Toronto Boat Cruise on the Kajama

Step aboard and experience the finest restored Tall Ship on the Great Lakes.  Launched as the Wilfred in Rendsburg, Germany in 1930, the KAJAMA traded under sail for nearly 70 years. She was a familiar ship in ports from Northwest Spain, through western Europe, and as far north as Norway and Russia. In 1999, KAJAMA was delivered transatlantic to Toronto’s Waterfront and restored to her original profile. Sail aboard the Tall Ship that was seen on the Amazing Race.  We are proud to offer this 165-foot, three-masted gaff-rigged schooner, which can comfortably accommodate parties of up to 225 people.

How can you get to the Toronto Islands by ferry service?

Ferries leave for the island from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal in downtown Toronto every 30 minutes. It costs $10 per person for a ferry ticket. Or you can go from Hanlan’s Point. Or you can go directly on Ward’s Island ferry to the smaller island.

What if you miss the ferry?

It’s a Toronto Island theme park for children or date nights. We went every summer to play on the splash pads, visit the petting zoo, eat junk food, and ride the rides. Afterwards we’d crash on the many open green spaces while our parents read their books.

100% YES!  — Canada has “free” healthcare but it’s only for citizens! Foreigners visiting need travel insurance in case anything happens on their visit. I recommend World Nomads – starting at just $5 a day!

Yes  — In all major cities in Canada, you can drink the tap water. There are very few, rural areas that you can’t. However, you should never drink river or lake water anywhere in the country! I recommend a Brita Water Bottle for long hikes and backcountry camping to stay safe and hydrated.
