Salt-N-Pepa, Vanilla Ice to Headline ‘I Love the ’90s’ Tour

By Brittany Spanos

Nineties hip-hop and R&B stars are coming together for a packed tour, as the inaugural “I Love the ’90s Tour” kicks off this April and runs through October.

Vanilla Ice , Coolio , Kid ‘N Play and Salt-N-Pepa are just a few of the acts set to play many of their Nineties hits on the tour. Other artists include Biz Markie , Color Me Badd, All-4-One, Rob Base, Tone Loc, Young MC and Kool Moe Dee, the latter recently appearing on Macklemore’s 2015 single “ Downtown .”

The trek technically kicked off with a few shows this spring, but popular demand has turned it into a nationwide trek. “It feels like you’re taking people back to a time in their lives that they really enjoyed,” Cheryl “Salt” James of Salt-N-Pepa explained to USA Today about the tour’s appeal. “It’s just one big Nineties party.”

The “I Love the ’90s Tour” falls in line with many other nostalgic throwbacks to past decades. In February, iHeartMedia hosted the iHeart80s Party in Los Angeles. Culture Club, Billy Idol, and Rick Springfield were among the acts to perform at the show. Last fall, a Nineties-themed festival hit Brooklyn with special guests Pauly Shore, Lisa Loeb and Naughty by Nature.

Salt-N-Pepa I Love the '90s

Ready for a huge dose of ’90s nostalgia?

Vanilla Ice , Salt-N-Pepa and Coolio, along with other popular ’90s staples, are joining the I Love the ’90s tour. The tour has already had several sold-out shows this spring. It will be kicked into full gear April 15 in Greenville, S.C., and will last through October.

The I Love the ’90s tour is part of the throwback trend of concerts in recent months, which includes the iHeart80s tour hosted by iHeartMedia in Los Angeles, featuring Billy Idol, Culture Club and Rick Springfield.

Cheryl “Salt” James told  USA Today  that the whole experience and the fan reactions have been “surprisingly amazing.”

“It feels like you’re taking people back to a time in their lives that they really enjoyed. It’s just one big ’90s party,” she said.

However, she says Salt-N-Pepa’s performance style has changed since they first started. It’s no longer about entertaining the crowd, but rather having a good time.

“We just have fun with the crowd and the crowd has fun with us,” James said.

2016 90s tour

You know the songs — “Wild Thing”… “Push It” … “I Wanna Sex You Up”… “Bust a Move” … “Ice Ice Baby” …and you know you love ’em! Admit it! Last Sunday night, the I Love the ’90s train stopped at Santa Barbara Bowl, where purveyors of some of that decade’s most contagious, infectious bubble-gum rap performed their 25-year-old hits to a rapt crowd. The resulting rap festival was the perfect Independence Day weekend sonic tonic.

Headliners Vanilla Ice and Salt ’N’ Pepa welcomed openers Young MC, Tone-Loc, and Color Me Badd on the mostly hip-hop bill (new jack swing leaders CMB notwithstanding). All five acts played their biggest hits to great effect (or, “in effect,” to be more precise.)

Culminating with “Bust a Move” (which memorably featured a funk-bass workout by Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers), Young MC added a new verse to his signature hit. The one-time Marvin Young actually co-wrote Tone-Loc’s two biggest chart-toppers — the KISS-lifting, staccato-beat “Funky Cold Medina” and the Van Halen guitar-sampling “Wild Thing” — both of which Tone-Loc performed. In a trend that started early in the three-hour program with Loc, audience members jumped onstage to get jiggy with it in a massive dance line. To paraphrase Loc, he’s from the ’80s so he’s down with the ladies. Alas, women hopped onstage to grind alongside the Los Angeles rapper for “Wild Thing.”

For a musical shift to R&B crooning, Color Me Badd serenaded the ladies with their mightiest hits — the slow jams “I Adore Mi Amor” and “I Wanna Sex You Up” — while throwing roses to females in the audience. The women seemingly ate it up, mouthing and savoring every lyric like expensive red wine. The Mark Calderon-and-Bryan Abrams-led trio (originally a quartet) also performed the bouncy “All 4 Love,” complete with choreography.

I Love the ’90s was not without its injustices, i.e., some of the artists’ cruelly short 15-minute sets. Tone-Loc’s breakthrough album, 1989’s Lōc-ed After Dark , had way more than just two big songs — lesser third single “I Got It Goin’ On,” the psychedelic “Cutting Rhythms,” the pot-smokin’ “Cheeba Cheeba,” and the drunken raunch of “The Homies” would’ve all translated as fun live. The laid-back, charismatic Loc (who even brought his two young sons onstage) certainly left the crowd wanting for more of his genial, gravel-voiced charms.

While opening acts Young MC, Tone-Loc, and CMB’s founding members looked a few pounds heavier than in their heydays, top-liners Vanilla Ice and Salt ‘N’ Pepa appeared frozen in time — fit, attractive, and seemingly undiminished. They were easily the evening’s highlights, especially the Queens-spawned all-female rap group. Even though Ice may have sold way more units of his monster 1990 album To The Extreme, Salt ’N’ Pepa had way more tunes as they “Pushed It” beyond the libidinous, seductive shuffle of their most popular song. With Spinderella wo-manning the wheels, the aerobic duo worked the crowd into a sweaty frenzy with “Let’s Talk About Sex,” “Shake Your Thang”, and “Shoop.” In an equal opportunity move, Salt ’N’ Pepa invited audience males to strut and flex onstage to “Whatta Man.” Salt teased the audience with her banter and Spinderella goosed the crowd with classics by other artists, including Run-DMC’s “It’s Tricky,” Guns ‘N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

Likewise, Vanilla Ice delivered a confident set after remarking that the Bowl was one of the most beautiful venues he’s ever played. “I can see the ocean from here,” he said, eliciting wild cheers. Despite his years being a cultural punchline (even on this night, he expertly dodged a cup of beer an audience member hurled at him) and years later resenting his early career, the rapper born Robert Van Winkle, having long ago traded in his tacky 1990 duds and skyscraping pompadour for a baseball cap and a golf shirt, projected an easy charm that went over well with the crowd. Backed by live percussionist Chopstick, the good-natured Florida resident and long-time reality show star opened strongly with “Hit ’Em Hard” and worked his way up to his inevitable mega-hits, the K.C. & the Sunshine Band-biting “Play That Funky Music” and the “Under Pressure”-sampling “Ice Ice Baby” — all on a Halloween-ghoulish stage akin to an Insane Clown Posse concert (peopled with guys dressed like Darth Vader and the Ghostbusters). Before performing some of his rave-ready EDM tracks, Ice welcomed scores of women onto the stage, although that quickly backfired they got grabby, pulling at his shirt and trying to hold his hand. Giving said girls the slip, Ice chuckled and quipped, “It’s like 1990 all over again!”

Ice even relaxed enough to laugh about his participation in 1991’s Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze and busted out “Ninja Rap” (“Go, Ninja, go Ninja, go!”). Under the warm, unifying umbrella of a Bob Marley song, Ice’s show dissolved into a crush of audience members approaching the stage for a handshake or a selfie with the once-monolithic Billboard charts fixture. Finally at peace with his past, Van Winkle extended “one love” to his Santa Barbara audience…and they loved him back.

Salt-N-Pepa

This set may require some love for the ’80s as well. These Grammy-winning hip-hop veterans rolled out of Queens in 1986 with a platinum debut called “Hot, Cool & Vicious,” conquering the mainstream with such hits as "Push It," "Expression," "Do You Want Me," "Let's Talk About Sex," "Shoop" and "Whatta Man," their collaboration with En Vogue. They picked up a Grammy for “None of Your Business” in 1995, two years before their latest album, “Brand New,” hit the streets. In 2010, they received a BET I Am Hip-Hop Icon Award. In addition to James, the trio includes Sandra "Pepa" Denton and Deidra "DJ Spinderella" Roper.

What have they been up to lately?

Salt-N-Pepa disbanded in 2002 but reunited four years later to perform “Whatta Man” with En Vogue at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors. The following year, “The Salt-N-Pepa Show,” a reality show, premiered on VH1 and ran for two seasons. In 2011, they went out on a package tour called Salt-N-Pepa’s Legends of Hip Hop with Whodini, Rob Base, Kurtis Blow, Doug E. Fresh and others. A year later, they shared a bill with Public Enemy in Brooklyn as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series. And in 2014, they appeared in a Geico commercial, doing “Push It.”

Vanilla Ice

Robert Matthew Van Winkle is best remembered in the mainstream for the “Under Pressure”-sampling “Ice Ice Baby,” which holds the distinction of being the first hip-hop single to top the Billboard Hot 100. A second single, “Play That Funky Music,” also hit the Top 5.

What has he been up to lately?

In 2009, “The Vanilla Ice Project,” a home-improvement reality show in which the rapper sets aside the rhymes to flex his mad skills as a handyman, premiered on the DIY Network. Season Six is airing now, with a DVD box set of the award-winning series’ first season due before the year is out. His latest album, “WTF — Wisdom, Tenacity & Focus,” hit the streets in 2011.

Kid ’N Play

They were known for their positive lyrics, pop sensibilities and one of hip-hop’s greatest hairdos — Christopher “Kid” Reid’s 10-inch hi-top fade. Kid and Christopher “Play” Martin rolled out of Queens in 1988 with a debut called “2 Hype” and followed with two more albums, topping the rap charts with the singles “Funhouse” and “Ain’t Gonna Hurt Nobody.” They invented a dance, the Funky Charleston, and had their own movie franchise — the “House Party” movies, two of which featured Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell, who went on to star in the TV sitcom “Martin.” They even had a Saturday morning cartoon, “Kid ‘N Play,” with an accompanying Marvel comic series.

In 2010, they appeared as themselves in an Adult Swim special called “Freaknik: The Musical.” In 2013, they returned to the “House Party” franchise after sitting out the fourth film in the series. A year later, they turned up in RadioShack’s "The 80s called" Super Bowl commercial.

This Compton rapper is best known for the triple-platinum Grammy-winning single "Gangsta's Paradise," built on a sample of the Stevie Wonder classic "Pastime Paradise." His other hits include the double-platinum "Fantastic Voyage," "Too Hot," "1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin' New)," "It's All the Way Live (Now)" and "C U When U Get There." He also rapped the theme songs for the late-‘90s Nickelodeon series, “Kenan & Kel.”

In 2008, the MuchMore network premiered a reality show titled “Coolio’s Rules,” which followed his life as entrepreneurial caterer looking for love while raising four kids on his own. It ran one season, followed a web-based spinoff called “Cookin’ With Coolio,” on which he has been known to refer to himself as “ghetto Martha Stewart” and “the black Rachael Ray.” He has published a cookbook and appeared in 2012 on the Food Network reality series “Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off,” placing second behind Lou Diamond Phillips. A year later, he turned up on ABC’s “Wife Swap.” His latest album, “From the Bottom 2 the Top,” was released in 2009.

“Loc-ed After Dark,” this L.A. rapper’s first release, went double platinum, topping Billboard’s album chart and spinning off two giant pop hits, the double-platinum “Wild Thing” and the platinum “Funky Cold Medina.” That was all it took to earn him a well-deserved Favorite New Dance Artist at 1990’s American Music Awards. He also earned a Best New Artist nomination at the Grammys but was robbed of the title when Milli Vanilli picked up the award they would later be forced to return when it was brought to light that they’re not really on their own damn album.

In 2003, he was a guest on Fefe Dobson’s "Rock It 'Til You Drop It" song. He’s also done voiceover work, including “Titan A.E.” and this year’s “Zootopia” and appeared as himself in the ‘80s spoof, “Totally Awesome.”

This English-born rapper is best known for the 1989 hit “Bust a Move,” an all-time hip-hop classic that hit No. 7 on the Hot 100. “Bust a Move” was featured on his debut album, “Stone Cold Rhymin’,” which had a second big crossover single in “Principal’s Office.” “Bust a Move” picked up a well-deserved Grammy for Best Rap Performance and was named the 47th greatest hip-hop song of all time in a VH1 poll.

In 2002, he released his sixth album, “Engage the Enzyme,” and appeared as a contestant on “Weakest Link — Rap Stars Edition,” which he won, of course, because he’s really smart. In 2003, he was cast in a VH1 reality show called “Celebrity Fit Club 3,” winning again. He moved to Scottsdale in 2007 and turned up two years later in the Jason Reitman film “Up in the Air,” memorably rapping “Bust a Move” at a software convention. His latest album, “Relentless,” hit the street in 2008.

All-4-One reveal details behind '90s tour: 'What's old becomes new again'

The R&B group behind mega-hit 'I Swear' gear up for this summer's nostalgic I Love The '90s run

Californian crooners All-4-One stormed the charts in 1994 with their hit single “I Swear.” The song — a cover of country singer John Michael Montgomery’s mild hit from 1993 — ruled the summer in ’94, spending 11 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. (It would’ve had the biggest streak of 1994, had Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love to You” not enjoyed 14 weeks atop the Hot 100 that fall.)

Now, All-4-One has plans to rule another summer, albeit in a different way: The group will appear on the I Love the ’90s Tour that kicks off Friday in Greenville, South Carolina and also includes Vanilla Ice, Salt-n-Pepa, Coolio, and more.

EW connected with one of the group’s singers, Jamie Jones, to get the scoop about what All-4-One has in store for the tour, why ’90s nostalgia is so hot right now, and how, exactly, an R&B group got convinced to cover a country tune in the first place. (Hint: It involves Whitney Houston.)

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What can fans expect from the tour? JAMIE JONES: A lot of fun. The thing I love about music is it always remembers. Music has such a cool way of attaching itself to your memories and emotions. When you hear a song, you can remember what you were doing, who you were with, what you were wearing, what the situation was the first time you heard it. The cool thing about these tours is that feeling of nostalgia, because time goes by so fast. You turn around [and] you’ve got kids, a house. When people come to the show, they leave a lot happier than they came because of that feeling of being able to go back when time was simpler.

What are you planning for your sets? When you’re in this type of show it’s what I call “hit it and quit it”: You come out with the hits, blast them, and people hopefully want more. But we might have something up our sleeves.

Why do you think ’90s nostalgia is so hot right now? Times are changing. It used to be that my parents, their music to me was old school. We were all interested in old school stuff, whether it was ’70s or ’60s or whatever the case is. Now our parents are grandparents and we’re the parents.

Our kids, when they see pictures of us, they see some of the trends that we were doing — and now you see folks doing them again. I walk around all the time and I see little cool kids with hightop fades like I had. They left and then they came back. I see a lot of — and I’m doing quotations with my hands — “Retro Jordans.” I remember when those joints came out — I had those! They weren’t retro, they were just new shoes. What’s old becomes new again.

Music and pop culture and all that stuff, it’s a circle, it’s always going round. Music and pop culture is something that you share that you pass on.

Tell me about the origins of “I Swear.” Our first album was completely done being mastered. Doug Morris, who was the president of our label Atlantic Records called us into his office and played us this country song [by John Michael Montgomery]. We listen to it and are like, “It’s a good song — what else do you want from us?” And he was like, “Well, I want you guys to record it.” And I was like, “You do know we are R&B right?” And he said he wanted us to work with David Foster, who did Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” I was the one who was most hesitant about it. I said “Our album’s in mastering. What are we going to do?” Morris said, “You let me worry about that.”

After we recorded it with David at his Malibu house, I thought to myself, “It’s a really good song!” And I’ll never forget [the response]: During our first gigs at Disneyland Grad Nites and I remember each week we thought, “Oh my God! We can’t believe it! Our song went number one today!” And then next weekend, “It’s been two weeks!” Then three weeks, four weeks. It just kept going. Eleven weeks later, we were still number one. We were shocked. It’s the type of success everyone hopes and prays for.

Can you tell me about your new 20th anniversary album Twenty+ ? It’s called Twenty+ because it has been about 23 years — we were just a little bit late getting the album together at the 20-year mark. We did 14 new songs and then reimagined the hits. We redid them because we’re at such different places as singers that we feel like we’re in our prime and sing so much better now than before. There’s some great All-4-One love ballads, but then there’s also some of those fun, feel good ’90s-inspired type records as well. We’re super excited and happy about it.

2016 90s tour

Time to love the ‘90s at Northern Quest

2016 90s tour

It’s not surprising that Americans look back fondly at the ‘90s. The Soviet Union collapsed just as an array of bands from Seattle were part of a movement which changed the course of pop music and pop culture. The internet emerged, cellphones became more accessible and Amazon and Google got their starts.

It was an era of good times, so it’s no wonder the tour featuring Vanilla Ice, Color Me Badd, Montell Jordan, Mark McGrath, All-4-One, Coolio and Rob Base, which stops Wednesday at Northern Quest Resort & Casino, is dubbed the “I Love the ’90s” tour.

“The ’90s were a great time to be alive,” Color Me Badd vocalist Mark Calderon said while calling from Aurora, Illinois. “It was a great time to be making music.”

Part of the reason the ’90s was an amazing time for recording artists was due to the support musicians received from an industry and fans actually bought music.

“There was development,” Calderon said. “Labels actually worked to break bands and artist’s benefited from the chances they had.” Color Me Badd, an R&B act who hit the charts with such ballads as “I Adore Mi Amor” and “All 4 Love,” took advantage of some cool opportunities. The group was tabbed to appear as themselves on an episode of the popular drama “Beverly Hills 90210 where they performed “I Adore Mi Amor.”

“We weren’t actors but they made the show around us,” Calderon said. “That show was the most watched ‘90210’ to that point. It was amazing and we got to meet Luke Perry on the set and he was the nicest guy.”

Color Me Badd scored more than a photo op with the late Perry. “We literally sold more than a million CDs the next day after being on ‘90210,’ ” Calderon said. “That blew us away.” Color Me Badd isn’t selling millions anymore. No one is, really except for huge acts like Adele, but the act, which formed in Oklahoma City in 1985, is on the “I Love the ’90s” tour.

“There is no place I would rather be,” Calderon said. “Everyone on this tour is in their groove. We’ve all gotten a little older but we all love what we do. We’re like a family. What’s really cool is that I knew all of these recording artists back in the day but couldn’t see them perform until now. I’m close with Vanilla Ice, Mark McGrath, Coolio, Rob Base, All-4-One and Montell Jordan. We’ve been all doing this on the ‘I Love the ’90s’ tour since 2016.”

That’s when the aforementioned Jordan unretired from music. The R&B star, who created the party anthem “This Is How We Do It,” reflects on the ’90s. “These are my bros on this tour,” Jordan said while calling from Atlanta. “I can’t believe how much fun we’re having. We’re all from the ‘90s, which was a great decade. There was so much energy and so many great songs from that period.”

The eloquent Jordan enjoyed success after “This Is How We Do It,” which was number 1 on the Billboard charts for seven weeks, cooled. “Somethin’ 4 da Honeyz,” “Let’s Ride,” and “Get It On Tonite” each hit the Billboard Top 40. However, Jordan was called to the ministry in 2011.

“I received the calling, which led to my retirement, which really became a hiatus,” Jordan said. “I was called to serve God. I’m a guy who loves God. I realized that I have a ministry that doesn’t have to take place in church. I am the church and I’m in a good space. I’m fortunate to have one of the top party records of the last century. It’s so cool to hear people singing the words to my songs.”

Calderon feels the same way. “I look out at the audience and it blows me away when fans sing along but when I see these guys sing their songs I can’t help but sing along as well. It’s a ‘90s thing. It’s about the songs. It’s why we love it.”

Martin Lawrence bringing first comedy tour in 8 years to OKC: Here's when to get tickets

2016 90s tour

Comedic actor Martin Lawrence will follow up the theatrical debut of his new movie "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" with his first standup tour since 2016.

Lawrence's “Y’all Know What It Is!” arena tour will launch July 20 at Gila River Casino in Chandler, Arizona, and travel across the country through April 5, 2025, at Simmons Bank Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The 40-city comedy tour will make an Oklahoma City stop Nov. 16 at Paycom Center.

When is the new Martin Lawrence and Will Smith 'Bad Boys' movie coming to theaters?

Lawrence's first headlining arena tour in eight years will follow closely on the June 7 theatrical bow of "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," the fourth installment of his blockbuster buddy-cop film franchise co-starring Will Smith.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

“Y’all Know What It Is!” is billed as a fresh one-hour set where the longtime comedian "brings the real talk and finds the funny in everything from family to culture as only he can."

Special guests for the trek have been personally hand-picked by Lawrence, according to a news release. Deon Cole and Benji Brown are the on bill for the OKC show.

“Comedy gives me that instant gratification,” Lawrence said in a statement. “Seeing the fans up close and in person, making people laugh, doing what I love most, this is what it’s all about for me. But hey … y’all know what it is!”

Lawrence launched his comedy career in New York City at the Improv Comedy Club. His breakthrough film role came courtesy of Spike Lee in the cinematic classic "Do The Right Thing!" Other film roles followed, including "House Party" and "Boomerang." He soon captured the attention of mega producer Russell Simmons who tapped Lawrence to host the groundbreaking HBO series Def Comedy Jam.

In 1992, Lawrence landed his own hit television series "Martin," co-starring Oklahoma City native Tisha Campbell . A ratings juggernaut, it elevated Fox to a major contender against network television stations.

Following the finale of his self-titled comedy series, Lawrence went on to star in a string of top-grossing films, including "Life," "Big Momma’s House" and the "Bad Boys" franchise.

When do tickets go on sale for Martin Lawrence's OKC show?

Tickets for Lawrence's OKC show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 17 through AXS .

Explained: Champions League final tickets – who gets them and how much do they cost?

Explained: Champions League final tickets – who gets them and how much do they cost?

Real Madrid will play Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final at Wembley on June 1.

This will be Dortmund’s first Champions League final since 2013, when they lost to Bayern Munich in the decider, which was also staged at Wembley. The German club’s only success in the competition came when they defeated Juventus in the 1997 final.

Real Madrid are hopeful of being crowned champions of Europe for a 15th time, and securing their sixth title in the last decade, having won the 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022 editions of the tournament.

Focus is now on this year’s final, with tickets set to be in high demand.

How many tickets are available?

Wembley Stadium has a capacity of 90,000 but UEFA, European football’s governing body who are in charge of the Champions League final, will be distributing 86,600 tickets.

As is often the case with finals, the tickets are going to be split between clubs, the general public and commercial partners.

How are they distributed between Dortmund and Real Madrid?

60,000 of those tickets will be distributed to fans and the general public to purchase. Both Dortmund and Real Madrid supporters will receive 25,000 tickets each, while the remaining tickets have been offered for sale to fans worldwide via a ballot.

Dortmund season ticket holders and adult club members whose membership commenced before January 1, 2024 are able to purchase a maximum of two tickets each.

Real Madrid are yet to release details on how they plan on distributing their allocation.

What happens to the remaining tickets?

With 60,000 tickets distributed to fans and the general public, 26,600 tickets are not available to the public.

UEFA has described this allocation as going to “the local organising structure, UEFA’s member national associations, commercial partners, broadcasters and UEFA.”

What will the tickets cost?

UEFA operates a system of categories, whereby tickets in different areas of the stadium cost different amounts.

The ‘Fans First’ category is designated to those who are supporters of the two teams. These are priced at £60 each. There is a significant price jump to ‘Category 3’ which is priced at £160, while ‘Category 2’ tickets are more than double that of the section below, costing £430. The most expensive tickets, meanwhile, are ‘Category 1’ tickets, and these mount to £610.

If supporters are unsuccessful in the general sale, there is a high chance that tickets will become available via third-party websites. These, however, will cost a lot more than face value, with prices expected to run into the thousands.

Accessibility tickets for disabled spectators cost £60. All tickets are priced at the ‘Fans First’ rate and come with one complimentary companion ticket.

It is not made clear by UEFA what proportion of the tickets are at which of the price points.

How much is travel to London likely to cost?

At the time of writing, for Dortmund supporters the cheapest way to travel to London would cost £246 for a return flight from May 31 to June 2, and this would get you from Dortmund Airport to London Luton. However, the overall flight time would take five hours due to a stop-off at Gdansk Airport, Poland.

There are also four flights on May 31 from the city of Cologne, which is just over an hour from Dortmund on the train. The price of these flights range from £156 to £287, while there are two flights back from London to Cologne on June 2, but these are priced at £400 and £405.

Cologne also provides a Eurostar train link to London St. Pancras train station, with prices on May 31 starting at £226, although there are no return tickets available on June 2 with prices on June 3 starting at £218.

For fans of Real Madrid, the cheapest direct flight from Madrid to London on May 31 is £279. However, a ticket can be bought at £169 that would take over nine hours due to a stop-off at Oslo Airport, Norway.

The cheapest direct flight from London to Madrid on June 2 is £339, although there are multiple non-direct options to return to the Spanish capital for prices starting at £81.

There are also alternative flights from Barcelona, Valencia and Seville that travel directly to London on these dates.

The 2024 tour for legendary composer Hans Zimmer is well underway, but tickets for his international and United States concerts this year are still available. While seats are going quickly to see one of his ongoing orchestral concerts, there are a few ways to buy Hans Zimmer tickets for his remaining shows this year.

The German-American composer is best known for his award-winning film scores, having composed well over 150 throughout the past four decades. Movies he's scored for include "Interstellar," "Gladiator," the "Pirates of the Caribbean" film series, "The Lion King," Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy, and "No Time to Die." More recently, Hans Zimmer provided the score for Denis Velleneuve's hit 2024 movie "Dune: Part Two." So far, Zimmer has won three Oscars and four Grammy awards for his work.

Hans Zimmer Live 2024 is the sixth official touring production in which the famous composer performs live onstage. The European leg of the concert series has already been completed for this year. After a few more shows in the Middle East, Hans Zimmer is bringing his world tour to North America this fall. The production has 17 concerts lined up for the tour's North American leg, which kicks off on September 6.

We've got you covered if you're looking for how to get tickets to Hans Zimmer Live 2024. Here's our breakdown of Hans Zimmer's tour schedule, purchasing details, and original and resale ticket price comparisons. Of course, you can also browse ticket and concert specifics on StubHub and Vivid Seats .

Hans Zimmer has 17 shows confirmed for the North American portion of his 2024 tour, taking him across just as many cities in the United States and Canada. The composer's first US show in 2024 will be in Duluth, Georgia on September 6, with this leg coming to a close on October 6 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. For a fun surprise, Zimmer's New York City performance on September 12 is also on his birthday.

All concert times are listed in local time zones.

How to buy tickets for Hans Zimmer 2024 concert tour

You can buy standard original tickets for Hans Zimmer Live 2024 on Ticketmaster. Since tickets for his North American concert dates have been on sale since March, the amount of original tickets remaining is limited. Many of the remaining original seats are platinum instead of standard admission tickets; you may find better luck with seating variety and availability on verified ticket resale sites.

Tickets for Hans Zimmer's 2024 concert tour can be purchased through verified resale vendors such as StubHub and Vivid Seats . These sites offer plenty of seating locations for Hans Zimmer's upcoming shows.

How much are Hans Zimmer tickets?

Frankly, tickets are fairly expensive to see Hans Zimmer Live for his 2024 US concerts, though prices vary depending on the date, location, and demand for each show. On Ticketmaster, the least expensive standard original tickets start at $105 for Zimmer's Raleigh, NC show on September 10. Standard tickets for Hans Zimmer Live on verified resale sites are generally comparable to or less expensive than original ticket prices.

On StubHub , the cheapest available tickets for Hans Zimmer's 2024 tour range from $97 for his Raleigh, NC, show on September 10 to $394 for his performance in Las Vegas, NV, on September 29. Vivid Seats has similar prices for this year's Hans Zimmer Live shows, with the least expensive tickets going from $90 to $393 for the same concert dates. However, tickets for most Hans Zimmer concert dates on these sites begin between $100 and $200.

Hans Zimmer Live 2024 also offers a few VIP packages for some of his concert dates, though most original VIP tickets have already been sold out. The options include the Diamond VIP Package, Ruby VIP Package, Emerald VIP Package, and Sapphire VIP Package, the latter of which starts at $275. Check out full details of what each Hans Zimmer Live VIP package entails on Ticketmaster .

Who is opening for Hans Zimmer's tour?

So far, no opening acts are scheduled for Hans Zimmer's 2024 concert tour.

Rather, the performers will be Hans Zimmer himself, his 20-piece band, "The Disruptive Collective," and the Odessa Orchestra & Friends and Choir on stage throughout the night.

Hans Zimmer Live 2024 has already completed its European leg, and the tour is currently finishing its stint in the Middle East. Before he comes to the United States, Zimmer's tour will perform two shows in Dubai on May 31 and June 1. Following his tour in North America, Zimmer also has a show lined up in Dortmund, Germany, on November 1 —a n extension of his The World of Hans Zimmer 2024 - A New Dimension concert series.

Three international dates for Hans Zimmer Live 2024's North American leg are also confirmed. The composer will play three shows in Canada: Montreal on September 17; Toronto on September 19; and Vancouver, British Columbia, on October 6, 2024.
