in Key West, Florida, and then moved to St. Augustine.

You can purchase tickets in the museum or  buy them ahead of time online .

Oldest Wooden School House

Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse building exterior

Okay, this one’s mainly just for a laugh. If you have time (and a little money to spare) I recommend you consider popping into the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse. You’ll find it at the top of St. George Street.

It’s quite small, so it won’t take much time at all to see every square inch of it. It’s also…how do I put this delicately?…so cheesy and hokey and cringe-y.

And full of creepy mannequins. They stare at you from everywhere. They might give you nightmares. Don’t miss the child mannequin stashed UNDER THE STAIRS as “punishment.”

I did find that those who sell the entry tickets take the museum quite seriously, so if you do go in as a bit of a joke….maybe don’t let on that’s why you’re there. Just sayin’…

More things to do in St. Augustine

View of the stage at the St. Augustine Amphitheater

Of course, there’s much more to do in St. Augustine than you can fit into one weekend.

If you enjoy music, definitely take a look at what’s going on at the  St. Augustine Amphitheater  during your visit. It’s a great venue and just a short drive from the historic center of the city on Anastasia Island. Anastasia makes a great day trip from St. Augustine .

Check out these additional options. All include   free 24-hour cancellation.

  • You might enjoy taking a guided tour of the Old Jail Museum .
  • Or perhaps visit the “first established wax museum” in the United States.
  • Another great option is to see several St. Augustine attractions for one price with  this combo ticket  that includes a trolley ticket and access to several sites/museums (plus free cancellation).

Where to stay in St. Augustine

Although its historic center is quite compact there is no shortage of accommodations. You’ll find a wide variety of places to stay from vacation rentals to small B&Bs and boutique hotels.

Affordable major chain hotels are also nearby and make a good budget option.

A vacation rental just steps from the historic district like  this one on Airbnb  has plenty of room for a small family or it’s perfect for a couple. And since it includes a full kitchen, it’s easy to save money on food.

If you’re interested in hotel accommodations here are some top-rated and recommended options:

Casa Monica : This iconic resort and spa in the historic district is a popular high-end place to stay. It’s located very near Plaza de la Constitución. Book your stay right now.

Penny Farthing Inn : This Bed & Breakfast is located in historic St. Augustine near the popular Lightner Museum. Book your stay today .

Holiday Inn St. Augustine – Historic District : This affordable hotel option is located about a 6-minute drive from Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. Book your reservations now .

Where to Eat in St. Augustine

Of course, if you go the route of staying at a Vrbo or Airbnb, you can save money on food by eating in.

You can shop for food and supplies at the local Publix (125 Jenkins St, St. Augustine, FL 32086) or the Target at 1440 US Hwy 1 S, St. Augustine, FL 32084.

If you do want to eat out, here are a few places we would recommend for lunch or dinner:

The Floridian

Location: 72 Spanish St #3638, St. Augustine, FL 32084

We highly recommend you make time for dinner at The Floridian during your St. Augustine weekend. We thought the food and service were outstanding. They have great vegetarian and gluten-free options.

It’s a popular spot, so reservations are recommended.  Check out their menus here .

Large white bowl willed with golden curry and rice on a wooden table

Columbia

Location: 98 St George St, St. Augustine, FL 32084

My husband’s favorite meal of our St. Augustine visit was at Columbia . They have some great gluten-free options and some solid vegetarian options. Hubby claims Columbia has the best flan he’s ever tasted.

This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but you can save a little money if you eat there for lunch. Reservations are   strongly recommended .

Sweet treats

There are also great places in St. Augustine to get snacks and dessert:

  • The Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops : amazing popsicles in a ton of fun flavors.
  • Cousteau’s Waffle and Milkshake Bar : awesome dessert Belgian waffles and handspun milkshakes.
  • Mayday Ice Cream : delicious ice cream! Includes dairy-free options.

Belgian waffle with whipped cream dusted with powdered in a paper container

Tips for visiting St. Augustine

When to go .

You’ll enjoy smaller crowds and somewhat lower temperatures if you visit St. Augustine between October and April. The rainiest months on average are from June through September, where it can rain up to 10 or 11 days out of the month.

How to get around

The best way to get around historic St. Augustine for your day trip is to use your feet. The historic district is quite compact with most top sites very close to each other.

If you’re staying outside the historic area of St. Augustine, you can park your car in the Historic Downtown Parking Facility (1 Cordova Street) and then easily walk to nearly everything you want to see.

There may be some limited street parking around the area, but we would recommend you use the garage. There’s also a convenient Visitor Center there, as well as restrooms and a gift shop.

Final thoughts on planning a trip to St. Augustine, Florida

If you’re looking for a beautiful destination with a rich history, then St. Augustine is the place to be. Whether you enjoy history, food or outdoor adventure, you can’t go wrong with a St. Augustine weekend getaway.

Wow! thank you so much for this post. Will definitely save it. We’re planning on going for our honeymoon 🙂

Wonderful! I think you’ll really enjoy it. And congratulations!

Isn’t St. Augustine home to the oldest Catholic church and Mass celebrated in North America? I am surprised this is not mentioned in your article, even to non-Christians, as a very significant historical event.

The Cathedral of San Juan in Puerto Rico is older, but it would be good to mention the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine.

Recommend a tour of Flagler College as well. The history of the main building and the architecture of the historic Ponce de Leon Hotel is amazing.

Yes! Good suggestion. I’ve heard only good things. Unfortunately, they were closed for tours when I was in town.

Hi. Quick note: It’s the Lightner Museaum. Not Leitner.

Oof. Thanks for catching my embarrassing spelling error. It’s fixed now.

The 10 Best Things To See In St. Augustine, FL

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

We recently got another chance to visit St. Augustine, one of the oldest cities in the US. I’ve been fascinated with this Florida city for a long time because it has so much history and was home to some of the central figures in the development of Florida. So, today, I want to talk about some of the best things to see in St. Augustine, FL!

St. Augustine is old, really old, and is a place where lots of historical “firsts” happened. It’s a city full of interesting landmarks, beautiful beaches, good food, and sunny weather.

The St. Augustine area merges old-world American history, Spanish charm, and modern amenities to create a fantastic vacation destination for the entire family. The heart of the city is very walkable. You can visit almost all the major attractions by taking a hop-on, hop-off trolley that stops at the popular locations.

In this post, I’ll cover the best things to see in St. Augustine, FL, and give you some tips on how to make the most of your visit!

The Best Things To See In St. Augustine, FL

Visiting  St. Augustine  is always a lot of fun for our family. You know that walkability is very important to us when we travel. Therefore, it’s no surprise that St. Augustine’s walkability and tourist-friendly layout add much to our experience.

The town is relatively compact, with most major attractions located downtown or nearby. St. George Street is a pedestrian-only street that runs through the old city center. It’s packed with shops, restaurants, and fun attractions.

St. Augustine can get very busy, especially during holidays and weekends, when the city swells with visitors. The streets will get filled with people, and the pace of activity is fast, especially around St. George Street. When you travel, bring good shoes, water, sunscreen, and an adventurous spirit!

The Old Town Trolley Tour in St. Augustine

Before diving into my list, I want to quickly discuss the  Old Town Trolley Tour . Throughout the post, I will mention that there is a trolley tour stop near various places. Therefore, it is an excellent activity for first-time visitors who want to get a feel for the area! The trolley tour stops at or passes by many of the best things to see in St. Augustine, FL.

The Old Town Trolley Tour is a  hop-on, hop-off trolley  that stops frequently at critical locations throughout the city. It comes around often and drops riders off at 21 different stops. You can get on and off an unlimited number of times all day long.

Purchasing an  Old Town Trolley Tours ticket  also gives you some discounts on local attractions. We used the trolley and enjoyed it. It gave us flexibility and the ability to cover more ground.

In the heat of the summer Florida sun, it’s also a welcome reprieve from walking. The trolleys are not air-conditioned, but they are open-sided. Most stops will probably be busy with people waiting during peak travel times. You may need to wait for the next train. I want to manage expectations and ensure you give yourself plenty of time. However, on our visit, we waited 5-15 minutes, at most, at any stop before boarding.

My best trip would be to take the trolley first thing in the morning. Likewise, you can always buy a two-day ticket !

List Of The Best Things To See In St. Augustine, FL

So, let’s get started and look at some of the best things to see in St. Augustine, FL!

There are a lot of  things to do in St. Augustine . St. Augustine is the oldest continuously inhabited European-established settlement in the contiguous US. Many attractions tell the story of the original Spanish people who founded the city in 1565.

This list includes some of the most popular things to see in St. Augustine. I’ve focused on locations that are noteworthy as historical landmarks rather than on purely tourist-oriented attractions. If you are using the Old Town Trolley, be sure to research ahead of time to plan where you will get on and off the trolley. Batching your sightseeing by trolley stop will make things easier and quicker and prevent back-tracking later.

#1 Castillo de San Marcos National Monument

The  Castillo de San Marcos  is the oldest masonry fort in the continental US. This massive fort looks out over the city’s bay. It is fascinating to explore and provides a fun way to engage with the area’s history.

Tickets are required to enter the fort. The interior is filled with intriguing nooks and crannies where you can learn more about a soldier’s life in the fort. The rooftop has many types of cannons and a fantastic view of the harbor.

We recommend setting aside 2-3 hours to visit Castillo de San Marcos, and in my opinion, this tops the list of the best things to see in St. Augustine, FL.

#2 St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum

The  St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum  is a historic lighthouse built in 1874. Climb the 219 steps to reach the observation deck, which offers an amazing view of the surrounding area. The museum also has a children’s play area and a puppet theatre.

The new Maritime Center offers many hands-on and interactive displays regarding maritime culture, navigation, and transportation. Children must be at least 44 inches tall to climb the stairs, and tickets are required.

#3 Lightner Museum

The  Lightner Museum  was once known as the Hotel Alcazar, a palatial hotel commissioned by Standard Oil executive Henry Flagler. Flagler was instrumental in the development of Florida in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Flagler Florida East Coast Railway allowed for the development of the Florida Keys, and his grand vision brought prominent visitors from all over the US to experience Florida. At the Lightner Museum, you can tour the iconic building and see the museum’s collection of art and historical pieces. The museum offers an immersive experience of art, architecture, history, and design. Tickets are required.

If this Florida railroad history interests you, you may want to pick up one of my favorite books titled  Sunshine Paradise: The History of Florida Tourism

#4 Flagler College

Flagler College is a private liberal arts college in St. Augustine. The school itself was founded in 1968.

Flagler College’s centerpiece building is the Ponce de Leon Hotel, which was built in 1888 by Henry Flagler. The hotel is a gorgeous example of Spanish Renaissance Revival architecture and was one of the first buildings in the world wired for electricity. Flager’s friend, Thomas Edison, provided the power with his new DC generator.

Henry Flagler established an art colony at the hotel and built an artist’s studio building to the rear of the hotel. The Ponce de Leon Hotel is home to the most extensive collection of Luis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows.  Visitors are frequently in awe of the incredible dining room!

Paid  historic tours  of the campus and buildings are available.

#5 Gonzolaz-Alvarez House (The Oldest House)

The  Gonzolaz-Alvarez House  is the oldest surviving Spanish colonial house in St. Augustine. Construction began around 1723, and the house was in its final form by 1790. Evidence of St. Augustine’s diverse history of occupation by Spanish, British, and American forces can be seen at the house.

The Oldest House Museum Complex offers guided tours, a museum, a colonial kitchen, an ornamental garden, and a museum store. Tickets are required. Guided tours are available every half hour. The St. Augustine Surf Culture and History Museum is located in the same complex, and admission is included with the Oldest House Museum admission.

#6 Fountain of Youth Archeological Park

The Fountain of Youth Archeological Park is a fun museum and park for the whole family. It plays off the famous legend of the “Fountain of Youth” – a spring of waters that would grant drinkers immortality.

When Ponce de Leon arrived in 1513, he found a local native tribe called the Timucua. He and his men traded with the Indians before relationships became hostile. The Fountain of Youth Archeological Park showcases the fascinating lives and culture of the Timucua people. You can see the Timucua Indian exhibit, a great interactive learning experience, a planetarium with a show about maritime navigation, and explore the park.

The park is 15 acres with venerable oak trees, an observation platform over marshes, native peacocks, and other birds.  Tickets  are required.

#7 St. George Street

St. George Street  is the bustling main street that runs through the center of old St. Augustine. In the early days, it was the city’s main street, and today, it is the center of tourist attractions, shops, restaurants, and bars.

This area includes a vibrant, busy, pedestrian-only street lined with attractions of every kind. It’s fun to walk down the street and see all the cute shops, galleries, and restaurants. I recommend coming here for lunch or dinner, as there are many great places to eat.

The City Gate, Oldest House, and Cathedral Basilica are located along St. George Street. Be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth at Whetstone Chocolates, a local confectionary in business since 1967!

#8 Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine

The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine is the oldest Catholic church in the city, and the Parish of St. Augustine is the oldest Catholic parish in the country. The first Catholic mass in the continental United States took place here.

The Cathedral’s Spanish Mission architectural style is beautiful, and the interior is adorned with exquisite murals, stained glass windows, sculptures, and artifacts. The Cathedral is open to the public, and guided tours are available.

#9 National Shrine Of Our Lady Of La Leche at Mission Nombre De Dios

The Shrine Of Our Lady Of La Leche was built in 1609 in honor of Our Lady of La Leche – a Marian apparition popular with early settlers. It’s considered the oldest shrine in the US. The complex consists of The Chapel of Our Lady of La Leche, the Great Cross (a really tall cross), the Rustic Alter, and a beautiful Rosary garden.

President John F. Kennedy once called it the “Most sacred acre in America.” Admission to the National Shrine Of Our Lady Of La Leche at Mission Nombre De Dios is free, and self-guided tours are available.

#10 Gates of St. Augustine

The Gates of St. Augustine are located at the very north end of St. George Street. It’s a historic landmark built by St. Augustine residents in 1808 and used as a gate to defend the city. The gate is made of coquina, a locally abundant limestone sedimentary rock comprised almost entirely of sand-sized fossil debris.

The gates are an excellent place to take pictures and memorialize your visit to  St. Augustine ! They also signify the start of St. George Street and entry into the historic district.

Things To Do

Subscriber only, travel | floridian fun, history abound at st. augustine alligator farm.

Animal enthusiasts and curious explorers can be transported to five continents through educational exhibits and encounters with crocodilians — all without leaving Florida.

The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is home to 24 species of crocodilians from as far away as Africa, Asia and Australia, exotic birds and mammals, Florida native reptiles and more. One of the state’s oldest continuously operating attractions, the park opened in 1893 and has welcomed visitors ever since.

Albino alligators are one attraction at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park seen March 8, 2024. (Patrick Connolly/Orlando Sentinel)

When visitors enter the park, they first see albino alligators and the main lagoon where dozens of alligators bask in the sun and await daily feeding shows, much to the delight of visitors.

The zoo is divided into distinct areas, starting with the Land of Crocodiles — where crocodiles, caimans and alligators from around the world wait in their pools and bask in the sun. Some of these endangered species have long snouts and razor-sharp teeth, harkening prehistoric times.

The Birds of Africa display includes Cape Griffon vultures, hooded vultures and Marabou storks, which are all neighbors to the lemurs of Madagascar and Galapagos turtles.

Tucked in the back corner of the park, visitors can meander along a boardwalk at the native swamp and rookery where herons, egrets, spoonbills and storks make their nests right above alligators in the lagoon.

An indoor exhibit gives guests a welcome reprieve from the heat and tells the story of Gomek, a behemoth of a saltwater crocodile who was captured in Papua New Guinea and lived at the park until he died in 1997. The animal measured 17 feet, 9 inches and weighed almost 2,000 lbs.

After Gomek reigned over the park, the St. Augustine attraction became home to Maximo, a massive 15-foot-3-inch, 1,250-pound saltwater crocodile from Australia, who can be seen in an underwater enclosure with his mate, Sydney.

As many animals and birds resemble the age of the dinosaurs, the park is also home to Florida native reptiles, snakes and a Komodo dragon.

Special programs include Florida’s Forest Friends, a hands-on program focused on the Sunshine State’s environment, “Realm of the Alligator,” a “Scales and Tails Reptile Show,” the Rainforest Review and, of course, the daily alligator feeding.

For especially daring adventurers, the park also offers the Crocodile Crossing zip line attraction where guests can soar over live alligators and crocodiles with two different courses available. The adjacent Python Challenge is a 40-foot climbing tower with a rock wall, a cargo net climb and a rope climb.

From family fun outings to school field trips, the St. Augustine Alligator Farm promises a day full of exciting encounters and plenty of opportunities to learn about ancient reptiles.

The St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, with extended hours until 6 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day, at 999 Anastasia Blvd. in St. Augustine. Tickets are $35.99 per adult, $20.99 per child ages 3-11 with discounts for visitors in wheelchairs. AAA members, military and seniors receive a 10% discount. The park has food and beverages available for purchase on-site. Pets are not allowed except for service animals. For more information, call 904-824-3337 or visit alligatorfarm.com .
