  • This form can only be used outdoors .
  • This form changes the druid into a stag if in land-restricted areas, a very fast bird in flying-enabled areas, and a seal in the water (which is immensely useful in Vashj'ir ).

Spell nature sleep

  • Your caster form will start regaining mana 5 seconds after you change to Travel Form.
  • Unlike a mount , which players cannot use while in combat, a druid is able to shift into travel form while fighting either a mob or another player if they choose to.
  • Travel Form is instantly cast, making it even better for those sticky situations. With Travel Form, druids are able to escape from nearly any fight or simply put distance between themselves and their attackers practically whenever they wish.
  • As with any form, you may harvest herbs through herbalism , and skin dead beasts through skinning . This makes it an excellent way to achieve the fastest results with a gathering profession.
  • The ground based travel form increases your speed by 100% when activated out of combat, and 40% when in combat or when in an arena or battleground. Previously it always increased speed by just 40%. Which speed you get depends on your combat status when you shapeshift.

Tips and tactics [ ]

  • This form is instant cast, so it can be used to beat a strategic retreat if a fight is going badly. However when used in combat you'll be considered land-restricted, even in flying-enabled zones, and so must wait until you're out of combat to use the flying form.
  • The travel form does not stack with speed enchants or speed gems, with the exception of the level 60 and 70 Feral PvP 4 piece set bonus.

It was widely speculated that a stag model was intended to be implemented from day one but changed before release, explaining the odd hoof-shaped icon, and the fact that while the other forms had unique skins, this form looked identical to cheetahs in the game.

Travel and forms one-button macro (including affinity forms)

Hello everyone!

Here is my latest Druid forms macros that should work for all Druid specs in all situations (including swimming indoors). There are two versions, one standalone (no addons needed) and one in combination with the addons LiteMount and Macro Toolkit (or Long Macros) that extend the maximum macro length to 1024 chars. The last one even handles talented affinities. Feedback and questions welcome!

None of these macros includes Treant form, but they handle the current Blizzard bug where Moonkin form can start as form 5 if you directly login as Balance, while in any other situation it is form 4.

As a side note: Travel form, Treant form and Stag form all seem to use the same action-bar 1 that caster form uses, only Cat and Bear forms switch to their own action bar.

Standalone macro, 255 chars limit

This basic macro prefers fast movement over spec form, indoors it first switches to Cat form, outdoors it first switches to Travel Form. Otherwise it will always switch to the appropiate form fitting your current spec, including dismounting directly to your spec form! In noflyable areas it summons a mount, else it uses Travel form.

Because of the 255 chars limit there are several restrictions:

- If you start combat outside of your spec form then it will first switch to Travel form, only then it will switch to spec form. - Swimming indoors will only switch between Travel form and Cat form, regardless of your current spec. - No key modifier to summon the Mammoth (shop/repair) mount. - No automatic talent affinity forms.

German version:

Extended (1024 chars) macro in combination with the addons LiteMount and Makro Toolkit (or Long Macros), including Affinity forms support!

This one literally does everything! Not only does it remove the aforementioned restrictions, but it also adds automatic switching of talent affinity forms. On top of the other macro's behavior this one will switch back and forth to/from your talend appropriate affinity form in combat. For Resto druids it will also always switch to affinity form from Travel form or after dismounting.

Last but not least you can use a [mod] key (like shift) to summon the Mammoth outside of combat or dismount directly to Travel form. In combat you can force a switch to Travel (outdoors) or Cat (indoors) form via [mod] key even while an affinity form other than Resto is set.

Unfortunately there is one restriction remaining: Feral's Balance affinity adds a 1.5 minutes cooldown on Moonkin form. I don't know why, but this can be a problem when you need to switch forms to remove snares as Feral, because the macro cannot identify the ongoing CD on Moonkin form. As a consequence you may want to remove Moonkin affinity form from the Feral part of the macro.

Additionally this macro allows to differentiate between using the macro while standing still (summons mount) or moving (Travel form). LiteMount also allows you to summon a random mount out of any clickable list.

https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/macro-toolkit

https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/litemount

Additionally you need to set up LiteMount as follows:

- Turn off the Travel Form mount via LiteMount's options. - Turn on the Tundra Mammoth' C2 option under "Mounts". - Add the following macro to LM's Macro: Unavailable option:

German Version:

This is the extended macro:

Unable to Customize Druid Travel, Flight, or Aquatic Form in the Barber Shop

Common problems.

  • I can't customize my Druid's flight or aquatic forms in the barber shop.
  • I learned a glyph to change my Travel form a while back but it's not working anymore.

Glyphs are not unlocking additional forms anymore. Additional forms are unlocked with Marks, for example, Mark of the Orca .Ā Once a Mark is learned, the customization optionĀ will be permanently available to you at the Barbershop. You can customize your Druid'sĀ Travel, Flight, or Aquatic forms, depending on which glyphs you have learned.

If you have not learned any forms other than the standard ones, the UI option to change the form in the Barbershop will not be available. We are receiving reports that some Travel forms are not showing up as a Barbershop option even after the marks are learned. We do not have a workaround for this at the moment. Please submit a bug report if you have learned Marks and the option to use them are not appearing in the Barbershop.Ā

Macro to switch between any form into travel form and then back into my current specs form?

Hi there, I had this macro that would switch between forms depending on where Iā€™m at but Dragonflight broke it for my Guardian spec. I had two versions and I donā€™t remember which one worked, but here they are.

They work in Balance spec but not Guardianā€¦Idk how to fix em.

Iā€™ve used this one for a long time. Basically by default it goes to the fastest form available and if you want a specific form like cat, bear, or moonkin/treant you hold shift, ctrl, or alt respectively.

#showtooltip /use [mod:ctrl]Bear Form;[mod:shift]Cat Form;[known:Moonkin Form,mod:alt]Moonkin Form;[mod:alt]Treant Form;[swimming][outdoors]Travel Form;[indoors]Cat Form

If you need help customizing it to your liking, let me know and Iā€™ll try to help out.

Im not in game at the moment but I assume itā€™s breaking because of Moonkin Form? You didnā€™t specify how it is broken, what specifically is not working with it? Itā€™s like trying to move in and out of moonkin form but since you donā€™t have it, nothing happens.

There are two ways you can try to fix it;

  • You can use [spec:#] as a conditional to force certain behavior based on spec. This will only attempt to move into moonkin form in the second spec on your spec page. I canā€™t remember the order, but I think Guardian is 3 and Resto is 4, not sure the order on feral/balance.
  • They have added a new conditional based on talents learned which would fix it if moonkin form is what is breaking. I think this conditional is [known:#]

I think what happened is either I donā€™t have moonkin talented as Guardian or they removed it. I havenā€™t even opened my talent tree as Guardian so Iā€™m not certain. I switched to Balance and it works perfectly, so itā€™s definitely the moonkin form outside of Balance spec thatā€™s the issue.

Iā€™ll try your changes when Iā€™m able to, thanks!

Hi all - I have been banging my head against the wall here to get this working. So, using the known conditional I think I got it set up right (just for moonkin form, I didnā€™t add bear in):

#showtooltip /use [nocombat,noform:2,indoors]Cat Form; /use [nocombat,noform:3,outdoors]Travel Form; /use [known: Moonkin Form,noform:4] Moonkin Form;

But, whenever I try to shift from travel form to moonkin form, I get a ā€œyou are shapechange form errorā€.

NB: I am using Glyph of Stars if that matters

EDIT: Mystery solved, I will leave this for any new aspiring druid:

/console autounshift 1

fixes the problem.

I stole this and it has been working wonderful. I am new to Druid so this has made my life so much easier. Thank you!

Comment by Tyrathius

Honestly I'm kind of enjoying having dynamic flying mounts but static flying flight form on my Druid. Hope that's still an option.

Comment by Tastelikelemon

So is it still an instant mount? Asking the important questions. Indeed , if its not , ill perfer to stick with normal flying , instant flight is too good to change it for anything else.

Comment by Xora

Please Blizzard, give us an option to use both a Dragonrding mount with a static Flight Form. It would be great if you could make the toggle separate for the "Skyriding" flight form so we could differentiate the two. Having the ability (currently) to mount up on a Dragonriding mount, or to instantly enter Flight Form and have static speed is lovely and it'll be a big shame to lose this, to the point where I won't use Dragon Riding again, as being in Flight Form for quest objectives is just too handy. Don't make this toggle affect both, please!

Comment by glassleo

So is it still an instant mount? Yep. Meanwhile evoker needs to have a cast time, a COOLDOWN and get dismounted when landing.

Comment by shellyfish

Honestly I'm kind of enjoying having dynamic flying mounts but static flying flight form on my Druid. Hope that's still an option. It literally says "Remember that you're able to toggle between Skyridding and Steady Flight easily in your mount journal."

Comment by GrimmHooke

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssss I am SUPER EXCITED about this update!

Comment by Physser

Not gonna lie, I was hoping they would just be separate flight forms, I enjoy using dragonriding for long distances while using normal flight form for moving around cities, questing, etc. 5s cast to switch between them is too long, idk if it's intented to be like that or if it's bc of technical needs. But 1s CD would make it feel better (with the ultimate goal being just separated forms which you can bind on different buttons like you have now).

Comment by dogstarrb

So glad to see this question answered!

Comment by Oneminutemonkey

ZOOMIE OWL. HOOT HOOT MOTHERFU----*sails out of sight* Though I'm glad we can still toggle for normal flight.

Honestly I'm kind of enjoying having dynamic flying mounts but static flying flight form on my Druid. Hope that's still an option. It literally says "Remember that you're able to toggle between Skyridding and Steady Flight easily in your mount journal." It does say that, but to me that reads that using the toggle will affect your Flight Form and your mounts together, so it's all or nothing. We need an option to have a Dragonriding mount while still using a static Flight Form. Not just one button that makes everything Dynamic flying or nothing Dynamic flying.

Comment by Viri

No druid worth their salt is going to bother using dragonriding in flight form when flight form is so handy for objectives and the entire playing the game part of the game. What an absolute waste of time.

Comment by 13ulbasaur

Very cool. I hope this means evokers get the regular flying option with the animations already in game!
