For a group whose participants pay us individually, the participant payments are linked to their own account. When a school sends us fundraising, that check is disbursed to each person in a separate field, at designated increments given to us by the group leader. Multiple fundraising checks can be received and applied to participant accounts. A report can be generated to show the total of how much each person has received in fundraising at any given time. Participants really like to see the separation of funds in their account and on client invoices/statements, as do the group leaders for accounting purposes. It is also very easy to use.

Multi day tours at your core — An overwhelming majority of your tours or trips or itineraries are 2 or more days in length.

Packages not itemized services — Whether you contract directly with suppliers or through a partner DMC or inbound operator or are the DMC and inbound operator, your tours or trips or itineraries generally include accommodations together with a variety of other services and you do not itemize or breakdown your pricing by services.

Guest experience is job #1 — You may sell business to business (B2B) or business to consumer (B2C) and you may thrive on either or both repeat clients or referrals from clients, but your guests are going to experience something unique when they travel with you.

Yes, we tend to use the term “tour operator” or “packaged tour operator” to describe these businesses. For some the term “tour” conjure up images of a large motor coach or bus pulling up and unloading a large group who then follow a tour leader around while they hold up a flag. And the term “package” can evoke an all inclusive resort with flights. Whether you call it a tour or package or trip or cruise or itinerary or experience or program or seminar or course isn’t important. What is important is that as a multi day tour operator your needs are vastly different than operators who are exclusively or mostly selling single day tours and activities.
