Goa tour package from Kolkata
Why goa from kolkata.
The “City of Joy” definitely is alluring. But its charm is an old-world brilliance that resides in its narrow lanes, nearly dilapidated buildings, moist, mossy pathways leading to British-era red bricked colonial style buildings that takes us back to the traditional India during the time of British occupancy is different from the charm of the pristine beaches and wide open seas and lazy waves of the small coastal state of Goa. Kolkata is the capital of West Bengal, situated beside the sluggish and massive River Hoogly, a major distributary of Ganga. This third largest city of India celebrates life and humanity on a daily basis. The bustle and sound and scent of Kolkata can be matched by no other Indian city and attracts a lot of domestic and international tourists and travellers. Yet Goa remains a coveted vacation destination to the residents of Kolkata.
Victoria Memorial, the Grand Museum of Art and History, Howrah Bridge, Indian Museum, the supreme seat showcasing Indian culture and the striking buildings and temples of the pre-independence era such as the Howrah Station, Writer’s Building and the Dakhineshwar Temple are classy and vintage. The tram rides and the hand-pulled rickshaws along with the ‘ikka gari’ on ‘tongas’ pulled by horses, the old-age Kolkata Race Course are an experience that cannot be compared. In spite of all the vintage allurement, Goa, however, resides closely in the minds of the people of Kolkata and they plan for Goa tour package from Kolkata enthusiastically of and on.
Popular Beaches in Goa
Kolkata People Enjoy Goa’s Major Tourist Spots
Goa tour package from Kolkata fills the itinerary with the exotic North Goa beaches, such as, Anjuna, Baga, Calangute, Vagator, Dona Paula and add the richness to these by the luxury and tranquillity of the South Goa beaches, such as Colva, Majorda, Palolem and Cavelossim. The picturesque and regal fortified destinations of Aguada fort, which is a fort-cum-lighthouse built by the Portuguese as early as in 1613 and the Chapora fort, which is more famous now as the location featured in the major Indian blockbuster ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ are all absolutely stunning. The Goa Packages also include some other major landmarks such as Basilica of Bom Jesus which was established in 1605, containing the remains of St. Francis Xavier, the unique Naval Aviation Museum, which exhibits the history of Naval Aviation in India and the Church of our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.
To add excitement to the itinerary include go-karting near Verna, scour the flea markets for a trophy memento at the Anjuna flea markets, Mapusa market, Calangute market square, etc. Try a hand at the bustling best-of-the-lot casinos such as Deltin Royale, Casino Pride and Deltin Caravela.
Indulge in thrilling water sports such as Kayaking, windsurfing, jet skiing, scuba diving, parasailing, snorkelling etc. at most of the beaches. Get amazed with nature’s beauty and serenity at the Dudhsagar waterfalls, Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary, Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary and Rachol fort that is known better for scenic beauty rather than architectural sophistication.
