Two huge Bollywood concerts will take place in the UK this summer.

Hindi cinema superstar Hrithik Roshan will headline the first Stars On Fire production at London's OVO Arena Wembley on September 1, and Leeds' First Direct Arena on September 2.

He'll be joined on stage by guests Ayushmann Khurrana, Vaani Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Sanya Malhotra, singer Aastha Gill and comedians Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (July 7).

The first-ever UK tour ‘Stars On Fire’ will take place in London and Leeds.

Actors Hrithik Roshan and Vaani Kapoor, who set the screens on fire with their dance moves in the song ‘ Ghungroo ’ from ‘War’, will now ignite the stage in their UK Tour ‘Stars On Fire’.

The first-ever UK tour ‘Stars On Fire’ will take place in London and Leeds. It will take place on September 1 at OVO Arena, Wembley, London, and September 2 at First Direct Arena, Leeds.

Vaani said: "It's a special moment and feeling to share the stage with Hrithik Roshan. He is immensely talented and I am elated at this opportunity to set the stage on fire alongside him. Hrithik is not only an exceptional performer but also an inspiration. I can't wait to create unforgettable moments and give our fans an electrifying experience they will cherish forever."

She added: "I’ve been blessed to have super-hit songs as part of my filmography be it Gulabi, Nashe Si Chad Gayi, or Ghungroo. Indian song and dance is celebrated worldwide and has a massive fandom."

On the film front, Vaani is all set to captivate audiences as the leading lady in the upcoming film 'Sarvagunn Sampanna' by Maddock Films.

Furthermore, she will be headlining YRF Entertainment's streaming series, 'Mandala Murders', a gritty crime thriller created and directed by the acclaimed Gopi Puthran, known for his work on 'Mardaani 2'.

Dembi Productions’ ‘Stars On Fire’ UK tour has reportedly been postponed.

The star-studded tour featuring Hrithik Roshan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Vaani Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and others, was expected to take place on Friday 1st September at OVO Arena, Wembley and Saturday 2nd September at First Direct Arena, Leeds. Sources say that the event has been rescheduled for December 2023.

While tickets are still available to buy from venue box offices, TV, radio and online marketing of the event was pulled last week. Dembi Productions’ official Facebook and Instagram handles last new posts relating to ‘Stars On Fire’ were nearly a month ago.

Charli XCX has announced details of her upcoming 2024 UK arena tour. Encompassing her biggest ever headline shows in the UK, the newly announced dates will see Charli play arenas in cities across the UK in November and December.

She’s also set to release her highly anticipated forthcoming new album ‘BRAT’ with special guest Shygirl supporting on all four dates. Tour dates include stops in London, Manchester and Birmingham. Fans who pre-order ‘BRAT’ before 3pm on Tuesday, April 9l will receive early access to tickets.

The fan pre-sale starts on Wednesday, April 10 at 9am with tickets going on general sale on Friday, April 12 at 9am via LiveNation . More details about the fan pre-sale can be found on her website .

Stars Plot 20th Anniversary Tour of Breakthrough Record 'Set Yourself on Fire'

Montreal indie darlings Stars are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough record, Set Yourself on Fire.

The album is getting a vinyl re-release this summer on influential Canadian label Arts & Crafts, featuring rare additional songs. The band will then take the record on tour this fall for a fifteen-date anniversary tour, with Canadian stops in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver.

Written and recorded in a cabin during a fierce Canadian winter, with the help of Metric's James Shaw, the album is a dramatic storm of emotion right from its opening line: "When there's nothing left to burn / you have to set yourself on fire," spoken by vocalist Torquil Campbell's father, the late actor Douglas Campbell. Set Yourself on Fire was nominated for album of the year at the 2005 Juno Awards and was certified platinum in 2006, while memorable single "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead" had prominent placements in TV shows like The O.C. and Degrassi: The Next Generation . The album is a highlight from a period when Canadian indie bands like Broken Social Scene and Metric were garnering international attention, and music blogs were pushing indie music in general to new commercial heights.

20 years later, Stars are "still doing it all for the fans," the band states in an announcement. Patreon subscribers will have access to exclusive merch for the anniversary tour, as well as afterparties and band conversations. The band released their latest album in 2022, From Capelton Hill , which was longlisted for the 2022 Polaris Prize. Stars' Amy Millan also recently served as a consultant on the TV show Daisy Jones & the Six , which follows the trials and tribulations of life in a rock band.

Stars are far from the only band celebrating a big anniversary this year. French duo Air just announced a 25th anniversary tour of their 1998 album Moon Safari with dates in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Rockstars Green Day are celebrating two anniversaries this year — 2004's American Idiot and 1994's Dookie — with performances at Osheaga and Toronto's Rogers Centre. Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan is taking her album Fumbling Towards Ecstasy on a 30th anniversary tour this summer , and indie heroes Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service are coming to Vancouver and Toronto for the 20th anniversaries of Transatlanticism and Give Up.

Good Kid has been an out-of-nowhere online phenomenon over the last year. Since dropping their viral cover of Laufey's vocal jazz hit "From The Start," the Ontario indie rock band has cultivated an enthusiastic young fanbase that they've connected to on a deep level. Part of that is how they allow their fans to use their music for their gaming videos, their TikToks, their school dance projects, and offering up their music content ID-free . That's the story of their new video for "Dance Class," which is directed, choreographed and produced by and stars dancers Stephanie Romero and Nick Joseph. They first caught the band's attention by using Good Kid songs in their choreographed video projects, and now they're an official part of the band's lore. It’s been five years since the last full-length from Colombian-Canadian singer Tei Shi, and based on the latest singles, her upcoming album Valerie sounds worth the wait. “No Falta,” which follows the bachata ballad " QQ (Quédate Queriéndome) ," is a low-key love song, whose name translates to “nothing is missing.” Inspired by Brazilian tropicália, the song weaves together bubbling electronics, casual funk guitar and slinky bass lines, guided by Tei Shi’s smooth vocal. Alex Henry Foster, “A Silent Stream”

This Montreal-based rock musician, producer and composer’s first single from his upcoming album Kimiyo , out on April 26 features vocalist Momoka, who sings and narrates Alex Henry Foster’s contemplative lyrics in Japanese. “I wanted Momoka to make her own interpretation of the lyrical undercurrent and to express herself in her native tongue,” Foster explains. Over eight and a half minutes, he sets her voice amidst lush washes of keyboards and strings, creating a compellingly cinematic sound. Foster earned international acclaim and a Juno nomination as leader of the prog-inclined Your Favorite Enemies, and has since moved into post-rock territory as a solo artist. He has been very prolific of late, making a film, Voyage à la Mer , and another album, A Measure of Space and Sounds , all expected to appear in 2024. “If I could only find a way out,” sings Margaux Sauvé with a haunting, featherlight touch on Ghostly Kisses’ new single, “Crimson.” The track comes ahead of the Quebec duo’s latest album, Darkroom , and finds them reflecting on questions of personal and social freedom, inspired in part by the Women Life Freedom movement in Iran. With a propulsive beat, ominous organ chords, and Sauvé’s deft vocal, the single is both weighty and dynamic. One thing was clear following the first of two sold-out Guts Tour shows at TD Garden: Boston is “happier” with Olivia Rodrigo.

As colorful, star-shaped confetti rained down on the crowd Monday night, fans could feel a sense of relief and freedom in the air. The show was, in many ways, a cathartic release of emotions.

“I want everyone in here up and out of your seats,” Rodrigo told the crowd, welcoming everyone to the Guts World Tour. “I want you to jump around. I want you to scream.”

And scream, they did. At various points throughout the night, Rodrigo encouraged fans to let loose and release anything that might be stressing them out.

Toward the end of “all-American bitch,” Rodrigo asked the crowd to think about something that really enrages them, wait for the lights to turn off, and then scream.

“You’re going to scream at the top of your lungs, can you do that?” she said, as the crowd roared back.

You want the moon? For her fans, Rodrigo reaches for the stars

For her performances of “logical” and “enough for you,” Rodrigo not only shot for the moon; she actually rode one as she dangled atop a large, purple crescent moon, suspending above the floor seats. As she moved above the crowd and around the arena, the singer made sure to shout out those seated in the different levels of the balcony.

‘Growing up is so f—ing awesome’

From her debut album “Sour” to her sophomore album “Guts,” Rodrigo’s growth is clear not only in the lyrics and her voice, but in her confidence, too.

Ahead of performing “teenage dream,” Rodrigo opened up about the writing process and how she has come into our own since she first came up with the lyrics.

“I wrote this next song a few days before I turned 19 at a time where I just thought growing up was the scariest, worst thing in the world. I cried on every birthday,” she told the mostly female and overall, notably young crowd.

Reflecting on her most recent birthday in February though, she said, “I’m 21 now and I feel so happy and I feel like I know myself so well and if I could give any advice to my 18-year-old self, it would be that growing up is f–––ing awesome and you have no idea how much excitement and joy lies ahead of you.”

Boston fans are ‘so obsessed’

Rodrigo took time during the show to scan the arena and admire fans’ fits – a wave of purple, sequins, ribbons, sashes, and other music video-inspired themes.

“What a gorgeous crowd. Oh my god, I can’t believe my eyes,” she said, as fan cameras panned around. Watch the video below:

Rodrigo’s all-female band and dancers bring the fire

The energy of Monday night’s show would not have been the same without Rodrigo’s incredible all-female band and a team of backup dancers.

Boston’s love for Chappell Roan is anything but ‘casual’

Rodrigo’s opener, Chappell Roan, kicked off the show with powerful hits like “Femininomenon,” “Red Wine Supernova,” “Pink Pony Club,” and the fiery dance bop, “HOT TO GO!”

This week’s two tour stops in Boston were especially bittersweet for Roan, as she noted it was the last city on the Guts World Tour that she would be serving as Rodrigo’s opener.

“But I’m glad it was Boston,” Roan said, as the crowd cheered.

Later in the show, Rodrigo, who she shares producer Dan Nigro with Roan, spoke highly of the Midwest Princess.

“How incredible was Chappell Roan?” Rodrigo asked the crowd. “She’s amazing. I’m a big fan. She was actually my No. 1 artist on Spotify Wrapped last year.”

For those who missed Monday night’s show and are unable to get resale tickets for Tuesday night’s sold-out show, there will still be another opportunity to see Roan live this spring. The “Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl” singer returns to Boston on Sunday, May 26 for Boston Calling .
