The main, southbound Bali and Singapore cruise from Singapore to Bali, Indonesia, begins with an overnight in Singapore, then embarks and cruises along remote Indonesian islands before disembarking in Bali, Indonesia.

This morning, check out of the hotel and set off to explore this landmark city-state. Cosmopolitan Singapore, a former British colony, has transformed itself into one of the world’s leading and most innovative commercial centers. Also see the ultra-modern along the skyline of high rises and in the whimsical creations of the Gardens by the Bay. Singapore is truly a melting pot of culture, style and cuisine. The first stop is in the remote Anambas Archipelago, to snorkel the unspoiled reefs surrounding Pulau Lintang. Search for colorful giant clams and cardinalfish that make these waters their home. The island is private, so enjoy exclusive access to walk the beach, dive, snorkel, or choose to explore by glass-bottom Zodiac.

The remote Badas Islands offer excellent beaches and corals. These rarely visited islands offer an abundant array of marine life. Watch clownfish darting between anemones and with luck, a beautiful royal blue tang might make this idyllic story complete! Explore above and beneath the sea via stand-up paddleboard, snorkeling and beachcombing.

Located off the coast of Sumatra, Belitung is part of the relatively unknown Bangka-Belitung sister islands. Spend the morning cruising the pristine waters, the ship weaving her way through the smaller islands and clusters of granite formations that dot the coastline, looking for the perfect quiet cove to stop in for kayaking and snorkeling. Ashore have the opportunity to meet the locals and witness the blending of the Sumatran, Malay and Bugis cultures—Malay homes on stilts; Bugis fishing villages; Sumatran coffee houses, popular gathering spots for all. The Dutch tin mines and the promise of work brought many families to Belitung—the mines may be gone, but the joining together of traditions remain.

One of the world’s most beautiful and powerful volcanoes, Krakatoa or Krakatau, was known worldwide after the explosive eruption in 1883. Ash from the massive event circled the earth for years. Along the Pacific Ring of Fire, new volcanoes have formed beneath Krakatoa’s caldera–Anak Krakatau, or “Child of Krakatau,” is the most active. Go ashore to explore the black sand beach and lush jungle that rises up to the volcano. Cruise to Legon Cabe, Big Krakatau, and snorkel in the dazzling reefs that surround the island. The following day spend time on deck with the team of naturalists, listen to compelling presentations in the lounge, or enjoy one of the many onboard amenities as the ship travels down the coast of Java.

A UNESCO World Heritage site, this massive complex sits perched on a hill, with bell-shaped stupas housing statues of Buddha seeming to rise from the jungle around it. Stone reliefs carved in exquisite detail line the base of the temple, depicting everyday life and the path to enlightenment. Spend the full day exploring this spectacular site.

A breathtaking chain of coral fringed islands, Kerimun Jawa Archipelago sits off the coast of central Java. Designated a Natural Reserve, the marine park protects the biodiversity of the lush mangrove forests teeming with birdlife, 11 species of sea grass, and extensive coral reefs, home to over 400 species of fish. Observe life in the mangroves while trekking deep into the forest on raised footpaths, ever watchful for black-tailed monkeys and red breasted parakeets. Kayak along the sea grass in water so clear it’s easy to see the fish and  coral below. A true island paradise.

Pulau Bawean is a small jewel in the Java sea. Travel past the beautifully terraced rice paddies while heading to the center of the island and Lake Kastoba. According to ancient lore, a swim in these pristine waters will keep you forever young. Curious monkeys and a variety of birds make their home in the surrounding jungle. Local villagers eagerly share their traditional music and dance.

Javanese for “deer,” Menjangan Island is named after the rare rusa deer who swim to the island during the spring. This secluded  paradise is part of the West Bali Barat National Park, located in the northwest tip of Bali. Teeming with untouched beauty both above and below the water, explore the island on foot, keeping an eye out for deer while wandering through the ancient white stone temple – Pura Segara Gili Kencana; snorkel amongst the brightly colored coral fans; or glide through the clear water on a stand-up paddleboard.

Disembarkation is after breakfast on Day 12 of the outlined itinerary; departure times may vary depending on return group flights. Whether you are looking for light activity options or more challenging outdoor pursuits, the ship’s crew can tailor most any expedition to suit your skill level. Adventure activities may include snorkeling, diving (included), kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, inflatable boat/skiff and glass-bottom boat excursions, cultural visits, land treks and wildlife observation.

Room Configuration

In addition to listed Solo cabin rates, select double-occupancy cabins may be available for single occupancy with a single supplement fee. If you would like to share accommodations with another guest of the same gender, we will be happy to try to accommodate you in select cabin categories. Children under the age of 18 are eligible for $500 off the double occupancy rate. Skilled staff members trained with National Geographic Education organize activities that inspire curiosity in young people of all ages. Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1: arrival bali – candle light dinner.

The first day is the traveling day of the tour. Board from any metro city, Mumbai/Delhi/Bangalore and land to the beautiful Bali Island. After arrival, you will be welcomed by our guide in Bali’s traditional style. Now, tighten your seat belts as we will be progressing to our pre-booked hotel. The first day is the rest day, so explore the hotel and get yourself a sound sleep on Bali Island.

DAY 2: Full Day Kintamani & Ubud Tour + Lunch

On day 2, we will be visiting various beautiful places on Bali Island. Starting with Gunung Kawi – a Balinese pilgrimage. Gunung Kawi is the place known for its bathing pools and holy springs. Gunung Kawi is followed by Kintamani. From Kintamani, we can experience various magnificent places such as the semi-active volcano, enigmatic Mount Batur over Batur Lake, Paddy Rice fields, Rich farm fields, Balinese Handicrafts, etc. Also, we will be traverse places like Ubud traditional market and Goa Gajah in the evening half of day 2. Make the best of the beautiful day.

DAY 3: Hrs Spa Treatment – Sunset Dinner Cruise

After having breakfast get ready for Bali’s famous 2 hours “Spa Treatment” Having a spa is a perfect way to indulge in holiday pleasure; you will be taken for most comfortable & luxurious spa center for rejuvenating body & soul. How Much Does a Singapore and Bali Trip Cost?

If you want to explore the main highlights of Singapore and Bali, 10 to 14 days are suggested — 4–6 days in Singapore and 7–9 days in Bali.

Four days is enough to see the best of Singapore , covering its skyscrapers, exquisite parks and gardens, street culture, and food hunting.

If you are traveling with children, you can add one or two days for a more relaxed pace and some kids' activities, like Universal Studios.

7 to 9 days is a good length of stay for visiting the highlights of Bali — beaches, temples, jungle exploration, and some cultural experiences.

If you want to explore its nearby islands like Java or you want to have more special experiences like a turtle release tour, master class in silver-working, volcano hiking, or diving, you may need 10–15 days.

A 2-Week Itinerary Suggestion for Couples

For couples, Bali is usually the main focus. So, spend 7–9 days in Bali and 3–4 days in Singapore.

Days 1–3: Singapore

Food, urban culture, and cityscapes are the highlights of Singapore. Three days in Singapore can be built around these highlights.

A Sample 2-Week Itinerary for Families

Singapore is a family-friendly destination and has many activities for kids, like Universal Studios and aquariums.

Stay in Singapore for 5–6 days: a slower pace would be more relaxing, especially with young children. Then spend another 7–8 days on Bali.

Days 1–6: Singapore

• Day 1: Arrive and enjoy a Singapore night view from a rooftop bar.
• Day 2: Explore Singapore's melting pot of national cultures by visiting three outstanding ethnic enclaves: Chinatown, Kampong Glam, and Little India. There you would meet and immerse yourself in a vibrant blend of all kinds of shops, food courts, and distinctive urban quarters.
• Day 3: Hawker food hunting . Explore community dining in multicultural urban contexts throughout Singapore.
• Day 4: Find Singapore's street art . Discover Kampong Glam, a trendy street lined with chic cafés and shops for handmade perfumes, colored textiles...
• Day 5: Pulau Ubin Island exploration. Board a wooden bumboat to get to the island and enjoy a quiet time biking and enjoying the wildlife with your kids.
• Day 6: Go to Sentosa Island, where you can find one of the world's largest aquariums . Let your children play with some of the cute marine creatures.

Days 7–13: Bali

Spend 3–4 days to explore Ubud in central Bali, where there is jungle fun for kids nearby. It is also a good place to learn about Bali's culture and tradition.

Visit Monkey Forest to see hundreds of macaque monkeys and observe them with your kids. If your children like adventurous activities, experience whitewater rafting. You could also bring your kids to visit a Brahman family to learn about local life and culture.

In the evening, you could go to a night market with your children and taste the local food.

For a special experience for your kids, we recommend a turtle release tour at Saba Beach . This can be both meaningful and fun for children.

Spend another 3 or 4 days exploring Bali's southern beaches, enjoying family beach time with various activities for kids like swimming and surfing.

A traditional Kecak dance staged at ocean-side Uluwatu Temple cannot be missed.

A Singapore and Bali private tour costs around US$200–250 per day per person , including air fare between Bali and Singapore, 4- or 5-star hotel, lunch, attractions, guide and transfers. Kids under 10 get 30 to 50 percent off .

For a private family trip with two adults and two kids, the cost of a 2-week holiday combining Bali and Singapore would be about 10,000 to 12,000 USD. International airfares are not included.

For a couple's trip, it may cost about 5,500 USD to 7,000 USD for 2 weeks. Traveling in a bigger group or during shoulder season usually means less cost.

Airfares are always the biggest slice of your travel costs. Your international airfare typically ranges between US$500 and US$1,000 each way from/to America and Europe. Additionally, the flight between Singapore and Bali is much cheaper, costing from USD 150 for economy class at peak season.

Dining is fairly affordable as well. Paying US$20 per person is enough for a quality meal.

Singapore and Bali share similar weather. For drier weather, the best time to visit both countries is April to September .

October to March is Bali's rainy season. Sometimes, water activities or island hopping are not available due to strong waves and changeable weather at sea.

However, your trip is less affected most of the time for short-lived afternoon downpours. 

Flying is the easiest and most convenient way to travel between Singapore and Bali.

You can fly into Bali Denpasar International Airport from Singapore's Changi Airport in just 2 hours and 45 minutes. With several flights a day, you'll easily find a flight based on your schedule.

Some people might consider traveling by ferry between Singapore and Bali, but we don't recommend it. Direct ferries are not available, so you would have to transit 2–3 times. Arranging the transits between harbors is time-consuming and troublesome, especially when carrying your luggage and changing tickets.

It probably helps that Guilin is a brilliant place to visit so Lele has great material to work with but that doesn't take anything away from how much Lele helped make it a great trip.

Our China Highlight guide. Michael, was attentive, thoughtful and knowledgeable. He narrated many interesting historical events about Chengdu while touring around the city and having afternoon tea with us. He was thoughtful to provide us with snacks during long hikes at Leshan or walks around the city.

Of course, taxis are very common in Singapore, but only stop at designated stands to drop you off once you’re in the city to curb traffic and make the drop-off process smoother for the city. Singapore doesn’t host ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft currently. The city’s trishaws are mostly a tourist activity now, so be careful not to pay too much for one. 

What are the local currency and tipping customs?

The official currency of Singapore is the Singaporean dollar (S$). Tipping isn’t common practice in Singapore, and credit cards are considered the norm here. You can find currency exchange at banks and conveniently at the cruise port, called the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore.
