Excellent Experience!
Ravi Prasad & Family from Chennai - It was really a great concept to travel around Pollachi, Parambikulam, Maonkey falls, Top Slip in a "OPEN" jeep. Mr. Selva of Pollachi Jeep Tourism is friendly and informative. My family has enjoyed the trip to the fullest extent . Especially my son who is fond of photography has really explored the opportunity with some beautiful pictures of the nature around. We highly recommend this Open Jeep Tourism concept.

A open jeep ride through Pollachi and its surroundings such as Anaimalai, Top Slip, Parambikulam, Aaliyar dam, Monkey falls, road to vaalparai etc. Mr. Selva of Pollachi Jeep tourism enabled covering wide range of scenic spots within a short time. Very warm person and flexible in changing schedule based on customer preferences. I highly recommend this one if you plan to come to Pollachi.

It was worth taking an open Jeep ride thru' PJT. You get a different experience than when you travel in a closed vehicle. Road was really bad too, to take our own vehicle.... You can enjoy the nature, forest, hilly terrain, etc. but don't expect to see many animals. Selva from PJT has been very courteous, helpful in providing right information and guiding us for our whole trip. Strongly recommended to try out the Jeep Safari thru' PJT if you want to visit Parambikulam.

The roads to Parambikulam and Topslip are incredibly horrible. Getting to the top of the hill by yourself would be disastrous both for the driver and the vehicle. This is where Pollachi Jeep Tourism comes in. Mr Selva, who will be taking you uphill in his Jeep, is a very warm and friendly person. You can't experience the atmosphere and the scenery in a private vehicle the way you experience it in an open jeep. Highly recommended!

I would strongly recommend, the travellers to try once with this tourism to get a different approach of experiencing the nature and its stillness. The real nature lovers and environmentalist would definitely like the way it organizes the travel through the terrains. Thats how i experienced and i am at satisfied at its fullest, Good Luck!

Hi, we've visited pollachi last week. It was nice climate when we there. The most of happiness is that we travelled around pollachi with open jeep. I parked my car and went to this jeep safari(not in forest).It was very nice experience for my family. Even my kids wer enjoyed wel more than our car. Thanks Mr. Selva for your innovative concept. POLLACHI IS MOTHER OF NATURE I n ancient times Pollachi was known as ‘Pollil Vaichi’ which means “The land of natural Wealth and Prosperity” or ‘Porull Aatchi’ (The Land of Wealthy Government). In olden days it was said that everything is sold and bought in market including elephants in a form of barter system. During the period of Kulottunga Chola III , Pollachi was known as Mudi Konda Chola Nallur (Crowned King). The Subramanyar temple is one of the most ancient temple in Pollachi with a history of about 8 centuries back. You can also come across the name ‘Pollil Vaichi’ in Lord Subramanyar temple. It is also believed that this temple was once a Shiva temple, enshrining Agastheeswaram Udaiyaar, with the festival idol Subramanyar. A temple dedicated to Mariamman and another to Subramanya are located here. There are beautiful stone carvings like a five hooded serpent, a Yali with a chain from its mouth and carved zodiacal signs in the Subramanya temple. This town is about 40 Kms from Coimbatore on the way to Parambikulam - Aliyar Project. Next to Coimbatore it is the leading town of the district and an important commercial centre.
