Rent an RV near Leesburg , Florida

Mixed long term with some RV sites.

Staying a couple weeks so this worked well for us. We have a couple dogs and they have really nice dog runs. There were some manufactured homes here that looked run down. People here friendly and staff very nice and helpful.

Excellent retirement mobile home park.

We did camp in our rv there, they were most accommodating. We were invited, so l don't know if they take drive by overnighters. Very quiet, great neighbors.

From I-75, take Exit 328 for FL Turnpike. Go south 18 miles and and take Exit 296. Go east on County Rd 470 W/FL 48 to US Hwy 27 N. Go approximately 1 mile and turn left onto Country Rd 33. The park entrance will be on the right.

I think this is a wonderful little place in Florida! My grandma has a trailer here that she comes to every winter and I truly enjoy coming to stay with her. It's very quiet, the amenities are very nice, and everybody is so friendly! The village itself is very quiet, well kept, and clean. I love all the events and different activities happening nearly daily and the little restaurant up front is pretty good as well. Shout out to the chef, the home made corn beef hash was fantastic! I'll be back again next winter to visit grandma and enjoy some more time here with the residents!

An interesting mix of campsites with permanent onsite units (ie park models) in central Florida. They say most sites are level (flat) but bring leveling blocks as the community is sloped. Busy & popular with snowbird crowd. Prices are on par with other communities in area that offer similar amenities and activities. Campsites come with w/s/e (30/50 amp) and picnic table. Cable TV is offered for $. Bring your own raised fire pit and wood if you like campfires. Site are spacious (40 x 65) some areas are full sun, others are shaded. You're parking on grass / packed sand. Some campsites have concrete patios (remnants of older park trailer that has since been removed. Warning about concrete: it's not reinforced so don't park your rig on it. Also, concrete is at various heights on sites and some may find issues with their Rv stairs. Two heated swimming pools (indoor 18+ open 24/7, outdoor is daylight hrs) cafe for breakfast and/or lunch weekdays. People here are friendly and most will stop and talk with newcomers and offer help when needed. Complex has lots of function rooms and during winter season have a gazillion activities for adults to participate in. The community is a 55+ property, under 18 year olds are allowing a two week stay a year. About 2/3 of sites are permanent onsite with the other 1/3 open for Rv campers. And about 1/3 of sites are year round residents. We came for 1 month winter camping several years ago. Kept extending our stay and ended up buying a park model a few years later. We own unit but pay monthly lot rent and electricity. Property is on a canal which leads to Lake Harris.

This place is a favorite for me and my family has been coming here for 43 years! The people are very friendly and the place is well managed. I also love the activities and the amenities. Restrooms are being upgraded and public areas are clean & well maintained. I definitely recommend (if you can get a reservation)!

Great place to stay! Love this place! Great amenities & really friendly people!

Nice resort, Very wooden and country feel. Loved the adult pool and hot tub area for relaxing after a long day in the sun. There is a regular outdoor pool for adults/families as well. Security guard was nice and helpful. Major down side that prevents 5 star rating - when making the reservation THEY DO NOT NOTIFY YOU THAT THERE IS NO CHECK-IN AFTER 11PM!! BEWARE! this is because of their noise ordinance. This is fine and I respect that - however this should be communicated by them when making your reservation. We had tire and engine problems during our 300 mile trip that lead to our delayed arrival - causing us to arrive after 11pm. Unbeknown to us, we couldn't pull into our campsite - the security guard instead made us camp and sleep at their front gate forcing us to run off our generator all nite!! It appeared that this happened to another camper, who was camping outside the gate too - who arrived at 11:10pm - and was denied check-in as well. 10 minutes!?!? Management really needs to communicate their check in policy to all campers over the phone when making reservations and also via email confirmation. Many angry people!

Nice park with marina that leads to chain of lakes, they dont have slips for rent though. Lots to do here, love the indoor pool thats accually heated to nice temp. Only gripe I have is the ambulance company down the street go by all the time day and night blasting their sirens. Sounds like Im camping in NY city.

Jeez Louise what a beautiful RV Park. We just did an overnighter on our way to Ft. Lauderdale. Very pleasant staff at desk. Kathy and Lynda did a great job of getting us set up on a timely manner. Park is well laid out and easy to find your way around even as big as it is. Definitely worth the stay. Bathrooms are clean and well taken care of.

This place is expensive if you pay nightly ($50, which doesn't include cable or internet). Your only real option is to stay monthly. We stayed a month, then wanted to extend our trip by just a few days. They absolutely refused to give us an even slightly discounted rate even though we could have easily continued paying the electricity and there were dozens of empty lots at the time. That's just silly, it's simple customer service. It's outrageous that the $50 nightly rate doesn't even include cable!! (Not that they're cable selection is anything to write home about). I started out liking the place, but the fact that the office staff was completely unreasonable when it came to adding a few days onto our stay kind of soured the experience. It was also strange to see so many empty lots at the height of the busy season. I don't think this place is as great as it used to be.

We've been here a couple of days. And love it. We plan on expanding our stay for 6 weeks. Lots of activity and planning going on here.

Pets must be leashed at all times. Noisy pets will not be permitted. Please pick up after your pets and walk them only in designated areas. Pets are not to be left unattended inside or outside. When a pet owner is observed violating the above rules, a warning will be issued. If observed a second time, a fine of $25 will be imposed, or at the option of resort management, the pet owner may be required to leave the resort.

Vehicle Policy

Operators of all motorized vehicles must be of driver’s license age. Please observe the posted 10 mph speed limit at all times.

General Policies

1. PARKING Parking is limited to one unit per lot. Please park on your lot only. Motor homes, boats, boat trailers and utility trailers must be parked in the storage compound. (You will be allowed a few days to pack/unpack or repair your unit.) 2. EMPTY LOTS Please do not park or drive on empty lots. 3. VEHICLES Operators of all motorized vehicles must be of driver’s license age. Please observe the posted 10 mph speed limit at all times. 4. VISITORS All overnight visitors must be pre-registered with the office by the registered guest/resident. All fees associated with the visitor will be charged to the registered guest. Each overnight visitor will be charged $6/night. POS residents are allowed visitors for up to 2 weeks at no charge. 5. TRASH Only household garbage (in bags) is to be deposited in the dumpsters. Please deposit newspapers and aluminum cans in the proper recycle bins. Please check your map for dumpster and recycling locations. All leaves and grass clippings must be bagged, and will be picked up on a daily basis. 6. PETS Pets must be leashed at all times. Noisy pets will not be permitted. Please pick up after your pets and walk them only in designated areas. Pets are not to be left unattended inside or outside. When a pet owner is observed violating the above rules, a warning will be issued. If observed a second time, a fine of $25 will be imposed, or at the option of resort management, the pet owner may be required to leave the resort. 7. MAIL Post office boxes are available for residents and registered guests only. The box number will be the same as your lot number. Renters will be required to get a box at the Okahumpka or Leesburg Post Office. Holiday Travel Resort’s post office is located in the Ken Jones Center. Be sure to include your lot number and section as part of your address. 8. MESSAGES Messages will be posted on the message board in the main office. Only emergency messages will be delivered to your site. Please remember to check the board daily. 9. ACTIVITIES All facilities and organized activities are open to residents and registered guests. Please observe the posted rules and regulations for each activity. Some sporting equipment is also available for use at no charge. Please visit or call the main office at 352.787.5151 for additional details. 10. GOLF COURSE Practicing on the golf course is allowed when the course is not in use, but please do not hit balls off the greens. You are welcome to use the tee mats and there is an extra mat located near the back gate. Please observe the local rules printed on the scorecard at the first tee, located behind the Leisure Center. 11. STORAGE FACILITY Available for residents and registered guests only. The following may be stored: motor homes, travel trailers, utility trailers, boats and boat trailers. Please visit or call the main office at 352.787.5151 for more details. 12. DESIGNATED SALES AREA Only RVs and motor homes are allowed. 13. CLOTHES LINES Clothes lines are not permitted. An umbrella type clothes pole is permitted with approval. 14. FOR SALE SIGNS For Sale signs are not allowed in or around your unit. 15. PERMANENT ON SITE (POS) All units tied down must be skirted. Any changes or additions to your unit must be pre-approved and permitted by maintenance. Please notify maintenance before digging to avoid underground utilities. 16. INSURANCE Insurance is strongly recommended and should cover your park model, contents and golf cart.
