How Do I Find My Norwegian Cruise Reservation Number?

By Alice Nichols

Are you excited about your upcoming Norwegian Cruise vacation but can’t seem to find your reservation number? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of finding your Norwegian Cruise reservation number.

What is a Norwegian Cruise Reservation Number?

Your Norwegian Cruise reservation number is a unique identifier that confirms your booking. It’s a combination of letters and numbers that allow you to access all the details of your cruise booking, including itinerary, cabin category, and payment information.

Where to Find Your Norwegian Cruise Reservation Number?

There are several ways to find your Norwegian Cruise reservation number:

1. Confirmation Email:

The first place you should look for your reservation number is in the confirmation email that Norwegian Cruise Line sent you when you made your booking. The subject line of the email should contain your reservation number.

If you can’t find the email in your inbox, check your spam folder since sometimes automated emails can end up there.

2. E-Documents:

Norwegian Cruise Line sends e-documents to passengers at least 45 days before their sailing date. These documents contain important information about the cruise, including boarding passes and luggage tags.

Your reservation number will be listed on these e-documents along with other essential details about your trip.

3. Travel Agent:

If you booked through a travel agent, they should have given you a confirmation document that includes your reservation number. If they haven’t provided it yet, reach out to them and ask for it.

4. Call Norwegian Cruise Line:

If none of the above methods work for you or if you have any other questions related to your booking, call Norwegian Cruise Line’s customer service team at 1-866-234-7350 or (305) 436-4000. Provide them with your name and booking details, and they will provide you with your reservation number.

Final Thoughts

Now that you know where to find your Norwegian Cruise reservation number, you can easily access all the information about your upcoming cruise. Keep your reservation number handy and use it whenever you need to access or modify your booking.

If a show you want to attend becomes fully booked before you have a chance to make a reservation — whether prior to the cruise or once on board — you can add your name to the waitlist. Shortly before a show starts, seats that were reserved for guests who had booked but have not arrived are opened for the waitlist.

Guests on the waitlist are notified in the order they request a seat and then have a short amount of time to check in for the show, or the seats will be opened up to the next waitlist guests.

Updated Norwegian Cruise Name Change Policy: Easy Modifications for Stress-Free Sailing

Planning a cruise is an exciting time, but sometimes life throws unexpected changes our way. Whether it’s a sudden schedule conflict or a change in travel companions, it’s comforting to know that Norwegian Cruise Line has an updated name change policy that allows for easy modifications, ensuring stress-free sailing. In this guide, we will explore the key points of the updated Norwegian Cruise Name Change Policy, so you can make informed decisions and enjoy your cruise experience to the fullest.

To begin, let’s take a look at the most important aspects of the updated policy in a convenient table format:

Now that we have a clear overview of the key points, let’s delve deeper into the details of the updated Norwegian Cruise Name Change Policy.

1. Name Change Fee

One of the important factors to consider when modifying your cruise booking is the potential name change fee. Norwegian Cruise Line may charge a fee for changing the name on a reservation, and the amount can vary depending on factors such as the timing of the request and the type of cruise fare. It is recommended to contact Norwegian Cruise Line directly or consult their website for the most up-to-date information on applicable fees.

2. Deadline for Name Changes

It is crucial to be aware of the deadline for making name changes to your cruise reservation. Norwegian Cruise Line typically has a specific timeframe within which name changes must be requested. Missing this deadline could result in additional fees or even the inability to make changes. To avoid any complications, it is advisable to make name change requests well in advance and adhere to the specified deadline.

3. Documentation Requirements

When requesting a name change for your Norwegian Cruise, it is important to have the necessary documentation in order. This usually includes legal identification documents such as passports or driver’s licenses. In cases where the name change is due to a change in relationship, additional documentation may be required to establish the new relationship. It is essential to review the specific requirements with Norwegian Cruise Line to ensure a smooth and successful name change process.

4. Transferability

While Norwegian Cruise Line allows for name changes in certain circumstances, it’s important to understand that not all reservations are transferrable. Some fares may have restrictions on name changes or may not allow transfers at all. It is crucial to carefully review the terms and conditions of your booking to determine if a name change is possible and what restrictions may apply.

By familiarizing yourself with the updated Norwegian Cruise Name Change Policy, you can navigate any necessary modifications with ease. This major cruise line operator just announced its biggest ship order ever

ncl cruise reservation

One of the world’s leading cruise operators unveiled its biggest ship order ever on Monday.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. will take delivery of eight ships between 2026 and 2036 across its three brands.

Norwegian Cruise Line will welcome four ships in 2030, 2032, 2034 and 2036, each with a capacity of close to 5,000 guests. The additions are subject to financing.

The vessels will follow the line’s previously announced Prima-Plus class vessels.

The upscale Oceania Cruises will take delivery of two 1,450-guest ships in 2027 and 2029, and luxury line Regent Seven Seas Cruises will add two ships in 2026 and 2029, each accommodating 850 passengers.

"This strategic new-ship order across all three of our award-winning brands provides for the steady introduction of cutting-edge vessels into our fleet and solidifies our long-term growth,” Harry Sommer, the company’s president and CEO, said in a news release . “It also allows us to significantly leverage our operating scale, strengthen our commitment to innovation and enhance our ability to offer our guests new products and experiences, all while providing opportunities to enhance the efficiency of our fleet.”

Specifics about the ships’ accommodations and amenities will be announced “in the coming months,” according to the release.

The company will also add a new multi-ship pier at its private Bahamas island, Great Stirrup Cay, scheduled for completion by late 2025. The pier will be able to accommodate two large ships at once.

Sorry if this has been asked (I'm sure it probably has!) I did a search but it came up with about 500 responses...

How/where do you make "normal" (non-specialty) dining reservations?  Main dining room and such?  I can't seem to find any of that in either the app or the main website.

Under your booking you go into dining. I believe at around the 120 day mark you can make your reservation for the main free dining rooms. You can’t do it if you’re far out from your sail date.

Well, I'm about 45 days out right now.

We've always done it as soon as we boarded the ship.  When you check in, ask where to go to make dining reservations.

You really shouldn't have to make dinner reservations for the main dining rooms. The only time I ever do is for the first night because I always like to have dinner in the Manhattan Room or whatever the "fancier" of the dining rooms are on the first night of a cruise.

For some reason the Encore on 8/14 sailing still hasn't opened reservations for main dining rooms.  🙁

Like Jamie said, walk up will be ok most likely …. Reservations probably won’t be necessary anyhow.

Good to know...that's probably what we'll do.  Thanks!

If you are really stressed about having to wait a bit for a table, you should definitely be able to make reservations once onboard. You can do so through the My NCL app on your phone (connected to the ship's wifi in airplane mode), the TV in your stateroom, or the touchscreens near the elevators if you are on one of the newer ships. There is also a reservations desk in the Atrium that you can visit.

Nope...not really stressed.  Just didn't "know the ropes"!  We've done most of our cruising (earlier years) on Carnival and for the past few years on Princess.  Every line has their own procedures!

They call it "Freestyle Cruising", though the MDR is really one of the FEW places on a bigger ship that doesn't require a reservation...

When I have a specialty dining package, I try to reserve one of the restaurants for the first night. This is because the sequence of boarding-muster-embarkation seems to put everyone on the same schedule and hardly anyone books specialty restaurants for the first night, sothe MDRs are usually slammed that night.

My wife and I have done 10 NCL cruises. I think we only made reservations once at one of the non specialty restaurants. Then again its only two of us. The longest we ever waited was 15 minutes

I thought they didn't take reservations for less than 8 for the main dining rooms. If and I say if, they are busy and are passing out beepers and tell you its a 30 - 45 minute wait, I have always had my beeper go off in about 10 - 15 minutes. In all my many cruises, I believe I've only had a beeper maybe 3 times and one of them was for the smaller free Chinese restaurant. Go for it, have a great time and don't worry. Cruising is back!!! Yahoo

I've had the experience once, but only once, of the dining hosts' saying that they were out of beepers and just to come back in an hour. This was on the first night of a cruise.

The MDRs work pretty much like your favorite land restaurant... if you decide you're going to go out to dinner, but you see that the place is really busy when you roll up, you can decide among a few options:

You can resolve to be patient & wait for a table to open up

You can try to find another place to eat that's less slammed

You can go have a drink & come back later when they slow down

As some others have said, I've never had more than a few minutes' wait even at very busy times.  Enjoy!

most ncl ships have 2 mdr's and the menus are usually the same or similar.. if one is really busy, and you dont want to wait, merely go to the other. however , prior posts are correct, you dont need a reservation just go up and smile. it will also help if you figure out what times are busier than others.

as a final tip, most decks, and possibly on your room t.v. show the staus of all the rstaurants as far as availability is concerned. since you arent inquiring about the specialty restaurants, the  only one i have ever had a problem with a reservation is the teppanyaki. it only has 3 seatings and limited space.

On your reservation NCL summary, click on dining, it should list all dining venues,  if it says reservations not accepted,, in one of the Main Dining rooms,  they just take walk ins, hope this helps.  Some Ships don't do reservations in what they refer to a MDR,s

I'd plan on going early or late to the MDR for dinner.

Breakfast fills up very fast.

Lunch you shouldn't have many issues with dining in the MDR.

You can call NCL or message through the talk feature on their website,  use the kiosks on board, or have the concierge book.

Swing by to check out the menus posted outside the MDRs each day.

I’m going on a 7 day cruise in February on the Epic. I love the food on the Epic. I’m going on the Prima in September. My NCL Cruise Consultant said they may not have complementary dinners.

I would take what you are told by NCL staff with a shovel of salt.

Ignore that, they will definitely have complimentary dinners but you will of course be able to book speciality dinners instead if you wish.  One of the main selling points of cruises is that it is full board included in the fare, of course you can pay extra but you don't have to.  NCL would be off their trolley if they changed that premise

That's the biggest load of BS I've ever heard!

I did all ours for October including the regular dining only because they said they will be sailing at full capacity so why not ..but again that was us …
