Hey Mrs. Walters, thanks for this review – we really appreciate the great feedback!

Good experience

Very pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff in Stirling Specsavers Eye test, through various stages, ran smoothly with no long waits in between.Optometrist explained everything and answered all my questions clearly. Nicole, who helped me choose new glasses, was so patient and helpful. All in all a good experience.

Hello Iain, we're delighted to receive such a great review, thank you!

Very good professional service.

Aww, well isn't this nice! Thank you so much for sharing Ben.

Specsavers Telford

Picking up my glasses was a great experience, quick & simple, but my appointment for my eye test took too long. I was there for over 70 minutes & had to leave before placing my order because of another appointment

Thank you for taking the time to share your review, we really appreciate it. If you'd like to tell us more, please pop all the info here: http://bit.ly/specsavers-contact-us-uk

I must be honest I was a little apprehensive going to Spec savers as I had the impression that I would get cheap and nasty. Well, all I can say is WOW From the moment I walked in, you can see that the team in Bracknell are well trained and versed, as the service was Absolutely Excellent. Even although I could see how busy they all were, it just seemed such an easy process. I will definitely recommend this branch in particular and will most certainly use them again

I was well looked after and had a very thorough examination under strict covid precautions. I saw 3 members of staff and all were very competent. I look forward to collecting my new glasses soon.

Hey Avril, thanks for this review – we really appreciate the great feedback!

From the minute I walked through the door everyone was lovely and helpful. Brilliant customer service from all. I was left to choose glasses, had nobody hassling me it was great. Glad I changed opticians to here. 10/10 from me.

Friendly service

Friendly service, appointment on time, glasses ready a week later! Can’t remember the guys name that helped me but he was a star!

Hey Beth, thanks for this review – we really appreciate the great feedback!

My visit to Specsavers was good

My visit to Specsavers was good, my appointment was on time and the staff were helpful. However when I was told I needed slightly stronger lenses in my glasses the optician told me I could just have new lenses and would not have to have new glasses. When I asked the optical assistant for this she was very apologetic as it seems that new lenses would be substantially dearer than new glasses, so for me it made sense financially to buy new glasses. Come on Specsavers in these days of trying to save the planet surely you you can do better than this!!

New Glasses

Very helpful and friendly.Great range of glasses to choose from and we’re ready within a week.

Hey Caroline, thanks for this review – we really appreciate the great feedback!

I called this morning to collect 2 pairs of spectacles that I ordered last week. On arrival, there were 5 members of staff at the reception desk talking- none appeared be doing anything. While I was in the waiting area, more people arrived at reception - when I looked towards the desk, there were 8 staff there. It would have looked much better to clients that as a !inimum, staff were cleaning spectacles and tidying the displays.

Friendly service, good advice given

I am very happy with my recent appointment at Specsavers in Chorley. All of the staff I came in contact with were courteous and professional. At my appointment the staff who helped me were Sumaiyah, Abdul and Ben. They all took their time to explain each stage of my eye appointment and answered any questions thoroughly. The environment was clean and all covid precautions were in place which made me feel secure and confident. I would recommend Specsavers in Chorley to my friends.

Awesome place

Awesome place, great people that genuinely care about your health. Super deals and wonderful state of the art equipment. I was totally amazed and people that work there know their stuff. I highly recommend this place to check out. My first time there was excellent. I will be back.

Don't neglect your eyes

I wish to share my most recent experience at specsavers bray with you, having had a not too positive experience there recently they invited me back and apologised for wrong information given previously. I can only say that I was treated with the greatest care and respect and boy am I glad I went back,on my eye test they discovered fluid behind one eye for which they immediately referred me to the eye and ear hospital, who contacted me the same day with an appointment. They also gave me new frames for my glasses and said come back again after your hospital visit as my script may change, I cannot thank jamie and Paul enough for the care they gave me and for highlighting the problem that needs immediate attention. Imagine if I hadn't gone back for the test .top marks to you guys all around and thanks a million again, Tony McGowan

Give us a ring when specs are ready before due date

A very helpful team. A positive experience as usual. However, popped in before the pickup date on the off chance that my specs might be ready as I was in a hurry for them, to be told yes they are ready for collection now. I gave my mobile number thinking that I would get a call when they were ready?

Friendly, welcoming & made me feel very comfortable. Support given to me when needed, example: when I became overwhelmed by the information given to me about my eye having the start of a cataract. Reassurance of how it can be sorted & information booklet given. Excellent service!

Went to Specsavers with no experience…

Went to Specsavers with no experience of eye tests with my 7 year old daughter. The experience was so rushed and I left without knowing what the hell had went on. When I asked the diagnosis I got a very generic answer, but I was told that she needed reading glasses, which I of course got straight away. However I felt very uneasy with the limited information I was given. This made me book an appointment with an independent as I was worried that my daughter had a misinformed diagnosis. The experience with a smaller optician was not comparable and I left feeling that I understood what my daughter needed. She did in fact need glasses but not at such a high prescription as what Specsavers prescribed. You may save but at what expense!?!

All the people were welbehaved

All the people were welbehaved, gentle and cooperative. I impressed by their smiling face also. Didn't face any difficulty.

“I recently visited Specsavers in…

“I recently visited Specsavers in Crawley for an eye test and eyewear prescription, for safety glasses for work and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed with their service. From the moment I stepped in, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience pleasant. The optometrist was not only professional but also incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain each step of the eye test thoroughly. Their attention to detail and expertise instilled confidence in me throughout the examination. The store’s selection of eyewear was extensive, catering to various styles and preferences. The staff assisting with choosing frames were patient and offered valuable advice, making it easier for me to find the perfect pair. Moreover, the entire process, from the test to receiving my prescription, was smooth and efficient. I encountered no issues with wait times or scheduling, which added to the positive experience. Overall, I’m highly satisfied with Specsavers. The quality of service, coupled with the friendly staff and seamless process, has made me a loyal customer. I’d wholeheartedly recommend Specsavers to anyone in need of professional eye care and stylish eyewear.”

Excellent overall experience,

Aside from their very convoluted pricing structure, geared to purchasing 2 pairs, my "retail partner" Inga, at the Promenade Mall location, was excellent. She was pleasant, witty, knowledgeable & extremely patient.

Is that a cataract I see before me ( part 2 )

Having left a review on my experience with Specsavers I received a reply via TrustPilot stating I should, QUOTE " pop them a DM on X or Facebook ". I am 73 years of age but not senile YET, however, I do not know what the hell they mean by the former and would not lower myself to go on the latter. I do know what a cataract looks like though. Lisa Carson ( Operations Manager ) who contacted me on the 15th January 2024 may want to do so again unless she has forgot my name as she did then.

At the end of September I went at Specsavers Horsham to make reading lenses and I pay £40 for the lenses..the readings for my left eye was not the correct ones but because I had my old reading glasses I used them and I put aside the new from specsavers..I didn't had time to book again new appointment because I was working hard and their appointments wasn't flexible..so I decide to book appointment after 5 months to do again the eye checks and they told me that the first time the reading was not the correct ones..I had to replace the left lens and they ask me again for money although it was their mistake so I pay again £20 for one lens..when I ask why I had to pay again for their mistake they told me that they cover problems only for 3 months..but when I bought them nobody inform me about this..I'm not happy at all because at the end they cost me £60 for only 2 lenses..

Disappointing service.

Disappointing service on going to collect my already paid for spectacles at Horsham branch. First visit told to sit down and wait. Nobody came to me in 15 minutes. So went out and came back later for second visit. Again told to sit down and wait. After 10 minutes I grabbed a member of staff who took my details and I continued to sit down. Nothing happened so left after another 15 minutes. I returned an hour later to be told I would have to wait as they were serving another customer. And I had left the queue. I was not aware there was a queue! Usual excuses of they were very busy but this does not excuse that nobody kept me informed about how long I would have to wait or that I was in a queue. Very poor customer relations. I left with my spectacles without a final check. I will add that I am very satisfied with the spectacles themselves. However I will not be returning to this branch until and unless they improve their customer service. Maybe an appointment system might improve the situation.

One of the Worst Service Providers

I would say one of the Worst Service providers in terms of handling and maintaining a customer. I had been to Meadowvale Town Centre Specsavers, Mississauga Location branch on 6th March, 2024 for Eye exam for my son. His eye sight changed and doctor said that he would need to get new glasses ASAP as his vision went high. We ordered the glasses and has specifically requested to expedite the order and which they assured me, they would do it. My Wife went on 16th and she was told that glasses would arrive by 20th March and it did not arrive. I called up on today to check where the order was and i was surprised to know that their Lab outside of ON has outsourced to another Vendor to get the glasses made as their lab could not make high vision glasses and order would arrive late next week by 29th March. If your lab is not capable enough to handle the request why do you promise customer with false timelines and is this expiditing an order when doctor clearly mentioned glasses need to be made urgently. I fail to understand what kind of service are you providing and please please dont lie to customers. Money is taken instantly from the customer but order is not fulfilled on time. Worst experience and i would not recommend Specsavers to anyone. I dont know if they would deliver with correct prescription and i highly doubt it now as it has been outsourced to another vendor

Impressive first visit.

I needed to ensure had no wax in my ears before having new NHS aids fitted the next day. This was my first visit and I was impressed by how busy the staff were, but was promptly greeted by a receptionist and taken to the appropriate area. I was seen on time and fully expected to pay the full cost of £60. Checking my ears with a camera I was informed that there was a "dome" in my right ear that she managed to remove. Checking again, she discovered another one and also manged to extract that. I was then only charged the standard fee for an examination of £25. I was very impressed with the knowldge and efficiency of this lady and very surprised that there was no attempt to charge extra for the dome removal.

5 STAR Specsavers Promise

Collected new glasses with a new prescription on the 23rd of January 2024 from the Carr Street, Ipswich store. Phoned the Ipswich store on the 22nd of April 2024 as I wasn't 100% happy with my frames and lenses. I asked if I could take advantage of the 100 day 'Specsavers Promise' Spoke to Nicholas who listened to my concerns with empathy and sympathy. He arranged a next-day Customer Service appointment at the Ipswich store. Nicholas has excellent Customer Care, Customer Service and People skills and is a brilliant ambassador for Specsavers Customer No: 288257

I had lost my specs

I had lost my specs and didn't fancy going to choose new ones at the store. My prescription was quite recent so I was able to use that. It was surprisingly easy to choose new ones and fill in the details. Delivery was well within the promised time and I will definitely use the service again. I was also reassured that if the fit wasn't quite right I could go to my local Specsavers, this wasn't necessary as they were perfect ...Thank you

Feedback I would like to provide you with positive feedback ANNA and DAN at The Birmingham high street specsavers which I believe is the best in Birmingham. They are all brilliant in all aspects, their role, their approach, their listening, understanding and their response to the issues in finding best ways to address them. They are not judgemental nor bias. I fully appreciate their time, her hard work and effort. Although it is their job, they truly take that extra mile (goes above and beyond) to ensure that they provide efficient advice and service. And I cannot thank them enough. It is very rare to find one that is very dedicated, who listens and understands. And is willing to do a job to the best of their ability. I greatly value their role and hardwork. And I greatly thank them all. Well recommended specsavers in Birmingham.

Great service from the audiologist at Basingstoke shop

The feed from the earpiece to the amplifier had broken on one hearing aid so I rang the store in Basingstoke on Sunday. I was told to drop into the store anytime but lunchtime to see the audiologist to see if the aid needed to be sent off. I went to the shop just after lunch on the next day, was asked to sit for a while. About 10 mins a young man served me, he looked at the aid and promptly repaired it, he then looked at my other one and changed the filter in the earpiece. All very polite and seamless service, can't recommend highly enough.

Well done Spesavers St Austell.

Friendly greeting on arrival. I was put at ease through the whole sight test process, with all stages explained in detail. All the staff are to be commended on their courteous and professional service. Thank you

Specsavers Cannock Town Branch

Went yo Specsavers in Cannock yesterday, had a really good frame fitting and eye test. Christine [Chris] spent plenty of time going through some bright funky frame optiowith me. We both enjoyed listening to old school dance & rave music playing in the background, brought some memories back.

Professional Staff

Staff was pleasant all the way through. Highly impressed by usman (optician), how he handled the whole eye test. He was very pleasant from the start and informative throughout. 5 stars to him.

Quick and simple order and delivery service

I decided to shop online as I had problems getting help in the busy shop after my appointment. I had chosen my glasses already so it was really easy to select them on the website and add prescription details. The form and process was simple to do. I received my glasses within a few days straight to my door. Much quicker than ordering in shop and no need to collect. Packaged securely and in perfect condition. Can visit shop of choice if any problems but I didn’t need to. Only slight minus: designer and branded glasses come with a proper case. Specsavers frames come in a cardboard case which is different from the shop. Luckily I have a spare. All in all a great experience and I’ll do this again.

VERY IMPRESSED

Visited Specsavers in Bury, couldn't believe how busy it was but service was brilliant. A special thank you to Caitlin and Abi for looking after me and advising me on glasses and fitting. Arslaan who did my eye test was superb, love my new glasses and vision is perfect.

I love the frame choices and reasonable prices. I have only two things to mention. Firstly, reactive lenses aren't available to add online. Secondly, was very disappointed on the flimsy quality of the cases that contain the glasses.

Reply from Specsavers

We really appreciate your feedback, thanks for sharing!

Great experience always

Used one same branch (although not the closest) consistently since Covid, great customer service, always strive to get you right price. We went in Tuesday to get a reglaze done on some frames, walked out having got 2 new pairs of glasses with lenses thinned and 2 pairs of designer glasses all for £330. We really Cannot fault them at all.

All about sales and not customer care

Its clear that theres a drive to generate sales. Had a really poor experience of a pushy supervisor who wouldn't listen, insulted me and then spoke to me like a five year old. To cap it off she then told me that they couldn't refund me in cash, they didn't have any problem taking my cash in the first place. Better to avoid this bunch - its all about sales!

Thanks so much for sharing this, we'd really like the chance to look into this for you. Would you be able to send us a DM on Facebook, Twitter (X) or Instagram?

Reviews for audiology in coulby

Chole on the desk and Gemma audiologist couldn't do enough for us . We were treated with dignity and respect. Experience from start to finish was second to none. The new audiology unit at Coulby newham was very impressive.

Saw Mr. Donnelly at Specsavers in Durham and I can’t thank him enough! After years of wearing wrong glasses with Vision Express, distorted image, headaches and eyes discomfort, my sight has been restored and it’s a major relief! All team very pleasant, friendly and professional! Thank you !

Always Been Pleased with the Service…

Always Been Pleased with the Service I’ve received from Haverhill Specsavers! And a Big Thank You To Raj for His and the Staff’s Professionalism over the Last Twenty Years!

Unbelievable Draconian Law Rules

Arrived late by 7 minutes for an hours appointment and was told I would have to rebook.... The actual communication was 'your appointment was for 8.30, I apologised and said it was traffic and it's only about 5 minutes, to be told, no it's actually 7 minutes and you will need to rebook. I stated you are joking, just to be stared at, so I told them don't worry' I could not believe it, I have lost count of the times I have had to wait over my appointment time and in between whilst waiting to choose glasses..... So it's one rule for Specsavers and one rule for clients.... I will never use any Specsavers service ever again.

Would you mind popping us a DM over on Facebook, X or Instagram so we can look into this with the team for you, please?

Excellent customer service

Want to mention my experience today collecting my glasses. A lady called Eram from Birmingham New Street served me and was wonderful. She knows how to treat her customers! 5 stars✨️

Superb customer service and excellent value for money

My husband and I cannot speak too highly of the superb service ALWAYS provided by Specsavers Clitheroe. Whenever we visit, whether for optical or audio needs, the service is always exemplary. A special thank you to both “Ed” and “Greg” who earlier this week provided that same high level of service we’ve now become accustomed to at Clitheroe. Customer service at its very best. Always!

Awful Service

Havant Branch My experience has been absolutely terrible, Original eye test and order 2nd Feb. On collection the frames would not hold the adjustment, After going back in daily for over 2 weeks they eventually agreed to change the frames, I chose a new pair, no measurements were taken and 2 weeks later went to collect only to be given the same pair back that I had rejected.... Again gave them the frames that i had asked to change to, Again no measurements taken, Again when collected they didnt fit right causing irritation and headaches as they didn't sit right, Another few weeks of going in almost every day a lovely lady named Karen actually checked them and said they were not the right size for my face and would never sit right. Surely this should have been checked when I chose them, Another remake to be done... I eventually chose the same frames as my current glasses as I know these fit well, 3 Weeks waiting and still not had a call to say they are ready.. So After spending well over £300 and a wait of almost 3 months I still have no glasses.. Absolutely terrible service.

In this classic novel of Russian humor and social commentary, a cable fitter is fired from his job after accidentally sending out detailed graphs charting his coworkers' productivity against the amount of alcohol they consumed. From goodreads.com

This book sucks. I have to read it for a class in college and this is honestly one of the worst books I've ever read. It is impossible to follow, and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Horrible, horrible read.

Moscow and Beijing Visit – 2013

For this visit to Moscow and Beijing, I went with BAES and George Pick Aerotours

Tuesday 27 August

I had an additional two days over the planned visit - and joined the main group when they arrived on Thursday.

A 1325 departure from Heathrow’s Terminal 4 on Aeroflot flight SU2579 flight for Moscow Sheremetyevo - the first time I had been there for years.. On arrival in Moscow I was met by an escort and taken to the Hotel Cosmos.

Wednesday 28 August - Zvezda model factory .

I had been invited on a private visit to the Zvezda model factory - so I met up with Hungarian friend Gabor and we travelled by metro and train to Sheremetyevo's terminal E - where we were met by Director of Marketing Evgeny Kurbatov and driven to Lobnya, home base of Zvezda.

We spent a very enjoyable few hours at the factory - being shown around the design department, with their very hi-tech CAD computers, before being taken to the injection moulding floor to see the new moulding machines being installed.

After being shown the warehouse of racks containing rows of heavy casting blocks, we watched as new moulds were being prepared for insertion into the moulding machines.

We visited the packing department and were invited into the 'trophy' room displaying the many certificates and medals awarded to the company for their models.

After being given some gifts of kits from Disney's 'Planes' film, we thanked our hosts and were very kindly driven back into Moscow by Evgeny.

It was a very interesting visit and I would like to thank the Director and staff for allowing us to visit, Evgeny for showing us round and Alexander, the CAD designer of the soon-to-be-released Su-27SM kit for arranging the visit.

In the evening Gabor and I met up with our Russian friends from Rostov-on-Don - and visited the Aviator restaurant for a few beers.

Thursday 29 August - MAKS.

I met Andrei, Igor and Nikolai again - and we travelled to MAKS by train and bus.

The weather was good for photography and I did most of the static lineup.

We travelled back into Moscow and I said my farewells before taking the metro back to the Cosmos for an evening meal.

The main BAES group did not arrive at the hotel until 10:15pm so I met our guide Natalia and the guys - and we had a few beers before retiring for the night.

Friday 30 August - MAKS.

An early start for the journey to Zhukovsky - arriving at the VIP car park before passing through security and walking down the long static display.

The weather was OK during the morning, but had deteriorated by early afternoon - just when the flying started - so we spent most of the afternoon in the beer tent!

Saturday 31 August - In and Around Moscow.

First port of call was the Central Armed Forces Museum, then on to Park Pobed (Victory Park), followed by the long journey north to the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum, taking in the A-90 ekranoplan on the banks of the Moscow river at Khimki.

Some of the newcomers wanted to visit Red Square, so we travelled back into central Moscow - but unfortunately the Square was closed off for rehearsals for a parade, so Natalia took us into the GUM department store out of the pouring rain.

Sunday 1 September - MAKS from the riverbank.

This day was going to be one of the highlights of the trip - photographing the aircraft displays from the south side - outside the airfield on the riverbank with the sun behind us.

But mother nature had other ideas - and the weather was aweful, with drizzling rain interspersed with downpours and low cloud - the worst conditions for photography.

We found our spot and parked up - but the mood was sombre and subdued. We made friends with the locals and did the best we could under the circumstances.

There was a 'rival' team of enthusiasts on a boat on the river - but due to their berth by the opposite riverbank, I doubt if they had any better luck with their shots than we did.

The following photos are heavily manipulated in Paint Shop Pro...........

Monday 2 September - Monino and flight to Beijing.

Just to be perverse, Monday dawned bright - with a few low clouds that cleared up early on.

As we had a late start, we had time for a leisurely breakfast before taking a stroll across the road into VDNK Park and spent a pleasant hour photographing some of the ornate buildings and statues - who said we had no culture?

First real port-of-call was to the Russian Air Force Museum at Monino - where I photographed the displays for about the 30th time.

There is always something new to see - freshly repainted exhibits and new arrivals.

From Monino, we travelled to Sheremetyevo airport - where we said farewell to Natalia and our driver before the long wait for our 22.25 overnight Aeroflot flight to Beijing.

Tuesday 3 September - Beijing Chinese Aviation Museums.

After a sleepless flight (at least for me), we arrived in Bejing in the early hours, met our Chinese guide and were taken directly to the Civil Aviation Museum - to see the recently opened main building and airframes on display outside.

Next was the Military Museum of the Chinese Peoples Revolution - which was closed for maintenance and refurbishment. Fortunately for us, the main exhibits were on display outside under cover of temporary 'sheds' - although photography was not too easy due to the shadows - and crowds!

We finally arrived at our hotel - but no time to rest as we visited our local Chinese restaurant for a well-earned meal and a few beers - before crashing out after our 2-day non-stop, sleepless travels.

Wednesday 4 September - Great Wall, Summer Palace and Olympic Park.

Today was to be a 'tourist' day, so after a leisurely breakfast we boarded our minibus for the long drive to the Great Wall, where we had a group photo taken - before dispersing to do our own thing at this magnificent cultural icon.

After exhausting ourselves at the Wall, we drove to a jade factory - where we made a few purchases and had a superb lunch - before driving back into Beijing to visit the Summer Palace.

Final visit of the day was to the Olympic Park - to stroll along the long boulevard taking photos of the iconic Birds Nest stadium.

Back to the hotel for a change of clothes - before another excellent Chinese meal and a few beers before retiring.

Thursday 5 September - Beijing University Museum, Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City.

First port of call was to the newly opened building housing the magnificent collection of the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics museum.

Apart from the usual collection of Soviet and Chinese airframes, the University boasts a couple of gems - a Northrop P-61 Black Widow night fighter and a P-47 Thunderbolt - as well as a ex-RAF Harrier GR.3 and an example of the Beijing-1 that was designed at the university.

After lunch at another Chinese restaurant, it was on to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City for more culture - before returning to the hotel.

We found a small 'local' restaurant where we amused the staff with our attempts at ordering a meal for seven with lashings of beer.

Friday 6 September - the China Aviation Museum at Xiaotangshan.

The highlight of the trip - a visit to the magnificent collection of over 300 airframes on display - both outside in the hot sunshine, or inside the bright new display hall and the rather less photogenic 'cavern'.

We spent a full day there - taking lunch in a small local cafe just outside the main gate.

Thanks to the efforts of Alan, our group leader and our Chinese guide, we were permitted to visit the off-limits restoration building - where we photographed the resident Spitfire XVIe as well as some of the other airframes.

An exhausted, but happy, band of travellers were then taken to a restauarant near Beijing aiport for our 'last supper' - before the long wait for our overnight flight back to the UK - with a long stopover at Moscow's Sheremetyevo - before arriving at Heathrow at noon on Saturday, dog tired, but very happy.

All in all it was a terrific trip - great airshow andmuseums, good accomodation, excellent company and well worth the money.

I must stress, this is a purely personal account of the trip - I have no commercial connection with BAES or George Pick - I'm just a very satisfied customer.

The people were nice, so were the facilities. But it was right next to train tracks and there was a lot of activity going on around the hotel. I think this could bother a lot of people, it didn’t bother me though. I’m not afraid.
