   reicht die Angebotspalette. Sie müssen keine Kühe melken und auch keine Avocados pflücken!

Darf ich mich vorstellen?

Ich bin in Deutschland aufgewachsen, habe studiert und lebe seit 30 Jahre in Israel. 

Ich habe drei Kinder, einen Ehemann und eine bunte Großfamilie, die einen typischen Mikrokosmos dieses Landes darstellt!

Mein Studium als lizenzierte Reiseleiterin habe ich bei der Universität Haifa abgelegt. Die Prüfung wurden von dem Israelischen Ministerium für Tourismus abgenommen.

4000 Jahre Geschichte einer Stadt!

Bei dieser Tour erleben wir die vielen Kulturen und Religionen, die sich auf der kleinen Fläche von einem Quadratkilometer begegnen. Die Altstadttour zeigt klassische Stätten. Wir werfen einen Blick auf den Tempelberg und durchstreifen alle vier Viertel . Es wird auch das entdeckt, was sonst nicht gezeigt wird. Eine ausführliche Einführung in die wechselhafte Geschichte am Beginn der Tour gibt ein besseres Verständnis für die Orte, die wir besuchen werden.

3 RELIGIONEN UND 1 HEILIGE STADT

Hier wird auf engstem Raum (1qkm)  gebetet, gefeiert, gefastet und einfach nur gelebt.

Bei der Tour geht es um die Suche von Gemeinsamkeiten und das Verstehen der Andersartigkeit der Religionen. Warum ist Jerusalem für drei Weltreligionen so wichtig? Wir werden die wichtigsten religiösen Stätten besuchen und einen Teil der Via Dolorosa entlang gehen.

Bei der interreligiösen Führung geht es  "kreuz und quer" durch die Altstadt  und wir entdecken gemeinsam die unterschiedlichen religiösen Zeugnisse dieser besonderen Stadt.

ARCHÄOLOGIE UND GEGENWART

"in jerusalem hat jeder stein eine geschichte".

Wohl in keinem anderen Land der Welt gibt es ein so engmaschiges Netz von Ausgrabungen wie in Israel. Diese ermöglichen ein neues Verständnis der Bibeltexte und bringen uns das Leben in der Antike näher.

Nach einer atemberaubenden Aussicht auf den Tempelberg geht es zur Klagemauer. Von dort zu den Ausgrabungen der Davidstadt, der Keimzelle Jerusalems! Für Abenteurer geht es durch den Wassertunnel von König Hiskia. Danach erwartet uns das Kidrontal mit dem Garten Gethsemane, bevor es zurück in die Altstadt geht, entlang der Via Dolorosa zur Grabeskirche und über die alten Märkte und engen Gassen. Selbstverständlich zeige ich Ihnen auch die versteckten Oasen der Altstadt!

JESUS IN JERUSALEM

Keine Zeitspanne wird in den vier Evangelien detaillierter beschrieben als die letzten Tage im Leben Jesu, in denen er gefangen genommen, vor Gericht gestellt und wie ein gewöhnlicher Krimineller gekreuzigt wurde. Es ist der Ort seines Leidens und der Auferstehung, der Himmelfahrt und der Geistsendung.

Wir besuchen traditionelle Stätten des Wirkens Jesu, lernen unterschiedliche christliche  Traditionen kennen und versuchen Jesus in seiner Zeit zu verstehen.

ALTSTADT - NEUSTADT.  EINE ZEITREISE DURCH JERUSALEM

Jerusalems Leben spielte sich für Jahrhunderte auf kleinsten Raum ab. Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts begann sich die Neustadt rasant zu entwickeln. Heute ist Jerusalem nicht nur eine Stadt mit orientalisch engen Gassen, alten Gemäuern und Ausgrabungen. Es ist auch eine moderne Metropole mit ihren vielen Gesichtern. Wir entdecken die wichtigsten Orte in der Altstadt. Danach besuchen wir ein orthodoxes Viertel und den belebten Gemüsemarkt Mahane Yehuda. Hier treffen sich Hipster, Politiker und alle anderen.

Wir begegnen antiker Geschichte, Neo-Architektur, Baumeistern, Archäologen, Utopisten, Realisten... und vielen Religionen. Auch der kulinarische Genuss kommt nicht zu kurz, es gibt Koscher in köstlich und die ganze kulinarische Vielfalt des kleinen Landes.

JUDENTUM FÜR CHRISTEN

Gibt es den Begriff  Ultra-Orthodox in der hebräischen Sprache? Wer ist säkular und wer national religiös? Warum tragen manche eine gehäkelte Kappe (Kipa)  auf dem Kopf und andere eine aus Samt. Haredim und Chassidim. Was bedeuten die kleinen Fäden (Tzizit)? Wer ist wer? Gebetsmantel und Gebetsriemen? Hut, Tuch oder Perücke? Schläfenlocken und Bart. Was passiert in einer Synagoge? Briefe an Gott und jüdische Bräuche. Die Bedeutung des Tempelberges im Judentum und die Frage, warum man die Westmauer, Klagemauer nennt. 4000 Jahre jüdische

Geschichte und mehr!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen und gelungenen Tag mit Gavriella und können eine Tour mit ihr nur empfehlen! Gavriella hat uns auf eine sehr tolle persönliche Art durch die Altstadt von Jerusalem geführt. Es war für alle Sinne etwas dabei - egal ob, singen in der Zisterne, Kaffee in der Erlöserkirche, Geschichte unter Dattelbäumen oder der weite Blick über die Dächer der Stadt. Super waren auch die vielen "Insider"-Plätze, die wir alleine nie gefunden hätten. Ganz besonders hat mich beeindruckt, wie Gavriella sich für die - ihr bekannten - Plätze und Menschen begeistert und jedes neue Detail aufsaugt. Diese Stimmung steckt an und macht viel Spaß!

Es ist zwar schon einige Wochen her, doch bei dem Gedanken an unsere Tage in Jerusalem läuft mir immernoch ein warmer Schauer über den Rücken. Gavriella ist ein wundervoller Guide. Sie nimmt einen wirklich mit und so erlebten auch unsere Kinder den Zauber von Jerusalem. Ich kann eine Tour mit Gavriella nur empfehlen - it's a must! Danke Gavriella und bis hoffentlich ganz bald!

Die beste Tour, die ich je hatte!

Gavriella hat meine Mutter und mich durch Jerusalems Altstadt geführt und konnte neben unglaublich vielen interessanten Infos vor allem auch mit Sympathie punkten! Die Tour führte uns nicht nur zu den typischen Anlaufstellen, sondern auch zu vielen Orten, die wir alleine einfach übersehen hätten. So konnte sie uns zB das Grab der Frau zeigen, von der der Spruch auf dem Ehering meiner Mutter war.

Die Tour war individuell auf unsere Wünsche abgestimmt und ermöglichte uns einen ganz besonders tollen Einblick in Jerusalems Geschichte.

Es war einfach fantastisch. Wer Jerusalem richtig entdecken will, der macht die Tour mit Gavriella. Durch enge Gassen, auf Dächern, unter dem Boden, in Wasserbecken, in Gräber, auf Plateaus...wir haben nichts ausgelassen. Trotzdem ist Zeit für Kaffee, Falafel, Verhandlungen beim Shopping, andächtiges Lauschen von Gebetsgesängen.... es war ein unglaublicher Tag!! Vielen Dank!!!Absolut zu empfehlen.

In Tel Aviv biete ich kürzere Touren bis max. 5 Std. Dauer oder Tagestouren an. Wir können die Stadt zu Fuss, mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln, Taxis oder einer Mischung aus allem erkunden. Falls Sie sich Stadtverkehr per Fahrrad zutrauen ist dieses sicher die schönste Variante.

In Jerusalem können Sie zwischen Stadtwanderungen wählen, die sich nur auf die Altstadt konzentrieren oder Touren, die auch den Ölberg einschließen, allerdings physisch anspruchsvoller sind, ca. 9 km. Jedoch können wir dies auch mit einem Fahrzeug machen und mit Besichtigungspunkten innerhalb und ausserhalb der Altstadt oder sogar einem Ausflug nach Bethlehem verbinden

Für Tagestouren mit Fahrzeug   richtet sich der Preis nach der Anzahl der aufeinanderfolgende Tourtage und gefahrenen Kilometer, sowie nach der Grösse des Fahrzeuges.

⬤ Day 1. Sunday.   Arrival  

Arrival to Tel Aviv International Airport. A Noah Tours representative will meet you after passport control and accompany you to your transfer to your hotel.

⬤ Day 2. Monday.   Jaffa – Caesarea – Haifa – Nazareth – Galilee

After breakfast drive through Jaffa, an ancient port city and the oldest part of Tel Aviv. Continue on to the ancient city of Caesarea that was built by King Herod the Great while driving along the beautiful Mediterranean coast. We will then proceed to Haifa, passing by Mt. Carmel to see the famous Bahai Gardens. From Haifa, we will drive to Nazareth and the Church of Annunciation. Pass by Cana, where the miracle of Jesus turning water into wine took place.  End the day with an overnight in Tiberias/Galilee Sea.

⬤ Day 3. Tuesday.   Galilee – Mt. Beatitudes – Capernaum – Tabgha - Golan Heights 

Start the day with an exciting boat ride on the Galilee Sea. Continue to visit Biblical Magdala and its most recent excavations and discoveries. See the Ancient Synagogue, mentioned in the Bible, from the Period of Jesus. Ascend up to Mt. Beatitudes, where Jesus gave the “Sermon on the Mount”.  Continue the day in Capernaum, known as “The Town of Jesus”, visit the synagogue and Peter’s house. Take a lunch break with a delicious St. Peters fish lunch. Next, we will visit Tabgha, the place where the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes took place. You will also have the amazing opportunity to see the famous mosaic under the altar of the ancient church of Tabgha. Proceed to the Golan Heights and have an overview from above. End the day at your hotel in the Galilee Sea for your overnight.

⬤ Day 4. Wednesday.   Jordan River – Qumran – Masada – Dead Sea

Begin the morning by driving along the Jordan River to Yardenit Baptismal Site. Visit Qumran and see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Travel on to Masada where you will take a cable car up to the fortress. The history of the famous Jewish fortification will unfold before your eyes; the palaces built by King Herod, the synagogue and bathhouses used by the Jews. Descend Masada by cable car and drive to the Dead Sea for some relaxation and a dip in the water. Overnight at a Dead Sea hotel and spa where you will be able to take advantage of the spa facilities.

⬤ Day 5. Thursday.   Dead Sea - Mt. of Olives - Yad Vashem - Bethlehem - Mahane Yehuda

Check out from our hotel. Start our journey to Jerusalem ascending via the Judean Desert. Go up to the Mt. of Olives, a cemetery that once was covered in olive groves, where you will have a magnificent panoramic view of Jerusalem. A visit to Israel’s official memorial to the Holocaust, Yad Vashem, located on Mt. Herzl. Depart for Bethlehem to see the Church of Nativity located at Manger Square. Overview of the Judean Desert and Shepherd's Field. Finish the day back in Jerusalem continue the day with an exciting tour of the Mahane Yehuda Marketplace (Shuk) and experience life as an Israeli. Return to the hotel in Jerusalem for your overnight.

⬤ Day 6. Friday.  Jerusalem (Old City) - Via Dolorosa - Western Wall

The morning will begin with the Garden of Gethsemane, the place where Jesus prayed and his disciples slept the night before his crucifixion. Make your way to Mt. Zion where you will visit David’s Tomb and the site of the Last Supper, also known as the “Upper Room”. We continue to the Christian Quarter where you will enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified. From there, walk where Jesus walked and make your way down Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross). The day will continue with a trip to The Cardo, what used to be a main street in the Old City during the time when Judea was under Roman rule. Go down to the Western Wall and spend some time in reflection and/or prayer. End the day in your Hotel.

⬤ Day 7. Saturday.   Jerusalem (New City)  

Today will begin with a short city tour in New Jerusalem, we will pass by the Israeli parliament “Knesset”, and if time permits, stop by the famous menorah. We will visit the Israel Museum, Israel’s national museum, where you will see the Dead Sea Scrolls as well as a model of the Second Temple.  End the day with an overnight in Tel Aviv. 

⬤ Day 8 Sunday. Jerusalem - Free Day - Explore Jerusalem on your own!

Enjoy your free day to explore the beautiful city and its rich and intriguing culture.  Do not miss the opportunity to visit the interesting museums and the magnificent sites of the city. End the day with an overnight in Jerusalem.

All categories of hotel class stay in the same Kibbutz Hotel in Galilee no matter which hotel class was booked.

In case the hotels mentioned in the table are not available, a similar hotel from the same category will be booked.

Israel is the size of New Jersey or Wales and can be driven in seven hours from its snow capped peaks and ski resort in the north, to its subtropical scuba paradise in the south. Not only can you hike, bike, drive, swim, sunbathe, explore ruins, rappel, dine, pray, meditate and dive, but you can also explore your own personal history. First Time in Israel?

Bring modest clothing. While Tel Aviv, Haifa and Eilat have the feel of New York, San Francisco and Miami, Jerusalem and Tzfat are another story. When going into synagogues, churches and mosques you do not want to be wearing shorts, a mini skirt or a tank top. Ladies should bring a long skirt to throw over their shorts and a scarf or t-shirt handy in order to cover up. Most of the time you can dress as you always do, but once in a while even the men will have to wear long pants. Bring water shoes. Sometimes we will go on little walks or even hikes through a mountain stream or desert oasis over rocks in the water, sometimes in water in a cave! If you don't want to do that, at the very least you will need them when walking on sharp salt crystals as you wade into the Dead Sea before you start to bob up and down like a cork. Are you Jewish and have never had a bar/bat mitzvah? Let us know and we'll set it up. Or perhaps you would like to be baptized in the Jordan River? Please let us know ahead of time so we can set those up for you. Pack light. You will be much happier in the end, trust us. Israel is a very casual place. People go to weddings in shorts, t-shirts and sandals. Leave the suit and dinner jacket at home. You will not be needing them here! Don't get upset when the security officer at the airport grills you with a million questions that seem absurd. There is a method to the madness and don't fret when the security guard searches your purse at the bar or restaurant. It is all for your own good! The sun can be very strong here, especially in the summer. Hats, sun block and sunglasses aren't only recommended, they're essential! Even if you're from Florida. A canteen water bottle is always a good idea. Outside of July and August the evenings can be cool. And between October and May it can be downright cold and rainy. Pack accordingly. The really cold and rainy season generally begins mid November and lasts through March. Outside of the Golan Heights snow is rare, although once in a while it snows in Jerusalem and Tzfat.
