Easy to book , great customer service and support throught the tour. Travel Partners in South Africa, Amazing Africa had good guides/drivers.Overall, an enjoyable and comfortable trip. Good value for your money. Exoticca should look into revising their tour descriptions e.g swim with the penguins at Boulders was never an option so donot pack your swimmers & slippers, only adds bulk to your baggage.

Skip this poor planning

Got to hotel at 6 am we slept on lobby chairs they would not give us a cup of coffee because we didn’t, have a room number(holiday inn) room not ready till 3 pm picture of cable car ride not included in your tour ( had to figure out metro to be able to have that experience ..week included 2 holidays everything closed …too much free time ..hotel in business district nothing but coffee shops and pastries :::would not recommend

What an experience !!!

A once in a lifetime trip to Vietnam , Cambodia and Thailand made possible by Exoticca. Very well organised and super guides in all destinations.We travelled by air/coach and boat during our stay. We stayed in some wonderful hotels with lovely pools (deluxe level trip) The included tours were good and we did some of our own too. The people were so helpful and accommodating. Highlights were Hanoi/ Angkor Wat and the quiet bliss of Cape Panwa in Phuket were we could rest after such an epic trip.

Exoticca exceeded our expectations..again!

This was our second trip with Exoticca and again they exceeded our expectations! We ended up having our own private guide/driver. He was a local who was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Our hotels were good and in good locations for the most part. Some of our hotels were excellent. Ireland is a magical place...visiting it on a small tour allowed us to see and experience a great deal in a short expanse of time.

Everything went well

Everything went well. However, I was not pleased that the international flight home did not have my wife and I seated together. That was upsetting. You could do a better job of accommodating couples on their seating. Our trip to Switzerland last fall was more relaxing to have an exotic guide with the group full time. Maybe that isn’t possible with the Peru trip?

Exoticca Greece Trip

Never having used a travel company like this before I was a bit apprehensive about it. However, after everything was said and done, this was the best vacation I have had. Exoticca was there every step of the way all the way from answering any questions I had prior to the trip to meeting us at the airport upon arrival to picking us up on time for our transfers and excursions. The tour guides were knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a great time. We upgraded to the Superior package for our hotels and were very pleased with our rooms. Again, this vacation was one of the best we have had and I will definitely be using Exoticca again.

Our first trip to Portugal

Absolutely excellent tour of Jordan

Absolutely excellent tour of Jordan, with a superb, knowledgeable guide "Jafar". Jafar has an archaeology background, so was particularly knowledgeable about Jordan's history and culture - and he generously shared his knowledge in a humorous and thoughtful manner. He (and the tour) was very well organized from start to finish; accommodations ("Charm" category) were very good, and transportation (tour buses, meet-up to & from Queen Alia Airport) was well-organized. Petra blew our socks off! Everything we had hoped, and more! Plus, we enjoyed the people on our tour and 'bonded' very well. Highly recommended!

South Africa - Victoria Falls

The South Africa portion of this tour was good. The local company was very organized. They sent travel info including contact numbers to us in advance. The Victoria Falls 0 Zimbabwe portion was not that organize. We did not receive the info until arriving at Victoria Falls, and the tour guide did not provide practical advice to us.

Would recommend, if you don't mind being on your own

We booked an Italy trip with Exottica Travel. My main gripe would be that after you book, any questions, issues, or problems go through a call center. If they can't answer the simply questions, then it gets emailed to a "specialist" to handle. But usually it took a week for an email back from a specialist. Sometimes these things were time sensitive, but that didn't matter. But all in all, the trip was wonderful, good price, & the tour company assigned to us took good care of us. I would recommend this company to folks that like to do their own research on their trip and are comfortable with being basically independent in another country.

Great itinerary and service

We were impressed with the service and support of both customer service before our tour and our guides during the tour. Any question we had or help we needed was handled quickly and graciously. The itinerary was diverse with time in cities, the Amazon, and the Galapagos and we learned a lot about the country had hiking and wildlife adventures and relaxed all in the same vacation. The accommodations were as expected and staff was great at all our hotels. The reason is this not a five star rating is that the description of activities were all defined as moderate but some were beyond moderate to us and we are hikers. Also, the walking tour in Quayaquil was changed from the day we arrived to the night before we left which was much less helpful after a full day on our own in the city.

Our 9-day Switzerland guided tour was…

Our 9-day Switzerland guided tour was awesome! Everything was crazy organized, full of adventures. We hit up Zürich, Werdenberg, Vaduz, Lugano, Ticino, Bellinzona, Zermatt, Montreux, Lausanne, Bern, Interlaken, and Lucerne. The views, mountains , churches, castles, and food were all mind-blowing. Definitely gotta try a guided tour like this, especially in Switzerland!

A really well organised tour

The guides mehmet and the driver were fantastic - we saw so many amazing sites - there was a lot of travel time which was tiring but was worth it - Turkey has so much history

We have duplicate tickets and can not check-in. We have to leave to the airport in ONE HOUR. We have been contacted with Exoticca customer agents for over 6 hours about tickets and still can not solve the problem. What should I do????????? Airlines don't let us check-in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic itinerary with a well…

Fantastic itinerary with a well balanced variety of destinations from world famous cities to wonders of the natural world. Really well organised. We were met in every destination and transported to the hotels. Hotels were in really good locations and more than did the job. The guided trips and excusions were of high quality and the Exoticca app took so much of the strain. This was our second trip with Exoticca. We will book again.

Loved Morocco

I was definitely impressed with Exoticca on my recent tour to Morocco. The hotels were centrally located, the tour was jam packed with sights to see; and it was very well organized. Our guide, Filali Abdelali, was the best. He went out of his way to insure that our trip met everyone's expectations including the arrangement of extra activities such as the night market in Marrakech (by horse and carriage) and the sampling of Moroccan pastries. His insight into the Moroccan culture was particularly appreciated as he provided thorough explanations whether we visited a mosque or a medina. Our driver, Jallal, was also top notch. His attention to safety (especially on the winding highway through the Atlas Mountains) and friendly attitude were second to none. I would definitely book another tour with Exoticca.

Day 2: Ponta Delgada - Vila Franca do Campo - Furnas Valley - Ponta Delgada

After breakfast at the hotel, get ready for an action-packed day of sightseeing in the Furnas Valley, known for its volcanic activity and hot springs. You'll set off to Vila Franca do Campo, once the capital of the Azores, where you can sample delicious traditional pastries known locally as Queijadas da Vila . Next, descend into the Furnas Valley, starting with a visit to Terra Nostra Park, a shining example of the romantic 18th-century gardens of the Azores. Admire its rich and fragrant vegetation, with the option of enjoying a relaxing dip in a thermal pool. Later you'll head to the Caldeiras, situated next to the famous Furnas Lake, to watch a cooking demonstration using the natural heat of the caldeiras. Tuck into traditional cozido for lunch at a local restaurant, before exploring more of the sights of the Furnas Valley and learning about everyday life in this volcanic environment. On the way back to Ponta Delgada, you'll stop at the Pico do Ferro viewpoint for unforgettable views of this unique landscape.

Day 3: Ponta Delgada - Lagoa do Fogo - Ribeira - Ponta Delgada

After breakfast at the hotel, you'll journey to Lagoa do Fogo, a fascinating volcanic crater lake in the centre of the island. Travel down the south coast in the direction of Pico da Barrosa, from where you can admire views of the lake. Descend to Caldeira Velha next, where you'll have the opportunity to bathe in hot water springs, before heading to historic Ribeira for a walking tour of its old town. Admire the quaint architecture and stop to sample traditional local liqueurs, before returning to Ponta Delgada via the picturesque north coast route. The rest of the day will be free for you to spend at your leisure.

Day 4: Ponta Delgada - Sete Cidades - Ponta Delgada

After breakfast at the hotel, set off to discover the epic natural wonder of Sete Cidades, a three-mile-long volcanic crater lake that's home to all kinds of fascinating sights. Begin with a pineapple plantation tour to observe the growing phases of this tropical fruit and taste locally-made liqueur. Continue on to the stunning Pico Carvão, which enjoys brilliant views across the central part of São Miguel Island. At the Vista do Rei viewpoint you'll soak up incredible landscapes across Sete Cidades, before descending into the crater to admire the Lagoa de Santiago. Return to Ponta Delgada and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Days 5-7: Ponta Delgada

The next few days in Ponta Delgada will be yours to spend at leisure, giving you plenty of time to uncover more sights and sounds of São Miguel Island. Start by ticking off city icons like the 16th-century Church of St. Sebastian and the Convent and Chapel of Our Lady of Hope, and perhaps top it up with a spot of shopping and delicious local cuisine.

Had a brilliant experience, I even had to change my trip dates due to unexpected health issues and the staff could not have been nicer about it. 13 Days (nearly) Sri Lanka ...amp... Maldives

Having travelled with Exoticca (first 2 weeks of February 2023) and now having spent 2 fruitless weeks pursuing a formal complaint, I strongly advise avoiding this company at all costs. Based on my experience, your documentation / itinerary will be misleading, subject to late change and the quality of your accommodation will be vastly below expectations and the price paid. Thereafter, Exoticca will continually fob you off with references to small print and simply tell you to take matters up with the local agent, from whom they will have procured the holiday (and clearly with who you will have no contract). We paid £9,316 for an Asian holiday (Sri Lanka and the Maldives) with 11 nights ‘in Destination’ having paid the additional cost of (their words) ‘Luxury Category Hotels’. The warning bells should have sounded when my itinerary described it as ‘13 nights in Destination’. I now have written confirmation from Exoticca that they class a night on a plane as being a night ‘in Destination’. The more fundamental problems started the week before I left for the holiday, when I noticed that all four of the Sri Lankan hotels had been changed from my previous itinerary without any notification to myself whatsoever. It was only by chance that in downloading the Exoticca App shortly before leaving, that I even noticed the change. I duly complained by phone, prior to leaving, and was told in no uncertain terms their ability to change the hotels is in the small print in the Terms and Conditions so there’s nothing I or they could or would do about it. Failing to even actively notify a customer that 80% of their hotels have changed is, to my mind, simply unacceptable. Having previously taken holidays throughout South East Asia, circa £9.5K is an expensive holiday and we would have expected that the three 5-Star hotels and two 4-Star hotels were of the highest quality. In short, the Sri Lankan hotels were simply of an unacceptable standard for a holiday of this value. Problems included: air conditioning not working... cockroaches in the sink... very tired, old fashioned rooms... mouldy curtains... multiple broken items (sink, shower, shower curtain, toilet, safe, phone)... and appalling / inedible buffet food (no ala carte food at any of the hotels). Particular lowlights were the Tourmaline hotel in Kandy, where were the only guests staying in the entire hotel for 2 nights and we were offered an in hotel meal choice of either fish and chips or pasta and tomato sauce, or alternatively they would take us to another hotel for a buffet. At The Palms in Beruwala (comfortably the worst of the worst), we endured a karaoke party in the adjacent room until 04.30 in the morning despite numerous requests to reception to intervene, which they failed to do. Having now reviewed the cost for 2 people staying at each of the Sri Lankan hotels (Arie Lagoon, Tropical Life, Tourmaline ... The Palms) the position is, as can be seen on multiple hotel booking sites, that 7 of our 11 ‘in Destination’ nights cost a total of £395 out of a holiday costing just under £9.5K. This is simply a complete rip-off and wholly disproportionate to the type of holiday accommodation we should have expected for the money paid. Our experience of dealing with Exoticca throughout the events described above was terrible. Effectively it was left with me and the local agent to try and make the best of a bad job. On a cost for cost basis, this is the worst holiday experience I have ever had. Having now pursued a formal compliant for circa 3 weeks, Exoticca have now confirmed to me in writing, that what they describe as a 4... or 5... ‘category’ hotel on my itinerary, has nothing whatsoever to do with its official rating, it is the TripAdvisor score. No where on any of my holiday documentation is this stated and the information presented is patently misleading. Clearly, a TripAdvisor score is directly influenced by the cost paid. I might have ranked some of my hotels slightly higher if paying £50 per night for 2 people. I wasn’t. To date, they offered me a £120 credit off my next Exoticca booking, eventually increased to £300. No thanks – AVOID!
