We connect dancers (and those who may just have an interest) with Latin dance festivals around the globe. No partner is needed to join our trips. Our guests come from different backgrounds and all kinds of adult ages.

Our trips include cultural excursions, dance classes and workshops for all levels and genres of Latin dance such as Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Bomba y Plena, Afro-Cuban, Cuban Salsa/Casino, Rueda de Casino, Cuban Son, and more! We attend salsa festivals, music and dance events such as concerts and night parties to practice our dance moves, beach and pool parties, shows, and dance exhibitions.  Below are some of our upcoming trips.

The International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago proudly presents the first ever Chicago Latino Dance Festival, a four-week celebration of the rich variety and versatility of Iberoamerican dance and of Chicago’s thriving dance scene. 37 Chicago-area groups will participate, representing such disciplines and regions as Puerto Rican bomba and plena, Brazilian samba, flamenco, Belizean punta, Haitian traditional, Chilean cueca, indigenous dances from the Quechua, Purepecha and Zapotec nations, tango and contemporary dance, among others.

The festival will be held from September 17 to October 12 in four separate venues: the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E 60th St. (Sunday, September 17) ; Old Town School of Folk Music, Maurer Auditorium, 4544 N. Lincoln Ave. (Saturday, September 23) ; t he Global Peace Picnic’s ¡Súbelo! Stage part of the World Music Festival, Humboldt Park Boathouse, 1301 N. Sacramento Avenue (Saturday, September 30) ; and the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center, 4048 W. Armitage Ave. (Thursday, October 12). Admission to all four days of the festival is FREE, however you are encouraged to reserve your spot in advance.

No. The event ticket gives you admission to the event on the ship and access to all workshops and Miami Salsa Cruise activities. The cabin is reserved seperately.

HOW DO I BOOK MY CABIN?

Once you purchase your event ticket, you will be e-mailed the Miami Salsa Cruise group Code along with the contact information to our Carnival Group travel specialist to reserve your cabin.

DOES MY SPOUSE, CHILD, OR OTHER TRAVELING COMPANION HAVE TO PURCHASE EVENT TICKETS TO SAIL?

No. Only attendees who wish to attend the exclusive event parties and workshops have to buy a Miami Salsa Cruise ticket. All other attendees must still reserve a cabin using the shared group code once an event ticket is purchased.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE WITH REGARDS TO COVID-19?

Cruise lines have lifted vaccine mandates to sail. However, for everyone’s continued safety, a photo (digital or otherwise) of you with an at-home self-test showing negative results must be shown at the port upon checking in.

Come embark an adventure exploring styles such as Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Kizomba, Cumbia and more. From its origins in African drumbeats and the traditional dances of Indigenous cultures in Mexico, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean, Latin dancing has enamored people across the world with its sensual moves and electric energy.

We’ll explore these dances throughout 2023 with dance nights in January, April, and July. Together we can learn about their history and impact on the world today—as well as have a blast along the way.

The fun starts with a one-hour, beginner dance class at 7:30 p.m. (no partner needed!), followed by social dancing from 8:30 to 11 p.m. See you on the dance floor!

World Latin Dance Cup 2023 Dates Announced

The World Latin Dance Cup (WLDC) announced today via a livestream that the 2023 World Latin Dance Cup competition will be held February 6-12, 2023 in Cartagena, Colombia.

This will be the first return of the World Latin Dance Cup since December of 2019. The 2021 competition was held online due to the pandemic, and the 2022 competition was scheduled for April, but again postponed due to the pandemic.

The 2022 competition moves the event from Medellin, Colombia, where the event was held in 2019, to Cartagena, Colombia, which is a city along the Colombian coast known for its beaches and Spanish architecture.

The World Latin Dance Cup is one of the premier Latin dance competitions in the world. Started in 2010 by Albert Torres, the competition draws thousands competitors from across Latin America and the world.

Many past champions have gone on to achieve global fame, including Ricardo & Karen, Rafael & Carine, and David & Paulina.

The 2023 competition will mark the 12th World Latin Dance Cup event.
