UN VOYAGE À TRAVERS L'ART ET L'IMAGINATION
"The Art of the Brick" est bien plus qu'une simple exposition, c'est une invitation à redécouvrir l'enfance et à s'émerveiller devant la créativité sans limites que permettent les briques LEGO®.

The Art of the Brick
The art of the brick, the world’s largest display of lego® art, makes chicago debut at museum of science and industry.
CHICAGO (Feb.10, 2022) - The Art of the Brick , a captivating exhibition, featuring over 100 incredible works of art made from millions of LEGO® bricks, is set to make its Chicago debut at the Museum of Science and Industry on February 10, 2022. Tickets are currently available for this critically acclaimed collection of creative and inspiring pieces by renowned contemporary artist Nathan Sawaya.
" The Art of the Brick reimagines famous artistic masterpieces into LEGO form," said Chevy Humphrey, President and CEO, Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago. "Visitors of all ages will witness art in a whole new way, while celebrating an imaginative and creative medium."
Sawaya's original pieces and reimagined world-famous art masterpieces on display in the exhibition include:
- Fan favorite "Yellow", a life-size sculpture of a man pulling his chest apart with thousands of yellow LEGO bricks flowing from the cavity.
- Van Gogh's Starry Night and Da Vinci's Mona Lisa .
- A multimedia collection of LEGO brick infused photography produced in tandem with award-winning photographer Dean West.
To celebrate the exhibition's Chicago debut, Nathan Sawaya has created several new pieces including a replica of Chicago Artist Hebru Brantley's "Flyboy."
" The Art of The Brick takes LEGO somewhere you wouldn't expect and shows you things you have never seen before," said artist Sawaya. "The goal with this collection of art is to demonstrate the potential of imagination and the power of creativity."

LEGO : The Art of the Brick, l'expo de retour à Montparnasse - nos photos

Museum of the Jews’ History (Dimano metro station) http://www.mievr.ru/page.html?id=25&lang=ENG
For the most part in our Museum the history of the part of Jewry that had fallen under in the power of the Russian crown after three partitions of Poland is represented. In everyday life culture, religious traditions, language, customs this group was genetically connected to Ashkenazi Jews – the European Jewry. This is the name of the Jews, migrated to Poland from Germany and North France in the Middle Ages. As Fate willed, they became the subjects of the Russian Empire, but they weren’t given any rights even the right to freedom of movement. The region of their traditional habitation that used to play an important economic role in the days of the Poland’s independence, became a distant province of Russia – the Pale of Settlement .
Today the exposition of the Museum may be conditionally divided on two parts: – traditional culture – prevalent forms of community existence, education, charity, particular features of everyday life, observance of religious directions, “sacred service” (decorating synagogues and religious items); to this part it should be needed to ascribe the collection representing traditions and culture of non Ashkenasi Jewish Communities to this part of the exposition; – historical processes – mutual relations between the Jews and the society and authorities, the Jewish contribution into economy, culture and science development, a Jewish experience of land utilization and an attempt of creation of Jewish Autonomy in the USSR.
13:00-13:30 Coffee break 14:00-16:30 Victory Park with Holocaust memorial + Holocaust Memorial Synagogue
The Holocaust Memorial Synagogue is a synagogue located on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow. It was built in 1998 to complement an Orthodox church and a mosque that are also part of the outdoor museum dedicated to Russia’s victory in World War II .
The building of the Temple of the Memory on Poklonnaya Gora, a flat hill in the West of Moscow, between the Setun River and another hill, was constructed and opened on September 1998 in Boris Yeltsin ‘s presence. The construction of the Temple of Memory was financed by the Russian Jewish Congress – a non-profit charitable fund and the largest secular organisation of Russian Jews. The Temple of memory architect was Moshe Zarhy (Zarhy Architects) from Israel. In the Holocaust Memorial Synagogue there is a hall with a balcony, the offices for the rabbi and a library. An exhibition about history of the Jewish people and the Holocaust was located in the building. The building is also used as a museum. The interior of the building was designed by Frank Meisler , too. Meisler created wall sculptures showing Jerusalem, the Twelve Tribes of Israel and the Five Books of Moses.

“Lego city” and new park complexes will appear in Moscow
Multifunctional modern entertainment complex “Lego city” will be built on the north-west of Moscow, on the airfield Tushino, within walking distance from the metro. Construction of the complex is previewed by the capital state program “The development of industry, recreation and tourism in 2012-2016 years.”
Also in the capital will appear the new memorial in the old Simonovo, associated with the history of the Kulikov battle, the extreme sports complex in New Peredelkino, the eco-park in the Lower Mnevniki and the Exhibition Centre in the art-park “Museon”, informs the news agency RIA Novosti.
It is also envisaged to develop the valley of river Kotlovka, Kraskovsky Riverlands, Maryino park and a park of historic landscape on Khodynka.
Significant changes are planned in the Moscow Zoo. There will be two parking and a new bridge connecting the old territory with the new one. The zoo will have one more entry – by Barrikadnaya Street, the construction of the pavilion “Greenhouse” will be finished.
In addition, within the program of expanding the boundaries of Moscow, the authorities have started to adjust the capital master plan of the city until 2025 – Media Post quote the deputy mayor of the capital on urban politics and the construction Marat Khusnullin.
Enumerating objects, which in the first place lacks in the capital, Khusnullin named primarily the parking places and stores within working distance. Also the deputy mayor drew attention to the lack of ice rinks in the city. 36 rinks in Moscow is very little, – said the deputy mayor.
