Blink-182 Confirms 2023–2024 World Tour, New Music With Classic Lineup Featuring Tom DeLonge

blink-182, blink-182 reunion, blink-182 reunion tour, blink 1-82 traavis barker, blink-182 mark hoppus, blink-182 tom delonge, tom delonge, mark hoppus, travis barker, blink-182 tour dates, blink-182 new music, blink-182 new album

Blink-182  is heading out on a massive world tour in 2023 and 2024 with its longtime lineup of  Mark Hoppus  (bass, vocals), Travis Barker (drums), and Tom DeLonge  (guitar, vocals), the latter of whom has not been involved with the group since 2015. The trio will celebrate the announcement with the release of a new single, “Edging”, on Friday, October 14th.

The new track marks the first output from the Hoppus-Barker-DeLonge Blink-182 lineup since 2011’s Neighborhoods , for which the members largely recorded from different locations amid mounting intra-band tensions. A press release notes that the “Edging” recording sessions were the first time in a decade that the three musicians had been in the studio together.

The tour, touted as the pioneering ’90s/’00s pop-punk outfit’s most ambitious outing to date, will begin in March 2023 with a Latin American run of headlining shows and high-profile festival appearances including headlining sets at  Lollapalooza events in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil .

The band will arrive in the U.S. on May 4th, 2023 for a show in St. Paul, MN before spending May, June, and July frequenting arenas and stadiums across North America. In September, Blink-182 will travel across the pond for 20+ European tour dates before returning the the States to headline the 2023 edition of  When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, NV. Finally, Hoppus, Barker, and DeLonge will round out the global trek with a trip to Australia and New Zealand in February 2024.

Travis Barker solidified the band’s lineup in 1998 after original drummer Scott Raynor  was ousted from the trio due to his struggles with alcohol abuse. Hoppus, Barker, and DeLonge went on to become one of the biggest acts of the late 1990s and early 2000s with albums like 1999’s  Enema of the State , 2001’s  Take Off Your Pants and Jacket , and 2003’s  Blink-182.

DeLonge has left the band on two separate occasions. In 2005, Blink-182 took an “indefinite hiatus” due to the guitarist’s desire to tour less and spend more time with family. During that time, Hoppus and Barker continued to perform together as +44  while DeLonge formed  Angels & Airwaves . Blink-182 re-formed in 2009 for an often dysfunctional reunion stint that ran until 2014. In 2015, DeLonge exited the band once again and was replaced by guitarist  Matt Skiba . Blink-182 has released a pair of successful albums, 2016’s California  and 2019’s  Nine , in the time since DeLonge’s last departure. DeLonge has found new notoriety as a UFO researcher , among other things.

The latest Blink-182 reunion wave began to build when Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in 2023. When both DeLonge and Barker happened to visit Hoppus at his home at the same time, the three had an impromptu reconciliation. “We got into more life stuff. What we’ve learned over the years about ourselves. How we’ve grown, how nothing really matters when it boils down to what we were dealing with in that moment,” DeLonge told GQ of the chance meeting in a 2021 interview . “And so, it wasn’t some big meeting about Blink-182, it was more about brothers meeting and saying, ‘How do we support Mark?’”

Hoppus’ chemotherapy proved to be successful. In September 2021, he announced in an Instagram post that he was cancer free. On Halloween he appeared during Barker’s  House of Horrors livestream for his first live performance since his diagnosis .

Never a band to shy away from innuendo, Blink-182 revealed its latest reunion and new track via a pharmaceutical commercial-style video all about how “they’re gonna come.” The end of the video also features a snippet of “Edging”, though it appropriately does not play to completion.

WAIT FOR IT !!!........... LIL WAYNE cancelled just hours before the show (rolling my eyes) so needless to say happy we showed up at 9pm because instead of lil wayne the fans were entertained by music mashups of rock and rap (crappy mix ups by the way) and music by the backstreet boys or n sync not sure which boy band it was but i was super annoyed when i heard the near sold out crowd singing along of "i want it that way" really crappy song but all these idiots were singing along like it was 6th grade but on to the positive blink 182 put on a great set for a whole 60 minutes yep 1 hour started at 9:30 was done by 10:30 great set pyro, smoke, cool video stage set up NO TOM DELONGE some new guy not his fault he played great but it wasnt teb same he didnt really sound like TOM so it was like blink 182 karaoke for some of the songs and the short set time I mean shit lil wayne doesnt show these guys could have saved the day and played longer but in typical rock star fashion they charged full price for tickets delivered half of a show and a short set disapointed much ? YEAH I WAS hate to say it but I mean it wasnt a 20 dollar ticket here tickets were not cheap but the amount of entertainment vs the amount paid for the ticket was not EQUAL felt pretty ripped off as a whole save your money this go round NOT WORTH THE CASH plus we drove 4 hours to go to this show so a few hundred dollars later we got and hour of a headliner entertainment hell KISS are 70 years old and played for 2 and a half hours the tickets were pricey but hell they were showmen and lots of fire, pyro, smoke, fireworks, ect stunts elevating risers ect so you tell me if its worth it to go see 40 year old entitled punks vs 70 year old vets who are doing a cash grab no doubt but are still delivering an experirience

Show exceeded expectations and was THRILLED we didn't have to listen to Lil Wayne - bonus. Thanks to St. Louis for helping to move him on his way to the next venue. Loved hearing Enema of the State in its entirety. Wish they had included Always but the other added songs were great as well. I thought Matt sounded great and thoroughly enjoyed a couple of the songs from California and NINE. Sad no encore but had a total blast singing along and dancing. Super charged stage show and Travis' drum solo was amazing but never long enough for me! (I'm sure plenty long for him - what a work out!) Neck Deep also put on a great performance. They are a GREAT opening act for Bink. Thanks for the show - and long lasting memories.

Blink 182 has been my favorite band as a kid back in ‘96 when I first heard of them and will always be. I finally got to see them live for the first tine ever in 2016, 20 years later because they came close to my hometown in Greenville, SC. Then about 3 months later to my actual hometown in Charleston, SC. I was close to the middle up front and had the time of my life. I thank the whole band for making one person’s dream come true just to see you live. I’ve always wanted to meet Mark and Travis!! I was so like it’s cool when Mark tried to throw me a pick but it landed short and he apologized and he Ent on with the show. But my heart filled up with joy when, in my opinion, the greatest drummer in the whole universe, Travis Barker!!!!, acknowledged me when I gave him a thumbs up. Wish I could meet and talk to then!! A dream for a lifetime. Blink 182 you will always be number 1 to me and hold a special place in my heart as you do to millions of fans!! Love you all and can’t wait for the bext album!! Including Mark’s new band aka The Side Piece. Mark if you ever read this’ please don’t take offense to the comment. Blink 4 Life!! Peace...

Most exciting for fans, though, is word that a new single, “EDGING,” is coming on Friday (Oct. 14), commemorating the trio’s first time in the studio in 10 years. In keeping with the barely-contained enthusiasm for the get-together, the eternally youthful Take Off Your Pants and Jacket stars released a promotional video for the tour in which a series of fans vow that they would “do anything to make them come”… to their hometown, is what they mean. Naturally.

The video features a preview of the hard-edged, “Edging,” with the lyrics, “I ain’t that cool/ A little f—ed in the head/ They’ll be hangin’ me quick when I’m back from the dead/ Get the rope, get the rope, get the rope, get the rope.” Tickets for the tour — which a press release teased includes performances at 2023 Lollapaloozas in Chile, Argentina and Brasil alongside Billie Eilish, Drake and Lil Nas X and the 2023 edition of the We Were Young fest in Las Vegas alongside Green Day and others — are slated to go on sale on Monday (Oct. 17) at 10 a.m. local time here .

The get-back comes after Hoppus, 50, revealed that he is writing a memoir that will cover his recent battle with cancer, as well as Blink’s road to success. Back in August, Hoppus said he was “ open to whatever ” for Blink after reuniting with DeLonge before his “brutal” chemotherapy sessions. “It’s actually better than it used to be. There was no agenda. There were no lingering grudges. It felt very back to what it should be: three friends sitting in a room,” he said.

The world tour will feature support from the Wallows in South America, Turnstile in North America, The Story So Far in Europe and Rise Against in Australia/New Zealand.

Blink-182 Reunite With Tom DeLonge, Announce 2023 Tour

By Evan Minsker and Jazz Monroe

Blink182s Mark Hoppus Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker

Blink-182 have reunited with founding member Tom DeLonge and announced a 2023 tour. The classic lineup of DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker will also release a comeback single called “Edging” on Friday (October 14). Check out the tour dates, which include North American shows with support from Turnstile, at the bottom of the page, and watch the characteristically juvenile announcement video below. The band will release a new album next year, according to a press release.

DeLonge started Blink-182 with Mark Hoppus in 1992. Their debut album, Cheshire Cat , arrived in 1995, followed by the “Dammit”-featuring album Dude Ranch in 1997. After original drummer Scott Raynor was dismissed from the band in 1998, Travis Barker came aboard in time to record the band’s multi-platinum 1999 album Enema of the State , which featured the hit singles “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things.”

Their first No. 1 album in the United States followed, 2001’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket . In 2002, DeLonge and Barker released a side project as a duo, a self-titled Box Car Racer album. The following year, Blink-182 released a self-titled album before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2005.

DeLonge focused on his band Angels & Airwaves, which released their debut album in 2006, while Barker became a prolific session drummer, particularly in the worlds of pop-punk and hip-hop. In 2008, Barker was involved in a plane crash that led to the trio returning for a reunion tour in 2009. In 2011, Blink-182 released Neighborhoods and they continued to tour in the early 2010s before DeLonge departed the band in early 2015.

Hoppus and Barker discussed DeLonge’s departure in an interview with Rolling Stone at the time, saying that after the band signed a recording contract and booked a studio for album sessions, Hoppus and Barker received emails from DeLonge’s management announcing that he was leaving the band. “To be honest, I wasn’t that surprised because his attitude leading up to that had been not excited and not interested,” Hoppus said. Barker called DeLonge “disrespectful and ungrateful” to have his manager break the news and not call them himself. “Why Blink even got back together in the first place is questionable,” Barker said.

Following DeLonge’s departure, Blink-182 hired Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba. They released two albums under that lineup: 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine . The band toured consistently in the late 2010s, too, and was booked to perform at the famously doomed Fyre Festival.

During his time away from the group, DeLonge has continued recording with Angels & Airwaves. He has notably committed much of his time to the study of aliens, UFOs, and conspiracy theories. He founded the company To the Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2015 and was the executive producer behind the History Channel series Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation . In 2020, the Pentagon declassified UFO videos that DeLonge’s company had previously shared.

In the recent past, Barker has become something of an omnipresent cultural and tabloid figure. He has collaborated with Post Malone, Machine Gun Kelly, Willow, and XXXTentacion, to name a few. In May 2022, he married Kourtney Kardashian.

Since 2019, Hoppus has been hosting the Apple Music 1 radio show After School Radio . In 2021, he revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer; later that year, he said he was cancer free . In an August 2022 interview with People , Hoppus revealed that DeLonge and Barker visited him before he started chemotherapy. “It was the first time that all three of us were in the same room in, like, five years,” Hoppus said. “It’s actually better than it used to be. There was no agenda. There were no lingering grudges. It felt very back to what it should be: three friends sitting in a room.… Everybody’s in a really great place right now.”

Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker Reunite for World Tour and New Music

The band's classic lineup returns after nearly 10 years

Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker Reunite for World Tour and New Music

Blink-182 are getting back together for the kids: Tom DeLonge , Mark Hoppus , and Travis Barker are reuniting for their first tour together in nearly 10 years. What’s more, they’ve announced the release of a new single called “Edging,” set for release on October 14th.

The massive tour includes stops in North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand starting March 2023 through February 2024. For the North American leg, Blink-182 will be joined by Turnstile . The trio is also set to headline Lollapalooza’s Latin American festivals in Argentina, Chile, and Brasil, as well as the return of When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas. Check out the full schedule below.

Tickets go on sale starting Monday, October 17th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster . For North American audiences, a Live Nation pre-sale is set for Thursday, October 13th at 10:00 a.m. local time (use access code PUMPKIN ).

DeLonge departed Blink-182 in 2015, making way for Matt Skiba , who performed on the band’s two most recent albums: 2016’s  California and 2019’s  NINE . In the meantime, DeLonge has tended to his other band Angels & Airwaves  and  tried to prove aliens do exist ; Barker has recorded with everyone from Avril Lavigne to Young Thug and tied the knot Kourtney Kardashian; Hoppus spent the better part of 2021 successfully battling lymphoma.

Oddly enough, the silver lining to Hoppus’ diagnosis is that it apparently prompted him and DeLonge to re-connect . Hoppus reflected on his cancer treatment in a recent interview with  People , saying that the trio had spent some time together before his chemo began, and they were in “a really great place right now.” The bassist added: “I keep writing music, and I’m open to whatever the next phase of Blink is… I’m hopeful for the future. I’m just damn glad to be here.”

Blink-182 Reunites with Tom DeLonge for Massive 2023 World Tour, New Album and 'Edging' Single

Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge are back together for the first time since 2015 with new music and an extensive string of concerts across Latin America, North America, Europe and Oceania

Get ready to Take Off Your Pants and Jacket , because Blink-182 is back in its most iconic form.

Blink-182 surprised fans on Tuesday with the announcement of its first new music and world tour featuring members Mark Hoppus , Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge since 2015 with a cheeky video teasing "Edging," the alternative rock band's new single, out Friday.

Posted to social media, the announcement video features Blink-182's signature suggestive humor as a series of everyday individuals seemingly anticipate the band's return. "If I'm being totally honest, I can't stop thinking about them coming," says a woman lounging in a beach chair, before a green-haired, heavily pierced and tattooed punker asks later in the clip, "Could you imagine all three of them coming?"

At the end of the video, text revealing the upcoming tour, album and single appear onscreen while what sounds like a clip from "Edging" plays in the background. "I ain't that cool / A little f---ed in the head / They'll be hanging me quick / When I'm back from the dead / Get the rope," sings the band.

"Edging" marks Blink-182's first new single featuring the complete trio since DeLonge, 46, exited the band in 2015 to focus on his other project, rock band Angels & Airwaves, formed in 2005. Earlier this year, he fueled rumors of his triumphant return, posting a black-and-white throwback photo of the band, which he helped form in 1992, tagging the group in the caption.

However, Hoppus later took to his Discord channel to set the record straight regarding DeLonge's rumored return to the group. "There is no news to share. There is no announcement," wrote the bassist and vocalist before noting a celebratory occasion for the band, which formed in August 1992. "Today is 30 years of blink-182!"

At its 1992 inception, Blink-182 consisted of co-founders DeLonge, Hoppus, 50, and Scott Raynor, who exited the group in 1998. Barker, 46, entered during the making of Blink-182's breakout 1999 Enema of the State album, and they released music and performed as a trio through DeLonge's 2005 exit. Since then, Hoppus and Barker have created music and toured with Matt Skiba, who's seemingly now left the band.

Kicking off on March 11, 2023, at the Imperial GNP festival in Tijuana, Mexico, and continuing its Latin American leg through early April, the reunion tour will go on for nearly a year, featuring North American shows from May through July, European shows from September through October, and a string of dates in Australia and New Zealand in February 2024.

The band's opening acts include Wallows in Latin America, Turnstile in North America, The Story So Far in Europe and Rise Against in Australia and New Zealand.

Earlier this year, Hoppus told PEOPLE that Barker and DeLonge paid him a hospital visit following his stage 4 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma diagnosis in April 2021. "It was the first time that all three of us were in the same room in like five years," said the rocker, who's now cancer-free. "It's actually better than it used to be. There was no agenda. There were no lingering grudges. It felt very back to what it should be: three friends sitting in a room."

Blink-182 reunites with Tom DeLonge for a world tour. Is pop-punk back?

blink 182 tour world

Blink-182, the rock trio that rose to fame in the late 1990s by fusing pop and punk music for the mainstream, is getting back together for the first time in years and going on a world tour.

The group announced the tour and an upcoming album on Tuesday, ahead of the scheduled release of its new single, “ Edging ,” on streaming platforms this Friday. Tom DeLonge, one of Blink-182’s founding members, will rejoin Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker for the first time in seven years, after quitting the band for a second time in 2015 .

Blink-182, whose lyrics were rife with humor and teenage angst, sold more than 50 million albums with hits such as “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things.” Its new tour — which runs from March 2023 through February 2024 — is yet another sign that rock and pop-punk is slowly returning to the mainstream.

For years, genres like electronic dance music, hip-hop and bedroom pop have hogged music charts. But artists such as Avril Lavigne, Machine Gun Kelly, Olivia Rodrigo, Willow Smith and Billie Eilish have all released songs in the past two years that venture into punk or rock.

“It makes perfect sense … that rock music is having a resurgence. And when you have a resurgence, there’s always the legends who were there and influenced it coming back around,” said Michael Kaminsky, founder and president of the artist management group KMGMT .

Blink-182 last released an album in 2019, but its members have remained in the public eye. Barker, the drummer, married Kourtney Kardashian earlier this year after courting her in front of cameras for the first season of the famous family’s Hulu show. He has also collaborated with younger stars such as Willow Smith and Machine Gun Kelly.

He “has always remained cool and hip, and does a lot of recording with a lot of up-and-coming groups,” said Bobby Borg, a musician and author. “I think that’s what kind of makes them able to do resurgence tours — they’re still respected and looked at as relevant.”

Hoppus, the band’s bassist and singer, also made headlines after he announced last year that he had been receiving treatment for cancer. DeLonge, a guitarist and singer, is well known for his theories on UFOs and aliens , publishing videos that were later declassified and released by the Pentagon.

Tom DeLonge defined pop-punk with Blink-182. He left stardom behind to study aliens.

Among the other signs of a pop-punk comeback is Las Vegas music festival When We Were Young, which is known for its 2000s emo lineup. Next year, performers will include headliners Blink-182 and Green Day, along with My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte, the Offspring, Rise Against, Yellowcard, Sum 41 and Simple Plan.

“Blink-182 influenced a whole generation of music that came after them and set that foundation for punk rock,” said Sophie Reeves, an executive producer at creative studio Production Club . “I think there’s definitely a hope that this music will make a stronger comeback.”

“Plaid skirts, combat boots, ripped jeans, leather — you’re seeing that again, and I just chuckle,” Borg said.

Blink-182 reunite with Tom DeLonge for new album, world tour: 'We're coming'

Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker will reunite with founding member Tom DeLonge for 70 tour dates between 2023 and 2024, after releasing their new single "Edging."

blink 182 tour world

Blink-182 really wants you to know that they're about to come... back together for a new album and world tour.

On Tuesday, the legendary rock band released a hilarious video announcing a world tour and new album featuring their original lineup, with fans comically expressing their desire for the band "to come" in various ways.

Tom DeLonge , who's been studying aliens, writing novels , and recording music with his own band, Angels and Airwaves, since quitting Blink in 2015, appears at the end of the clip with founding member Mark Hoppus and longtime drummer Travis Barker . Longtime fans are no doubt giddy.

What this means for Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba, who stepped in for DeLonge following his departure and recorded multiple LPs with the band, is unclear. Over the summer, he said he was unsure of his current status with the group.

Blink's new era kicks off Friday with the release of the upcoming album's lead single, "Edging."

The album's accompanying tour is slated for 70 dates between March 2023 and February 2024.

Blink-182's new album marks their first full-length release since 2019's Nine , which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 upon its debut. The album arrived 24 years after their freshman album, Cheshire Cat , dropped in 1995. The band went on to become one of the most popular rock acts of the era, ultimately notching two albums at the top of the United States charts.

Recently, Barker has collaborated on a score of other artists' songs — including Avril Lavigne, Willow, and Machine Gun Kelly — while DeLonge previously announced his intentions to direct a sci-fi movie . Hoppus was diagnosed with stage IV diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in the summer of 2021, but confirmed that he was cancer-free in September of that year.

Check out the full list of Blink-182's new world tour dates on the band's website .

"It takes a little piece of my life every time I fly. The amount of stress and anxiety it causes is just unbearable.

"It brings up all this old trauma, and sometimes I’m like, ‘Is this worth it?’ But I don’t like anything having a hold on me, either — I don’t like being afraid, and I don’t like having things from my past control my future.”

Blink-182 Can’t Stop Touring: Band Details Summer 2024 Shows

By Jon Blistein

Jon Blistein

Blink-182 will keep the big reunion party going into next year, announcing another massive North American tour for summer 2024.

The run will kick off June 20 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, with dates scheduled through Aug. 15 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. Blink-182 will primarily play arenas during the run, though there will be a few special stadium gigs in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Toronto, and the band’s hometown of San Diego. Pierce the Veil will provide support throughout the tour, while Alexisonfire will join the bill just for the final gig in Toronto.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. local time. Full info is available on Blink-182’s website .

Along with the reunion tour, Blink-182 released a new album, One More Time , last Friday, Oct. 20. The LP marks the first from Hoppus, DeLonge, and Barker since 2011’s Neighborhoods . After DeLonge left the group in 2015, he was replaced by Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba, who appeared on two albums, 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine .

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe , Hoppus and DeLonge opened up about their acrimonious 2015 splits with both admitting they weren’t sure they’d ever play together again. That changed after Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in 2021 — a traumatic but clarifying event not unlike the 2008 plane crash that nearly killed Barker.

  • Copied to Clipboard

blink 182 tour world

blink-182 are hosting the Rock Show of 2024 with their upcoming One More Time Tour across North America this summer. The reunited core lineup of Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker kicked off their comeback with two surprise sets at Coachella in April 2023, which led to their highest grossing North American tour ever , a headlining stint at Las Vegas’ When We Were Young festival and their chart-topping ninth album, One More Time…

After spending much of 2023 on the road during World Tour 2023/2024, the band is hitting North America again for the 2024 One More Time Tour starting in June. They will resume World Tour 2023/2024 and go international again after the One More Time Tour concludes in August.

Below, take a look at a typical blink-182 tour setlist and find out everything you need to know about the trio’s concerts.

blink-182 Concert Setlist Info

The current blink-182 setlist spares no expense when it comes to the band’s nostalgia-rich catalog, but the Mark, Tom and Travis Show has always come with its fair share of surprises, gags and stage banter. During their ongoing World Tour 2023/2024, blink-182 have consistently featured their biggest hits, including “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things,” while incorporating new material from their latest album, One More Time… , which arrived in October 2023.

In February, blink-182 launched the Australian leg of their World Tour 2023/2024 and introduced several additions to the setlist from their new album, including a full performance of “ANTHEM PART 3,” “TURPENTINE” and the Travis Barker-led “F–K FACE.” The band have also experimented with a mash-up of their 1999 hit “Dammit” throughout the tour, playing teases to TLC’s “No Scrubs,” Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” and Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” Other deep-cut performances include “Wendy Clear” and “Don’t Leave Me” from 2001’s five-time platinum-selling album Enema of the State .

Below, you can find an average blink-182 concert setlist from the 2024 Australian leg of their World Tour 2023/2024 — and once the One More Time Tour begins in June, check back to see updated setlist information.

Blink-182 add more shows to 2024 Australian tour

The band, who have reunited with founding member Tom DeLonge, will tour Australia and New Zealand in February 2024

Blink-182 2022 press image

Blink-182 have added more shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to the band’s forthcoming Australian tour in February 2024.

The Australian and New Zealand run will take place as part of the band’s upcoming world tour, following the news that founding member Tom DeLonge has rejoined the band after a seven-year absence.

The band, who will be joined by special guests Rise Against for the run, will now play extra shows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on February 14, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on February 17 and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on February 20.

The new dates are in addition to already-announced shows in all three cities, plus concerts in Perth, Adelaide, Auckland and Christchurch. Tickets for all shows will go on sale this Thursday (October 20) at 1pm local time, with a pre-sale kicking off tomorrow.

Blink-182 announced last week that DeLonge had rejoined the band following his departure in 2015, alongside news of a world tour and that a new album was on the way. On Friday (October 14), they shared new single ‘Edging’ , the first to feature DeLonge in a decade. Over the weekend, DeLonge elaborated on the forthcoming album , promising it contains “some of the most progressive, and elevated music [we’ve] ever had”.

During DeLonge’s absence, his role was filled by Matt Skiba. The Alkaline Trio frontman recorded two albums with the band – 2016’s ‘California’ and 2019’s ‘Nine’ – playing guitar and sharing lead vocal duties with Mark Hoppus.

Last week, DeLonge shared a message he sent to Skiba , thanking him for his work with the band. “To be honest, the band would not even be here today if it were not for your ability to jump in and save the day,” DeLonge wrote. “From my heart to yours, thank you for being a member of our band.”

Recommended

Skiba has since responded with an Instagram post , in which he congratulated DeLonge and the band for their reunion. “I am truly grateful for my time with Blink and I am truly happy you guys are a band and a family again,” he wrote.

It looks like No Doubt’s electrifying sets at the Coachella festival may have been an advertisement for a Gwen Stefani solo tour, as the South Star Festival in Huntsville, Alabama announced Tuesday that she and Blink-182 will be its two headliners. The festival takes place in the city’s John Hunt Park on September 28-29.

The ‘90s-flavored, 20-artist event also features Beck, Shinedown, Jane’s Addiction, Sublime, Goo Goo Dolls, Jimmy Eat World, TLC, Ludacris, Juvenile and the 400 Degreez Band, Big Boi, Gin Blossoms, Pete Yorn, Candlebox, Vanessa Carlton, Winona Fighter, Bully, Dexter & Moonrocks, and Billy Allen + The Pollies.

In addition to live music, the event will feature a sports bar on site that will provide a way for festival goers to catch the biggest football games without leaving the park — the region “takes football season seriously and so does South Star Festival,” the announcement states.

The presale takes place Thursday, April 25 from 10am ET to 10:40am ET and prices will increase on Thursday, April 25 at 10:40am ET when the public On-Sale begins. Tickets for General Admission, GA+, VIP and South Star’s Platinum package will be available on Thursday, April 25 at 10:40 am ET at SouthStarFestival.com.
