We’re pleased to announce that tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2023 (21st – 25th June 2023) will go on sale in early November.

TICKETS PLUS COACH TRAVEL ON SALE AT 6PM GMT, THURSDAY, 3RD NOVEMBER

GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS ON SALE AT 9AM GMT, SUNDAY, 6TH NOVEMBER

A £50 deposit (plus coach fare if booking a ticket + coach travel) is payable when booking in November, with the balance payable in the first week of April 2023. Tickets will be exclusively sold at glastonbury.seetickets.com .

REGISTRATION

As part of our ongoing efforts against ticket touting, anyone who would like to attend the Festival will need to have registered in advance of the ticket sale.

Registration remains free of charge and only takes a few minutes here .

Registration will close at 5pm GMT on Monday, 31st October, after which there will be no opportunity to submit/re-submit a registration until after the November ticket sales.

We strongly advise that you submit your registration at least a week before registration closes, to allow time to resubmit your photo if you need to, as without a valid registration number for each person for whom you wish to book a ticket, you will not be able to book tickets.

If you are already registered with the Festival, you do not need to re-register. However we would advise you to check your existing registration here and update your photo if it is no longer of a good likeness, at least 7 days in advance of registration closing.

Children aged 12 and under when the Festival takes place are admitted free of charge and do not need a ticket, and do not need to register.

Please note, registration does not guarantee you a ticket (and in recent years, demand for tickets has outstripped supply).

BE PREPARED

In order to make a booking you will need the registration number and registered postcode for each person you are booking a ticket for, as well as a valid debit (UK only) or credit card with sufficient funds to cover your full transaction, and all the security information for that card.

Please be careful to enter all of your details accurately, as any details which don’t match will cause your transaction attempt to fail.

GO GREEN! CATCH A COACH!

The first chance to buy tickets for the 2023 Festival will go to those booking a ticket + coach travel option, as part of the Festival’s continued commitment to green travel. These ticket + coach travel options will go on sale at 6pm GMT on Thursday, 3rd November, via glastonbury.seetickets.com .

You may book up to 6 coach tickets per transaction. When booking a ticket + coach travel option you will need to pay the deposit (£50) plus full coach fare, with the Festival ticket balance due in the first week of April 2023.

A full list of departure towns and prices can be found below.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN TICKETS GO ON SALE

Standard weekend tickets will go on sale at 9am GMT on Sunday, 6th November. Tickets will cost £335 + £5 booking fee. Your ticket fee includes:

– Entry to the Festival, with over 3,000 performances – Five nights camping (with no early entry fees) – Free programme – Free miniguide – Free mobile phone charging – Free on-site newspaper – Free mobile app – Free firewood – Kidzfield, where all entertainment, rides and activities are free of charge – Support for Oxfam, Greenpeace, WaterAid and hundreds of other worthy causes (£2m given

As in previous years, tickets will be sold exclusively at  glastonbury.seetickets.com . You may book up to 6 tickets per transaction by paying a deposit of £50 per person, with the balance due in the first week of April 2023.

A limited number of people will be given access to the booking site at any one time. Whilst you are waiting to access the booking site you will be held at this page until there is a space on the booking site for you to start the booking process. The page will automatically refresh to look for space on the booking page every 20 seconds.

If the amount of traffic on the website is particularly high, you may see a reduced version of the See Tickets booking site, with a minimal version of the holding page. This does not mean the site has crashed! (Quite the opposite in fact – this means the site is serving the maximum number of people at the same time.)

Once you reach the first page of the booking site, you will be asked to enter the registration number and registered postcode for the lead booker and up to 5 other individuals.

When you proceed, the details you have provided will be displayed on the next page.

Please check that these are the people you expect to be booking tickets for, as these cannot be changed once you proceed with your booking.

If you are booking a ticket + coach travel option, you will be asked to choose the departure town (and time for towns with multiple departures). It is only possible to book tickets from one departure town in a single transaction. If the option you have selected is not available, please choose a different town or day that is convenient for you. Travel on the coach you have selected is mandatory in order to receive your Festival ticket, so please only book on routes that are feasible for you.

Once all your information is correct, please proceed to the payment page.

Once you reach the payment page you will have 5 minutes to submit your payment information, so please take your time to enter this information accurately. The time remaining will be shown on the right hand side of your screen:

Please note, your registration numbers will be locked for up to 10 minutes if your details are entered incorrectly, an attempt to book is already held against your registration number, or your 5 minutes on the booking page ends. If the transaction fails and tickets are still available, your registration number will be released to give you the chance to try again.

If the page ‘hangs’ and you can’t get any further, try pressing back once and then continue your booking from that point. If that doesn’t help, close your browser and start again. Please don’t continue to refresh the page more than 10 minutes after entering your details as your access to the page will have expired. You will need to close the browser and start again to gain fresh access to the booking page.

BE REASONABLE AND CONSIDERATE

Every year, the amount of devices trying to connect to the Festival’s booking site increases. Whilst we understand that everyone wants to have the best possible chance of booking a ticket, running multiple devices simultaneously to attempt to access the website is a waste of valuable resources, and doesn’t reflect the ethos of the Festival. Please stick to one device and one tab, so that you can focus on entering your details without confusing your browser and help us make the ticket sale as quick and stress free as possible for all.

DON’T GIVE UP

Even if you aren’t successful in securing tickets in the ticket sales in November, you will have another chance to book in the Spring resales, when any returned tickets go back on sale.

DON’T BE FOOLED

The demand for tickets has been high in recent years, but please don’t be tempted or fooled by bogus sellers.

Tickets will be sold exclusively at  glastonbury.seetickets.com , do not attempt to book tickets from third parties.

ACCOMMODATION

Further information campervan/caravan tickets, tipis and pre-erected accommodation will be available on the Festival website later in the Autumn.

I thoroughly loved this walking tour through the sacred sites of Glastonbury and Tor was an excellent host! He even led us through guided visualizations at each of the sites that really added to the whole experience & made it quite special. Not your average tour. Highly recommended! I heard about Tor's Tours via many recommendations on FB threads when people were asking about how best to spend their time when visiting Glastonbury. A friend and I chose the 7 hour Glastonbury walking tour, with Chakra meditations at various stops. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the walk, the sites, the meditations, and all the history and stories that Tor shared with us. The tour ended with a walk up the Tor. I really wish we had started with the walk up that big hill, then the smaller hill, then easier as the day wore on. We were every sort of tired at the end of the tour, but felt completely exhilarated at the same time. Our visit was just two nights, so this tour allowed us to see all of the highlights in the most efficient way, leaving a full day to stroll around the town and do a bit of independent exploring. Truly wonderful. 💖 Read more Written April 25, 2024

Tor is a comforting and horizon-broadening presence. He made it feel as though we had traveled back centuries and were participants and more than visitors. He is a joy to be around and a fantastic guide, I was on what one might call a pilgrimage and Tor is the perfect facilitator to open up worlds of past and present. Glastonbury standard tickets go on sale today: Top tips to maximise your chances of getting to the festival

Below are some tips for giving yourself the best possible chance of grabbing tickets to the uk's biggest festival, including whether using multiple devices and tabs is a good idea..

By Jake Levison, News reporter

Sunday 19 November 2023 01:50, UK

The annual mad scramble for Glastonbury tickets is upon us.

Standard weekend tickets for Glastonbury will go on sale at 9am this morning, after the initial early November sale dates were pushed back due to some confusion over the registration process.

Coach tickets to the iconic event at Worthy Farm in Somerset, which will take place from 26 to 30 June next year, are already sold out after they were released on 16 November.

Here's everything you need to know before trying to get tickets

If you haven't registered yet, you're out of the running for now

Unfortunately if you did not register for buying tickets by the deadline of 5pm on Monday 13 November, you won't be able to apply for standard tickets today.

However, you will still be in with a chance if you register before April 2024, when Glastonbury will have a number of resale dates, selling tickets that have been cancelled (dates yet to be confirmed).

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets can be bought exclusively at glastonbury.seetickets.com once they become available.

No other site or agency will be allocated tickets, so if you see anyone else claiming to have Glastonbury tickets available for purchase, it's most likely a scam.

What types of tickets are available and when?

Tickets including coach travel went on sale at 6pm on 16 November - but they're all gone now.

General admission tickets go on sale at 9am on Sunday 19 November.

There will be another opportunity to get tickets during the resale dates in April 2024.

If you grabbed the ticket plus coach option, getting the coach that you selected is mandatory and you will only receive your ticket once you are on that coach.

It means that if you bought more than one ticket on 16 November, everyone that you bought for in your transaction needs to get the same coach to Glastonbury.

Children aged 12 and under when the festival takes place are admitted free of charge and do not need a ticket, nor do they need to register.

You will need to reserve additional coach seats for the children if you booked a ticket plus coach travel package, though.

Why does Glastonbury make people register in advance?

It's to avoid ticket touting, Glastonbury says.

All tickets are personalised with a photo of the ticket holder and cannot be transferred to another recipient.

This makes it far more difficult to resell them at a higher price, which is often a major problem seen at other festivals and concerts.

How many tickets can I buy?

You can buy up to six tickets at a time, but all of the people you're buying the tickets for need to be registered with Glastonbury.

You will need their registration numbers and postcodes as well as your own.

How does the booking process work?

Once tickets go up for sale, all potential buyers are sent to a holding page .

Glastonbury says users are held at the holding page until there is space on the booking page . The holding page refreshes every 20 seconds to look for a space on the booking page.

You may see a reduced, bare-looking version of the booking page once you gain entry.

The organisers say this is intentional in order to cope with high traffic and does not mean the site has crashed, so be sure not to refresh or leave the page.

Once you reach the first page of the booking site, you will need to enter the registration number and registered postcode for yourself and the other people you are attempting to book tickets for.

When you proceed, the details you have provided will be displayed on the next page.

Once you have double checked all of your information is correct, click 'confirm' to enter the payment page, where you will need to check/amend your billing address, confirm your payment information, accept the terms and conditions, and complete the check out within the allocated time.

Giving yourself the best chance

Those who are registered and raring to go should remember to get the basics right.

Here are the must-haves if you want to stand any chance of getting a ticket:

• Good internet connection . You won't stand a chance without solid broadband. • Timekeeping . Make sure you are on the tickets page at exactly 9am on 19 November - even if it means setting an unwelcome alarm on Sunday. • No distractions . There are time limits during the booking process. If you reach the stage where you have been assigned tickets, you will still need to check/amend your billing address, confirm your payment information, accept the terms and conditions, and complete the checkout within the allocated timeframe. • Be ready to approve your payment . There is a chance - especially if you are paying for multiple tickets - that you will have to pass additional security questions from your card issuer. Have a device on hand to ensure you are ready to do this swiftly. • Don't give up . Until you see the ominous 'SOLD OUT' display on the site, there is still a chance. Shortly before that point, there will be a message saying 'all available tickets have now been allocated,' which users often think means their chances are up. What it actually means is that orders are being processed for all the tickets that are available. But if somebody whose order is being processed doesn't take our previous advice and runs out of time, their loss could be your gain.

Does using multiple devices actually help?

You may have seen photos shared on social media of individuals sitting in front of multiple phones, laptops and iPads that are all on the tickets loading page.

Glastonbury's website advises that running multiple devices simultaneously is "a waste of valuable resources, and doesn't reflect the ethos of the festival".

"Please stick to one device and one tab," it adds, "so that you can focus on entering your details without confusing your browser and help us make the ticket sale as quick and stress free as possible for all."

In case your priorities aren't the festival's ethos or making the ticketing process easy for everyone, it is worth noting that you would need to be very confident in your broadband's capabilities to use multiple devices.

For your own sake, you may be better off using one device with concentrated connection rather than several using it in weaker doses.

What about multiple tabs on one device?

It was alluded to in the previous section, but Glastonbury definitively says using multiple tabs will not increase your chances of success.

In fact, it could do the opposite.

Glastonbury's website reads: "Attempting to book tickets online using multiple browser tabs can confuse the ticket sales process and cause your transaction to fail.

"We strongly advise that you use just one browser tab when trying to book tickets, in order to avoid possible problems with your transaction."

How much do tickets cost and do I pay up front?

Tickets for Glastonbury 2024 will cost £355, plus a £5 booking fee.

If you are purchasing general admission tickets, you will just have to pay a £75 deposit and £5 booking fee.

Keep in mind, this is the cost per ticket , so if you are buying six tickets, you will need to pay the deposit and booking fee for each one.

You will then need to pay the remaining cost of your ticket(s) in the first week of April 2024. That's £280 per ticket.

How many people will be trying to get tickets?

More than 2.5 million people tried to get their hands on the 135,000 tickets on offer last year, according to National Broadband.

The ticketing service which deals with Glastonbury, See Tickets, experienced technical problems last year during the sale window on 6 November, later apologising to people who had "issues trying to book".

They didn't specify whether this was due to the amount of website traffic.

Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis apologised afterwards to the "huge number" of people who missed out because "demand far outstripped supply".

We know from Ms Eavis that some 2.4 million people were registered for Glastonbury tickets at the end of 2019, too, so this level of demand is not an anomaly.

When will I receive my ticket?

General admission tickets will be sent out in late-May or June 2024 to those in the UK and the EU.

People who bought a ticket plus coach package will have to wait until they are on their coach to be handed their tickets.

If you live outside of the UK and EU and buy a ticket, it will be available for box office collection unless specified otherwise.

What if I get tickets but can't make it to Glastonbury?

Don't panic; that's what the resale window is for.

If you realise after buying tickets that you cannot attend, simply don't pay the remaining £280 that you owe per ticket before the deadline: 11.59pm on 7 April 2024.

Your deposit will automatically be refunded to you, minus a £25 administration charge.

There's an extra £15 coach cancellation fee on ticket and coach bookings.

Your ticket will then be resold to someone else during the next window.

You can also request a refund any time before Friday 3 May 2024 via See Tickets' Customer Service Page .

From 3 May onwards, tickets are non-refundable.

Do not attempt to sell tickets on yourself. As stated previously, all tickets are personalised and cannot be transferred to another recipient.

This is a limited version of the story so unfortunately this content is not available. Open the full version

What is included with a ticket?

Here is a list of everything Glastonbury says is included with a ticket:

• Entry to the festival, with over 3,000 performances across more than 100 stages • Five nights camping (with no early entry fees) • Free programme • Free mobile phone charging • Free on-site newspaper • Free mobile app • Free firewood • Kidzfield, where all entertainment, rides and activities are free of charge • Support for Oxfam, Greenpeace, WaterAid and "hundreds of other worthy causes" • Funds to improve the festival's infrastructure and environmental impact

Music fans devastated to miss out on Glastonbury 2024 line-up after ticket resale sells out

Glastonbury Pyramid Stage

Many people hoping to still be in with a chance of going to Glastonbury 2024 have been left sorely disappointed as the resale tickets sold out in just 22 minutes .

This morning, the musical festival offered people a final chance to go to this year’s event, which boasts a stellar line-up including Shania Twain , Coldplay , Cyndi Lauper , SZA , Avril Lavigne , Janelle Monáe and many more.

The first batch tickets, which have been sold exclusively through the ticketing company See Tickets, were released for the general admission sale on November 19 last year, which sold out in an hour.

Five months later, the resale has taken place – and it took just over 20 minutes for all of those to go too.

In a post shared on X at 9.22am – 22 minutes after the sale began at 9am – the official account for Glastonbury wrote: ‘The tickets in this morning’s resale have now all been sold. Our thanks to everyone who bought one, and sorry to those who missed out.’

The X account for See Tickets also added: ‘A limited amount of returned campervan tickets, Worthy View and Sticklinch accommodation for @Glastonbury 2024 will go on sale to ticket holders at 11am.’

While some people were able to get their hands on coveted tickets, others weren’t so fortunate, expressing their upset over their disappointment on social media.

One unsuccessful hopeful called Adam wrote: ‘4 attempts unsuccessful, love it.’

‘Oh well go again next year,’ added Robbo, while Lisa simply commented with a row of sobbing emojis.

‘Never want to go anyway,’ Simon quipped with crying emojis, as Brooke added: ‘Wanted to go so bad! Never had any luck. Only went as a kid with Mam and dad, every year! Fingers crossed get them one year!

‘To go with my old hippy dad and my kids would be a dream come true! New memories to cherish for years to come.’

While the tickets are all now well and truly sold out, some peope might be hoping that they could still go to Glastonbury by signing up for volunteering role.

So is that possible?

Can I sign up for Glastonbury volunteering?

There are various ways that people can volunteer at Glastonbury, including through Oxfam and via Festaff.

Oxfam has a team of 2,000 people volunteering at the festival, carrying out roles such as monitoring festivalgoers at the gates, helping at the Oxfam festival shop and campaigning with the public.

With Festaff, people volunteering as stewards with the organisation have to work three eight-hour shifts between the Wednesday and Sunday.

On the website for WaterAid , it says that applications for volunteering at Glastonbury are now closed.

Glastonbury festival

On Oxfam ’s website, it still gives the option for people to register their interest to be volunteers, which will also sign you up to the charity’s mailing list.

Meanwhile, Festaff states on its website: ‘All those who worked two camping events wiht us in 2023 will be invited to apply for Glastonbury 2024 – all have been sent an email.

‘We will not be accepting any other applications or further announcements until these are all dealt with. We hope to have these processed by the end of February.

‘You must select a sister event to partner your Glastonbury 2024 application – camping events only – Not BST or APE.’

More to follow.

I’m bringing the tour, the new album, the Sleeping Souls, and my excellent friends The Meffs, to a string of dates in rooms I know well and love around the UK this July, in between our festival shows.”

The announcement of his UK tour comes after he announced his attempt to break the record for the most shows played in 24 hours in honour of the Music Venue Trust .

In celebration of his upcoming 3,000th show and the release of his 10th album ‘Undefeated’ on May 3, Turner will attempt to play 15 shows of minimum 20-minute sets on May 4. Sponsored by taxi app FREENOW, Turner will travel circa 500 miles to play shows from Liverpool to Southampton.

Turner says of his challenge: “With nearly 3000 shows under my belt, I’ve never been one to do things by halves or shirk a challenge – I once played all 50 American states in 50 days, for goodness sake. For the release of my tenth studio album, ‘Undefeated’, I will be making an attempt at a world record: the most number of shows in different cities in 24 hours.

“It’s not just self-promotion either,” he added. “We’re working with 13 independent record shops and 15 independent grassroots music venues for the shows, highlighting two bits of the infrastructure of the underground that I care about most. It’s going to be tough, but hopefully fun too. Come down for a show!”

Find tickets  here  and see below for the tight schedule for Turner’s challenge:

Meanwhile, Turner  announced his new record in January this year , sharing it was about “survival and defiance, but also one with a sense of fun and self-deprecation.”

“19 years into my solo career, I’m still standing up and putting out some of my best work. It feels good.”

He also spoke to  NME  about the importance of going to gigs  after Covid-19, saying: “We’re trying to remind people that going to independent gigs is fun, and teaching the kids who came of age in 2020 or 2021 that this is a cool thing to do. My role in this is twofold – to shout about it whenever I can and be positive and say it’s a really fucking cool thing to go to indie gigs.

“Don’t fucking go to an arena gig where you get charged nine quid for a beer!”

Previously, the  MVT awarded Turner an Outstanding Achievement Award  for hosting 27 shows which were instrumental in directly enabling grassroots music venues to survive the  coronavirus  crisis, having raised nearly £300,000.

With summer just around the corner, it can only mean one thing - the live music and entertainment scene is set to ramp up.

This week, tickets have gone on sale for a bunch of incredible shows, including Yorkshire rock band Embrace, rising Irish trio Kingfishr, and TV frontman Ant Middleton.

And there’s also still time to bag your place at Gary Numan’s upcoming Manchester shows and Clubland’s dance party at the AO Arena next week - read on for the full list.

Embrace - Manchester Academy

November 16, 2024

Embrace are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their massive-selling ‘ Out of Nothing’ album with an 11-date UK tour in November, playing their biggest-selling record in full, along with their other greatest hits.

The tour will follow on from the band’s huge upcoming Leeds, Kirkstall Abbey show in July, where Embrace will play ‘Out of Nothing’ in full for the first time ever, in front of 6,000 fans.

Released in September 2004, ‘Out of Nothing’ became the band’s biggest-selling album of their career to date, debuting at number one and going on to sell over 600,000 copies, double platinum, in the UK alone. The album catapulted the band back to the top of the charts off the back of huge top 10 hit single ‘Gravity’ - written by Danny McNamara’s friend and Coldplay main-man Chris Martin - and the anthemic hit single ‘Ashes’ .

Tickets are on sale here now.

Ant Middleton - The Lowry Lyric Theatre, Salford

Best-selling author, TV frontman and podcaster Ant Middleton has announced a brand new 18-date tour for autumn 2024.

It’s hard to believe that it has been three years since Ant has been on stage in the UK with his Zero Negativity Tour in 2021, and yet within that time it has been both a tumultuous and exhilarating ride.

This year, Ant Middleton returns to the UK stage to talk all things K2; from the gut-wrenching experience of leaving his family to travel to one of the most dangerous mountains in the world - and the consecutive obstacles he had to surmount - to the summit itself. This will be an emotive look into the journey which was both life affirming and defining.

Tickets are available here now.

In support of his 10th album Undefeated, Frank Turner and his backing band The Sleeping Souls will be hitting the road, performing shows at venues up and down the UK from Manchester and Glasgow to Oxford and Norwich, kicking off with a performance at Glastonbury Festival.

Speaking about the upcoming UK tour, Turner said: “We’re getting closer to the day when Undefeated is out in the world. We’ve announced and sold out 14 shows in the UK – all on the same day – so let’s add a few more! I’m bringing the tour, the new album, the Sleeping Souls, and my excellent friends The Meffs, to a string of dates in rooms I know well and love around the UK this July, in between our festival shows."

Back in 2006, Turner released his debut EP Campfire Punkrock, quickly followed by his debut full-length album Sleep Is For The Week. The Hampshire-born songwriter then went on to support major artists such as Biffy Clyro, Green Day and The Gaslight Anthem, and perform at some of the UK’s biggest festivals. When Turner released his third record Poetry of the Deed, he was primed and ready for chart success, and this record opened him up to a whole new audience.

A few years passed, and Turner returned with the record Be More Kind alongside his band The Sleeping Souls. The record No Man’s Land soon followed, which was a concept album that focused on the lives of various historical women. In 2022, the 42-year-old released FTHC, his first album to take the number one spot on the UK album chart.

With his 10th studio album, Undefeated, on its way, here’s how to secure tickets to see Turner live this year.

Taylor Swift fans lose at least $1 million to Eras Tour scams in the UK

T housands of Taylor Swift’s UK fans have been duped into buying fake tickets for her upcoming Eras Tour concerts, according to a major British bank.

More than 600 customers have reported being scammed so far, losing on average £332 ($414) each, and in some cases more than £1,000 ($1,247), Lloyds Bank said in a statement Wednesday.

“As these figures are based solely on Lloyds Bank’s own customer data, it estimates that across the UK there are likely to have been at least 3,000 victims since tickets went on sale, with over £1 million being lost to fraudsters so far,” the lender added.

The impact of Swift’s global Eras Tour has been felt far and wide — embroiling Singapore in a diplomatic spat ; leaving Ticketmaster facing a court case from angry fans; and proving a major boon for the travel industry , local governments and even food banks .

The tour — the highest-grossing of all time — kicked off in the United States in March 2023 and will wrap up in December this year. Swift performs the first of 15 concerts in the United Kingdom in June.

With all UK dates now sold out, desperate fans are more likely to turn to resale sites and social media for tickets.

Lloyds said it expects to see “many more fans fall victim to ticket scams in the coming weeks and months,” leading up to the first concert in Edinburgh, Scotland.

“If you’re being asked to pay by bank transfer, particularly from a seller you’ve found on social media, that should immediately set alarm bells ringing,” said Liz Ziegler, fraud prevention director at Lloyds.

“Buying directly from reputable, authorized platforms is the only way to guarantee you’re paying for a genuine ticket. Even then, always pay by debit or credit card for the greatest protection,” she added.

According to UK Finance, a financial services industry association, Brits lost more than £40 million ($50 million) to “purchase scams,” including sales of fraudulent tickets, in the first half of last year.

HSBC, Europe’s biggest bank, directed CNN to a “Ticket fraud” warning on its website dated April 2024, which said customers should avoid “buying gig, festival or sports tickets from anyone apart from official vendors, the box office or reputable fan seller sites.”

“Criminals typically pose as a seller and post on social media or an online marketplace. They’ll tell you they’ll post or email the tickets once you’ve transferred the money to their bank account. But when you try to contact them after nothing’s arrived, they’ve disappeared off the face of the earth,” the warning added.

HSBC said this happens to “thousands” of people every year. In November, the bank warned customers over ticket scams relating to Glastonbury, the popular outdoor music festival held annually in England in the summer.

Kirsty Adams, a product manager at Barclays UK, said: “2024 is a huge year for entertainment — with Taylor Swift and Glastonbury kicking off the summer in June, closely followed by the Euros, the Olympics and the Paralympics.

“Whilst most fans will have already secured their tickets, it’s likely we’ll see a surge of resales nearer the time, with scammers targeting fans who may have missed out and failed to secure a ticket in the ballot or draw process.”
