A new dawn has come to the north of Ireland. Tourists from around the world now seek out wonder and excitement in Belfast. No visit to the area should go without a tour of the Titanic Experience, voted “World’s Leading Tourist Attraction’ at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2016 !

The Titanic Experience Tour allows you explore the origins of this tragic and legendary ship along with its passengers and crew. This tour is included in as part of Wild Rover Tours award winning Northern Ireland Highlights day trip. All entrance fees are included, access to the six-story building featuring nine interpretive galleries, full-scale reproductions, and the opportunity to walk in the shoes of those who built, served, and took passage on the ill-fated liner.

One of the most popular features of the tour allows visitors to experience the Shipyard Ride. This electronic dark ride provides an exciting and informative trip through the experience of constructing mighty passenger liners such as Titanic and her sister ships. Experiencing our Titanic Day Tour and the Titanic Experience does more than describe the history of one legendary ship. Giant's Causeway

titanic tour dublin

The day trip from Dublin to Belfast also brings visitors face to face with sites renowned worldwide for their unique beauty and provides a glimpse of the stunning scenery offered throughout our island.

One of the most popular stops on our Day tour to Northern Ireland from Dublin is also the most visited natural site in the north of the island, Giant’s Causeway . Volcanic activity tens of millions of years ago produced a unique field of flat-topped and ruggedly symmetrical stones lying between craggy peaks and the roiling sea. UNESCO has ranked Giant’s Causeway among its world heritage sites and many consider it one of the eight natural wonders of the world.

From unique stones to stunningly vibrant shrubs, the tour takes visitors next to Dark Hedges. These centuries-old hedges, planted by the House of Stuart to line a road leading up to Gracehill House, originally served to remind visitors of the family owners of that mansion. Over the years, they have extended their branches across the road to make a unique and almost haunting visage of dynamic plantlife.  No one comes through Ballymoney without snapping a picture of this world-renowned natural phenomenon.

This tour also includes the option to explore Belfast’s famous peace wall, brave the crossing of the  Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge , and other exciting sights on this award winning day trip to Northern Ireland and Belfast from Dublin.

  • Alexandra McDonald ★★★★★ 2 weeks ago What a fantastic and professional tour company! This Wild Rover tour from Dublin to the Cliffs was the perfect choice for my 7 year old and me. We were visiting Dublin for a long weekend and the Cliffs had been a bucket list item, and not stressing about driving was my main reason for booking. I reserved on their website directly (a fair price!) and went to the meeting point that day at 7am. They have … More large, comfortable coaches with their logo. The Cliffs are magnificent and a must-see! The driver Garry and our guide Rory were so professional and entertaining. Rory pointed out landmarks as we drove, gave us a comprehensive history of Ireland, and had such a lovely personality all day! We made a rest stop on the route there and back (no WC on the bus). We returned back at 7:30pm and it was such a great (albeit long) day. Furthermore, Rory came through the cabin as we were arriving back in Dublin to answer any personal questions we had about the area, and took a few minutes to recommend local restaurants, pubs, and experiences that we would find useful. Absolutely recommend!!
  • Bob Carey ★★★★ ☆ a week ago Our tour guide Barbara was great. She was very entertaining and informative. The Giants Causeway was beautiful and breathtaking. My only disappointment was the Black Cab tour. Our driver was not aware of our passengers, at one point we had to get back in the cab to go no more than 150 feet…. He presented the time of the Troubles from his perspective as a youth growing up. Otherwise, I highly recommend … More Wild River.
  • Chang Liu ★★★★★ a week ago We did the Cliffs of Moher and Galway tour with Kiera and had the best time. Kiera was simply one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had! She explained the Irish history so thoroughly and clearly; she might as well be a history professor! She’s also very funny and so, so friendly. All the shops and restaurants she recommended in Galway were spot on. The tour’s organization was quite smooth and we can’t … More complain a thing. Highly recommend wild rover tours.
  • Sara Mouyass ★★★★★ in the last week Absolutely informative and lovely tour to the Cliffs of Moher! Both our driver and guide were really nice people, and respectful of our morning tiredness! Our guide, Yvonne, gave absolutely useful and historical info as well as fun stories/facts when that was needed. I'd recommend Wild Rover anytime if you'd like to spend an amazing journey across Ireland! 😊 Thank you!
  • Michelle Calheiros ★★★★★ a week ago I went to Ireland in April '24 and booked two day tours leaving from Dublin; one to the Cliffs and another to Wicklow. Both tours were amazing, truly! I never really leave reviews but felt compelled to share my positive experience because I traveled solo and felt safe and entertained the entire time. I made friends on the trip and got to experience some amazing places, some really good food, and … More a lot of cool stories thanks to the guides. The day to Wicklow was with Liam, he was extremely funny and very passionate about the locations we visited. The day tour to the cliffs was with Ciara and Steven, both very helpful, fun, and professional. Overall, I had an amazing experience, and I would recommend Wild Rover to anyone looking to see Ireland and learn about the beautiful country while having a lot of fun.
  • Mary Norton ★★★★★ 3 weeks ago We truly enjoyed this tour! The driver and host were so knowledgeable and entertaining. The visit to Kilkenny was grand. The experience in the mountains, holy land and sheep farm were all beautiful and lovely! You need to do this tour!
  • Joshua ★★★★★ 3 weeks ago We found this trip well worth the price to experience and see some of "real" Ireland. Kilkenny was a great little city with plenty of shops, restaurants, and history to explore. Glendalough was such a fantastic time. From the history, to exploring the grounds, to the picturesque walk to the upper lake, it was perfect! The sheep farm was a great experience as well, the whole family enjoyed … More it! We were three adults, a 13 year old, a 5 year old, and a 2 year old. All enjoyed it and had fun! Tour operators Elisa and Peter were great!
  • Christina McElroy ★★★★★ 2 weeks ago We had the most amazing trip to the Cliffs with Yvonne and Steven. She was so funny and knowledgeable, I would follow her anywhere!! Such a wonderful tour and tour guide. Truly enjoyed our visit. Eventho it was foggy it was still beautiful 😍
  • Shauna ★★★★★ 3 weeks ago My family took this tour and it was wonderful! We loved the Titanic museum and the history there. We also loved seeing Dunluce Castle and the gorgeous views there. Then we ended tour at the causeway, which was also amazing. Our tour guide, Una was wonderful and gave great information for the area. We would recommend this tour and company, and hope to be back soon for another tour!

Worth a visit if in Cork

Visited here as a group of 5 having read about it on line. Upon entry you are given a boarding pass of a real life passenger of the titanic, at the end of the tour you can look up your passenger name and find out their story and whether they survived- really brought the experience to life. There are lots of artefacts and information on the tour and many real life stories to discovery. All in all we really enjoyed the experience and the story around Cobh and the titanic which is often over looked. Would definitely recommend.

dunluce castle

Photo Stop at the Incredible Dunluce Castle

We need to make our way right to the north coast of Ireland on this tour, so this stop at Dunluce Castle is only for 5 or 10 minutes. Dunluce Castle is simply too impressive to pass without giving our guests a few minutes to take a few photos and appreciate perhaps the most photogenic castle ruins in Ireland! Dunluce Castle was built in 1513. There’s something incredible impressive about what remains of the structure as it sits atop the cliffs. Dreamer26110905755 2 weeks ago Great day ,great guide and very interesting loads of info on the heritage of parts of northern Ireland, I would definitely recommend this tour.

klp330206 3 weeks ago Wonderful trip Daniel and our driver made this long day wonderful and fun. He kept us on time and even entertained us with songs and his guitar. The Giant’s Causeway was amazing and we had enough time to enjoy it. The titanic museum was just what I expected – great. Thanks for a great day, Karen Peterson

Soong L 2 months ago The tour was so interesting and very enjoyable. Bernard, The Tour Guide, was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We highly recommend the tour.

AnnaD198 2 months ago Great tour company. Our tour guide was amazing…really nice and entertaining. He even sang a couple of songs on the bus…wonderful! As per the sightseeing – well worth going -Giants Causeway is beautiful to see and the Titanic museum was very interesting and informative. Overall it was a 5 star tour!!!

LisaB1963 3 months ago Long day on a tour bus made enjoyable by our driver, Captain John. During the drive he gave an informative but just enough background on Irish political history explaining how Ireland ended up separated and lots of hints of necessary things to know and do for an even more enjoyable trip. Fully recommend our driver, he seems to enjoy what he does for a living and it translates to how he treats his guests. I feel we had enough time to experience most of it, and ended up back in Dublin in time for a late dinner (9ish). About the titanic experience, so you know, it’s a compilation of pictures, video and audio describing the boat and the day it went down. There are no artifacts. Giants causeway is so cool. Waterproof coat and hood are a must. Hiking shoes good too, rocks are slippery. Afterward there is a hotel lounge and a restaurant serving hot beverages and snack if desired.

Kayla A. 2 months ago Our tour guide was very funny and genuine, and the tour had the perfect amount of stops–really felt like we got a feel of Ireland in a short period of time.

MZaidi227 3 days ago Loved the tour with Jack and Neil C My husband and I spent a delightful day with Jack and Neil C. We took off from Dublin. It felt like a bonus tour because it was combined with tourists who were going to see the Game of Thrones sites; whereas we were headed to the Titanic museum. The soft lilt of the story teller’s voice drew pictures of giants and Irish myths. He also communicated the rich history of northern Ireland very well, and how lucky we were to visit an area that was undergoing rapid development. I wish I took all my tours with this company. They are the absolute best.

Travel North from Dublin

You'll meet your local guide, driver, and the rest of your group at a convenient location in central Dublin as you head off on a full-day adventure to Northern Ireland. Hop onto your air-conditioned coach for a beautiful morning drive up the Irish coast and countryside. After a drive of roughly 3 hours, you'll arrive on the dramatic northern coast of the Emerald Isle.

The Dark Hedges and Dunluce Castle

After a picturesque drive through the rolling hills of Ireland, the first stop of the day is the Dark Hedges. Lined by centuries-old beech trees that create an otherworldly atmosphere, the Hedges have been a setting of many films like Transformers and TV series like HBO's Game of Thrones. On the latter, the Hedges portrayed the King's Road which connected King's Landing to Winterfell.

Continuing through the land of Northern Ireland (and Westeros) you'll stop for a photo at the historic Dunluce Castle. This medieval stone fortress is full of history from the Vikings to the Spanish Armada. It is most famous though today as the home of House Greyjoy on the Island of Pyke in Game of Thrones.

The Giant's Causeway

Just down the road from Dunluce Castle, you'll arrive at the natural marvel that is the Giant's Causeway. Created about 50 million years ago from the cooling of Volcanic lava, the Causeway is a massive pathway of hexagonal stone structures that lead out from the cliffs into the Irish Sea. A geologically stunning area, it has become the setting for legends and mythology for ages.

Your guide will tell the legend of the great Finn McCool in depth. The story goes that the Irish giant built the Causeway to Scotland only to discover that the giants in Scotland were not so friendly. Long story short (not to spoil your guides in-depth rendition), Irish cunning prevailed and a Scottish giant destroyed the causeway in fear of the great Finn McCool.

The Giant's Causeway is one of the most beautiful sights on earth. On a sunny day, you can look across and see the Scottish isles in the distance. Walk through the amazing structure, taking in the perfect symmetry of the columns, the amazing flora and fauna around, as well as that wonderful Atlantic breeze on the shore.

After a few fascinating stories from your guide, you'll have plenty of time to walk on the rocks, find a nice spot to sit and enjoy the views, or drop into the visitor center to learn more about the geology of this unique location.

The Titanic Experience, Belfast

The ocean liner RMS Titanic is undoubtedly history's most famous ship, subject of countless movies and books since its maiden voyage ended in disaster in April 1912. Though it departed from Southampton in England, the ill-fated boat was actually built in Belfast. A pride of the famous ship-building city, Titanic was seen as the future of travel. Today, on the site where the boat was built, you will visit the Titanic Experience.

At the museum and learning center, you'll travel through the history of the Titanic from concept to building to the stories of the passengers and crew of the voyage, both victims and survivors. Through interactive experiences and even a historical amusement ride, the Titanic Belfast is a must-see experience while in Northern Ireland.

After visiting the Titanic Belfast, enjoy some free time in the Northern Irish capital before heading back to Dublin for the evening. This great value day trip is sure to be a top memory on your Irish vacation!

We do not stop at any restaurants/ cafes for lunch. Bringing your own packed lunch is recommended as cafes and pubs at the tourist attractions tend to be overpriced. Also, it would take up the time that you could have spent in exploring the attractions. As this is a group tour, please be considerate and be reminded that we will not wait for more than 5 minutes after the given time at each stop. The language barrier is not an acceptable excuse. Please make sure to check with our driver/ guide if you are not sure. They are always happy to help. If you are planning on bringing a child under the age of 3, please note that you will have to contact us to check if there is a seat for them. Also, you will have to bring your own child seat. We will not allow any child under 3 years old to travel on our vehicle without a child seat. - There are parking garages around the pick up location to park your car if you choose to bring your car. Please note to arrive early to pick up as the parking garages are approx 20 minutes walking distance away from the pick up point. - There are no bathrooms on board of the coaches. Please use the restroom before you arrive to the pick up as our first stop will only be after approx 2 hours. - There is a reasonable amount of walking involved, so the tour is not recommended for people of reduced mobility or people with back problems. - Please note that if any passengers are drunk at any stage of the day they will be refused entry on to the coach. - Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a rain jacket just incase. - All times and the order of the locations is approximate and may not always follow the itinerary on the website.

Giant's Causeway and Titanic Museum Day Tour from Dublin

Get the complete package as you travel to Northern Ireland's most popular attraction, the Giant's Causeway along with the Titanic Museum in Belfast all in one day!

At 06:35 you will start boarding the bus outside the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin and get ready for an incredible day tour to Northern Ireland.

Leave Parnell Square North at 06:45 as the highly trained guide will entertain participants with fascinating stories about Dublin, the northern countryside, and the legends and myths that pervade Ireland. As they travel, participants will learn about Ireland’s rich history on their way to the day’s first destination: Dunluce Castle.

Dunluce Castle

The tour briefly pauses at Dunluce Castle for just 5 to 10 minutes. Dunluce Castle, constructed in 1513, is regarded as one of Ireland's most picturesque castle ruins. The stop allows guests a moment to capture photos and admire the stunning remains of the castle, which is perched dramatically atop the cliffs.

After visiting Dunluce Castle, the tour continues to the Giant’s Causeway, often celebrated as the eighth wonder of the world. Visitors will have approximately 1.5 hours to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, the most frequented tourist attraction in Northern Ireland.

Giant's Causeway

During the Giant’s Causeway tour from Dublin, participants will discover fascinating details about this geological marvel, which is composed of about 40,000 interlocking hexagonal basalt columns formed over 50 million years ago. The tour also delves into the legendary tales of the Irish giant Finn McCool, who, according to local folklore, created the Causeway as a bridge to Scotland.

Dark Hedges

The Dark Hedges are a 300-year-old avenue of beech trees, originally planted as the approach to Gracehill House, remains a stunning visual spectacle. The lane continues to impress 300 years later and is now considered the most photographed natural phenomenon in Northern Ireland. Known as the Dark Hedges, this scenic road has featured in notable films and TV series, including "Game of Thrones" (as part of King's Road) and a "Transformers" movie, making it a prime location for both amateur and professional photographers.

Titanic Museum Belfast

Next stop of the day is The Titanic Belfast and is recognised as one of the world's leading tourist attractions. Spanning nine interactive galleries, the exhibition offers a multidimensional experience through special effects, rides, and full-scale reconstructions. This museum, celebrated for its elaborate portrayal of the Titanic's story, represents a significant investment in time and money, ensuring a unique and educational visit for all who explore its halls.

Visitors can explore the shipyard, delve into the ocean depths, and discover the true story of the Titanic at the Titanic Museum in Belfast, the birthplace of the ship.

The museum narrates the Titanic's journey from its conception and construction to its launch and tragic maiden voyage that sealed its historic significance.

Employing modern technology, film, archival materials, scale models, and interactive displays, the museum provides a 90-minute tour that vividly brings the history of this iconic ship to life.

Belfast City

The tour schedule includes a minimum of 30 minutes for participants to enjoy Belfast's city centre. This provides a pleasant pause from sightseeing, allowing time to recharge before the return trip to Dublin. It also offers an opportunity for shopping and grabbing a bite to eat.

Return to Dublin between 19:30 and 20:30, depending on traffic and weather conditions.
