A weekly travel and culture show with Jeff Goldblum as your guide?

The producers behind The World According to Jeff Goldblum were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

Air date: Nov 12, 2019

I had to get that out of my system.

The reality is that the series, originally developed at National Geographic and now premiering as part of the initial rollout of the Disney+ streaming service, actually stands as a rather perfect example of a seemingly thin and silly premise that has exactly enough substance to stand on its own well after the sense of gimmickry has passed.

It’s probably better that the project migrated away from National Geographic, where the brand carries with it certain expectations pertaining to substance. It isn’t that the show lacks in substance, it’s just that at the end of every half-hour episode, the feeling or takeaway is much more the amusement and pleasure of having spent that time with a quirky presence and host than having actually learned anything.

Let’s get back to the gimmick. Each each episode features the Jurassic Park and The Fly star exploring a single topic that interests him. The four episodes sent to critics focus on ice cream, denim, sneakers and tattoos, of all things.

There are commonalities to the structure of each episode. Most half-hours start by connecting the week’s theme to Goldblum’s childhood in Pittsburgh — recollections that, coupled with vintage black-and-white pictures, make it clear that the weird and wonderful actor we now celebrate has, to some degree, been the same guy since he was a kid. They all include trippy animated segments touching on the history of the topic, whether it’s the origins of the first introduction of indigo to the cotton weave that became denim or how vulcanized rubber opened the door for sneakers. They all find Goldblum going to some communal event associated with the topic, ranging from specialized conventions to the bustling Rose Bowl Flea Market.

Related Stories

Disney over the top: bob iger bets the company (and hollywood's future) on streaming.

Then things get more intimate as he visits with a luminary in the field, figures who can be as generally visible and recognizable as Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield talking about ice cream or as relatively obscure as explorer Brit Eaton, who searches abandoned mines and Western outposts for discarded vintage blue jeans, which apparently have astonishing collector value. And finally, Goldblum personalizes the topic, which can mean designing his own pair of ultra-expensive sneakers or collaborating with Salt & Straw mad scientist Tyler Malek on a Goldblum-specific flavor of ice cream.

It’s all tied together with a big-picture theme, explaining the primal tie between humanity — or at least Jeff Goldblum — and the week’s topic. Sometimes episodes can be funny or silly, because Goldblum isn’t here to tell you that sneakers are serious. But sometimes they can carry some weight, like his acknowledgment (only partial, but still there) of Jewish discomfort with tattoos, but also cultures in which tattoos are connected and woven into every facet of life.

As a purely educational experience, The World According to Jeff Goldblum is only a limited success. Goldblum is boundlessly interested, but he isn’t a reporter and seemingly hasn’t been fed an agenda of inquiries, so his interviews tend toward enthusiasm instead of interrogation, while the animated historical segments tend to stick to a two-sentence summary of information. It’s fairly easy to come away from an episode feeling like on a fact-by-fact level, you gleaned little.

That just happens not to be what the show is going for and maybe if it had stayed on Nat Geo, that would have been a more reasonable expectation.

It’s a show that’s really about the nature and expression of curiosity, and it’s driven by the personality of its star, an actor who has made skepticism and erudite enthusiasm into his calling card. If there’s any real takeaway, it’s that traveling the country with Goldblum, poking around in different corners of obsession and fandom, is every bit as amusing as you would expect it to be. If you would expect it to be amusing. If you wouldn’t expect it to be amusing, this is not a show you’ll be watching anyway.

[Note that episodes were watched and this review was written before a recent interview with Goldblum, featuring hot-water-generating comments about Woody Allen, was released. That may well reduce the number of people who would expect this to be amusing.]

Goldblum is a lover of hugs. He’s eager to break into song at any moment. He’s a free-associating wizard, prone to interrupting conversations to launch into familiar poems or Shakespearean monologues. He believes that respecting the Fourth Wall is a choice and not a rule. He’s a lover of vintage slang, turtlenecks and prancing through nature like a gangly sprite. He’s connected to his Jewishness and his Rust Belt roots and yet it’s easy to imagine that wherever Goldblum has been, he’s been endearingly and off-puttingly unique. If nervous energy were a viable power source, The World According to Jeff Goldblum could keep the lights on in a small town. You could tell me that Goldblum was high for the entirety of the series and I’d believe you. You could tell me that he is a time-traveler who got separated from his bebop ensemble in 1951 and is experiencing the modern world through unsullied eyes and I’d believe that, too.

He is, genuinely or performatively, presenting himself as exactly the person you’d hope or think he is and no matter where he goes, people are excited or bemused to be in the presence of his Jeff Goldblum-ness.

Through four episodes, that presence has been more than enough to keep me entertained and engaged. I didn’t know that I needed to watch Goldblum play basketball with street hoops legends in Los Angeles or to see his visceral reaction to the entrancing vibration of a tattoo needle. And maybe I didn’t “need” to, but it turns out I definitely wanted to and I look forward to seeing what other oddities become essentials when you’re seeing the world according to Jeff Goldblum.

Premieres: Tuesday (Disney+)

Why Jeff Goldblum is in ‘a cycle of particularly appetized curiosity’

In honor of his new National Geographic documentary series the actor, musician and generally interested fellow talks science, human nature, being inquisitive—and whose brain he'd like to pick.

jeff goldblum travel show

Jeff Goldblum is curiosity itself made into tall, bespectacled human: eyes wide, posture keen, mouth agape, hand gestures expectant. It’s a quality he has famously leased to the big screen with an array of idiosyncratic, reactor-brained characters, be it Jurassic Park ’s ‘chaotician’ Dr Ian Malcolm,   Independence Day ’s MIT -schooled cable repair man David Levinson, or infamously doomed teleportation genius Seth Brundle in The Fly . These films have explored big subjects—from alien invasions, to ecologically questionable dinosaur resurrection, to risky scientific experiments: plenty for any interested mind to wrap itself around.

And Goldblum is an interested guy, for sure. Constantly referencing books he's reading, concepts he's investigating, peculiar things he's learned, asking questions—all articulated with that same physical exuberance, and perhaps a little eccentricity—which the world rather likes to reflect back. This is the man who, in 2017, was spotted in a diner van called 'Chef Goldblum' handing out free sausages in Sydney for the purposes of 'research' (we still don't know). Who reputedly kept a live fly as a pet on the set of The Fly so he could study its movements . Who still plays weekly-ish piano gigs with his jazz band, the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, at an eatery in Los Angeles . His face has been the subject of meme-mania. And when time came to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park , the statue erected near Tower Bridge in London wasn't of a T. rex, or a brace of marauding velociraptors—but a 25ft likeness of Goldblum reclining on an elbow, clad in black, shirt adrift. It says a lot.

Now, for a man apparently curious about the world and everything in it, he may have found his perfect vehicle. The Pennsylvania-born actor and musician —a man of 67 but who, by his own admission, is “still four years old in many respects”—is unleashing his personal brand of curiosity in a new   Disney+ show. But instead of going high-altitude and big-issue, he explores an eclectic and curiously domestic suite of subjects: Politics, disease, and crime are out. Bikes, pools, and tattoos are in. This is The World According to Jeff Goldblum —according to Jeff Goldblum.

jeff goldblum travel show

Your subjects—denim, gaming, ice cream, barbecue and so on—seem quite disparate, albeit universally experienced. Why these?

They’re disparate, eclectic, a mélange, a potpourri, a shepherd’s pie, with many surprises. I’d recently hosted three episodes of a National Geographic show called Explorer —and really loved them. That’s how this show came about. We thought we’d do familiar subjects in which we might be able to find something unexpected: historic, scientific, and something of the human connection, our own story, triggered by these things.

And also we wanted them to be triggers for my own fun, personal, Jungian odyssey   of self-discovery and story-making. We didn’t know what it was going to be.   That saucy title just evolved as we saw what the show became.

Are you curious about why you’re curious?

Having two kids, I am in a cycle of particularly appetized curiosity. My kids look around and they say, ‘What is this, why is this?’ Maybe it’s something you pass down. Or maybe our species has to be curious to be connected to the world. While making this show, I read these books by Yuval Noah Harari : Sapiens , Homo Deus , and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century . As Harari says, larger issues like climate change, the dangers of nuclear proliferation, and technological disruption can be solved only with global co-operation. It was always true that the only reason the human species proliferated and flourished was that we cooperated in groups and therefore were curious about each other.

jeff goldblum travel show

I did that show Finding Your Roots recently. I had not known anything about my family. Except where both grandfathers were from, Austria—and Russia, his name was Povartzik. He changed it to Goldblum when he came [to America] So I would be Jeff Povartzik. But they told me that all my people were 100% Ashkenazi Jews from the same area. Maybe there's something particular in that group.

You seem like a very optimistic guy… does anything bring you down?

Oh, there are plenty of things I get stimulated and inflamed about. I get outraged, angry, saddened. But there are things to be optimistic about. And generally, you know... we're all here for a fleeting time. One could take that as bad news, but you know that's the way it goes, there's something romantic about that. There's something that could cause us to be grateful in embracing the precious moment we find ourselves in. That's how I choose to take it, anyway.

jeff goldblum travel show

Some say because of the new ease of information acquisition, people are becoming less inquisitive...

Oh, do you think so? Real flesh and blood people of all ages do seem to be zombified or mesmerised by this [imitates a phone in his hand]… in LA they cross the street wandering diagonally with things in their ears so they can’t hear anything going on, disconnected... But you know, I take a lot of technology excitedly. I like the idea of change, mostly. You can get a lot of information from technology, and it can be used in many cases for our benefit. That’s a larger question, but my journey on this show is very much a face-to-face thing, which I like.

And I learned a lot. I was humbled, impressed, and sometimes alarmed, but otherwise enhanced and nourished by my interaction with people. And I like that, it’s why I got into acting. The ‘technology of interaction’.

Speaking of interaction –   if you could time travel, who would you want to meet?

I just started reading The Invention of Nature , about Alexander von Humboldt . They say more things are named after him than anybody else. He predicted climate change challenges, the unintended consequences of civilization, the industrial revolution. I bet his would be a good brain to pick.

jeff goldblum travel show

That’s kind of the show in a nutshell: It’s me, not pretending to know any more than I do, but getting interested, talking to interesting people who come from an unexpected place, and having a curious and fun encounter with them. And letting my mind, such as it is, roam free.

Jeff Goldblum on exploring the world in his new show

November 27, 2019 / 11:46 AM EST / CBS News

Jeff Goldblum first came to New York City when he was 17 years old to study acting at the famed Neighborhood Playhouse. Soon after, he made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning musical "Two Gentlemen of Verona," and has since starred in many major films including "Jurassic Park," "The Fly" and "Independence Day."

Now, the actor will play himself. In his new show on Disney+, "The World According to Jeff Goldblum," he explores the world through his always unique perspective.

Goldblum told CBS This Morning's Tony Dokoupil at the Empire State Building on Wednesday about the range of seemingly familiar subjects he found surprising stories within for the show. According to Goldblum, he explores everything from sneakers to ice cream.

For an episode on pools, Goldblum said he went to Raging Waters – his first time ever at a water park – and spoke to NASA astronauts. Goldblum visited NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab in Houston, Texas, to test out a huge pool they use to train astronauts for zero gravity. It has a replica of the International Space Station at the bottom.

"I talked to a couple of astronaut trainees, women, spectacular women who were at the end of their two-year program, went for six hours in their space suits in order to simulate weightlessness in order to do their work. I put on fins and snorkel and went in with them," Goldblum said.

"One of them told me a very interesting thing. … Everybody who's been up there for like four or five months – only men, not the women who have been up there – but the men come back with something wrong with their right eye. Not their left eye, but always their right eye," he said. "They have no idea what's going on with it."

"We learned a lot of interesting stuff," he added.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum review: Sneakers

The World According to Jeff Goldblum review: Sneakers

The World According to Jeff Goldblum is one of the first new original Disney+ series to hit the new streaming network. The first episode, Sneakers, hit on the day of launch with the rest of the series hitting every Friday, starting on November 15.

If there is one thing to say about The World According to Jeff Goldblum, it is that this series is “pure unfiltered Jeff Goldblum.”

As Goldblum said in the premiere, “When you explore the ordinary, sometimes you might just discover the extraordinary.”

So, what does Jeff Goldblum discover in the first episode? The multi-million dollar industry of sneakers.

Jeff Goldblum starts off looking at sneakers strung over electrical wires and then takes viewers inside Sneaker Con, where millions of dollars change hands over seven hours just for sneakers.

He speaks to a young child who has paid $1,700 for a pair of sneakers and an old man who paid $15,000 for a collectible pair.

As only Goldblum could do, he takes viewers back millions of years to an era where trees develop protection from bugs. He then jumps to 1844, where chemist Charles Goodyear takes this protected wood and learns how to manufacture rubber — which leads to the future creation of sneakers.

Honestly, the best part about The World According to Jeff Goldblum comes from the charisma of Jeff Goldblum.

Outside of Sneaker Con, he also headed to Oregon and the Adidas headquarters to learn how they design sneakers. He also learns he “bops” and doesn’t actually run.

He plays some pickup basketball and learns that his sneakers need to match his entire outfit and that he has committed a faux pas.

This leads him to Dominic Ciambrone, the famous Shoe Surgeon. This man has made custom sneakers for everyone from Justin Bieber to LeBron James and has been creating these since high school. He agrees to make Goldblum a pair.

Finally, Goldblum heads to Sneaker YouTuber Jacques Slade, who has millions of views for people watching him open boxes of sneakers, explaining that the dopamine levels are highest when opening a gift or a new box.

The episode culminates with Jeff Goldblum opening his custom made sneakers and his response to the new shoes made specifically for him.

By the end, this was a quick and enjoyable 30-minute episode and if they all play out like this, Jeff Goldblum will be can’t miss television on Disney+.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum dropped its first episode on Nov. 12 and will release all subsequent episodes on Fridays.

Jeff Goldblum Gets His Own Travel Show ‘The World According To Jeff Goldblum’

Jeff Goldblum Gets His Own Travel Show ‘The World According To Jeff Goldblum’

Tobias Handke

Along with debuting the first trailers for Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker and the Disney+ series The Mandalorian , the third-biggest surprise to come out of Disney’s D23 Expo was the trailer for Jeff Goldblum’s new travel show. Yeah, a bit of a step away from fantasy space dramas, isn’t it?

The World According To Jeff Goldblum is a 12-part series from National Geographic following the eccentric actor as he travels the globe discovering and learning about things that most intrigue him. The Jurassic Park actor discusses and investigates his favourite denim and sneakers, while also researching ice cream, tattoos, synchronised swimming and line dancing.

“I’m not here to be didactic or professorial in any way,” Goldblum says in the trailer. “I know nothing – that’s the premise. I’m a humble student and, in fact, kind of a late bloomer… a late Gold-bloomer.”

The show is sure to appeal to anyone who enjoys a bit of Goldblum in their life – which is more or less everyone, really – with the actor having become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon over the years thanks to his eclectic fashion sense, unique film choices, extensive vocabulary and charming personality.

Everything We Know About Kaos

Neurosis sets in, setting him off on a dangerous, paranoid path. Zeus becomes convinced his fall is coming – and starts to see signs of it everywhere."

Here, everything we know about Kaos :

Jeff Goldblum leads the cast.

Jeff Goldblum is ready for his kids to get jobs.

The actor, 71, revealed that his children — Charlie, 8, and River, 6 — will have to support themselves when they get older. The “Jurassic Park” star shares his sons with wife Emilie Livingston, 41.

“Hey, you know, you’ve got to row your own boat,” he recalled telling them when he recently appeared on the iHeartPodcast “Table for Two With Bruce Bozzi.”

“It’s an important thing to teach kids. I’m not going to do it for you. And you’re not going to want me to do it for you,” he continued.

Jeff Goldblum and Emilie Livingston arrive at the Vanity Fair Oscar party after the 96th Academy Awards in March 2024.

“You’ve got to figure out how to find out what’s wanted and needed and where that intersects with your love and passion and what you can do. And even it if doesn’t, you might have to do that anyway.”

Goldblum and Livingston married in 2014. Four years later, the “Asteroid City” star opened up about being an older dad in an interview with iNews.

“I keep doing the math, and keep extrapolating where they’re going to be, and where I’m going to be. And when I buy a watch, I wonder who’s going to get it,” he said at the time.

“I’m glad I waited. It feels great to do it right now, because all the things I’m considering are perfectly suited to the big questions and challenges of having kids, and what you want to expose them to,” he added. “What you want to leave them with, what life is, and what kind of life you contribute to them.”

Jeff Goldblum discusses "Wicked" at CinemaCon 2024.

Goldblum isn’t alone with not wanting to leave his fortune to his kids. Over the years, Guy Fieri, Marie Osmond and Mick Jagger have publicly said that their money will stay with them.

“The children don’t need $500 million to live well. Come on,” the Rolling Stones musician told the Wall Street Journal in September 2023. “You maybe do some good in the world.”

One month later, Osmond exclusively told The Post that leaving her children with her inheritance would be harmful.

“They don’t learn the joy of hard work, of picking themselves up when things don’t work. I believe in general that you rob children of the experience of figuring out who they are,” she noted. “They don’t learn that you cannot buy your child self-esteem — they have to earn that.”

Jeff Goldblum has (finally) made his Met Gala debut!

The Wicked star made his first-ever appearance at fashion's biggest night of the year on Monday, May 6, flashing his signature charm as he walked the red carpet in New York City.

Goldblum, 71, opted for a loose-fitting black suit over a white shirt and black vest, accessorizing with a white ribbon-style bow tie and cream-colored scarf and holding a pair of ivory gloves.

He also rocked two sparkly floral-like brooches from Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany, perfect for the "Garden of Time" dress code, as well as a Tiffany Cocktail Watch and another emerald accessory — perhaps a nod to his character of the Wizard in the upcoming two-part Wicked movie adaptation ?

The actor appeared to attend the Met Gala without wife of nearly 10 years Emilie Goldblum , as he walked the red carpet solo on Monday night.

Goldblum's Wicked costars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were also in attendance at the star-studded affair, trading in the yellow brick road for the red carpet. The two will play Glinda and Elphaba, respectively, in the movie.

Speaking with Vogue at the Met Gala about the upcoming two-part musical film adaptation, directed by Jon M. Chu , Grande, 30, said, "I wish I could say more than I can" — but promised that fans would learn more "very soon."

"I will say, it was just the most extraordinary, transformative and beautiful experience I've ever had in my life," she added. "I love the project now so much more than I ever did, and I've loved it since I was 10 years old."

Grande also praised costar Erivo, 37, saying, "Getting to know and love her has changed my life."

While Goldblum is known mostly for his decades-long career in film and musical prowess, the Jurassic Park star is also no stranger to the fashion world.

Back in January 2022, he walked the runway for Prada's Fall/Winter 2022 Menswear Show at Milan Fashion Week, along with fellow veteran actor Kyle MacLachlan  and rising Hollywood leading men  Thomas Brodie-Sangster ,  Asa Butterfield ,  Damson Idris ,  Tom Mercier ,  Jaden Michael ,  Louis Partridge ,  Ashton Sanders  and Filippo Scotti.

MacLachlan, 65, opened the show wearing a classic dark overcoat, layered over a metallic-blue ensemble, complete with gloves and a white turtleneck with yellow and purple details.

Goldblum wore a similar coat adorned with a black fur trim above the elbows and at the hem. He closed out the event with a taste of his signature comedic chops, entering from a purple-lit tunnel and acting surprised to find himself in a fashion show before strutting down the zigzag runway.

Jeff Goldblum says it's 'important' for his young children to learn independence: 'Row your own boat'

As a 71-year-old father of two, Jeff Goldblum knows a thing or two about parenting.

During an appearance on the iHeartPodcast show " Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi ," the "Jurassic Park" star had an open conversation with host Bruce Bozzi about his approach to raising his two young sons, whom he shares with wife Emilie Livingston.

Goldblum – who is dad to Charlie, 8, and River, 6 – said he plans on telling his kids, "Hey, you know, you've got to row your own boat."

In a 2018 interview with iNews , Goldblum opened up about his decision to become a dad later in life.

"I keep doing the math, and keep extrapolating where they’re going to be, and where I’m going to be. And when I buy a watch, I wonder who’s going to get it," he said. "I’m glad I waited. It feels great to do it right now, because all the things I’m considering are perfectly suited to the big questions and challenges of having kids, and what you want to expose them to. What you want to leave them with, what life is, and what kind of life you contribute to them."

Goldblum isn't the only celebrity who shares the same sentiment.

Marie Osmond previously said leaving her children a big inheritance would only "harm" them.

In an interview with Fox News Digital last year, Osmond doubled down on her statement.

"I just think you rob them of finding who they are, and self-worth can't be bought," she shared. "That's my opinion. I believe that, when I leave this life, I want my children to know that they can take care of themselves."

The former "Donny & Marie" star clarified that she has helped her children financially throughout their lives.

"Does that mean I'm not helping them along the way? Of course not. My children are all – they have wonderful jobs that they love. They're very passionate, and I'm so proud of each and every one of them," Osmond said.

Jeff Goldblum, 71, reveals why he refuses to leave any of his $40million fortune to his kids

The jurassic park star shares two children with  emilie livingston.

Faye James

At 71, Jeff Goldblum holds a vision for his children that is as distinctive as his on-screen personas.

The Jurassic Park star recently revealed his earnest hope for his sons, Charlie, eight, and River, six, to carve out their own paths in life, independent of his estimated $40 million fortune.

During an insightful conversation on the Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi  iHeart Podcast, Jeff opened up about his parenting philosophy, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance and personal endeavor.

"Now that I'm raising kids, I'm no conventionalist, but I know the system that we're in, and I think sooner than later, I don't want to scare them, they should figure out... but hey, you know, you've got to row your own boat," he shared.

Bruce, resonating with Jeff's perspective, underscored the significance of such teachings, to which Jeff added, "I'm not going to do it for you. And you're not going to want me to do it for you."

He elaborated on the essential life skills he wishes to impart: "You've got to figure out how to find out what's wanted and needed and where that intersects with your love and passion and what you can do. And even if it doesn't, you might have to do that anyway."

Jeff's own journey to stardom was fueled by a deep-seated passion for acting, a dream he pursued with quiet determination.

He reminisced about his early aspirations, telling Bruce, "I would write on the steamy glass shower door every morning, when I was taking a shower before school, 'Please God let me be an actor.' And then it was a secret, I didn't even tell my parents and I'd wipe it off before I left."

Jeff is a father of two kids

He likened his hidden ambition to "secret fries," a private indulgence known only to him.

This same resolve and dedication not only propelled Jeff into a highly successful acting career, with iconic roles in major films that built up his comfortable nest egg, but also shaped his perspective on parenting.

Jeff and his wife, Emilie Livingston, whom he met in a serendipitous encounter at the Equinox gym on Sunset Blvd., are parents to two boys. Emilie, an accomplished rhythmic gymnast who competed in the 2000 Olympics for Team Canada, shares Jeff's vision of nurturing independence and resilience in their children.

Jeff Goldblum as Zeus in Kaos

In an interview with Today, Jeff opened up about the joys and challenges of becoming a parent later in life, describing parenthood as "amazing, it's revivifying, and makes my relationship with Emilie, frankly, enhanced." He spoke admiringly of Emilie, highlighting her strength and heroism in her new role as a mother. "Seeing (my wife) in this new role is unbelievable. She's heroic beyond imagination," he expressed with heartfelt enthusiasm.

However, Jeff also acknowledged the demanding aspects of fatherhood, admitting that it can be both "challenging" and "maddening" at times. "It's sometimes very volatile...they can be like feral creatures unleashed," he remarked, candidly sharing the less glamorous side of parenting.

Emilie Livingston, sons Charlie Ocean Goldblum and River Joe Goldblum

Who are Jeff Goldblum's children?

The Hollywood star proudly announced Charlie's birth on July 7, 2015, with a touching Facebook post that celebrated his arrival on Independence Day, the Fourth of July. "We're so excited to share the wonderful news of the birth of our son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum, born on the 4th of July. Independence Day," he wrote, sharing his joy alongside a photo with his wife, Emilie Livingston, and their newborn son.

River was welcomed into the world on April 7, 2017, and Emilie shared the news a week later on Instagram. "I can't believe it's been a week already! River Joe Goldblum was born 4/7/17 at 8:53 am," she announced. She also expressed her happiness over their growing family, noting, "Charlie Ocean is such a sweet and caring older brother. We couldn't be happier!!! @jeffgoldblum is our rock and continues to be an exceptionally loving and passionate father! Love my boys!!!"

The family recently enjoyed a picturesque trip to Tuscany, Italy, where Emilie posted photos from their time at the charming agriturismo of @villalena. "The best of times in the artful and poetical agriturismo of @villalena. Flower arrangement classes with my bestie and lovin up on my babes running freely in the Tuscan countryside!" she captioned her post, depicting a blissful family life enriched with cultural experiences.

Who is Jeff Goldblum's wife, Emilie Livingston?

Jeff Goldblum and Emilie Livingston attend the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Emilie, Jeff's wife, is a multifaceted talent and former Olympic rhythmic gymnast who represented Canada in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Born in 1983 in Etobicoke, Toronto, Canada, Emilie has not only competed at an elite level, placing 17th in the Olympics, but she has also excelled in dance and performing arts.

According to People, rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only event that beautifully melds traditional dance with artistic gymnastics, utilizing apparatus such as ribbon, hoop, ball, and clubs, with performances set to music that can include vocals.

Emilie's engagement to Jeff was joyously announced in 2014, and the couple tied the knot on November 8, 2014, at the iconic Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Beyond her athletic achievements, Emilie has also made her mark in the entertainment industry as a skilled body double.

She notably substituted for Rihanna's character in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) and for Emma Stone's character in La La Land (2016). Her talents further shone through when she performed as a solo aerialist at the 88th Annual Academy Awards in 2016 for The Weeknd's Oscar-nominated song, Earned It.

Aside from her impressive career, Emilie is passionate about cooking and often shares her favorite recipes on social media, offering a glimpse into her culinary skills and family life.
