Wallows Will Celebrate Album ‘Model’ With Their ‘Biggest and Best’ Tour Yet

The boys of Wallows promised arena rock on their new album Model — and they are sticking to their word. On Monday, the alt-rock band announced tour dates in the United States and Europe for their upcoming Model World Tour, which includes stops at NYC’s Madison Square Garden and LA’s Kia Forum.

“I can confidently say this is the first time that I’m really anticipating a tour announcement ,” Dylan Minnette told Variety as they announced their tour dates, which include stops in Las Vegas, Boston, and San Diego. “I’m more nervous than ever — but not in a negative way. I know it’s going to go well. I know our fans show up but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it every day.”

Wallows announced their album Model in an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this month, describing it as “very honest and authentic” and “imperfectly perfect.”

“We want this to be the most approachable album we’ve made. I want people to put this on if they’re not really a fan of us, and be gripped immediately,” Dylan Minnette said. “We don’t want to take too much of their attention, but we want to keep it. We keep them the whole time and make them want to come back.”

Joining the band on the road in the United States will be Benee, the Kiwi pop star responsible for “ Supalonely ,” “Glitter,” and “ Green Honda .”

Tickets for the shows go on sale to the general public on March 15 at 10 a.m. local time, while Wallows newsletter subscribers get first access to a presale starting on March 12 at 10 a.m.

Multi-platinum alt-rock trio Wallows have announced their eagerly awaited global tour in support of their forthcoming album Model . Wallows’ Model Tour , their biggest tour to date, was revealed this morning with a spectacular short film directed by Nina Ljeti and stars the band themselves, along with a few of their friends. Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off August 6 th in Portland, OR at Alaska Airlines’ Theater of the Clouds and will take the band across North America, Europe and the United Kingdom (full list of shows below). The 38 city tour marks Wallows’ first ever headline performances at Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Budweiser Stage, Alexandra Palace, Zenith, and AFAS Live. Additionally, very special guest Benee will join the band on all North American dates.

Wallows (composed of Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston) have been best friends since the age of 11. Ich wollte schon immer die Wallows sehen und ich war vor 3 Tagen da und bin immer noch geflasht und ich komme nicht drüber hinweg. Wir kamen 2 Stunden vor Einlass und waren verhältnismäßig weit vorne. Wir waren dann mittig in der Crowd und es war echt ein Banger. Cole hat 2 mal mit mit interagiert und ich komme nicht drauf klaar!!! Die Mitarbeiter in der Fabrik waren auch nett und man hat auch kostenlos Wasser bekommen. Bei der nächsten Tour bin ich auf jeden Fall wieder dabei Omg. Habs geliebt3

Wallows announce ‘Model’ world tour dates in UK, Europe and North America

The tour is in support of the band's upcoming third album

Wallows have announced their 2024 ‘Model’ world tour with dates in the UK, Europe and North America.

The trio – comprised of Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston – are set to kick off their biggest tour to date at the Alaska Airlines’ Theater of the Clouds in Portland, Oregon on August 6. From there, the band will make their way across the US with stops in major cities such as Seattle, Las Vegas, Austin, Atlanta, New York, Boston and San Fransisco. The North American leg of the ‘Model’ tour will wrap up at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California on September 12.

Wallows will then make their way to Europe in October to play gigs in Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, and Luxembourg before heading to the UK with stops in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Manchester. The tour will end with a show at London’s Alexandra Palace on October 22.

Benee will serve as opening support for all of the North American dates. A ticket pre-sale will be available for Wallows newsletter subscribers (register HERE ) starting on Tuesday March 12 at 10am local time through Thursday March 14 at 10pm local time.

A pre-sale will also be available for Citi cardmembers. They will have access to pre-sale tickets for US dates beginning March 12 at 10am local time until March 14t at 10pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program .

Elsewhere, the band previously spoke to NME back in 2022 as part of the In Coversation series and opened up about how tour life was influencing their next album.

“From a creative standpoint, we are thinking about the next album. I feel like our fans will be excited about our ideas – but we might change our minds!” Minnette shared.

Wallows Announce Their Biggest Tour Yet With Dreamlike Short Film, Tease Upcoming Single (EXCLUSIVE)

Wallows - the alt-rock trio  of Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston - will embark on the biggest global tour of their career starting later this summer.

"I can confidently say this is the first time that I'm really anticipating a tour announcement," Minette tells Variety of the band's 38-city tour comprised of their first-ever headlining performances at arenas including Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum. "I'm more nervous than ever - but not in a negative way. I know it's going to go well. I know our fans show up but I haven't been able to stop thinking about it every day."

After announcing their upcoming album "Model," slated for May 24, Wallows unveiled the news of a global tour on Monday with an accompanying short film starring all three members and Benee, who is set to open for the band's North American dates.

"At first, the film was something Live Nation [who is producing the tour] tasked us with. We had creative freedom and so we just wanted to see how far we could take it… and I think it's fair to say it's beyond what Live Nation was expecting," says Minnette. "But at the end of the day, it is promotion for the tour. That's what it is but we took it and made it this ironic, sort of meta thing."

Directed by Nina Ljeti, the eerie video was shot at Los Angeles' Kia Forum and is composed of several easter eggs for die-hard Wallows fans to piece together.

The film starts like a typical promo reel, with Minette discussing the first time he attended a show at the Kia Forum but quickly takes an ominous turn as the viewer follows three separate plotlines for each bandmate.

In the end, the trio is reunited, fueled by a mysterious glowing tent representing "what's coming next for the Wallows, the future - which is unknown as of right now," adds Preston. "In the scene where the light gets turned off and the other ones are blinking, it's sort of us walking through what was the setup of our last tour and arriving to what's next: a mystery."

Other parts of the film are "completely random," says Lemasters, whose love for golf is a prominent theme in his scenes. "Those details - for example, the choice of casting our friends - was almost like a nod to our fans who have been with us to say even though we are playing bigger spaces, we still share these memories and elements," adds Minnette.

"We wanted to keep it as homegrown as possible. Our friend Danny who plays with us is the guy in the video wearing the sunglasses and trench coat - that character is called Double-o-Danny, which is the name of an Instagram account that Braeden and Danny formed on our first tour. It's the little things."

With more stage room to work with than their previous, 2022 tour, the ideas for the stage design are next level… and just a tad bit over budget. "I went big with my initial pitch," says Minette, adding that they are still pinning down logistics. "We've landed on something that is an extension of what we are putting our visually right now."

"The visuals for the album started to fall into place once we decided that the album was going to be called ‘Model,' and once we started floating around ideas with [art director] Aidan Zamiri, the entire story started to make sense," adds Lemasters, nodding that the nuances of what "Model" can mean - "Model home, Model citizen, Model album, etc." also has a lot to do with the tour's stage design.

By the time they finished the recording sessions for "Model," Wallows had recorded 25 songs with John Congleton, who also produced the band's 2019 debut LP "Nothing Happens." The album's second single, "Calling After Me," is due to arrive on March 21.

"It sounds like what you would imagine or kind of hope that the Wallows would sound like," says Preston. "It's an easily accessible, kind of light on its feet but still intricate and precise record. We hope it gets our fans excited while also drawing in new listeners."

Wallows Announce Global ‘Model’ Tour

Multi-platinum alt-rock trio Wallows have announced their eagerly awaited global tour in support of their forthcoming album Model. Wallows’ Model Tour, their biggest tour to date, was revealed this morning with a spectacular short film directed by Nina Ljeti and stars the band themselves, along with a few of their friends. Watch the eerie, horror-film esque video which was shot at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum below.

Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on 6 August in Portland, OR at Alaska Airlines’ Theater of the Clouds and will take the band across North America, Europe and the United Kingdom . The 38 city tour marks Wallows’ first ever headline performances at Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Budweiser Stage, Alexandra Palace, Zenith, and AFAS Live. Additionally, very special guest BENEE will join the band on all North American dates.

The tour announcement follows Wallows triumphant return with the release of Your Apartment last month – the first track off of the band’s forthcoming album , Model , and their highest streaming debut to date. The second single Calling After Me is due to arrive on 21 March. The John Congleton-produced album arrives on 24 May via Atlantic Records.

MORE ON WALLOWS:

Wallows (composed of Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston) have been best friends since the age of 11. They began playing music together in the LA music program Join the Band almost two decades ago and haven’t stopped since. In March 2022, the band released their Sophomore album, Tell Me That It’s Over, produced by 3x GRAMMY Award-winner Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend, Haim, Adele). TMTIO saw Wallows continuing on their ever-evolving journey of sonic exploration, fusing a vast array of musical ideas – from lo-fi post-punk and indie-folk to early ’90s dance-pop psychedelia – into their own one-of-a-kind creative vision.

TMTIO marked the full-length follow-up to Wallows’ hugely popular 2019 debut album, Nothing Happens, produced by GRAMMY Award-winner John Congleton (St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten). The album proved to be one of that year’s highest streamed debuts. In the live space, Wallows have headlined sold out shows around the globe and have performed at marquee festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Reading and Leeds, and more.

Pro Tips When Buying Your Tickets

First, on the day of the presale or general onsale (whichever you prefer), login to your Ticketmaster account ( go to my account or sign in located on the upper right corner of the page ) at least 15 minutes ahead of the sale time. If you don’t have one,  create one now .

Be sure to add your billing info (aka credit card info) before jumping into the digital queue for a quick check-out. Once the presale starts, remain in the digital queue. Only use one browser window because using multiple browsers or devices and multiple accounts with the same phone number can result in errors. Trust, it’s happened to us before! Don’t refresh your page, do be patient, don’t leave your page, do get those tickets!

What To Do If Tickets Are Sold Out?

If tickets sell out, your other option is to buy them via online resellers like VividSeats or StubHub. When all else fails, we prefer these resell options because both offer a 100% Guarantee. You can also purchase resell tickets through Ticketmaster’s resell program. Just search for the concert or event you want to attend , and see if they have any resell tickets available. Alternatively, you can hit it old school style and show up at the concert when the box office opens and wish upon a star that they release more tickets, or hopefully, another concert-goer has an extra ticket to sell at face-value or even giveaway for free.
