About Jelly Roll
Outright genre-bending singer/songwriter/rapper Jelly Roll has quietly been building a remarkable career, under the radar and on his own terms. Since his days selling his mix tapes out of his car, he has constantly been independently releasing new music (more than 24 albums), touring relentlessly, consistently topping various iTunes charts, engaging a rabid fanbase and creating videos that have amassed nearly 2 billion views on YouTube. He pairs deeply personal lyrics with music that blends Old-school Rap, Classic Rock, Country and Soul to create music that is therapeutic, raw and tackles the heaviness in life.
His 2020 single “Save Me” — a confessional, vulnerable expression of self-doubt set the stage for his new season of life and took him to new heights, with more than 155 million views on YouTube and Platinum certification from the RIAA. Born and raised in Nashville’s Antioch neighborhood, the former addict and drug dealer released his album Ballads of the Broken in 2021, ahead of his sold-out hometown show at the famous Ryman Auditorium, which sold out in under an hour. The introspective 10-track album shows Jelly Roll’s growth as an artist and man, drawing from his personal experiences to tell the story of a man who has been through the ringer and isn’t afraid to share his raw truth, featuring his multi-week No. 1 Rock hit “ Dead Man Walking ” and his No. 1 Country debut single “ Son of a Sinner .” Now after a history-making “breakthrough year” ( American Songwriter ), having just sold-out Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and released the riveting anthem “ NEED A FAVOR ” along with the soul-stirring ballad “ she ” from his highly anticipated forthcoming album, the reigning No. 1 of Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart for more than 25 weeks and counting is well on his way to mainstream, multi-genre stardom.

Jelly Roll is on a roll.
First, the crossover country-rap star’s hit single “Son of a Sinner” hit number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in January 2023.
Now, riding that wave of momentum, he’s announced his massive ‘Backyard Baptism Summer Tour’ that will send him to amphitheaters, county fairs, festivals and arenas all over North America from May through August.
Midway through the run, Jelly Roll’s ‘Backyard Baptism’ will dip into Darien Center, NY’s Darien Lake Performing Arts Center on Aug. 3.
But wait! There’s more!
Jelly Roll won’t be going it alone on this tour.
He’ll be joined by special guest country stars Ashley McBryde, Chase Rice, Elle King, rappers Merkules, Struggle Jennings, Three 6 Mafia, Yelawolf and comedian Josh Adam Meyers on select dates.
“Don’t miss it when this circus comes to your town,” Jelly Roll shared on Instagram .
And if you want to run away with Jelly Roll’s circus, you can grab tickets as early as today .
Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Feb. 24, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before they’re officially on sale.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.
Jelly Roll 2023 tour schedule
The ‘Backyard Baptism Tour’ gets underway at Key West, FL’s Coffee Butler Amphitheater on May 5.
From there, the country-fried rapper (or hip-hop influenced country singer) will bring his unique sound to big market cities like Virginia Beach (Aug. 12), Milwaukee (Aug. 18), Las Vegas (Sept. 1), Phoenix (Sept. 16) and Lexington (Oct. 10).
Jelly Roll and co. close the tour at Tampa’s MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fair Grounds on Oct. 14.
Plus, he’ll also headline Bloomington, IL’s four-day Tailgates and Tallboys Festival from June 14-17 alongside Nickelback, Chase Rice and Warren Zeiders.
On top of that, Jelly Roll has a handful of co-headlining concerts with Eric Church lined up this year as well.

To get you up to speed, you can check out each of his opening act’s most streamed song (and in Josh Adam Meyers’ case, his podcast) on Spotify below.

Chase Rice : “Eyes On You”
Elle King : “Ex’s & Oh’s”
Merkules : “Bass”

Josh Adam Meyers : “The 500”
Jelly Roll new album
The versatile 38-year-old recently spilled to Music Mayhem that this debut country album is “coming in April or May of 2023.”
“I’m really proud of it. I’m going to have some features on it. It’s a country record for sure,” he continued.
“I think ‘Son of a Sinner’ was just kind of showing people what I could do, but we also got some real kind of rock records on there…and we’ll have a couple of songs where I’m spitting a little bit too. So it’s still true to Jelly Roll for sure.”
In the meantime, you can listen to the album’s expected lead singles, “Need A Favor” and “She” here.

More recently, he released “ she ” as well as his current radio hit, “ NEED A FAVOR ” — both from his highly anticipated forthcoming album. Having independently amassed more than 4 Billion career streams to date, Jelly Roll made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2022 and continues to sell-out venues across the United States-recently playing to more than 16,000 fans at his sold-out show hometown venue at Bridgestone Arena. His 2020 single “Save Me” — a confessional, vulnerable expression of self-doubt set the stage for his new season of life and took him to new heights- has earned more than 155 million views on YouTube and Platinum certification from the RIAA- and continues to resonate with fans and tap into Jelly’s uniquely-connective ability to bring fans “therapeutic music.”

About Jelly Roll Outright genre-bending singer/songwriter/rapper Jelly Roll has quietly been building a remarkable career, under the radar and on his own terms.

Jelly Roll 2023 Backroad Baptism Concert Tour: Tickets and Dates
By Maxim Mower
Link copied
Jelly Roll is taking his genre-blending sound across the US in 2023 via his Backroad Baptism tour, which kicks off on July 28.
The Nashville maverick will be joined by a star-studded array of artists, including Ashley McBryde , Chase Rice, Elle King, Yelawolf, Three 6 Mafia, Struggle Jennings and Merkules.
The tour will open in Southaven, Mississippi, and will take the ‘Need A Favor’ hitmaker across states such as Florida, Montana, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, West Virginia and more.
Despite already having an expansive discography to his name, 2022 was the year Jelly Roll stormed into the country charts and began building his rapidly growing fanbase.
Towards the end of the year, he momentously sold out Nashville's Bridgestone Arena - a feat made all the more special by the fact that he was performing to a hometown crowd.
He's continued this momentum into 2023, earning his first ever Country Radio No. 1 in January with his moody hit, ‘Son of a Sinner’.
It's safe to say fans will be eagerly awaiting the chance to hear the chart-topping single live during Jelly Roll's Backroad Baptism tour.
The tour's name is a nod to Jelly Roll's journey of redemption through music, after the artist's struggles with addiction and his former life as a drug dealer.
It's set to be hosted by comedian, Josh Adam Meyers.
Elsewhere during the summer, Jelly Roll will be joining up with Eric Church for a handful of his hotly anticipated Outsiders Revival tour dates.
Jelly Roll has also been booked for a slew of festivals, including Country Concert and Tailgate N’ Tallboys Bloomington .

Jelly Roll , alongside Struggle Jennings and Caitlynne Curtis, united for the Backroad Baptism Tour in Huntsville, AL. Despite it being a Tuesday night with school starting the next morning, the Orion Amphitheater was completely sold out with over 8,000 enthusiastic attendees. The event felt like a joyous homecoming party.
The night was masterfully hosted by Josh Meyers , who engaged the crowd with his unique covers of popular songs, eliciting laughter and enthusiastic participation. Each artist’s performance was seamlessly connected by Josh’s interactions, ensuring a consistently high-energy atmosphere. Caitlynne Curtis took the stage and delivered an exceptional performance, showcasing her incredible vocal talent and leaving a lasting impression. Her band members added to the warm-up, setting the stage for a series of outstanding acts. Their passion for the music was evident through their radiant smiles and enthusiasm.
Struggle Jennings and his band followed, captivating the crowd with an electrifying intro leading into a mix of country and hip-hop songs like “Troubadour,” “Alligator Boots,” and “Struggle is Real.” Struggle’s blend of musical styles, featuring riffing guitars and traditional western elements like the fiddle, thrilled the audience. He also performed powerful duets with Caitlynne Curtis, leaving everyone in awe of their deep crooning and harmonies.
Jelly Roll took the stage, greeted by the roaring chants of the eager audience. His hour and 40-minute set included a mix of his classic hits and new songs, ensuring everyone got their favorite tunes. The concert was a rollercoaster of emotions, with people dancing, singing, and even shedding tears. Jelly Roll’s infectious smile throughout the night reflected his appreciation for performing in this special venue. Friendship was displayed throughout the night as well, as Jelly Roll’s whole team filled both side of the stages for his epic performance and when Struggle Jennings, who has been best friends with Jelly Roll for 20 years, joined him on stage for an unforgettable performance of Fall in the Fall.
The lighting and stage design were impeccable, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that perfectly complemented the tour’s theme. From religious motifs to a trailer park and the streets of Nashville, each set was visually captivating, enhanced by impressive effects like pyrotechnics and falling sparklers during Save Me.
Jelly Roll fondly reminisced about his early days as a regular performer at the Benchwarmer in Huntsville, making the event feel like a warm homecoming for both him and his friends. The show lived up to Jelly Roll’s motto of delivering “real music for real people with real problems,” providing a night of celebration, therapy, and healing for the audience. The Backroad Baptism Tour undoubtedly stands as the highlight show of the year.
The tour continues through October of 2023. For upcoming shows, visit https://jellyroll615.com/pages/tour-dates .
