Order kids floral vans, received a pair of new balance shoes. Contacted Journey and they were of no help asking me to return the shoes first before fixing the error. They dinally offer to set up fed-ex pick up to my surprise they are going to charge me to return the iteam they sent by accident . Total dissapointment, they dont offer any type of solution even after i stated i work 2 jobs.

I had a wonderful experience at Journeys located at the Eastland Mall in Gastonia, NC. The store manager, Meadow James was very helpful in assisting me exchanging Uggs short boot and ordering the Ugg Tall boot in black. She was attentive and very courteous. I will do repeat business with Journeys for myself and my family shoes needs.

Worst ever online shopping experience

This is the worst ever online shopping experience I had. I would rate negative stars if I could. I don’t even know how this shoe company still exists! Defective shoes and unbelievably cumbersome return/refund process. The sole purpose of having a customer service team is to create problems for customers. I spent $20 to ship the defective shoes back and they insisted not receiving them. Do not waste your time and money on this store!

Worst customer service ever

Bought vans shoes for our 10 year old. He wore them 2 days. Soles are literally ripping off the shoe. Journeys says this is 'normal wear and tear', and they cannot exchange them. He wore them for 2 days! Shameless profiteering at this store, no regard for their own customers. I am embarrassed that I ever thought to shop there.

Not reliable

They canceled my order and did not even send me an email. So I had to reach out to them asking where my order was. They said it was canceled due to being "out of stock" but it is available in all their stores nearby, so it was definitely possible to complete my order if they had any level of customer service. All they had to say was "We really do apologize for this matter".

I would give them zero stars if I could. I purchased an item online. Paid through Apply pay on a Friday morning and they took the money out of my account right away as usual. I picked up the item Saturday. Tuesday morning I see that they were trying to charge me again. I called them and they said they hold the amount in case the payment doesn’t go through. 3 days they said. I have never had a company do this. They got the payment. You cannot make online payments without making a payment. Terrible business practices. They have lost a customer. I will never order from here again and will tell others as well.

These people are careless…

These people are ridiculously careless when it comes to customer service. I ordered an item and accidentally chose the wrong shipping address and emailed them within 2 minutes of placing the order to change it. Over the next 2 days I sent 3 seperate emails about the issue and they still managed to send it to the wrong address. Now I will never get my item and have lost my money as well. Great job Journeys, take a hint and get better staff.

Save yourself the hassle

Save yourself the hassle. Placed an order and it shows shipped;but after a phone call to confirm they said they never shipped the order and said it was out of stock and just put shipped in there system. I will never walk in a store or order from this company again.

I should have looked at reviews of…

I should have looked at reviews of Journey's before I ordered something from them. The whole process has been problematic from the get-go. I placed the order for a pair of Vans and received a confirmation email telling me it will ship soon. I hear nothing for ten days, so I call and they tell me that its just sitting in a store in Charlotte, NC. Finally, after 3 weeks, I get the shoes... they are too big. So I initiate return. They tell me they will charge $8 to return them, and it will likely be 4 weeks before I get a replacement pair. Its safe to say I will NOT be ordering from Journey's ever again.

Terrible Customers Service

Entire purchasing process was terrible. Charged twice for shoes and they claim 7-10 business days to return. Why would you charge me once the shoes are delivered if you already charged me when I placed my order? Customer service unknowledgeable and overall unhelpful. Will not be purchasing from them againand will be telling everyone I know to do the same

I paid for an online order for Shrek crocs/never received

I paid for an online order for Shrek Crocs for my son at the Sevierville, Tennessee, location on 10/11/23. A week later, I received an email from Journeys saying that the Crocs were no longer in stock and that I would receive a refund in 5-7 days. Over two and a half months, three mythical refund checks that were never received (or apparently even mailed), two different store visits, and 6-8 phone calls later, still no Crocs or refund. These people are liars and thieves and have absolutely no intention of sending the merchandise or refunding my money. I strongly encourage everyone reading this to not purchase anything from this company, especially if it’s online or not available for you to take into your physical possession at the time you tender payment. I will be visiting the Sevierville location again this weekend. And I’ll be walking out with sufficient merchandise to cover the original amount of the purchase as well as my wasted time, whether they like it or not.

Absolutely horrible customer service it’s been three weeks since I ordered from there still haven’t received my order. They just tell me to deal with the shipper. FedEx tells me the contact the seller. This is so annoying I will not recommend them or will order there again myself! By the time your order arrives seasons have changed and it’s no longer needed 😅

I’m not a person to write reviews however I ordered a pair of shoes and a shirt from Journeys Ca. Shortly after Journeys sent me an email stating “ We're sorry to inform you that your payment for your Journeys order xxxxxxxxxxx was declined. To provide a new payment method, please call us at (855) 211-2349”. Please note the money for the order was taken out of my account including an additional $22. I replied to the email— no response. I called the number provided— representative wasn’t the greatest. They had also told me that I would receive a cancellation email. I have yet a reply from Journeys and a cancellation or confirmation email. I have never had any problems with Journeys Ca until now and I feel as if I was scammed from Journeys Ca as I got no response or my money back. I don’t recommend ordering from their site. Use an alternative such as Boathouse.

Positive experience. I bought my pair of boots online on a Monday morning, to have the UPS guy knocking at my door on Tuesday at 830am with my purchase in hands. Quick and everything came perfectly: right size, right colour, just as you would expect. I also contacted their costumer service on their page to check for my tracking number, and the service was quick and efficient as well.

REFUSES TO RIGHT A WRONG DONE BY THEM

This HORRIBLE tri County store REFUSED to replace a wrong shoe that their more than ignorant worker chose. I needed 8 in woman's for MY DAUGHTER who now doesn't have her CHRISTMAS shoes, why? Because Journeys employee gave me 1 size 8 in women's and 1 size 8 in men's, then REFUSED to fix it unless, get this, I PAY AN ADDITIONAL $5 ... For what? Oh because the price went up JUST TODAY smfh. I ALREADY OWNED THE DAM SHOES WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY AGAIN????? And when I called Customer Service who assured me a Supervisor would call me back within 15 minutes has now not reached out and it's been 2 hrs. THANK YOU for taking a Christmas Gift from a child because you hire incompetent workers.... Be PROUD of yourselves....

Paid for next day air to be told it takes 1-2 days to process!! What’s the point of paying $25 to receive a package “3-5” days later. Could’ve stuck with regular ground shipping.

Completely indifferent and disrespectful attitude towards the buyer! Cheated! Springfield mo store, kendall is the girl working, I paid for a pair of vans they upped charged me, I turned around and went back and told him the sticker on the shoe was a different price. She told me she could not do that, and she would not give me what the shoe price was so they gave me a refund, she got super hateful. I asked her name she told me Kendal and then she said do you want me to spell it for you? Manager was standing right there and never said a word to her. I told the manager I’d go above her and she refunded me and then turned around and told me she’d sell me the shoe for the correct price customer service in there was absolutely pathetic that Kendal girl stood there and argued with me as a customer, right in front of her manager…

Ella Dunn, Employee #643199, greeted me with such enthusiasm it made my day, that was nice. There is an UGG hoodie sweater that I LOVE! Hanging on the wall! I don't think you understand, I have the same hoodie that I purchased prior to falling ill with COVID-19, several years ago & unable to work. An UGG hoodie was not a priorty BUT did I mention I LOVE the UGG hoodie sweater. Currently, there are only certain type of material that does not hurt my skin. I can be in this hoodie 24/7.LOL Prior to me having to think if I could/should purchase this expensive wonderful hoodie because it's SO EXPENSIVE but worth it, LIKE $100 EXPENSIVE but it's on sale! But It's not my size, it's too small Ella went to her computer to see if she could order it online. No luck! She could have left it there. Instead, Ella went above and beyond by looking to see which other stores had that hoodie in my size. Ella found my size, Ella reached out to the store and asked if it would be possible to have that item transferred to her store for a customer to purchase. They said YES! 😊 I am SOOOOOOO HAPPY! THANK YOU ELLA!

“Terrible customer service!”

I ordered online 2 pair of shoes and made payments through Klarna! Because the shoes was delivered but not to the correct home, they didn't want reimburse me my money or resend the shoes! Do not trust Journeys! Go personally to the store and buy the product! Don't do online purchases! The house they delivered was green and my house is blue! I paid them so it's not about the money! But I guess Journeys needs it more than me!

I ordered a pair of sneakers which was shipped by fed ex and when they delivered it was thrown in my driveway for easy access to be taken. So yes it was stolen. I called journeys and they said they are nit responsible for this. Maybe they should be and provide another carrier that would do a better job placing package by the door. So journeys don't refund or ask if you would like the same order instead. Now they lost a future customer. That's how much they care.

I ordered my cute, adorable RED New balance tennies on Tuesday, May 2,2017, and I received updates from the time I placed the order informing me of what was happening with my order. Yesterday, Thursday, May 4,2017, I received an email from Journey's letting me know my shoes had shipped and they'd be here by today - Friday, May 5,2017, but I thought, "NO WAY!" But, WAY! I have them on my feet right now and I love them!

I was pleased with ordering from Journeys. I've been to the store and only purchased socks from them. I never order shoes online since I wear a half size and can never seem to find shoes that fit just right. Well, the website is pretty easy to maneuver and I ended up getting 4 pairs of converse, sperry's & polo for less than $200. To me that was a steal! And two pairs came straight from the store. I was always updated with confirmation and when my items were shipped. Only issue I had was I got two pairs in the mail first and it had someone else's invoice inside of it. I waited until the second couple pairs came in but they just had mine on the outside. Even said it was handpicked by an employee. & one coupon for each pair of shoes! After the order I have received tons of emails from Journeys since then. I had to throw it in my spam folder. It took the average amount of days 5-7. And the shoes fit myself & my husband perfectly. I'd order from them again.

There are a few different options in this case. 1) For the quickest option, the store can help you return the wrong size and place a Special Order for the correct size, which can either be shipped to your home or the store's address for pick up within 4 - 7 business days. 2) Alternatively, you may reorder the correct size via our website and then return the current order in the original manufacturer box to the store with your confirmation email. 3) Another option would be to request a prepaid FedEx label through our website with the following link (for web orders only) to exchange through our warehouse for the correct size. However, all warehouse returns and exchanges by mail can take 2 - 4 weeks to process from the date we receive the return package. T+L's Review of Explora Journeys' Explora I

New luxury cruise line Explora Journeys just launched Explora I, a 461-suite ship. T+L's cruise editor was one of the first on board to report what you can expect.

Paul Brady is the news director at Travel + Leisure and the brand's expert on cruise travel. He has been covering the travel industry for more than 15 years for outlets including Condé Nast Traveler , Skift , and The Huffington Post .

In the old days, a really good worker in Stavanger, Norway, could pack a tin full of spratt in just four seconds. And then another. And another. By the end of her shift, she might’ve stuffed 8,000 cans full of the sardine-sized fish, topped each up with olive oil, and passed them over to the adjuster’s table where they’d get a critical eye before getting clamped shut and shipped off to the labeler.

Of course, she’d have help. Before the spratt reached her table — and it was almost always a woman doing the packing — the fish would be salted and threaded onto racks by children, some no older than eight. The kids would then pass the racks to burly furnacemen, who’d hoist them over the oak-wood coals in between nips of beer. Elsewhere in the packinghouse, printers would whirr and the steam-hiss of sanitizing equipment would drone for 10 hours a day, six days a week and only rest, like the workers, on Sundays.

The whole town, you might say, was wrapped up in the canning of fish, which flourished so mightily in the fjords that crease Norway’s North Sea coast. Back then, they’ll tell you, the fishermen could just scoop spratt right into the boat. Some 70 percent of the city of Stavanger was, at one time in the early 20th century, involved with the business. In a good year, a single worker could send close to 3 million tins out into the world, whether up the coast to Bergen or to the trenches along the Western Front.

Not that I’d expected to learn any of this.

In fact, I’d never even heard of Stavanger until a few weeks before I arrived. But there I was one gunmetal day in August, pulling into port aboard the Explora I, a just-launched cruise ship from the new brand Explora Journeys. We were sailing from Copenhagen to Hamburg, Germany, and along the way docked in the heart of Stavanger. Minutes after stepping off the ship, a small group of passengers and I were scampering through the Old Town’s cobbled streets, snapping photos of the whitewashed wooden buildings and chatting with an affable guide arranged by the cruise line. Soon enough, she was filling us in about the history of fish packing — not to mention the Norwegian oil-and-gas industry, municipal politics, and the pros and cons of living in Scandinavia. She also procured for us several tastes of local foods including pickled herring, the flatbread known as lefse , and fenalår , a salted-and-cured lamb leg that might best be described as Norwegian prosciutto.

It was, unexpectedly, a most delightful way to spend a morning, snacking our way around town and popping into shops like Chili Chocolate , discovering a new record store-slash-pub called Blåveis , and seeing the brutalist building that houses the Sølvberget Library and Culture Centre . (Incidentally, the library is also home to an outpost of Sirkus Renna , a konditori that makes outstanding cardamom buns.)

Not that the other stops along the way lacked for pleasure. In Oslo, the Nordic weather gods looked on us with favor, and visitors and locals alike took to the shoreline for sunbathing, sauna sessions, and, in my case, a two-hour paddling trip around the harbor with Mad Goats , a local outfitter. In Goteborg, Sweden, I wandered blissfully from neighborhood to neighborhood, window shopping in Haga and sniffing out bakeries in Landala. There, too, I took to the water by renting an electric canal cruiser — much like the ones in Amsterdam — from Let’s Boat for an hour-long, self-guided tour of the city’s waterways.

The most impressive vessel of the trip, though, was the Explora I . Built in Italy and officially launched only weeks before I came aboard, the 461-suite ship is the first of a planned six for Explora Journeys . Like many top-tier lines, Explora has countless moments of indulgence, like freely poured Moet & Chandon Imperial and the unlimited raw bar available in the Emporium Marketplace, a dining venue on Deck 11. The extravagance continues in the rooms, which are outfitted with Frette linens and robes and feature the kind of subdued color palette and rich materials you’d find at an Aman or One&Only resort. (They’ve also got heated marble floors in the bathrooms and Dyson hair dryers in the walk-in closets.) 

The onboard restaurants are also excellent. The tasting-menu venue Anthology is the most ambitious, with menus designed by culinary superstars who commit to three-month rotations aboard the ship. The first partnership is with Ristorante Uliassi , the Michelin three-starred destination outside Ancona, Italy, which has created an eight-course menu that highlights Adriatic seafood and wines from Le Marche. (The tuna carpaccio alla puttanesca was, for me, a particular highlight.) If you have dietary restrictions, make sure to check up ahead of the trip to make sure that everything’s good!

Another complaint that travelers had with G Adventures was with the amenities that come with the accommodations. Some of the travelers found that there was no air conditioning, bedding, hot water, etc during their stay despite the trip description saying that they’re provided. A good rule of thumb is to always check up with the trip operator ahead of time to reconfirm and make sure all the amenities are there!

Is G Adventures worth it?

With over 30 years of experience, we think G Adventures is a great tour company that knows what’s good for its clientele.

It takes the hassle of organizing everything by yourself and is a safer way to travel. There are downsides, of course, as with every other tour company. They also don’t offer tours for every country in the world, so make sure you check that. The choice also depends on your personal preference, and you can reach out to their support team and clarify your doubts.

Before playing his piano ballad “Faithfully” on Journey ‘s opening 2023 date at an Oklahoma casino theatre on Friday (Jan. 27), Jonathan Cain told about 3,000 fans: “It’s good to be back. All together again.”

The sextet’s three focal points — frontman Arnel Pineda , Schon and Cain — dominated the spotlight. Pineda, who replaced long-departed frontman Steve Perry in 2008 and sounds exactly like him, was in constant motion, running, jumping, waving, pointing and leading singalongs. Schon soloed constantly, opening the first song “Only the Young” with a burst of noise on his PRS NS-15 guitar and improvising with hard rock power chords in unexpected ways at the ends of rock radio fixtures “Wheel In the Sky” and “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’,” and Cain anchored “Feeling That Way” and “Who’s Crying Now” on his red piano.

Journey’s live formula is simple: play the beloved hits from the ’70s and ’80s, even if Schon and Cain are the only remaining band members from that era. They dispatched with their signature “Don’t Stop Believin’,” which has nearly 1.5 billion plays on Spotify alone, as the third song, then closed with na-na-na-ing, whoa-oh-whoaing and general earworm-rocking with “Wheel In the Sky,” “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” and the finale “Any Way You Want It.”

Schon and Cain consistently kept roughly 20 yards of distance between them, as Cain, mostly stationary in a dark suit coat, held down stage right with four different keyboards. Schon spoke sparingly, but Cain told the story of writing “Faithfully” on a lonely 1981 bus ride, concluding, “We pay a price for a life like this,” then encouraging the crowd to support the U.S. armed forces. The two cooperated musically, especially on “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’,” when Cain played boogie-woogie runs and Schon dropped in sympathetic guitar riffs to augment the piano. With the exception of Schon, who sang minimally, all six band members harmonized on vocals, nicely backing Pineda’s impossibly high range on “Anytime.”

With Schon and Cain in separate corners, and drummer Deen Castronovo, bassist Todd Jensen and second keyboardist Jason Derlatka holding down the middle, it was Pineda’s job to enliven the crowd, which he did, energetically and enthusiastically. He was the one member of Journey who seemed happy to be there, jumping on a pedestal and throwing his head back to hit those high notes, patting Schon on the back, fist-bumping Cain, signing autographs as songs were going on and, long after the others had walked off stage, sticking around for crowd selfies. Rock stars may “pay a price” for the rock-star life, but, Pineda suggested, it’s fun, too.

Should you pull for Florabelle in AFK Journey?

Florabelle  debuted in  AFK Journey  through the Rate-Up Recruitment beginning on April 15 at 7pm CT, taking over for Vala. As a Wilder Fighter, she harnesses the power of her summoned students to deal damage and control enemy characters, while also buffing allied summons.

Should you summon Florabelle in Rate-Up Recruitment in AFK Journey?

You should pull for Florabelle  in  AFK Journey   during her Rate-Up Recruitment period  up to Mythic+ . That’s because her EX Weapon skill,  Protective Blessing , grants a permanent shield to all allied summons, not just her own, and it’s the skill you unlock on Mythic+. The synergy with Cecia is the main reason I’m investing diamonds and Rate-Up Recruitment Letters for  at least one copy of Florabelle  early on, regardless of her individual performance and power level. If you have enough recruitment resources,  you ideally want five copies of Florabelle, so you can unlock her EX Weapon skill .

Florabelle will be in the Rate-Up Recruitment option in the Noble Tavern  from April 15 to May 10 , when she’ll move to the All-Hero and Epic Recruitment options. The previous Rate-Up character, Vala, will now be available in these two standard recruitment modes.

Best Florabelle character synergies in AFK Journey

Given the formidable power level of Cecia and her summon, Mr. Carlyle, in both PvE and PvP modes, pairing her with Florabelle significantly improves Cecia’s damage-carrying capabilities. Making Cecia stronger is a good reason alone to invest in Florabelle. Damian’s toy chariot qualifies as a summon under Florabelle’s skill, so this establishes a core  team composition  with Cecia as the damage carry, Damian as support, and Florabelle as a utility hero. Adding a robust frontline with Thoran as the tank and Antandra as the off-tank solidifies your first Florabelle team.

Rowan is an excellent hero to pair with Florabelle, as his Energy-boosting Ultimate allows her to use her own Ultimate more frequently, enabling her to control enemies multiple times during a fight. This pairing provides a window to attack enemies without counterattacks for a few seconds, which could be crucial in turning the tide of the battle.

What's New for 2020?

Dodge cuts down the number of available trims on the Journey from three to just two for 2020: the SE Value and the Crossroad. The other notable cuts are the absence of all-wheel drive and the optional V-6 engine that were paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. The only powertrain available is now the antiquated 172-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder that is paired to a four-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. Buyers can look forward to the addition of standard rear park assist to all models as well as a standard sunroof for the Crossroad trim level. Dodge also streamlines the option-picking process with the introduction of the Popular Equipment Group which bundles many features together, depending on trim level. In the SE Value trim, the package gives you a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, Uconnect with Voice Command and Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, three-zone climate control, security alarm, and a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel. The Crossroad's Popular Equipment Group adds a universal garage door opener, remote start, heated front seats and steering wheel, navigation, and a six-speaker sound system with a subwoofer. Dodge has announced that the Journey will finally come to an end after the 2020 model year.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

The price of the 2020 Dodge Journey starts at $25,170 and goes up to $30,090 depending on the trim and options.

With the absence of the V-6 and all-wheel drive for 2020, the rental-fleet-inspired SE Value version is our pick from the Journey lineup. With minimal options to choose from and minimal value added from the Popular Equipment Group at this level, we'd skip everything and stick with the bare-bones Journey.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The Journey SE and Crossroad trims come with an underpowered four-cylinder engine that's best avoided—except you can't, since the V-6 is no longer offered. The 172-hp engine is woefully underpowered and the four-speed automatic transmission that's reluctant to downshift further dulls its real-world performance.

There are not many three-row crossovers that are entertaining to drive, so their ride and handling are graded on a curve. Even so, the Journey's ponderous handling and unresponsive transmission leave it far from getting a good rating from us. It wallows in corners with lots of body roll and imprecise steering. The benefit of this softness, however, is a comfortable ride on the freeway.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

The four-cylinder engine has the worst EPA ratings among competitors with similar powertrains, with 19 mpg in city driving and 25 mpg on the highway. By comparison, the 2019 Honda CR-V is rated at 26 city and 32 mpg on the highway, while the 2019 Toyota C-HR is rated at 27/31.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

The Journey's interior is far from upscale, but its simple controls are user-friendly. Getting anyone to fit in the third row—even children—requires those in the second row to compromise their legroom. Cheap-feeling bits such as a plasticky shifter and hollow-sounding interior door-trim panels are especially egregious on the priciest version. Several luxury features including a power-adjustable passenger seat, cooled seats, and heated rear seats are notable in their absence from the options list.

Practicality is one of the few areas where the Journey shines: its interior is easily configurable and it has tons of cubby storage for odds and ends, even if its total cargo capacity isn't as large as some competitors. You can fold down the 50/50-split third row and the 60/40-split second row to expand the available cargo space, although the Journey offers the least amount of total cargo space of the vehicles in this class. In addition to the expected compartments in and around the console, there's also a generously sized bin under the front-passenger seat cushion, as well as two large underfloor compartments in the second row.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Although every model features an easy-to-use touchscreen, the system has fewer features than many other Dodge products. Likewise, the larger screen is responsive, but we wish Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability were offered here. There's also only a single USB port up front—not great for the device-happy spawn likely to inhabit the back seats.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Overall safety rating (nhtsa).

The Journey's lackluster safety report card reveals that it's not the best choice when it comes to sheltering your precious onboard cargo. Its crash-test results are not great, and—what's worse—it offers none of the advanced driver-assistance technology that is expected in other family haulers. The only available safety feature is rear parking sensors.

Dodge's warranty coverage is average, and Journey buyers won't enjoy complimentary scheduled maintenance.

‘A Journey’ Review – A Beautiful Yet Tragic Tale Of Death, Life, And Love

A Journey is a heartwrenching Filipino drama about a woman with cancer setting out to complete her bucket list together with her husband and childhood friend. It’s a beautiful and compelling piece of filmmaking about what truly matters. 

I must warn you though, this film will make you very sad. 

A Journey opens with cancer survivor Shane, her husband Bryan, and their best friend Kristoff, aka Tupe, celebrating her 39th birthday at a karaoke bar. Kristoff is a famous television actor and Bryan works as his manager while Shane runs a coffee shop. The three have been friends since childhood, while Bryan and Shane have been in love for just as long. 

Not long after her birthday, Shane notices some worrying symptoms and goes to her oncologist. The news is devastating, Shane’s cancer has returned. After having suffered through chemo once before, Shane doesn’t want treatment this time. Instead, she wants to spend whatever time she has left getting through her “magic list” with Bryan and Tupe’s help. The list includes some fun items like seeing penguins, going snorkeling, and recreating her first date with Bryan, but also emotionally heavy goals like reconnecting with her estranged father.

A Journey is a heartfelt drama exploring themes of love, friendship, and the things that matter when faced with mortality. It may start with a bad karaoke scene, but this isn’t a feel-good romance where everything is honky dory in the end. The film offers an honest (and depressing) exploration of the often tragic reality of the human condition.

A devastated Bryan seems to accept his wife’s decision and even quits his job to spend time with her. He does, however, have an ulterior motive as he’s hoping Shane will agree to start her cancer treatments once the magic list is complete. Wanting to help, Tupe organizes an all-expenses paid trip to Tasmania for the trio. Shane is apprehensive about allowing her friend to pay for such an expensive trip, but she eventually relents.

As lighthearted as the trio tries to be during their trip, the finality of their actions is never far from our minds. One compelling scene is where Tupe and Bryan debate whether life is about the journey or the destination. For Tupe, it’s about the destination, but Bryan sees the journey as more important. Shane, however, is acutely aware of how important each moment is and wants to spend her time making the most of it. 

The premise of a cancer patient choosing to live to the fullest in their final months has been done before, most notably in the 2007 tearjerker The Bucket List starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. However, a movie doesn’t need to have a never-before-seen synopsis to be good. And that’s precisely what A Journey is. It’s a touching story about three childhood friends finding meaning in their lives in the face of devastating adversity.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! And I can be pretty picky. First, GREAT atmosphere! Totally remodeled inside! Lots of great tables, great view of Palmer Lake, awesome "royalty lounge" & even some cute bistro style patio tables! Great bar area. Perfect for happy hour with friends! Next, awesome drinks (full bar, beer / wine selection)! Awesome staff. Super friendly! And a very creative tapas menu! Food was delicious. My only complaint is that they aren't open for lunch! So let's all support them so they can expand their hours soon! Would be an awesome lunch by the lake spot this summer!!! Bravo! Well done! We will all be back! I very strongly encourage all Palmer Lakians to go visit and support Journeys End. Definitely want this one to stick around for good!

Just what we were looking for... creative chef, perfect portion, friendly staff and owners. We felt incredibly welcomed. The food was contemporary, international, creative, not run of the mill, frozen franchise boring. They have excellent draft beer selections, and such an accommodating attitude. We didn't feel rushed, we could hear our own conversation. Such a cozy atmosphere with a great balcony. This place is a real gem and much needed change of pace for Palmer lake and surrounding area. I highly recommend and will be back! Just a few of the tastes we enjoyed: fried halumi cheese dressed in honey, chicken milenesa with pesto cream rice, twice baked stuffed spud, and the burrata cheese with bruschetta. Fantastic churro stout on draft. Buckle in, it's not crap food and piss beer Palmer Lake...

New and learning...the location is stunning with views of Palmer Lake and trains chugging by. Super friendly owner Tripp shared his family's history in the area, moving home to Palmer Lake from TX to open a business, lamenting the inflated home prices that list for $200,000 and sell for $600,000, and the need for staff who can't afford to live here. But, I digress! A limited menu of diverse offerings, and Italian night, so hubby ordered the spaghetti and meatball special and I ordered the BLT salad. Happy hour from 4-6 provided $1 off wines, wells, and drafts. The spaghetti was actually spaghetti with meat sauce (not balls), and my husband said it was more of what you would think of as Midwestern spaghetti. Definitely a homemade sauce with green peppers and carrots in it and barely any garlic flavor was served with garlic bread and potatoes, and a great side salad. My salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with chopped bacon, tomatoes, and when I reminded them, some mashed avocado. Honestly, not to be mean, but it was just okay. I think I would like to come here and enjoy the deck seating overlooking the lake, and maybe some happy hour drinks. The staff was so nice that I have to give them four stars, but the food was just okay. Eclectic decor gives a homey feel, but the deck is definitely a winner!

Awesome place, quaint restaurant on top of a game shop they also own. The wait and bar staff were so kind and attentive, they gave us the best table in the house in a little alcove. All the food was delicious, especially the saltado. Tripp, the owner, was exceptionally friendly and helped us celebrate our anniversary. We will be regulars here!

We love coming here! The food is amazing. Everything is fresh, made to order. The owners are always so accommodating. I can't recommend this place enough!

Excellent food, excellent staff. We had the roasted artichokes, milanesa de pollo, and T-bone steak. The milanesa was pounded nicely thin with firm, crispy breading. T- bone cooked perfectly and came with salad, roasted potatoes, and rice with a creamy dressing. Excited to try other dishes - will definitely be back!

Top notch places to dine, relax and feel like home. Owners have long history of creating great dishes and making you feel like family!! From Texas to Colorado they have not missed a step!! Every Tripp (no pun intended) to Palmer Lake will include a stop at Journeys End.

We've eaten here twice and loved it both times! It's a small menu so we've tried almost all of it and every bite was delicious. The setting is lovely and relaxing and friendly and accommodating wait staff. Come try it out!!

First visit to a recently revitalized restaurant we'd been visiting for 20 years. The the staff is very enthusiastic tho calling us "kids" is a no-go and shouldn't be tolerated by the owner. The evening menu is pretty good, with many interesting offerings. Don't know if American burgers are a staple but not listed. The description of their faux escargot dish (really mushrooms and garlic) I took as an insult to REAL escargot and would like to see it gone at the next printing (I spread it around on social media to people I know who like their snails to be eaten, not "protected" by PETA types.) My wife's first salad came with the wrong dressing-quickly set aright, and her baked potato was very well prepared. I chose the Moroccan tajine because the server did a good job describing it. Never had it before. It was very tasty, a goodly portion, and I will have it again. I suspect it was not done in the traditional bowl because it was only warm, not nearly as hot as expected. I feel it should be served so hot it is delivered with hot-pads and the usual hot-plate warning. The owner and staff were very friendly, outgoing and accomodating. We wish them success. There's a place for them in Palmer Lake, and we'll be back!
