Exceeded our expectations - 4 Days Historic Scotland Tour

We went to the 4 Day historic Scotland tour with Star Tours. Our excellent tour rep Mr. Chirag Dholakia and our driver Mr. Mi Hai made sure that the whole experience was seamless and pleasant. Mr. Chirag is a wonderful tour guide. He was quite knowledgeable and kept the environment light during the whole tour. The hotel was decent. Even though the schedule felt quite hectic, it was justified as we had a lot of ground to cover over only 4 days. All in all, it was a memorable experience and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

The greatest Memorable memories in my life my life

I had joined the tour from Belgium but the sincere approach of our tour guide Mr Ramakant, I was able to see the Grand Place of Belgium which was awesome and would be the great miss if I could not attend. Food , hotel , time management and spot visit arrangements by Mr. Ramakant was excellent and try to cover the whole without any hassle although it was hectic tour for all of us. We the full family and my daughter had enjoyed the lots and to be nostalgic in future to remember the Panoramic EU tourer, I wish to enjoy again with Star tour group. Pease keep me updated about your different packages and offer.

Very well organised.Brilliant Tour guide Mr.Ramakant and our excellent Driver JJ.With the help of Mr.Ramakant I managed to experience ice Flyer and walk on iron cliff bridge - otherwise I would have missed it.He showed us technique how to walk on Ice.It was my wedding anniversary as well .Enjoyed the entire trip.Will recommend to everyone

Scotland tour

1. You need to tweak your cancellation policies to protect customers as well as it’s very one sided. 2. Please provide umbrellas for UK Tours as other providers were providing as weather is unpredictable. 3. The guides & driver were very friendly and looked after us well. 4. Trip was well planned and all the Indian restaurants were very nice.

Thankyou Star Tours and Mr Dinshaw for an excellent trip to Belgium & Netherlands. Mr Dinshaw was an exceptional host of the tour and kept the group well engaged. The choice of locations was good, however the hotel seemed to be far from most locations. We used to reach the hotel late and exhausted. The lunch in Brussels was excellent and the 2 dinners in Eindhoven were good. Overall a very good trip, excellent service and host. Only suggestion would be reduce time on road and reach the hotel by 7 pm.

Beautiful Panaromic Europe Tour 👌👌👌

We have booked 5day/4night Panoramic Europe tour package. It was a greatest tour so far, carried beautiful memories for our life time. We enjoyed through out the tour without any complaints, starting from Coach,Tour Manager (Raymond Darwala-RD) such a nice personality gave his best to us, No complaints about food and accomodations. My 5 year old daughter enjoyed a lot. I definitely recommend this for those who wants to travel first without any knowledge about Europe.

The tour was hectic but good as we had dinshaw, the tour manager which made the experience even more better. He did a very good job and kept us entertained throughout our 3 day trip. We would like to tell you that the veg lunch was exceptional and the hospitality was too good. We did not enjoy that well the dinner was experience (in Holland) on both the days.

Amazing 'Treasures of Europe' trip with Pratik (tour manager) and star tour team!

This was our first trip with star tours and we took 9 days "Treasures of Europe" trip. From food to accommodation to sight seeing was well planned and executed. Our tour manager Pratik was very compassionate and took care of us through out the tour. He guided us, kept us well informed of the itinerary and most importantly Pratik and our captian Michael made us feel safe. Pratik definitely played an important role to make this trip memorable. Great experience with Star Tours (with Pratik & Michael)

We took our first Europe trip with Star Tours (9 days Treasures of Europe). For me, the highlight of the tour was our tour manager Pratik Mavani and our captain Michael. Pratik guided us at all the places, keeping us informed about each step of the tour, highlighting things to view, sites to enjoy & things to be cautious of. He also clicked most of our photos and recommended locations / areas from where the best photos could be taken. He took care of us just like his family. Michael was very calm and composed throughout the trip and made our trip comfortable. Both of them made the trip safe and enjoyable. Every thing right from food, accommodation, sight seeing was very well planned and executed. The food was also very delicious and had different Indian cuisines (Punjabi, Gujarati, South Indian,Italian etc.). We will definitely plan future trips with Star tours! The entire trip was well organised and…

The entire trip was well organised and coordinated to cover every aspect of the itinerary. The Manager (RD) was experienced and well trained. His assistant (Aarush) was supportive and helpful. The Coach Captain (Gareth) was a sweet man with the warmest of smile. The hotels where we were accommodated was clean and extremely comfortable. The food provided in the restaurants were tasty as well as well planned to accommodate every guest’s requirements. Overall a lovely and enjoyable trip for the family. Definitely going to book many more tours with them and also recommend friends and family to book via Star Tours.

We recently been to panorama Europe for 5 days.. our tour manager Mr Santosh was very good with his amazing knowledge about the places. Asst manager Ms Chitrangi was very helpful and kind. Our driver JJ has a special skill to drive you in comfort and also was very helpful. The places we visited were amazing specially mount Pilatus. The food with all types of varieties like Jain, Veg, Non-veg were amazing at most of hotels arrange by star tours.. overall this was an amazing and beautiful tour for us. I’m writing this much frustration that…

I’m writing this much frustration that whole tour’s got messed up from the beginning. 1. Tour itenary got changed from Venice to Rome, not to Florence which is actual planned itenary published in your website. We got to know the itenary changed at the few days before begining of the tour. This changed itenary made to travel 7 hrs whole afternoon and evening from 2.30 PM from Gandhi restaurant in Paduva to Gandhi restaurant at Rome at 10 PM. Imagine a family with small kids made to go through this tiring thing. 2. Gandhi Restaurant at Paduva who served morning breakfast and lunch - worst experience. Morning they served Mesel pav much late , can’t take it and tea is cold and watery. Similar experience at Lunch, limited option, not close to any standards 3. Gandhi Restaurant at Rome: after tiring journey of 7+hrs, we reached to Gandhi restaurant: ampience and location made me to think if this is right place to have a food with family. As I see group of gentleman fully drunk with loud music in the background, after we repeated raised with restaurant owner who seems no interest to hear from us. This is not just me who raised as whole group had experience and place is not welcoming completely. And finally food, no difference to the place in Paduva. 4. Only thing I feel positive, places they covered in short duration and Tour manager -Dinshaw who is very much in understanding and organized. So i advise anyone who reads this review and plan for Italy by flight trip. check and confirm if they go by itenary.

I recently went on the Panoramic Europe tour with Star Tours. Departure Date : 6 April 2024 Tour Manager : Santosh P Bus Driver : JJ Assistant Tour Manager : Chitrangi Santosh stayed calm and friendly no matter what happened. He was very funny and made the tour really enjoyable. He also told us interesting facts about the places we visited and passed by. If you get him as Tour Manager then consider that your Tour will be enjoyable and smooth. Our bus driver, JJ, was great too. He was really professional and made sure our journey went smoothly. He helped us through immigration in Britain and France He was also funny and knowledgeable. I did not experience a single hiccup or even minor inconvenience in the whole journey. Really impressed with JJ. Overall, I had a fantastic time on this tour with Star Tours. Thanks to Santosh P, JJ and Chitrangi for making it so enjoyable! Only improvement I would suggest is with the Quality of seating in Coach. Little bit extra space between seats will make everyone happy and comfortable. Mobile Charging Points in the coach needs to be in the accessible position.

Our family made the Panoramiic Euro star Europe trip with star tours.Our colleagues and earlier reviews helped to choose Star Tours. Huge shout out to our tour manager Surendra and the coach driver(Lady) who made the experience so smooth and hassle free. Hotel accommodation (except the one after Geneva- Not so bad but ok ) and the Indian foods (except the one after Luxembourg which was on the motor way - no body liked from the group). Overall the tour was well managed/coordinated by Surendra with his guidance skills to cover the intended places on time , soothing n on-demand music/situational movies 🎬 to enjoy the long journeys, Country histories before entering the borders etc..are the main highlights. If you want to relax withot exploring on the accommodation/food/major attractions by leaving it to some body else, then you have a choice of Star Tous to go with.Thanks Star Tours and Surendra👍

All pickups in Europe are subject to availability and should be checked at time of booking, as certain pickups and drops are only available for selected tours.

Charges are per adult and per child. An infant will be charges 50% of the pickup charges. 

Southall, Wembley, East London and Folkstone are guaranteed pick-ups. All other pick ups will be charged according to the above table. Please specify the most convenient pick-up point on your Booking form at the time of booking. However, if for any reason, your initially booked pick-up point becomes unavailable, we will inform you prior to departure. 

Dover pick-up will be provided only if the ferry departs from the port of Dover and therefore Dover pick up is not guaranteed at all times. Although we endeavour to provide this pick up we are able to confirm Channel crossing 7 days prior to departure. If Channel crossing is not available then we will not be using Dover for our outbound travel. If you require Dover as your pick up then we will be able to confirm if it is available for your tour 7 days prior to departure. You can initially select Dover although if its unavailable then you will need to change (Star Tours will not be responsible for any costs associated with you changing your pick up). 

You should plan to be at your joining point no later than 15 minutes prior to the departure times stated above as coaches will not be delayed for passengers arriving late. 

Returning Times

Return journeys from the continent are scheduled to arrive at Dover between 19.00hrs and 20.00hrs approximately. We will then proceed to original pick-up points in London (arrival time between 21:00 hrs and 23:00 hrs where all road traffic/border crossings are running on time). 

Waiting Time

We attempt to ensure that all listed departure/arrivals times are adhered to. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, there may be changes to the pick-up timings listed in our brochure. If there are any changes to your pick up, we will inform you 12 hours prior to your scheduled pick-up time. Due to congestion at ports of entry and traffic conditions beyond our control, there may also be delays in the times of your drop-off. Our representatives will communicate the details of waiting times to the parties concerned. On occasions where delays occur, there may be waiting times of up to 90 minutes. If the delay is more than 90 minutes for your drop-off then a meal voucher will be provided by Star Tours. Please take into consideration unexpected delays when booking onwards Flight/Train/Coach connections, as Star Tours cannot be held responsible for the loss or cost of any missed connections/bookings you may have.

Food & Service Stops

During scheduled pick up’s and drop-off’s, passengers are advised to carry water and food for their journey. Please note that en-route the driver will not be able to stop for breaks outside of the legal breaks. In the mornings, when you reach the point where you will join the group, the connection will be immediately and your tour will begin straight away. There will not be a chance for those who have travelled long distances to freshen up or have breakfast. As such, it is advised that passengers are prepared with comfortable clothing and a supply of water and food for that particular portion of their journey.

Type of Vehicle

During scheduled pick up’s and drop-off’s, passengers are advised to carry water and food for their journey. Please note that en-route the driver will not be able to stop for breaks. In the mornings, when you reach the point where you will join the group, the tour will begin straight away. There may not be a chance for those who have travelled long distances to freshen or have breakfast until the next available stop. As such, it is advised that passengers are prepared with comfortable clothing and a supply of water and food for the beginning portion of their journey. If you have arranged for an external pick up then transportation from your chosen pick up to the point where you will board the coach may be arranged by a private car, minibus or an alternative coach.

Sequence of Pick-Up and Drop-Offs

The pick-up and drop-off service is conducted to suit all of our customers throughout the UK. As our extensive range of locations span the length and breadth of England, the order of the service must be carefully planned. During your pick-up and drop-off, you may find that you will be travelling with other passengers who may be travelling to different destinations. The sequence of pick-up and drop-off will follow a systematic route through the various destinations. The pick-up and drop-off service will be grouped together as per the geographical locations of the respected locations. Star Tours will attempt to make each of the transfers as direct as possible, however please note that routes may be diverged. If your invoice does not state a pick-up time or states TBC, then please check with our sales team prior to travelling. If your pick-up time is stated then please arrive at your pick-up point at the time specified on your invoice.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off Amendment

You can change your pick-up point up to 10 days prior to departure free of charge. Within 10 days it may not be possible to make changes to your pick-up point. On bank holidays changes to pick up points or drops off can only be made 21 days prior to departure (Bank holiday for the purpose of the tour constitutes any departure which is active during the national holiday, regardless of the stage the tour is in). If possible then there will be a £10 admin charge per adult and child. Your choice of pick-up point will be by default your drop-off point. If there is any discrepancy between the two, please inform our reservation staff of the same. Any changes to either pickup or drop-off point within 10 days prior to your departure will be subject to an admin fee if it is possible for Star Tours to organise such a change. If no pick up point is selected at the time of booking, Wembley will be selected as a default pick up point.

Taylor Swift will soon launch the European, UK and Ireland legs of her record-breaking Eras tour.

Over the past year, the 34-year-old pop star has been performing her career-spanning shows at stadiums around the world, including North America, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore.

A month after the release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Society, she will continue the Eras tour with four nights in Paris at the La Défense Arena.

After this, she will perform two shows in Lisbon, Portugal, then a further two nights in Madrid, Spain, and Lyon, France.

UK-based fans (and those travelling to see Swift from overseas) will then get to see her live during three nights from 7 to 9 June at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland, before she heads to Liverpool and Cardiff.

Swift is booked to perform a staggering eight shows at Wembley Stadium in London, with the first three taking place between 21 and 23 June, before she returns for the final five nights of her UK and Europe tour between 15 and 20 August.

In between those, she will have also played in Dublin, Ireland, in Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich in Germany, Warsaw in Poland, and Vienna, Austria.

Ticketmaster recently announced a major update for fans with tickets to see Swift this summer.

In a five-star review of the very first show of Swift’s Eras tour , critic Kelsey Barnes wrote how the US star guided fans through more than a decade’s worth of “her best work”.

“Her ‘Eras Tour’ was designed as a journey through that staggering back catalogue of 10 albums, from her earlier country twang on her self-titled debut to the shift to synth-pop on 1989 , then to the subdued folk and alt-rock of Folklore and Evermore ,” she wrote.

“Throughout the opening night of the tour, it frequently feels as though the audience is being caught up with Swift’s past, present and future. In the 44-song setlist that spans three hours and 15 minutes, she shows why the “era” concept is so integral to who she is. Each chapter marks a specific shift in her artistry.”

The Tortured Poets Department, released on 19 April, is the pop titan’s 11th studio album. It appears to have been inspired, in part, by the five stages of grief. Ahead of the release, Swift shared five new playlists that arrange her songs into those stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

“These songs represent making room for more good in your life,” she says in a brief audio message that accompanied the final playlist, acceptance. “Making that choice. Because a lot of time when we lose things, we gain things too.”

Country star Lainey Wilson on her long road to Grammy glory: ‘Maybe I wasn’t as crazy as people thought!’

After slogging through poverty, indifference and Hannah Montana impersonations, the US singer is an award-winning sensation and selling out a UK tour. She explains why her genre is going mainstream like never before

Y ou get the sense the country music establishment really had no choice but to embrace Lainey Wilson: that she wasn’t going anywhere until they did. When the singer-songwriter arrived in Nashville in 2011, she parked her 20-foot bumper pull trailer on a studio’s lawn and anchored it with rocks. Then 19, she had lived country music all her life. But Nashville is what they call a “10-year town”, rarely a place of instant hits and TikTok fame. Wilson had to do it the old-fashioned way: a decade of graft, rejection, false starts, handing out CDs in the streets, gigs, tours and playing to the same crowds over and over.

Gradually, things started to click (a publishing deal in 2017), then gather momentum (six No 1s on country radio since 2021), then snowball (a record-breaking nine nominations at the 2023 CMA awards, winning five), culminating in February when her 2022 album, Bell Bottom Country , won this year’s Grammy for country album of the year . Wilson is now one of the hottest properties in country music. An overnight sensation 11 years in the making, as she puts it. “It feels great,” says Wilson, 31, over video call, with her irresistible Louisiana twang, “because it makes me feel like maybe I wasn’t as crazy as a lot of people thought I was. Like, I told ya!”

Wilson’s music is rooted in traditional country, but draws heavily from a more mainstream Nashville sound, plus southern rock and pop. There’s also a big Dolly Parton influence – her song WWDD wonders What Would Dolly Do whenever life gets tough. Drawn to the genre’s strong tradition of storytelling, she favours poetic, introspective ballads about typical country staples of hard truths and heartbreak. But for all the tough earnestness she’s got a playful swagger, too, and not just in a clutch of catchy anthems – when we talk, Wilson has just returned to Nashville from touring Australia, where she surprised fans by chugging beer from a boot.

“I never thought somebody on literally the other side of the world would ever be able to relate to my story,” she says, lying on a lounger on her lawn, mildly distracted by her french bulldog Hippy Mae ( an Instagram star in her own right). A feathered cowboy hat shields her from the Tennessee sun. “But it just goes to show you that we’re all a lot more alike than you think and that’s really beautiful.”

The Europe leg of her international tour reaches the UK this week . “I don’t know any other way than hardcore touring,” she says. “I’ve basically been touring for the past 15 years. Even longer than that if you want to add in eighth grade [when] I started impersonating Hannah Montana. That was my job; I did three or four parties a weekend, and I would open up for myself.”

Her ascension comes at a time when country music is surging and broadening in popularity. We speak the day that Beyoncé released Cowboy Carter , while Lana Del Rey has promised a country album for later in the year, and in the UK it is strengthening its embrace – country (or country-ish) songs by Beyoncé, Dasha and Noah Kahan are all currently in the UK Top 10, and Chris Stapleton is selling out arenas for his autumn tour. Wilson acknowledged the genre’s buoyancy with recent single Country’s Cool Again . “I’m very proud to be a part of that moment,” says Wilson. “I truly think it has to do with folks wanting to feel warm and embraced. And I think country music can do that.” She thinks there are many reasons for the renaissance, notably: the fashion returning (cowboy hats, denim, Wilson’s signature bell-bottom jeans), the immensely popular TV show Yellowstone (Wilson had an acting role in the show’s fifth season last year), and, of course, pop artists “going country”.

Does it matter if you don’t have traditional country roots? “There’s no doubt that I’m southern, I’m country, I’m a redneck, I’m whatever you want to call it,” she says. “But I think it goes a lot deeper than that, ya know?”

Wilson was born in 1992 and raised in Baskin, Louisiana – a small town with a population in the hundreds. Her father is a farmer (“corn, wheat, soybeans, oats”) and her mother a teacher. Wilson was a very “emotional kid” and when she wasn’t helping out on the farm she was writing music. At nine, she wrote her first song and got her first paid gig: a family friend paid her $20 to sing a capella at the grand opening of his nearby convenience store. Her dad still has the $20 bill.

After that she dreamed only of Nashville. “And for some crazy reason my parents were like: ‘OK, we’ll help you do whatever you need to do.’ They had a weird sense of peace about it.”

That family friend, Jerry Cupit, was also a songwriter and producer who moved to Nashville and set up a studio with financial help from Wilson’s grandfather. When Wilson was ready to move there, he let her park her trailer on his studio lawn, 10 miles out of town. More importantly, he became her mentor. “He didn’t ask me to pay a dime because of what my grandfather had done for him generations before,” says Wilson. “I was bumming water and wi-fi and electricity.”

It wasn’t without its dangers though. “My TV wouldn’t work at times. And so I never really knew what weather was coming in. All of a sudden my camper trailer would start to rock back and forth. And then tornado sirens were going off. It was scary.”

Nashville was not what she expected. “I was so overwhelmed,” she says, “A fish out of water.”

Then Cupit died. “I had to start over. I wasn’t old enough to go to the bars, and those were the places that you could go to meet people in the industry. So I started just knocking on doors and handing them my CD. I didn’t know what else to do.”

Her eventual breakthrough with that publishing deal came as a result of her finally finding the right collaborators. “For a long time I was running into folks [who were] thinking that maybe if I was just a little bit different than who I am, that would work. I just have a hard time being anything other than myself,” she says.

But part of the delay Wilson experienced is arguably down to the country music establishment’s attitude towards female artists: occasional breakout stars such as Kacey Musgraves, Carrie Underwood and of course Taylor Swift are relatively rare between the men singing about women, trucks and beer. It is, she says, “100%” harder for female country artists to break through. “But the way that I was raised, I keep my head down. It’s a hard pill to swallow. But I’m gonna outwork everybody, I’m gonna roll my sleeves up and damn it, I’m gonna figure out how to do it.

“It’s a boys’ club, but I tell all of my guy artist friends all the time: us girls are coming for ya so you better watch out.”

As for her take on the widening schisms in the genre – “The Culture Wars Are Tearing the Close-Knit Country Music Community Apart” ran a Rolling Stone headline last year – Wilson laments: “I hate that that is happening in country music. I’ve got friends on both sides of the fence. I just see people for people, and you just choose to love them and you know, the way that God loves you. But if you believe something with all your heart, and you want to stand up for it, I’m good with that, too.”

Wilson returns again to the idea that country music is open to all. “If you don’t step outside of the bubble then you’re not going to learn a lot about different types of people,” she says. “And the truth is, we all put our pants on the same way, one leg at a time, and we all bleed red. It just takes so many different kinds of people to make the world go round.”
