Outlaw Music Festival Tour 2024 Lineup Revealed

Willie Nelson & Family, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp  and more are among the lineup for this summer’s 2024 “Outlaw Music Festival Tour,” kicking off June 21 in Alpharetta, Georgia.

The 25-date tour also includes Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Brittney Spencer, Celisse and  Southern Avenue .  Billy Strings will also join the tour for one special show outside Seattle at The Gorge. Stops on this year’s trek include Charlotte, Raleigh, Virginia Beach, L.A., Spokane, Cincinnati and more through Sept. 17.

The Outlaw Music Festival Tour will return to the road this summer as Willie Nelson & Family welcome a star-studded lineup. Chris Stapleton , Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit , ZZ Top and more will be part of the tour, which launches June 24 in St. Louis and runs through Sept. 23, wrapping in Philadelphia.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 25, at 10 a.m. local time at each venue. VIP packages, which include premium seats and exclusive festival merch, will also be available.    The Outlaw Music Festival launched in 2016 in Scranton, Pa. That soldout show developed into a full-fledged touring franchise that has since welcomed artists including Robert Plant, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Eric Church, Bonnie Raitt, Luke Combs, Sheryl Crow and more.

Fresh off a thrilling, emotional performance at his annual Luck Reunion in Texas, Willie Nelson is once again gearing up to lead the multi-artist Outlaw Music Festival Tour in 2022. The summer package gets underway June 24 in St. Louis and features a rotating all-star cast of artists including Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit , Brothers Osborne , and Larkin Poe.

In addition to a headlining performance by Willie Nelson & Family, the opening show at St. Louis’ Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre includes supporting appearances by Isbell, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Charley Crockett, and Brittney Spencer. Other performers at various dates throughout the tour include Steve Earle & the Dukes, the Avett Brothers, Allison Russell, ZZ Top , Gov’t Mule, Zach Bryan, War and Treaty, and Billy Strings.

“The Outlaw Music Festival Tour has always been about family and friends coming together for a great day of music and fun, and with the amazing group of artists joining us, this year promises to be our most special Outlaw Tour to date,” Nelson said in a statement.

With 19 shows in total, the Outlaw Music Festival Tour 2022 will wrap up Sept. 23 in Philadelphia with Chris Stapleton in the supporting slot. Tickets go on sale March 25 at 10 a.m. local venue time.

Willie Nelson has detailed his 2023 Outlaw Music Festival Tour. Over the course of 32 shows taking place between June and October, the legendary outlaw country trailblazer will share the stage with Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, The Avett Brothers, Bob Weir, John Fogerty , Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, and Margo Price.

The 2023 Outlaw Music Festival Tour also features Gov’t Mule, Marcus King, Trampled By Turtles, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Kathleen Edwards, Flatland Cavalry, Kurt Vile And The Violators, Brittney Spencer, Whiskey Myers, and Particle Kid performing in select cities. Prior to launching the Outlaw Music Festival Tour, Nelson will celebrate his 90th birthday with a pair of all-star concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, featuring Kacey Musgraves , The Chicks, Neil Young, Snoop Dogg, and more. Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp set to headline Outlaw Music Festival Tour

A blockbuster lineup featuring Willie Nelson & Family , Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp is set to take the stage at the 2024 Outlaw Music Festival Tour, which kicks off later this year in Georgia.

The annual Outlaw tour, spearheaded by Nelson, has become a top draw on the summer circuit since its 2016 debut as a standalone event in Pennsylvania.

This year’s run, kicking off June 21 in Alpharetta, Georgia, will feature Nelson and Dylan on all dates, with Robert Plant & Alison Krauss and Michigan-bred Billy Strings slotted in on some other tour stops.

"This year's Outlaw Music Festival Tour promises to be the biggest and best yet with this lineup of legendary artists," Nelson said in a statement. "I am thrilled to get back on the road again with my family and friends playing the music we love for the fans we love."

If you ever had any doubt about where Steve Earle’s musical roots are planted, his new collection , So You Wannabe an Outlaw,  makes it perfectly plain.  “There’s nothing ‘retro’ about this record,” he states, “I’m just acknowledging where I’m coming from.”   So You Wannabe an Outlaw  is the first recording he has made in Austin, Texas.  Earle has lived in New York City for the past decade but he acknowledges, “Look, I’m always gonna be a Texan, no matter what I do. And I’m always going to be somebody who learned their craft in Nashville. It’s who I am.”

In the 1970s, artists such as Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Paycheck, Billy Joe Shaver and Tompall Glaser gave country music a rock edge, some raw grit and a rebel attitude. People called what these artists created “outlaw music.” The results were country’s first Platinum-certified records, exciting and fresh stylistic breakthroughs and the attraction of a vast new youth audience to a genre that had previously been by and for adults. In the eighties, The Highwaymen was formed by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and Waylon Jennings. Their final album  “The Road Goes On Forever” released in 1996 began with the Steve Earle song “The Devil’s Right Hand.”

Steve Earle’s 2017 collection,  So You Wannabe an Outlaw ,  is an homage to outlaw music. “I was out to unapologetically ‘channel’ Waylon as best as I could.” says Earle. “This record was all about me on the back pick-up of a Fender Telecaster on an entire record for the first time in my life.  The singing part of it is a little different. I certainly don’t sound like Waylon Jennings.”

“I moved to Nashville in November of 1974, and right after that Willie Nelson’s  Red Headed Stranger  came out. I was around when Waylon was recording [the 1975 masterpiece]  Dreaming My Dreams.    Guitar Town  (Earle’s 1986 breakthrough album) wound up being kind of my version of those types of songs,” Earle recalls.

«First acquaintance with Moscow» – a 2.5-hour city tour in the center of Moscow

This Moscow city tour starts on the Theater Square, past Lubyanka Square and the KGB-building, then through Kitay Gorod district and Varvarka Street, past the world-famous St. Basil’s Cathedral. Then it goes across Zarjadje Park, over Red Square at the Lenin Mausoleum, the GUM-department store and towards the Historical Museum. We walk through the Alexander Garden.

A 3.5-hour car/bus tour of Moscow.

This is the best tour of Moscow city as all the important sights are visited. I am your Moscow city guide who will walk you through the city explaining the charming history of the city. This tour begins with picking you up from the hotel. 3 breaks are offered for photographing.

First, we will visit the most famous riverside streets and bridges in the center of the city with the most beautiful views of the Kremlin and the Moskva River (e.g. the Kremlin embankment and the Great Stone Bridge).

The first photo break is made at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. We then pass by the district with numerous museums, Prechistinka Street and the district with numerous medical areas.

We again stop at the Novodevichy Convent, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the other bank of the Moskva River to click pictures.

Then we visit “Sparrow Hills” where you can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city of Moscow from the observation deck. Then there are the skyscrapers of Moscow-City, the Kutuzov avenue, the New Arbat, Tverskaya Street, the world-famous Bolshoi Theater, the KGB building and Varvarka Street. Here there are ample spots to click pictures.

We then drive past the Kremlin again and finally reach Red Square. We take a short tour of Red Square and say goodbye in the Alexander Garden.

Metro tour – daily

Palaces for ordinary people – that was what Stalin promised to the people when the construction of the Moscow Metro began between the World Wars. The communist dictator hadn’t promised too much. No other underground system in the world can boast such spectacular architecture – chandeliers, decorations, stucco, paintings on the walls – each station is individually designed. No wonder that Moscow residents love their metro. I will guide you through the bustle of one of the busiest subways in the world and show you the most beautiful stations Moscow city has.

After the Communist October Revolution in 1918, Moscow became the capital of the Soviet Empire and was the center of socialist orbit for more than 70 years. The city streets are full of remnants of the communist regime and the Cold War. This is a walking tour where I will show you the most exciting places in Soviet Moscow: from the notorious KGB headquarters, also known as Lubyanka to the Karl Marx Monument to small hidden remains from the time of hammer and sickle. You will also learn about Stalin’s Great Terror political campaign and the system of the GULAG and how the USSR, the communist Russian republic, became modern Russia.

Alternative Moscow Tour – daily

Explore the unseen Moscow with your Moscow private guide and discover a range of sights during this alternative walking tour.  Away from the main tourist spots (in the central district of Kitay-Gorod), just a short walk from Red Square and St. Basil’s Cathedral, you suddenly find yourself in one of the trendiest districts of Moscow. This place not only has trendy cafes and green squares, but here you can see the most beautiful spray works (according to Albrecht Dürer), hangout-places of the youth and hipsters, as well as learn what Moscow looked like in the 19th century. Here you will also learn exciting and even bloody stories about famous gangsters, eccentric business people and legends like the wandering preacher Rasputin, who is known in Russia either as the “holy devil” or the mad monk. To learn a little more about Moscow’s culture, this is the tour for you. On my alternative tour, you will get to know Moscow away from the tourist hotspots. A military tour – riding on tanks in Stupino (Moscow region)

Russian Military is one of the largest military forces in the world formed in 1992. With my Military Tour experience what it likes to be in the Russian military, shooting guns, ride the Tank T-34 and various models of German tanks from the Second World War, as well as armored personnel carriers and vehicles. You will also shoot from the AK-47 and another combat weapon.

The tour will begin with your private tour guide Moscow in a Soviet army van accompanied with some tasty snacks and tea for a tasty start. 1. i only have a 6 (or less) hours stopover, can i still visit the red square.

It strongly depends on the day of the week and time. If your 6 hours layover is at night - we can do it, but at day time we strongly advise against it, as you won't have enough time to enjoy the tour and be on-time back for your return flight. After all, we don't want you to miss your return flight.

2. The quoted price is per person?

The fares for our layover tour mentioned above are per vehicle, so it doesn't matter if you are a party of 2 or 3 (or 7) passengers, the fare stays the same.

3. Do I need a visa?

Almost certainly: Yes! In general, most Western citizen (e.g. European Union, UK, USA, Canada) need to obtain at least a transit or tourist visa in advance to enter the territory of the Russian Federation. If you're not sure if you need a visa, have a look at the Visa policy of Russia map or contact your local travel agency.

Country star Jelly Roll says he’s losing weight while training for an upcoming 5K race.

“I’m probably down 70-something pounds,” he told People magazine. ““I’ve been really kicking ass, man. I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I’m eating healthy right now.”

According to Billboard , the 39-year singer said he weighed more than 500 pounds in 2015. He didn’t say what exactly his current weight is, but he is training to participate in the 2 Bears 5K run, hosted by comedians Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura next month at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

“I feel really good. I was thinking, I plan on losing another 100, 100-and-something [pounds],” Jelly Roll told People. “If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour.”

Jelly Roll looked notably slimmer at the CMT Music Awards earlier this month, clearly making progress from a January video where he said he was aiming to do a “brisk power walk” and complete a mile in 15 minutes or less. In January he said that his wife, Bunnie Xo, can run much faster, but he hasn’t given an update on what his speed is now.

The country rap-rocker has also made headlines in recent weeks after saying he regrets most of his tattoos , including the face ink that helped him deliver a funny joke in a Super Bowl commercial with Jennifer Aniston, and a lawsuit by a Pennsylvania wedding band named Jellyroll that says it’s been using the name since 1980.

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, is a rapper and country singer from Tennessee known for his mix of hip-hop, rock and outlaw country music. He’s released more than a dozen albums over the past decade, featuring songs like “Son of a Sinner,” “Wild Ones” (with Jessie Murph), “Save Me” (with Lainey Wilson), “Need a Favor” and collaborations with Struggle Jennings, Yelawolf, Tech N9ne, Dustin Lynch, and Brantley Gilbert. He was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2024 Grammys and won New Artist of the Year at the 2023 CMA Awards.

Jelly Roll’s upcoming tour dates include two Upstate New York concerts on Sept. 24 at the MVP Arena in Albany and Oct. 6 at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo. Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster .

Dana Nessel tours housing development for people battling addiction

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel toured Andy’s Place Monday afternoon.

That’s a housing development for those dealing with substance abuse issues.

Nessel discussed how the opioid lawsuit settlement will help Jackson:

“When you have programs that, you know have been effective their evidence base, they’ve been tried and tested. Of course, you want to make sure that those are consistently funded but then it’s also a good idea to look at new projects like this where you know, we don’t have that many places like this all over the state when we need that to change,” Nessel said.
