WHO ARE WE?

ohio travel baseball

Founded in 1989 by our late President Darrel Jennings, the Boys of Summer is a premier travel baseball and softball organization with its roots in Northeast Ohio.

With a rich tradition of hard work and a willingness to sacrifice for the betterment of the team, throughout the years our organization has achieved an high level of success. In 2014 our organization was turned over to its current president Greg Kroah, who has been coaching and involved in youth baseball for over a decade. We look to honor our founder Darrel Jennings by continuing our rich history of building great ball players, and turning out exceptional young men ready to take on the world as they transition into adulthood. We require our athletes to be talented on the field, exceptional students, and respectful young men. We look forward to facing the challenges presented to our club both on and off the field.

Our talented players are handpicked to join the Boys of Summer through public workout sessions commonly held in each fall. Think you have what it takes to join our organization? We encourage you to contact us  for tryout information or any other further questions.

Our Partners

A's history, board driven commitment to excellence, next level baseball.

Started in Licking County, Ohio in 1992, we are one of the oldest, continuous running travel baseball organizations in central Ohio.  We pride ourselves in being an organization that develops young men into good teammates, sportsmen, and players all while learning to play the game of baseball at a high level and with high integrity for the game.

With many of our players committed to playing baseball at the collegiate level, all of our high school age teams compete in the most heavily scouted events.  Each year we send young men to the next level with 11 players off of last years 2019 squad committing to D1, D2, D3, or Junior College level baseball.

Our longevity and annual success is in no small part due to the oversight of each team and coaching staff by our board of directors.  We maintain stringent policy standards to ensure fairness and equity among the teams and families that are part of the Athletics Baseball organization.
