“Elphen” nennen wir uns, wir Guides die um die Elbphilharmonie touren. Ihr dürft mich

allerdings auch gerne Anna (Pasieka) nennen. 😉

Nachdem ich einige andere Berufe ausprobiert hatte und musste ich feststellen, dass sie

nicht so recht zu mir passten. Da hat mich 2011 schließlich eine frische Brise nach Hamburg

zum Schauspiel Studium geweht. Ein großes Glück, wie ich heute finde! Die “schönste Stadt

der Welt” und endlich ein Beruf, der zu mir passt! Heute unterrichte ich Schauspiel auch.

Mit dem Tourguiding habe ich 2017 ein Hobby zum Beruf gemacht.

Denn Freunde und Familie hatte ich bereits ausgiebig durch Hamburg geführt.

Da ich nicht nur gerne esse :-), sondern auch viele Jahre fröhlich im Gastgewerbe gejobbt

habe, bringen mir die kulinarischen Touren besonders viel Spaß.

Die Hafen City ist mein Steckenpferd, aber die Neugierde auf weitere Touren in anderen

Stadtteilen wächst. Wer weiß also wo man sich bald noch so trifft…

Seit 40 Jahren ist Hamburg meine große Liebe. Warum? Weil die Stadt alles hat, was man sich von seiner Liebe wünscht. Sie ist überraschend wie die Sturmflut, die die Wege überspült, die ich eben noch mit meinen Gästen gegangen bin. Sie ist schön, wenn z.B. in der ‘Blue Hour‘ die Lichter im Hafen angehen. Sie ist bunt und vielfältig wie die Bewohner, die „geborene“, „gebürtige“ oder zugezogene Hamburger mit unterschiedlichsten Wurzeln sind. Sie ist aufregend, weil man nie alles erfassen kann, was gleichzeitig in Hamburg los ist. Sie wird nie müde, was man morgens um 4 in Erikas Eck erleben kann, wo Nachtschwärmer und Schichtarbeiter die besten belegten Brötchen der Stadt essen. Sie ist voller Kontraste…..

Ich könnte immer so weitermachen. Aber ich sollte ja etwas über mich erzählen! Ganz viel habe ich schon verraten: denn wie kann man sich besser beschreiben als über das, was man liebt. Und meine  Lieblingsbeschäftigung? Ganz einfach: am liebsten zeige ich anderen ‘meine‘ Stadt‘, so dass sie sehen, hören riechen, fühlen können, was mich so begeistert.

Ich bin Christian. Eigentlich Student, aber weil mir das Arbeiten an der frischen Luft und mit anderen Leuten so viel Spaß macht, bin ich seit Januar Stadtführer. Ich bin vor zwei Jahren nach Hamburg gezogen, habe mich aber selbst ausführlich mit Hamburg auseinandergesetzt und weiß als Student natürlich auch was so in der Stadt los ist. Mir macht es wirklich Spaß als Stadtführer unterwegs zu sein und immer neue Menschen kennenzulernen und etwas Neues zu erleben. Sei es spontan auf einer Tour Tim Mälzer zu treffen oder aber 3 Stunden lang im Hamburger Regen die leeren Straßen erkunden. Ich mache vor allem die kulinarische Schanzenführung und genieße es am Samstagabend bei schönem Sonnenuntergang meine Gäste durch die Partytreibenden zu führen. Aus Liebe zu der Stadt…

…zeige ich unseren Besuchern sehr gern sowohl die bekannten Highlights als auch die Überraschungen, die diese schöne Metropole zu bieten hat.

Da ich gebürtiger Hamburger bin, schlägt mein Herz natürlich besonders für dieses tolle Fleckchen Erde! Und so nutze ich neben meinem hauptberuflichen Office-Job im E-Commerce jede freie Minute, um mit unseren Besuchern – fast wie mit Freunden – durch die Stadtteile zu ziehen und vieles zu erleben.

Am allerliebsten am Hafen. Und rund um die Reeperbahn. Da ich auf den berühmt-berüchtigten Partymeilen schon selbst so manche Nacht durchfeiert habe, kenne ich mittlerweile zahlreiche Bars & Clubs. So kann ich gemeinsam mit meinen Gästen die ideale Tour auf die Beine stellen.

Besonders gefällt mir, dass Adventure World Tours wirklich großartige Gäste hat. So entsteht auf den Touren sehr schnell eine tolle, freundschaftliche Beziehung und man verbringt die Stunden entspannt, locker und mit viel Spaß – auch mal bis in die Nacht hinein!

Früher war ich als Reiseleiterin hauptsächlich in Nordafrika unterwegs, doch jetzt fühle ich mich sehr wohl im Norden und das schon seit über 30 Jahren. Und wie schön hier in Hamburg so manch eine Ecke ist, das möchte ich Euch soo gerne zeigen.

Ich bin die Isabel und wollte schon seitdem ich Teenager bin, unbedingt mal nach Hamburg ziehen. Wie gut, dass ich mir den Traum mittlerweile schon zum dritten Mal erfüllen konnte.

Mein Lebenslauf ist kunterbunt und bei jedem Vorstellungsgespräch wurde ich bisher neugierig erwartet, „wer da wohl nun kommt“.

Ob als Flugbegleiterin, Maskenbildnerin, Animateurin oder Standup Comedienne,

ich zaubere gerne meinen Mitmenschen ein Lächeln ins Gesicht und werde nicht müde Neues zu lernen.

Mein Leben war nicht immer nur lustig, aber das Schöne ist, im Nachhinein kann man über alles lachen und das ist doch auch das, was das Leben so schön macht.

Euch durch diese wunderschöne Stadt zu führen, ist mir ein wirkliches Vergnügen und ich bin dankbar für so viele tolle Menschen, die ich durch Adventure World Tours schon kennen lernen durfte.

Moin! Ich bin die Julia und mache hauptsächlich die Stadtführungen auf St. Pauli. Ich bin im wundervollen Hamburg geboren und aufgewachsen. Was soll ich sagen – einmal Hamburg, immer Hamburg! Neben den Touren bin ich außerdem Ausbilderin und kümmere mich um unsere Azubis. 2020 werde ich mein Tourismus Studium beenden und dann das Team bei Adventure World Tours als Büromitarbeiterin tatkräftig unterstützen.

Moin ihr lieben,

Willkommen in der schönsten aller Städte, die Stadt der vielen Flüsse, Kanäle und einzigartigen Geschichte. Die Stadt Europas mit den meisten Brücken und vielen netten Menschen. Von wegen Venedig des Nordens, wenn dann ist Venedig das Hamburg des Südens.

Nun aber zu mir: Ich bin der Fynn, ich studiere derzeit Soziale Arbeit und habe schon lange den Wunsch gehabt eines Tages in Hamburg zu wohnen. Ich bin zwar in Norddeutschland geboren und aufgewachsen, habe aber erst vor wenigen Jahren wieder den Weg hierher gefunden. Es trieb mich weit raus von Berlin über Magdeburg bis nach Neuseeland. Ich liebe das Reisen, welches ich in den letzten Jahren auch ausgiebig getan habe. Natürlich umgebe ich mich am liebsten mit entspannten und interessanten Menschen, zum Glück gibt es sehr viele dieser Menschen hier in Hamburg, weshalb ich erstmal nicht mehr hier wegwill.

Ich freue mich euch auf einer Reeperbahn Tour die lange, spannende und ein wenig gruselige Geschichte des Hamburger Kiezes näher bringen zu dürfen.

schon in den frühen 60er Jahren bin ich mit dem Stadtteil St. Pauli in Berührung gekommen, als mich mein Vater mit zu den Heimspielen des FC St. Pauli nahm. Zu diesem Club gehe ich auch heute noch zu (fast) allen Heimspielen.

Habe seit über 50 Jahren alle Entwicklungen und Veränderungen in diesem aufregenden Stadtteil miterleben dürfen und habe auch noch Ende der 60er Jahre den Star-Club besuchen können, wo die Beatles ihre sagenhafte Karriere in Hamburg begannen.

Als Mona wurde ich geboren und als Mona bin ich in Hamburg unterwegs. Ob auf dem Kiez, in der Speicherstadt oder rund um die Musical- und Theaterwelt.

Tatsächlich bin ich ausgebildete Schauspielerin und ja, ich stehe auch schon mal im Mittelpunkt. Allerdings nicht immer beabsichtigt. Ja, ich bin ziemlich laut und lache viel und oft. Ich liebe Hamburg und die Menschen hier (außer diejenigen, die mich morgens nach dem Aufstehen ansprechen).

Was für eine Liebeserklärung für die schönste Stadt der Welt. Elbe, Hafen, Alster, Hafencity, Speicherstadt – ich könnte noch ewig weiter aufzählen.

Aber das ist alles nichts gegen mein St. Pauli.

Mein Name ist Stephan und eigentlich bin ich der typische Hamburger Spießer. Ich bin verheiratet, habe zwei erwachsene Söhne, lebe in einem kleinen Einfamilienhaus und arbeite beim Roten Kreuz am Hamburger Flughafen.

Aber wenn es Abend wird, dann wir aus dem Spießer Stephan, der Paulianer Stephan.

Wenn ich meine Gäste treffe, sind wir noch Fremde, aber nach zwei Stunden Bummel durch den geilsten Stadtteil der Welt, mein St. Pauli, sind wir mehr, dann sind wir Freunde.

Und oft geht es dann noch weiter zum Griechen in der Davidstraße, oder Pizza am Hans-Albers-Platz, oder in eine der unzähligen urigen Kneipen, oder einen der besten Clubs, oder, oder, oder…

Moin und Hallo, Timo mein Name. Ich bin zwar nicht direkt in Hamburg, aber immerhin im direkten Umland aufgewachsen. Als angehender Musiker hat mich besonders St. Pauli stehts fasziniert.

Hier herrscht eine Toleranz und Menschenvielfalt, wie sonst fast nirgendwo in Deutschland. Gerade für mich ein wunderbarer Ort mich frei zu entfalten und selbst zu verwirklichen – sei es nun auf der Bühne selbst oder als Partygast.

Klar gibt es auch hier den ein oder anderen eher anstrengenden Gesellen, aber sind wir mal ehrlich: wo gibt es den nicht? Sollten wir auf unserem gemeinsamen Spaziergang durch die Reeperbahn nun doch mal gestört werden, macht euch keine Gedanken, Konfliktfreie Kommunikation ist eine meiner Stärken. 😉

Mein Name ist Petra, ein fröhliches Kind geboren in Düsseldorf.

Meine Mutter gebürtige Hamburger Deern.

Mein Vater aus dem Reich der Mitte.

Und wenn Ihr jetzt glaubt, dass ich auch Touren auf Chinesisch halte, muss ich Euch leider enttäuschen.

Das kann ich nämlich gar nicht. Meine Muttersprache ist deutsch.

Als Musicaldarstellerin war ich auf vielen Bühnen in Deutschland unterwegs.

Und durch meine Leidenschaft zur Musik, habe ich so manche Bühne gerockt, mal als Gitarristin, Keyboarderin und als Sängerin.

Doch ein flüchtiger Ausflug in die Rote Flora, auf Kampnagel oder ins Schmidts – Tivoli Hamburg und die Liebe zur Stadt wurde stärker, um zu bleiben.

So habe ich etwas „Anständiges“ gelernt und wurde Reiseverkehrskauffrau.

Hey, nun lasst Euch verzaubern von meiner faszinierenden Stadt Hamburg, meine Perle!

Manchmal weht eine steife Brise und manchmal begegnet man einen sturen Fischkopf.

Aber alles in allem: Jetzt ma‘ Butter auf die Fische!

Ich bin Tobi (großes T, kleiner Baumarkt) und ein echter Hamburger, der mit allen Elbwassern gewaschen ist. Ich spaziere gern durch Hamburg und da war es naheliegend, mein Hobby zum Beruf zu machen. 😉

Neben den Highlights Hamburgs, die ich immer wieder anschauen darf, sind es vor allem die Gäste, die für mich den Reiz der Touren ausmachen, denn durch ihre bunte Mischung bleiben meine Touren auch für mich immer unterhaltsam. Man weiß nie, wer einen so erwartet und so gilt es doch immer, den Spagat zwischen Professor, Animateur und Historiker zugleich zu wahren. Eine Herausforderung, aber auch eine die viel Spaß macht! Mein Ziel ist es, dass sich meine Gäste einbringen und deshalb versuche ich, meine Touren interaktiv zu gestalten. Aber keine Angst: Der Wohlfühlfaktor kommt nicht zu kurz. Liebe Gäste, gerne möchte ich mich euch vorstellen. Ich bin Ute, liebe meine Geburtsstadt Hamburg, und es ist eine große Freude für mich, Gästen aus der ganzen Welt mein Hamburg zu zeigen.

Geboren 1960 auf der Elbinsel Finkenwerder, bin ich in einem sehr ländlichen, ruhigen und plattdeutsch sprechenden Teil von Hamburg groß geworden – bi mi kannst du also ok en beten Platt liern J – doch die andere Elbseite mit ihren städtischen Verlockungen hat mich dann spätestens in der Pubertät sehr angezogen.

Hamburg war in den 70er und 80er Jahren eine raue Stadt. Ich hatte eine wilde Jugend, doch ich habe Abitur und Studium erfolgreich bewältigt und viele Jahre als Softwareentwicklerin, Trainerin und Coach gearbeitet.

Meine Arbeit als Tourguide ist nun quasi meine „Alterskarriere“ – das normale Büroleben habe ich hinter mir gelassen und freue mich, dir und allen Gästen von Adventure World Tours Hintergrundwissen und witzige Geschichten zur Hamburger Hafencity, Speicherstadt und Elbphilharmonie erzählen zu können. As an alternative, you can also grab FreeNow, which is an app and similar to Uber except typically used within Europe. I’ve used this several times in Germany, France, and other parts of Europe. We used it while in Hamburg because we were traveling with my Father in Law who was fairly jetlagged and tired of taking public transportation at the end of the day. I hardly saw taxis available, although there are a few within the city, I found it more convenient to take a FreeNow car.

Another great option to travel around Hamburg is by the hop on hop off bus . The Hop-On Hop-Off bus service in Hamburg provides a fantastic way to explore the city’s highlights at your own pace. With this convenient and flexible tour option, you can board the double-decker bus at any designated stop and hop off whenever a particular attraction catches your interest. This provides you a fast way to see the most in one day in Hamburg.

By Bicycle or Scooter

If the weather is great traveling by bicycle or scooter is a great option. Although it is illegal to ride your bike on the sidewalks within Germany, so you must keep that in mind. You must cycle on the road with the traffic. You must always cycle on the right side of the road. This can be quite intimidating especially if you don’t know the traffic laws within Germany. If you don’t feel comfortable biking abroad, I suggest you join a  biking tour in Hamburg .

Additionally, some scooters require you to have a driver’s license these days which has to be verified within the app.

Miniatur wunderland.

Miniatur Wunderland is the world’s largest model railway exhibition, featuring intricately crafted miniature landscapes, detailed cityscapes, and an extensive network of model trains running through various themed sections. Spanning multiple floors, Miniatur Wunderland showcases miniature replicas of famous landmarks, bustling cities, picturesque landscapes, and even fictional scenarios, all brought to life with meticulous attention to detail.

If you only have one thing to do for one day in Hamburg, let it be this. It’s one of the best things to do in Hamburg. The Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg is one of the most popular museums in Germany and is a great place for train enthusiasts. I highly suggest you buy your tickets in advance as certain time slots can sell out pretty quickly. When we booked our tickets, we were only able to get some evening slots and that was 2 months in advance. They book up faster during the summer months of course versus the off-season in Germany during the fall and winter. 

Elbphilharmonie

The Elbphilharmonie is an architectural masterpiece and one of Hamburg’s most iconic landmarks. This stunning concert hall is located in the HafenCity district, perched atop an old warehouse building with an observation deck overlooking the Elbe River. This is popular destination to visit and a must for one day in Hamburg.

Designed by the renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron, the Elbphilharmonie has beautiful architecture that is characterized by its striking glass facade and wave-like roof structure. It stands as a testament to modern design and has become a symbol of Hamburg’s cultural renaissance.

Inside the Elbphilharmonie, you’ll find exceptional concert halls, including the world-class Great Hall with its awe-inspiring acoustics. It can accommodate over 2,000 guests and hosts a diverse range of performances, ranging from classical orchestral concerts to contemporary music events.

There are a lot of Hamburg boat tours being so close to the water and the port of Hamburg. As you cruise through the tranquil canals, you’ll have the opportunity to appreciate the picturesque charm of Hamburg’s historic districts, such as the charming Deichstrasse and the vibrant St. Pauli neighborhood. St. Michael’s Church

In every town and city in Germany , you will always find a church. If you aren’t a religious person, you can easily skip this, however, many of the churches within Germany and many parts of Europe were designed to be beautiful. It was important to show how “rich” the city was based on the size and how intricate the church was. 

St. Michael’s Church, locally known as “Michel,” is an iconic landmark and one of the most recognizable symbols of Hamburg. This impressive Protestant church stands proudly in the heart of the city’s historic center and offers visitors a glimpse into its rich history and architectural grandeur.

Even if you aren’t a religious person, St. Michael’s Church has an ascending tower to a viewing platform that shows the city skyline. Climbing the 452 steps rewards visitors with panoramic views of Hamburg’s cityscape, the bustling harbor, and the picturesque River Elbe. It’s a truly mesmerizing sight, with spectacular views, and offers a unique perspective on the city. If you aren’t great with tight spaces, I don’t suggest you try this. Many cathedrals like this one have narrow spiral staircases and during the summer months can be quite hot!

Hamburg Town Hall

​​The Hamburg Town Hall, or Rathaus, is a magnificent architectural gem and a prominent symbol of the city’s history and governance. Located in the heart of Hamburg’s Altstadt (Old Town), the Town Hall stands as a testament to the city’s wealth and power during the Hanseatic era. This building is quite beautiful and we absolutely loved it. There were a few souvenir shops around here and a cafe as well. 

The construction of the Town Hall began in the late 19th century and took over 40 years to complete. It is a stunning example of neo-Renaissance architecture, characterized by its intricate façade, ornate detailing, and grandeur.

Beatles Square

If you are a Beatles fan, this is something for you. Beatles Square, also known as Beatles-Platz, is a vibrant public space in Hamburg that pays homage to the iconic music group, The Beatles. Situated in the St. Pauli district near the famous Reeperbahn, the square holds historical significance as it commemorates the band’s early years in Hamburg, where they honed their skills and gained international recognition.

At the heart of Beatles Square lies a distinctive circular design featuring a large compass motif. The names of the band members, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, are inscribed around the compass. The square is adorned with bronze statues of the band members, capturing their youthful presence and dynamic spirit which makes it one of the popular tourist attractions in Hamburg.

The Alter Elbtunnel, also known as the Old Elbe Tunnel, is a fascinating architectural marvel in Hamburg. This is a pedestrian and vehicle tunnel located beneath the Elbe River, connects the city center with the district of Steinwerder on the southern side of the river.

The construction of the Alter Elbtunnel began in 1907 and was completed in 1911. It was designed to provide a direct route for pedestrians and cyclists to cross the river, as the increasing traffic necessitated an alternative to ferry services.

The tunnel itself is an impressive feat of engineering, featuring tiled walls, arched ceilings, and a unique charm that reflects the era in which it was built. It stretches for approximately 426 meters (1,398 feet) and reaches a depth of 24 meters (79 feet) below the river’s surface. If you are lucky, you might run into some musicians that like to play down there.

Where to Stay in Hamburg

Hamburg offers a wide range of accommodation options to suit various preferences and budgets. The best place to stay in Hamburg depends on your interests, preferred neighborhood vibe, and proximity to attractions. 

There are several areas that are great to stay in Hamburg. The Alstadt (also known as the city centre) and HafenCity would be the best location to stay in almost any city within Germany. It’s where most of the action is, from stores, restaurants, and more it’s an ideal location that can get you from A to B within the city. If you want to party, then stay in the St. Pauli/Reeperbahn area.

Not at all, but if it’s all you have, then that’s all you got. However, spending one day in Hamburg does not provide you with much time. That’s why I wrote this post to give you the most of your trip to Hamburg. We managed to travel to Hamburg in one day and while not ideal, it was a great introduction to the city where we could experience some of Hamburg’s highlights.

When it comes to sightseeing in Hamburg, there are two popular travel passes that provide access to important attractions and museums either for free or at discounted rates, along with complimentary use of public transportation: the Hamburg Card and the Hamburg City Pass.

The Best of Germany tour was such an amazing experience that I'll never forget. The itinerary was really great, especially in such a short amount of time. Amy was full of knowledge about this beautiful country & I really enjoyed listening to the history of the country & the passion she bought to the tour. The hotels were great, although no air con can be quite challenging when it's a hot day, but so many European hotels are similar - so more just something to note. I do wish we spent more time away from the major cities & was able to explorer more of the regional parts of Germany e.g. Black Forest, Rothenberg etc. Overall such an incredible time in Germany & would absolutely use Trafalgar again.

Highlights of Germany

We really enjoyed the tour. It was a real rush, packing so much into only 10 days. There were only a few minor irritations which were provided in detail directly to Cosmos. I was not very satisfied with the service provided by TourRadar, however. .We asked several questions in the weeks before the tour and did not get answers and our tour package did not arrive until barely a week before the tour. By that point I was in such a panic that I contacted Cosmos to see what was wrong. They were most helpful. In future we will be dealing directly with companies like Cosmos rather than using TourRadar.

Germany and Norway

I have referred Tourradar to numerous friends and family and will continue to do so. Our Germany-Norway trip was outstanding! We have done a lot of travel but never enjoyed a trip more thanks to Europamundo and our guide Julio Villar, we have never had a more conscientious, hardworking, enthusiastic guide. We knew nothing about Europamundo when we reserved two trips to Europe this year & ended up with them as the Tour Company. After the Germany-Norway experience we knew we hit the jackpot with Europamundo & Julio !!!. What people love about hamburg tours.

The trip was packed with activities and experiences. The tour director was excellent. Christina was very helpful and friendly. We purchased all the optional experiences and thought all were worthwhile except the last one. We will book a similar trip in the future

A fascinating, (sometimes too) whistlestop tour of German towns and cities. The tour guide Zsofi and her driver were probably the best I've ever had - they were helpful, upbeat and very clear in their instructions. Trip 'Good' rather than 'Excellent' because of the location of the hotels, most of which were so on the outskirts of a city that it limited what we could do in our free time. Also, some days towards the end of the tour were a bit rushed - the whole thing could stand to be at least two days longer.

There were many places that Europamundo was not totally forthcoming and just a very short list that I see as shortcomings. I will be writing a letter later. 4 different buses, 3 different guides, only 13 English speakers with 9 being my family, not one hotel even near the city center, and paid much money for us to be picked up at 2:15 am to get to airport and never showed up. Needed to pay for a taxi to take us there. This will be followed with letters

Andre, our guide, was very considerate and personable. Perfect amount of information and humor by a local Hamburger. Highly recommend.

We visited Sankt Georg for the first time and Andrea made our experience unforgettable. She shared lots of local insights and historical facts about one of Hamburg's most diverse districts. As for the food: most of the time they had vegetarian options. Overall would highly recommened getting to know Sankt George with Andrea.

The tour in general was very good and informing upon the district of St. Pauli and the story of the place.

We spent most of our hour of visit outside the building listening to the guide telling us about everything that went wrong during the whole design, build and start-up of the building. When we finally went in, there was an escalator taking us to the gallery level. The guide added a few words and then ended his tour leaving us at the coffee shop of the building. We had not seen the main target of our trip: the concert hall. We left disappointed: not only about what we had seen as a result of the Swiss Architectural work (an oversized megablock of a building lacking the necessary artistic appeal) but even more about the overpriced "tour" which gave us hardly any information about the building.

Too expensive for a 1 hour tour. Unfortunately nothing special that would justify the fee. We left a bit underwhelmed.
