SBS Releases Teaser Trailer For Upcoming Variety Show 'No Math School Trip'

On February 28, SBS uploaded the official teaser trailer for "No Math School Trip," a new variety show consisting of members EXO D.O., Zico, Crush, Jannabi Choi Jung Hoon, Lee Yong Jin, and Yang Se Chan.

"No Math School Trip" will have the group tackle different games and missions on a school field trip format. It will also be directed by PD (Producing Director) Choi Bo Pil, a former director on popular variety show "Running Man."

On the special trailer, fans were treated to the group's chaotic adventures. The video begins with the six cast members discussing the program's focus and concept, solidifying the show in a pre-production gathering.

During the discussion, all members expressed their uncertainty with the show, not knowing what to expect. This led to Lee Yong Jin striking a hilarious remark saying, "Well, I can imagine myself on the show only wearing my underwear in a snowy setting, while PD Choi Bo Pil is filming,"  causing laughter in the room.

The trailer then shows a glimpse of the group embarking towards places, which are rarely visited by Koreans.

Some of the cast even questioned where they are, wondering if they were in Sapporo, Japan. Hearing this, a member stated, "We're not in Sapporo, since this city has no name to it."

As the video progressed, the group emitted their lighthearted nature, traversing through snowy fields, playing claw machines on the arcade, and singing songs in a karaoke! They were even seen building a snowman and bonding together on a spa.

The announcement for this show was made on January 4, when SBS confirmed its casting and premiere month in March.

"It is true that Do Kyung-so, Zico, Crush, Choi Jung Hoon, Lee Yong Jin, and Yang Se Chan will all appear in the upcoming variety show on SBS."

Online Community Thrilled Over the Cast's Chemistry

Viewers couldn't contain their excitement for the boys. Upon seeing the trailer, anticipation arose within the online community. Fans pointed out how wise it was to include D.O., Zico, and Crush.

"No Math School Trip" will also feature two professional comedians, consisting of Lee Yong Jin and Yang Se Chan, giving additional upbeat energy on the show. Apart from the comedians, Choi Jung Hoon will also offer an optimistic feel to the group.

D.O. becomes a sharp-eyed detective while ZICO and Crush's friendship falls apart.

Despite taking notes, the guys find themselves struggling to remember.

A course meal with fresh produce leaves everyone speechless.

Crush, who brings rain wherever he goes, now seems to be drawing in heavy snow; the child-like men start a savage sled race; the members later go to an aquarium and have a therapeutic experience.

'No Math School Trip' ends broadcast with the cast and fans hoping for a season 2

SBS ' ' No Math School Trip ' ended its broadcast on May 11 KST, ending the 10-episode story, and capping it off with a group shot of the members.

On May 12 KST, a group photo was uploaded on the show's official Instagram account with the caption, " This has been No Math School Trip. We would like to ask for continued love and support for the friendships that will deepen of the six members, who are really the same both on and off the camera, and are in fact kinder off-the camera ." 

The photo released together is a group selfie of members Lee Yong Jin , Yang Se Chan , Zico , Crush , D.O. , and Jannabi 's Choi Jung Hoon , taken on their last trip, making viewers laugh with their unique expressions and poses. Fans are appeased by the chemistry of the six men who break through the black and white photos.

Although the viewership rating was in the 1% range, the members' friendship chemistry received high scores from viewers. Because the members themselves were very satisfied with their chemistry, they expressed their hope for season 2 through the broadcast on the April 27.

In particular, Crush posted a group shot taken with the members on social media, saying, " The training crew who gave me unforgettable memories for the rest of my life, and my brothers and friends, Forever! I really want to do season 2! Ok let's go .” 

Fans also expressed their sadness over the show ending. Beneath their group photo, comments such as “ Please do season 2 too ”, “ I can’t send you off~ I will continue to watch it again. I'll be waiting for Season 2 ”, “ Please, please season 2 please ." The comments are full of fans waiting for the next season.

It remains to be seen whether 'No Math School Trip' will return with a more powerful season 2 to live up to fans' expectations.

Only saw 2 episodes - found it a little cheesy, but still a fun watch when you can't sleep.

The name of the programme in English is actually incorrect.

It's a play on words in Korean "수학 없는 수학여행" - "수학여행" just means a school trip, but 수학 also means math. The title is actually is "No Math School Trip".

A couple days ago, I watched some of their videos on YouTube and found it genuinely entertaining. Their chemistry is great. Can't wait for the next season.
