The Boyne River Tourist Park is located on the Bruce Highway about 125 kilometres south of Rockhampton in Queensland (only about 35 kilometres from Gladstone). This is a nice looking park with tropical gardens and a row of palm trees along the perimeter to reduce the impact of the highway.

They operate a pet friendly park on the banks of the Boyne River offering a range of facilities:

• two bedroom en-suite cabins
• studio en-suite cabins
• tent, caravan and RV sites
• swimming pool
• small boat access to the river 
• recreation room with pool table and table tennis
• barbeques available for guests 

Permanent sites are available and you can relax fishing on the banks of the Boyne river. Of course the beautiful Lake Awoonga is only a short drive away and is the perfect place to fish for barramundi. Boyne River Tourist Park is only a short drive to the ocean and therefore the ideal spot for the avid fisher person - lake, river and ocean fishing.

The Boyne River Tourist Park is situated on the Bruce Highway at Benaraby. The park has 134 sites of which 70 are tourist. The amenities are very good and the park is a popular stop over place. Some traffic noise will be experienced as the park is on the Bruce Highway. Your hosts are Rex and Denise Davis. Boyne River Tourist Park is a permanent / tourist park located 20km South of Gladstone in Benaraby, Queensland. DHP Benaraby is a massive 20 acres in total with over 12 acres of grassy slopes leading to the Boyne River. the park is currently configured for approximately 40 permanent residents, 40 powered tourist sites, 8 en-suite sites and 10 tourist cabins. The park offers good facilities including a new camp kitchen which is very popular among guests. There is also a unheated pool and BBQ area located in a shady palm-lined setting near the jumping pillow. Fishing enthusiasts are well catered for with boat ramps provided at Boyne Island, Tannum Sands, Calliope River and the Narrows. Choice mud crabs are harvested from the rivers and estuaries during the summer months and prawns are caught offshore.

Sood to be built is a 3 hole chip and putt golf course and you’re just minutes away from the best barramundi fishing with no closed season or maximum size limit. Under the Big 4 Holiday Parks banner, hosts John & Cathy pride themselves on providing clean and friendly surroundings with helpful advice on the many exciting regional activities. Great Tourist Park! I’ve stayed here overnight on a couple of occasions. The camp sites are right on the river and the ensuites are a short walk away. Amenities are clean and spacious. Staff are friendly and accommodating. I will be back to stay again
