Avenged Sevenfold’ Brings Their “Life is But a Dream” Tour To The MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

Tampa, fl. (september 17, 2023).

The MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa was transformed into a sonic battleground on September 21, 2023, as the legendary Avenged Sevenfold took the stage for their “Life is But a Dream Tour.” With Falling In Reverse as the opening act, the night was set to be an unforgettable experience for fans of rock and metal music.

Falling In Reverse kicked off the evening with an explosive setlist that ignited the crowd’s energy. They played a powerful array of hits, including “Zombified,” “I’m Not A Vampire,” “Losing My Mind,” “Fuck You And All Your Friends,” “The Drug In Me Is You,” “Just Like You,” “Watch The World Burn,” “Voices In My Head,” and the electrifying “Popular Monster.” Ronnie Radke’s stage presence and vocal prowess had the audience hanging on to every word, setting the stage for the headlining act.

Just after nine, the moment that every Avenged Sevenfold fan had been eagerly awaiting arrived. The lights dimmed, and the atmosphere was charged with anticipation. M. Shadows, the band’s iconic lead singer, made a dramatic entrance. He sat center stage, shrouded in a mysterious black mask, setting a haunting tone for the night ahead.

The opening notes of “Game Over” pierced through the darkness, and the crowd erupted with excitement. Avenged Sevenfold’s performance was a masterclass in showmanship and musical prowess. As they seamlessly transitioned through their extensive catalog of hits, the crowd was taken on an emotional rollercoaster.

Songs like “Mattel,” “Afterlife,” and “Hail To The King,” resonated throughout the amphitheater, each note delivered with precision and raw energy. “We Love You” and “Buried Alive” showcased their ability to seamlessly shift between heavy and melodic moments. “So Far Away” and “Nobody” provided poignant interludes, allowing the audience to reflect on the band’s emotive storytelling.

The transition from the melancholic “So Far Away” to the explosive “Nightmare” was a high point, demonstrating the band’s emotional range. “Bat Country” featured Synyster Gates’s virtuosic guitar solos, sending the crowd into a frenzy, while “Unholy Confessions” unleashed the primal energy of the mosh pits.

One of the standout elements of Avenged Sevenfold’s performance was their use of multiple video screens, which displayed haunting visuals that perfectly complemented the music. The screens also featured close-ups of the band members, allowing the audience to feel a deeper connection with the musicians.

M. Shadows, Synyster Gates, Zacky Vengeance, Johnny Christ, and Brooks Wackerman demonstrated their unparalleled musicianship, reminding everyone why Avenged Sevenfold is considered one of the giants of the metal genre. That show, in SLC Utah, was phenomenal. They're just amazing people who worked so hard and got where they deserve to be. I enjoyed watching the result of their hard work, and I plan to watch more shows that come around. I want to see them succeed more and accomplish more stuff in the future. They're such great people, amazing artists, great role models for aspiring musicians everywhere, and (by the twitter videos) they're amazing parents. I'll always be a death bat, not only for their music but for them as human beings. God Damn.

Well, I'm not sure which show I'm supposed to review, so I'll do both. I saw them on Friday at shoreline amphitheater and then on Monday at golden one center. For the 1st show we had lawn tickets, it was still good. This was my 6th time seeing them. It was my 13 year old son's 1st concert. They always put on an excellent show.

Mondays show was the best one I've been to,my 7th time seeing them , because we were right up front on the floor. It was awesome. The crowd gets pretty aggressive, but I already knew that. I ended up being pulled out from security for trying to break up a fight, so that wasn't fun, but nothing against the band, they rocked.

What an amazing live performance. They kept the audience engaged the entire time. I'm not their biggest fan but there was a few songs that I wish had been on the set list that weren't. Then again, that's just my preference. Regardless, Matt has an amazing voice and I was blown away. The only thing that bothered me was that the sound mix seemed a bit off which sucks because that's obviously not the band's fault. At first the bass was so low that anytime the guitars started playing harmonies the sound got really thin/empty. Also I thought that Synyster was playing sloppily (which I would have been extremely surprised if that was the case) because some parts in his solos seemed inaudible but I finally realized that the guitars were getting smothered in the mix. I only notice this stuff because I play in a band and do live shows myself so it probably didn't bother too many people besides me. Overall, 10/10 live performance, and I would totally go see them again. (Hopefully at another venue)

“Life is But a Dream…” when Avenged Sevenfold rolls into town! The heavy metal heroes have announced their highly-anticipated full-length tour for summer 2023, which marks their first set of shows in over five years. Joined by Alexisonfire in 13 cities, these Avenged Sevenfold concerts will kick off on July 18th in Camden, NJ, and continue through August 7th in Vancouver, BC. More dates are scheduled to be announced soon.

These also include previously-announced performances in Los Angeles, CA, and New York, NY, with Falling in Reverse and Pussy Riot. The setlist will include all-new tracks from their upcoming eighth album; Life Is But A Dream… , due for release in June 2023, plus other favorites from their nearly 25-year career. Avenged Sevenfold Announce Second Leg of 2023 Tour

The Life Is But a Dream trek continues on September 16

Avenged Sevenfold have announced the second leg of their 2023 North American tour . The run continues on September 16 in West Palm Beach, Florida and wraps up on October 15 in Fort Worth, Texas. Special guests for this leg will be Falling In Reverse.

Deathbats Club members and TicketPass holders can unlock exclusive first access to request tickets now until tomorrow at 12PM PT/3PM ET. Avenged Sevenfold previously announced  two headlining shows  in New York and Los Angeles. The performances will celebrate the release of the band’s  new studio album   Life Is But a Dream … which arrives on June 2. The shows are set for June 9 at the KIA Forum in L.A. and June 23 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Special guests for both shows will be Falling In Reverse and Pussy Riot.

The newly announced arena concerts mark Avenged Sevenfold’s first proper New York City on sale appearance since 2007 and their first Los Angeles county headline on sale since 2009.

Avenged Sevenfold announce new dates on 2023 North American Tour, including a stop in Tampa

Metal band Avenged Sevenfold has announced a handful of additional dates for its Life is But A Dream…North American tour and it includes a date in Tampa.

The band will head out to 13 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada during the first part of the Live Nation-produced run, with support from Alexisonfire, starting July 18 in Camden, New Jersey and running through Aug. 7 in Vancouver.

The second leg of the tour will feature support from Falling In Reverse and resume in West Palm Beach on Sept. 16, before hosting Tampa's MIDFLORIDA Amphitheater the following night, September 17.

The tour then takes in Nashville, Portland, Phoenix, and more cities, before wrapping up in Fort Worth on Oct. 15.

Live Nation Presale begins Thursday, April 12 at 10am, with Code: VINYL.

General tickets go on sale Friday at 10 am.

News of the tour comes after the band announced its new album Life is But A Dream... which will be released June 2 via Warner Records.

Avenged Sevenfold  have added a second leg to their slate of 2023 North American tour dates . Last month, the O.C. metal titans announced their new album , Life Is but a Dream , alongside their first tour in five years, which commences later this summer. Now, they've added 17 new dates to their calendar that they'll be playing later this fall with  Falling in Reverse , who are also playing A7X's album release shows on June 9th and June 23rd. 

The second leg of their Life Is but a Dream tour kicks off September 16th in West Palm Beach, Florida, and will travel throughout the American South and West before concluding October 15th in Forth Worth, Texas. 

General tickets go on sale Friday April 14th at 10 a.m. local time, but  Revolver  subscribers can get their tickets Thursday April 13th at 10 a.m. local time with the code 'REVOLVER.' Grab yours here .

Avenged Sevenfold Singer M. Shadows Talks 'Life Is But a Dream' Tour (Exclusive)

Avenged Sevenfold's 'Life Is But a Dream' tour rolls into Uncasville, Connecticut on Thursday.

Avenged Sevenfold is currently trekking across the U.S. on their Life Is But a Dream... tour along with Sullivan King and Poppy. The tour is named after the band's new album, released in 2023, and features portions of the band's new VR concert, Looking Inside . PopCulture.com recently had a chance to chat with A7X frontman M. Shadows who offered some insight into how they put their new stage show together.

"We just create, and then sometimes things are just super obvious and easy," Shadows explained when asked if they considered how their new songs would be performed for a live audience when crafting them, "and then sometimes things are like, 'Well, I don't know what we're going to do.' And you try to figure things out and ideas."

Shadows also shared a question from a good friend who, when the band announced their VR concert, asked, "When you have this tool now, does it change the way you write the next?" This, he says, sparked his own curiosity. "Do you think differently because there's now, instead of sitting home at night and putting headphones on and being in your own head, now you have this medium where you could write a record and the visuals and the VR all go together, and that's the record?"

"The art sort of influences what the music is going to be in the music," Shadows continued, then comparing the music industry's approach to technological evolution with another medium. "So it was a really good question, because if you think about how the video game industry has adapted to technology, they've done it incredibly well. They make more money now, and they give more value than just about any company that's around or any sort of industry that's around."

"The music industry has really struggled," he added. "They've sued a lot of people. They've had to get in bed with people after the fact of disruption. They've really dragged their feet. So, you wonder if the play really is embracing some of these new technologies and changing the art from the ground up of how we create and using things like VR or these different mediums as a way to sort of bring the music industry into the next chapter ."

Coinciding with the new tour, Avenged Sevenfold has announced the A7X Season Pass, a fan loyalty program allowing the band to reward its community. Structured similarly to a gaming pass — a tiered system of possible rewards that allows players to collect XP and unlock new tiers — the A7X Season Pass is like this but with concerts, vinyl, streaming, events, and merchandise as the XP.
