To be covered by this policy we assume:

  • This policy is only available to UK residents who are registered with a doctor in the UK.
  • You are travelling from and returning to the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, or Isle of Man and you are not already travelling.
  • You do not have any symptom or condition for which you have not had a diagnosis.
  • You are not travelling with the intention of obtaining medical treatment.

You should note that the policy will NOT cover you if:

  • You reside outside of the United Kingdom;
  • For Jet2 Holidays policy holders, you are not over the age of 85 if you have purchased a Single Trip policy and over 70 if you have purchased an Annual Multi-trip policy. 
  • For Jet2.com policy holders, you are not over the age of 75 if you have purchased a Single Trip policy and over 75 if you have purchased an Annual Multi-trip policy. 
  • You require cover for a Cruise;
  • You require Winter Sports cover but are over the age of 60, or you have not paid the appropriate extra premium and selected the winter sports option for medical screening;

You are not registered with a General Practitioner in your home country.

Cover is provided for single trips up to 365 days and on an Annual policy any number of trips in the policy year but limited to 31 days per trip.

Don’t get holiday insurance from here they use axa and recently away on a holiday needed doctor’s treatment urgently paid £1300 few days later was felt better and enjoyed rest of holiday. On return contacted them with all the paperwork invoices from doctors for them to take over 4 months to say they won’t pay me out due to been an ongoing case. I had a viral infection in my throat which is nothing I have ever had before so avoid like the plague bunch of rip of merchants. Jet 2 holiday was good though flights prices and accommodation just the insurance not worth paper it’s written on.

Jet2 have a brilliant team working like a well oiled machine, from the checking in, including the twilight check in and the hotel check-in luggage collection. The special assistance team sort it all for help for disabled and their carers. From start to finish a stress free holiday.

El Sombrero apartments, Los Gigantes

We have just holidayed at El Sombrero Apartments in Los Gigantes, Tenerife. The apartment was very clean and roomy with a large balcony. We have stayed at these apartments quite a few times and always have a great experience, the pool is very welcomed as is the smaller childrens pool. The apartments are well sited close to the village and also to quality restaurants, and the bus terminus, very friendly staff who made our stay very pleasing.

Forget their Insurance

Forget their Insurance, it's a painful process manned by untrained staff who cant interpret any existing conditions. It was like talking to an uneducated person. If you need insurance for anything another than a slip or fall look elsewhere. Dont waste an hour of your life.

AVOID at all costs !

I purchased travel insurance for a ski trip in March 22 and unfortunately had to make a claim. Initially they were helpful and got me back to the UK. Then things started to go wrong, and Jet2 washed their hands of the complaints as they were not the 'insurance company' . The claims were then dealt with by Reactive claims , who eventually paid for some of the smaller costs. The cost of rescue and ambulance transfer however has not been paid and has ended up with the rescue company threatening the bailiffs to start procedures! Reactive Claims are now passing the buck to Mayday Assistance who according to them 'should have paid' . But I have not had a single response from Mayday, and now Reactive claims have stopped responding. I am now having to go to the small claims court to get back money owed! How Jet 2 have the audacity to sell a service that isn't fit for purpose is beyond me. Please do not purchase the insurance Jet 2 offer.

They just dont give a ***t

I am in the middle of trying to change or cancel a holiday due to the appalling reviews that are now available on the hotel. Lots of guests vomiting and dreadful sewerage smell around, guest saying most drinks and food undrinkable/inedible......brilliant just what I need. Unfortunately all they're saying is 'theres been no complaints from that end....so basically go, dont eat or drink and hope to god you dont get ill, and blow a few thousand into the bargain.....FABULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE JET 2...You are on top of your game!

If I could give nil stars I would!

If I could give nil stars I would for jet2 insurance. Do not take out their insurance at any cost. Father in law died suddenly one day before departure. Jet2 insurance which is subcontracted would not pay out our 3k as we didn’t declare he was on heart medication. At no time we’re we asked of our relatives medical conditions only our own. It was a sudden death but still no pay out even with gp letter indicating unexpected death. No chance of appeal, 3k lost - never use Jet2.com insurance please.

Terminal 2 is atrocious

Just returned from Sandos Suites Benidorm fabulous hotel and holiday but please get a grip of Manchester Airport terminal 2. On entry to terminal 2 no signage indicating where the Jet2 check in or any operators where but we found you tucked away at the end. Our boarding gate 203 was located after a 6000 step plus hike along seat less corridors atrocious, ruined the start of our holiday as it affected my mobility for the first 3 days of our holiday.

Jet2 .. Customer Care..Does not exist.

Delayed over 6hrs flight back to Uk in October. Not sure how Jet2 Customer Service operates. There appears to be no Rhyme of Reason. Application sent for Delay Claim. Despite asking many questions all we get is Generic Emails in reply. ( I am sure I will get a generic email back in reply to this posting ) We are just a reference number in their system, ! One positive result. We will never ever book with Jet2 again.

Give this company a miss

So far I am into my 10th week of my claim and do not seem to be near a settlement. I was referred to Rock insurance and then in turn to AXA. I have so far had 7 email requests for information, some duplicated. The latest being a request for my medical records going back 2 years. My claim related to an injury I sustained which prevented me flying. Initially I sent a medical certificate signed by my GP which apparently was not good enough. From my experiences I would advise not to insure with this company.

Woefully inadequate customer service

Woefully inadequate customer service, we were advised whilst on holiday that there was a problem with the supply of prebooked meals. Advised to contact customer services. We did and were informed that they were unaware of any issues. When we got on the aircraft the stewardess advised that booked meals we re unavailable, but they could offer an alternative but we had to pay for it and Jet2 we reimburse the money paid for booked meals. Nearly 10 weeks later and we still haven't received a refund, despite several phone calls. The promise of investigating and calling back, never to get a call back. We have subsequently emailed and fobbed off with standard prepared response. It's only £20.50 but Jet2 are doing everything they can to avoid returning our money, absolutely no customer service from this rapacious company.

This was our first time with Jet2 and…

This was our first time with Jet2 and was very disappointed with our hotel.The hotel was supposed to be a 4 star the complex needed some attention some of staff where friendly but on the whole u could tell it was end of season.OnThe website it showed two restaurants but on arrival one had already closed and the one that was open was not good food very basic and the same every night .I was ill very sick and on the toilet I spoke to another lady staying she said she had been ill twice and she said that she had spoken to a few people that had .My husband on one evening had chicken but when he cut into it it was very very pink not cooked so he couldn't eat it .our room was supposed to be superior but first night the shower flooded the whole bathroom.the cleaners didn't make the bed and cleaning wasn't great real shame as was definitely looking forward to our holiday would definitely not recommend this hotel

Thank you Jet 2! After taking my money for a Toyota Corolla hire car, or similar and fobbing me off with a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon behemoth, (so similar to a Corolla and ideal for a 75 year old couple NOT) meaning my holiday was very underwhelming. Then taking my money for reserved seats and not providing them. Then after c.three months of emails full of your excuses, I finally receive £11.00 in compensation for my trauma and disappointment. Gee thanks. Caveat emptor!

Useless travel insurance

Useless travel insurance. I was in an accidentent and needed immediate surgery. It became very costly and instead of trying to help us they could not answer a simple yes or no question and were actively searching for multiple ways to decline our claim. We were sent from department to department, linked to AXA and ROCK insurance as noone could give us a straight answer. All of or life savings are gone and all they did was leave us stranded. They insulted the highly qualified surgeons by implying their doctors knew better and were in the process of rejecting our claim this way until they found a different way. We ended up paying all of the costs out of our own pocket. Disgusting company

Please do not use Jet2 Insurance, dreadfull company, I've finally received my reduced air fare after 12 months of waiting for a part refund of my airfare. My claim was straight forward and it didn't matter. Never use Jet2 ever again.

Tge 4th time we have used Jet2 and found the website easy to navigate and the whole process was easy and quick. We were kept in touch all the way to our holiday and beyond. Apart from a small problem with the Hotel rep not showing when he was supposed to, the holiday experience was a good one .

£99 Excess for a flight cancellation due to a Bereavement

I had to cancel my flight to Turkey as my mam suddenly passed away due to cancer. I took out jet 2 insurance in which I put a claim in for due to a bereavement. This has now been ongoing for a month and i received a phone call last night saying that I would get my payout of £269 for my flight. I then received an email and my payout now is £170 as I've been charged a whopping £99 excess. WHAT A JOKE!! Where is your empathy jet 2 AXA insurance. I would never use this company again for insurance steer well clear.

Really bad service

Really bad service. A complete waste of money. Having had the issue resolved by Jet2 Rock called today to reiterate the issue is not resolved, neither has anybody with any autonomy. Do not insure your holiday with Jet2/Rock insurance South Africa!

Jet2 insurance scam

Booked with jet2 and took there insurance out. What a waste of time and money. My wife’s mother passed away suddenly less then a week before we were due to fly. We obviously cancelled our holiday. Contacted jet2 who told us to put a claim in to AXA jet2 insurance. Says we are covered but for some reason when we put a claim in we are not covered and was told unfortunately your claim has been declined. Asked for reasons but they won’t give a proper answer. DO NOT USE JET2 INSURANCE!! They seem more like scammers then a reputable company. Bad enough losing a loved one but having to swallow a near £3000 loss as well. Disgusted by them!
