Arrive at coimbatore – madurai (1 night) (230kms/ 5hrs approx.).

Welcome to Coimbatore and proceed to Madurai -located on the banks of River Vaigai. On arrival visit the Meenakshi temple - one of the biggest temple complexes in India. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Madurai.

Madurai – Rameshwaram (1 Night) (175Kms/ 3hrs approx.)

After breakfast, proceed to Rameshwaram - situated in the Gulf of Mannar at the tip of the Indian peninsula. Visit Dhanushkodi and Adam’s Bridge. Overnight at Rameshwaram.

Rameshwaram – Chettinad – Thanjavur (1 Night) (255 Kms/ 5hrs approx.)

After breakfast, proceed to Thanjavur. Enroute we visit Brihadeeshwara Temple. On arrival at Thanjavur, rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at Thanjavur.

Thanjavur – Coimbatore (1 Night) (275 Kms/ 6hrs approx.)

Cancellation Policy & Payment Terms

• If the Guest decides to cancel the tour for any reason whatsoever then s/he shall give a written application to the Company within specified time limit along with original receipt issued by the Company. Such cancellation will attract cancellation charges stated hereunder.
• Cancellation charges will be calculated on gross tour cost and the cancellation charges shall depend on date of departure and date of cancellation
• Cancellation charges for any type of transport ticket are applicable as per the rules of the concerned authority.
• Air tickets issued on special fares are NON REFUNDABLE and Guest shall bear cancellation charges.
• Any refund payable to the Guest will be paid after the Company receives refund from the respective authorities. The Company deducts processing charges from the refund to be paid to the Guest.

Payment Terms

• Airlines/Room up-gradation and complimentary will not be entertained during the tour unless if specified at the time of booking.
• There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.
• Security deposit is required either in cash or credit card by hotels which is refundable provided no room incidentals are incurred. This security deposit is not included in this quote and must be paid by the guests/corporate directly to the hotel when checking in.
• Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing. The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle . If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same.

Explore the ancient temples and rich cultural heritage of South India with the Trichy, Madurai, Rameshwaram & Thanjavur Temples Private Tour. This 5-day tour takes you on a journey through some of the most stunning temples in the region, including the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Meenakshi Temple, Ramanathaswamy Temple, and Brihadeshwara Temple. You'll also visit the historical Thirumalai Nayakar Palace and the scenic Adams Bridge, among other sites, for an immersive experience of the Tamil Nadu region.

Day 1: Arrive Trichy

Upon arrival at Trichy airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you in your transfer to the hotel. After checking in, you will visit the famous Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, which is the largest functional temple in the world. The temple complex covers an area of 156 acres, with 22 gopurams and is renowned for its impressive architecture. You will also visit the Rock Fort Temple, which is perched on a 3800 million-year-old rock and is one of the oldest in the world. Finally, you will visit the Jambukeswarar Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which features five concentric walls and seven gopurams. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Trichy - Madurai (140kms)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed to Madurai, where you will check in at the hotel. Your first stop will be the Meenakshi Temple, one of the largest temple complexes in India, which is renowned for its intricate sculptures and beautiful ceremonies. You will also visit the Thirumalai Nayakar Palace, which is an excellent example of the blend of Dravidian and Rajput styles. Additionally, you will visit Alagar Koil, Tiruparankundram Murugan Temple, and Palamuthirsolai Murugan Temple. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Madurai - Rameshwaram (170kms)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed to Rameshwaram, where you will check in at the hotel. Your first stop will be the Ramanathaswamy Temple, which is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples and features the world's longest corridor and immaculate carvings on the pillars. You will also visit Lakshmana Tirtham, which was constructed in memory of Lord Lakshman, brother of Lord Rama, and has beautiful marble sculptures of Lord Lakshmana, Lord Rama, and Goddess Sita. Additionally, you will visit Adams Bridge, which is a chain of reefs, sandbanks, and islets that almost connects Sri Lanka with India. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Rameshwaram - Thanjavur (250kms)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed to Thanjavur. En route, you will visit Chettinad, which is renowned for its 19th-century mansions that are adorned with marble, teak, and decorative items that were imported from East Asian countries and Europe. Upon arrival in Thanjavur, you will check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Thanjavur - Trichy (60kms)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the famous Brihadeshwara Temple, which was built in the 10th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also visit the Vijayanagar Fort, which was built by Nayaks and Maratha rulers during the early 1550 AD. Finally, you will visit the Thanjavur Art Gallery and the Saraswathi Mahal Library, where over 30,000 palm leaf and paper manuscripts are preserved. Later, you will proceed to Trichy, where you will be dropped off at the airport for your onward destination.

• Ailton007 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Amazing wildlife and flawless execution Communication was easy via WhatsApp. All driver appointments, safari bookings and the Evolve Back Kabini resort were exactly as advertised, with the beautiful resort and safaris a true highlight. I stayed two nights and went on one boat and three land safaris in Nagarhole. This is the perfect amount if you want to maximize your chances to see i.e. tigers and get to drive in different areas of the park. I was also able upon asking to change from a canter to a jeep safari and do a stop at Mysore to see the palace on the way back to Bangalore (paid extra) which was no problem. It is hard to describe and to understand how these caves were built, dated from the 2nd century BC, you just have to go and see for yourself! We would not hesitate to book again any tour in India through Agora Voyages. They were very professional, responding to emails quickly, giving advise and the payment system worked perfectly (can sometimes be a problem in India). Not only was the experience incredible since we travelled by car with our own driver, Mr Binabi Vinay Kumar, which allowed us to see this part of India so closely, but also gave us the opportunity to stop and have lunch at the small restaurants along the road and savor the habits of its people. Rajasthan is a beautiful region of the country. It has so many different landscapes to appreciate and in each city or town we visited we had our own local English speaking guides who were highly qualified not only on the cultural and historical aspects of the sites and monuments but each one gave us many insights to the cultural life that we otherwise wouldn't ever have known. The most beautiful experience, however, was The Taj Mahal in Agra. We saw it at sunrise when the first rays hit this amazing masterpiece of human craftsmanship. The tour lasted for 24 days starting in Delhi then in Rajasthan finishing in Agra. Booked an 11 day tour (Hubbali, Hampi, Badami, Aihole, SolaPur aurangabad) I contacted Sashi at Agora and he basically took care of everything. I presented him with my dates and a rough plan of what I wanted to do, Sashi then put together an itinerary. The cost was really reasonable for 2 people. And during the booking stage I had to make several changes due to some changes in dates, Sashi accommodated and amended everything accordingly with no issues. Payment was done via a bank transfer which was simple. On the first day, our driver Raju bhai came to pick us up and was with us throughout the trip. He was absolutely exceptional. A calm, reliable and completely trust worthy driver who went above an beyond many times. There was always water in the car and he was incredibly knowledgeable, making some of the long drives really interesting. All the guides we had were really knowledgeable, explained everything really well. More so they were local guides who spoke good English and had a lot of insight into a lot of the archaeological sites we visited. All the hotels we stayed in were beautiful, clean and safe. Overall I would recommend Agora to anyone. The service was exceptional and as a result we had the most amazing trip. We extended it to 12 days by adding a few days off to allow us to acclimate and process our experiences. This worked out well, although we got tired on our last few days. They organized everything for us and that really, really well! We were picked up and brought to all important sights. They had good recommendations for clean restaurants and interesting stories on history as well as religion. We booked our hotels separately. We had a bad experience at our hotel in Bodhgaya. Our guide Chandan, which was sent from Agora Voyages, helped as getting the hotel refunded and getting us to the new hotel. We are grateful for that. Also our contact at Agora Voyages, Shashi was always ready to answer questions via WhatsApp. Our drivers were really good. Traffic in India is always special, but we felt safe and secure on the road of Kolkata as well as between Bodhgaya and Varanasi. At a distance of 2 Km from Madurai Junction Railway Station, the historic Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, also called as Meenakshi Amman Temple, is one of the biggest and most popular pilgrimage sites in India. Dedicated to Goddess Parvati and Lord Siva, the temple is considered an architecture marvel. It was shortlisted as one of the top 30 nominees for New Seven Wonders of the World. It is one of the the prime places to visit in Madurai . The Madurai Temple forms the heart and lifeline of Madurai city which is 2,500 year old. The original temple was built by Kulashekara Pandya, but the initiative to rebuild the structure was taken by first Nayak king of Madurai, Viswanatha Nayak (1559-1600) under the supervision of Ariyanatha Mudaliar. The temple was substantially expanded to the current structure during the reign of Thirumalai Nayak between 1623 and 1655 .....

2 Koodal Alagar Temple

At a distance of 1 km from Madurai Junction Railway Station & 1.5 km Meenakshi Temple, The Koodal Alagar Temple, also known as Arulmigu Koodalazhagar Thirukoil, is another important temple in Madurai. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple is believed to be older than the Meenakshi temple. It is one of the important places to visit in Madurai . A unique feature of this temple is the three different postures of the same God. The three figures of Vishnu are in standing, sitting and reclining postures. These three figures of the deity are known by three different names. The most venerated of the three figures is Lord Vishnu in the seated posture. The seated Lord Vishnu is locally known as Lord Koodal Alagar from whom the temple derives its name. The reclining idol is known as Sri Ranganatha. Sri Surya Narayan Perumal is the name for the standing image of Lord Vishnu. This temple possesses wonderful architecture .....

3 Thirumalai Nayak Mahal

At a distance of 3 km from Madurai Junction Railway Station and 1 km from Meenakshi Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Mahal is a palace complex constructed in the Indo-Saracen style by Thirumalai Nayak in 1636. It is among the major Madurai tourist places. The original palace complex was four times bigger than the present structure. It was divided into two parts, Swargavilasa and Rangavilasa and only the Swargavilasa is survived today. The palace was designed by an Italian architect. The ceilings are decorated with large paintings showing Shaivite and Vaishnavite themes. The Darbar hall (courtyard) and the Natakasala (dancing hall) are carry the original glory and are central attractions for visitors. There are 248 pillars, each 58 feet tall and 5 feet in diameter. It is believed that the Rangavilasa portion of the palace was demolished by Chockanatha Nayak, the grandson of Thirumalai Nayak and the materials were carried to Trichy to build a new palace. It is among the prime places to visit in Rameshwaram . Ramanathaswamy Temple also has its name in history books as it houses the largest hallway in India. The construction of Rameshwaram Temple was started in the 12th century and was contributed by many rulers. This temple is an epitome of flawless Dravidian architecture. The hallway in temple is of approximately 1220 meters in length with brilliantly carved pillars throughout the hall. 3 Annai Indira Gandhi / Pamban Bridge

At a distance of 12 Kms from Rameshwaram, Annai Indira Gandhi or Pamban Bridge connects Rameswaram Island with the main land. The bridge was opened for traffic in 1914 and is one of the prime places to visit in Rameshwaram. It is the longest sea bridge in India and its length is nearly 2.2 km and stands as a fine example for Indian architecture. The bridge was constructed with sufficient elevation. At a distance of 2 km from Thanjavur Railway Station, 1.5 km from Brihadeeswarar Temple & 0.5 km from Old Bus Station, Thanjavur Palace, also known as Maratha Palace or Nayak Palace is a wonderful historical structure in the town of Thanjavur. It was the official residence of the Maratha rulers from 1674 to 1855. It was constructed partly by Thanjavur Nayaks around 1550 CE, and expanded by the Marathas. The palace is noted for its huge halls, spacious corridors, observation and arsenal towers, and a shady courtyard. The Palace is a must visit place in Thanjavur to understand the history and lifestyle of its rulers. The entrance to the palace is a large quadrangular courtyard which is encircled by walls with big gateways to the north and the east. The courtyard leads to a many-pillared hall. The Goodagopuram, also known as Bell Tower, an eight storied vimana like building situated on the southern side of the third quadrangle, has a height of 190 ft. It was the palace watch tower .....

3 Thanjavur Art Gallery

At a distance of 2 km from Thanjavur Junction Railway Station & 0.5 km from Old Bus Station, the Art Gallery is located within Thanjavur Palace. The gallery houses a treasured collection of bronze icons, stone sculptures and other artifacts, which today stand testimony to that golden age in Tamil history. The gallery is situated in the second part of the palace behind bell tower. The galley consists of Stone sculptures arrange in a hall at the entrance and in the hall towards southern side of the complex near Manimandapam. The bronze sculptures inside the Nayak's Durbar Hall showcase excellent craftsmanship. Durbar Hall is an excellent structure with beautiful paintings & sculptures on upper part of the walls and the ceiling. The hall also houses a marble sculpture of Raja Serfoji, popular Maratha ruler. The examples of art that we see today at this gallery are the finest. Most of the pieces belong to Chola period between the 9th and the 13th centuries AD, to the post-Chola .....
