If an elevated Sunday brunch with sweet treats, exceptional quiche, Nordic deviled eggs and a smoked lamb benedict sounds like your kind of heaven, then head to Vivian! It’s an excellent restaurant for a nicer dinner in the River Arts District that pulls out all of the stops for its weekly brunch.
Their Fisherman’s Breakfast with a daily filet is a crowd favorite, as well as the smoked oysters. What we really love is that you can make reservations for brunch. And if you reserve early enough, you’ll have your choice of sitting on the covered patio, at the bar or in the dining room.

The Blackbird Restaurant
The Blackbird is located at the bottom of the Aloft Hotel , which is a top recommendation for a family-friendly hotel in Asheville .
Speaking of kids, The Blackbird has a kids section on the brunch menu . The ‘Hatchlings’ menu includes french toast, farm breakfast, chicken tenders and a slider.
As far as what to order at The Blackbird, start with beignets and a boozy cold brew ! We love their french toast with sweetened cream cheese and fruit. The steak & eggs is also a great dish and you can’t go wrong with their goat cheese omelet .

Casual West Asheville hang with a weekend brunch
Haywood Common is a great bar and restaurant located in West Asheville . They are open daily with a weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s a casual spot and is connected to the craft beer hangout spot The Whale. The two make for a fun combo!
As far as brunch food at Haywood Common goes, it’s quite the menu! You’ll find everything from boiled peanuts to start, a Monte Cristo, a basic breakfast plate and huevos rancheros. The “basic” waffle is anything but basic– it is seasoned with Garam masala! Overall, the menu is extensive and the dishes are a bit unique and packed with flavor.
Haywood Common is conveniently located off I-26, so we always recommend it if you are heading out of town and want one last easy-to-get-to brunch.
507 Haywood Road | West Asheville

Southern brunch with an epic breakfast cocktail menu
Born and raised in Asheville, the southern brunch spot Tupelo Honey can now be found in over 10 states. Its original spot is located right downtown on College Street, though, and is still a popular spot for breakfast.
You’ll find Southern favorites like a fried chicken biscuit, shrimp & grits, traditional breakfast plate and even a pimento grilled cheese. They also have mac & cheese waffles with hot chicken if you are up for it!

A sidewalk brunch at a charming French-inspired bistro
Isa’s is a darling French restaurant in downtown Asheville . Their weekend brunch menu includes eggs benedict, lox & waffles, a raspberry kringle and a bistro hash skillet. Their croissant madame is always a treat , especially with a bowl of french onion soup if it’s closer to lunch.
Isa’s is our top recommendation if you are looking for a romantic brunch in Asheville . We have seen two couples get engaged here if that helps convince you! And we get it– the charm is present in every detail. We especially love the tables along the sidewalk that offer an excellent vantage for people-watching.

Their shrimp & grits dish is served with a creamy Cajun roux and you’ll find crawfish etouffee on the menu. The Louisiana flavors run deep here!
One of the most noteworthy things about Mayfel’s is that they offer half-off bloody marys and mimosas on Fridays . Plan accordingly! They also have a dog-friendly patio .

Ukiah Japanese Smokehouse
Note: ukiah ended their brunch service in october 2023 and will resume in 2024., flavor-packed sunday brunch with japanese flavors.
Ukiah is another dinner restaurant that goes above and beyond for an exceptional Sunday-only brunch. They are one of our top recommendations for Japanese food in Asheville and serve up an excellent Sunday morning meal.
Their brunch menu is short but sweet and includes some awesome dishes like Chicken + Waffles and Breakfast Ramen . If you are familiar with Ukiah then I am sure your mind is already racing thinking about the intense flavors packed into each dish. And if you haven’t been yet, you are in for a treat !
If you are looking to go all out, try the Wagyu Ribeye and eggs with shiso chimichurri and wasabi. And whatever you do, please get a golden potato + scallion pancake with grilled kimchi sauce for the table ! It’s the perfect way to start a brunch in Asheville over coffee or a brunch cocktail.

The 23 Best Local Brunch Spots in Asheville
1. desoto lounge.
Desoto Lounge is an eclectic, award-winning bar that’s been serving customers in West Asheville for the past 14 years. If you’re looking for a place that’s full of character and has great food and beer, this is easily one of the bests brunch spots in Asheville!
They specialize in local craft-brewed beer on tap. They also serve cocktails and wine and have a Make-Your-Own-Bloody-Mary and Mimosa Bar for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
You can enjoy the jukebox, the pinball machines, or play ping-pong or foosball. Plus, there is outdoor seating on the patio if you prefer to dine alfresco.
Try the Chicken N’ Waffles (fried chicken on a Belgium waffle, served with a side of butter and spicy maple syrup (only on Saturdays), the Meatloaf Sandwich, or the Biscuits and Gravy.
Be sure to check the menu to see what else is on offer. They post their full brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday mornings on their Facebook page.
Vivian started as the food truck Salt & Smoke in 2016, and it’s now one of the best restaurants in Asheville and, in my opinion, they serve up the best Sunday brunch in Asheville!
The food is fun, creative, and made with locally sourced ingredients. Everything tastes excellent! It has the vibe of a neighborhood restaurant with upscale food, and the staff is super friendly.
I love the Fisherman’s Breakfast, the Deep Fried Chicken Biscuit, and the Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake. Please make reservations, as this place does get crowded.
3. All Day Darling
All Day Darling is my go-to place, and they serve one of the best breakfasts in Asheville. It’s open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm (all day, darling!), and the menu offers a variety of market-focused foods.
It’s in Montford, just a few blocks from downtown Asheville, and is still off the tourist track. I love their outdoor seating areas and the extra-friendly staff. I also love that all the items on their menu are served all day.
They are dog-friendly, and there is a kids’ menu. The Fried Chicken Biscuit, the Lox Plate, and the Shakshuka are the best! The pastries and cakes are also delicious. Plus if you’re working remotely we think it’s one of the best Asheville cafes to work from as well.
Read our complete review of All Day Darling here!
4. Cecilia’s Kitchen
Cecilia’s Kitchen restaurant and food trucks are adored by locals who attend festivals and enjoy local, organic, and multicultural food. Cecilia is from Argentina and offers a solid menu of tamales, crepes, and mouthwatering empanadas.
Being also from Argentina, I, of course, recommend the beefy Empanadas de Carne de Vaca, but the cheese-and-veggie-stuffed vegetarian ones are excellent too. The brunch menu includes a “Brunch from the Grill” selection: the Pain Perdu “Lost Bread” is fantastic. That’s why Cecilia’s Kitchen also made our list of the best food trucks in Asheville !
5. Ukhia
Ukhia Japanese Smokehouse is one of the best places to eat in Asheville and one of the most original downtown Asheville restaurants. In the words of its founders, Ukhia was born “out of a true passion for Japanese soul food and southern BBQ (with a good cocktail on the side!).”
How does it sound? The name spells “haiku” backward, reflecting a little bit on their approach to food: “structure and balance turned upside down.” I love the Karaage Chicken & Waffles and the Wagyu Ribeye Steak & Eggs.
If you’re visiting Asheville, please take my advice: Don’t leave our city without eating at Ukhia!
6. Abeja’s House Cafe
If you ask local families about Abeja’s House Cafe , they will tell you it’s one of the best brunch spots in Asheville. The restaurant blends recipes from different cultures using healthy, locally sourced ingredients.
The result is a solid, hearty breakfast and lunch menu with many surprises and vegan and vegetarian options. The portions are very generous, which is always appreciated. I love the Huevos Rancheros, the Breakfast Sandwich (served in a perfect texture homemade croissant), and the Tres Leches Cake.
7. Stoney Knob Cafe
Established in 1962, Stoney Knob Cafe is a legendary restaurant located in Weaverville, just 10 minutes from Asheville. Head to the website, and you can read the story of Gus and Ismini Dermas, the Greek founders.
Operated today by their sons John and Yotty, they offer “a sample of the world” where they combine flavors from different cuisines using seasonal ingredients. All the locals love this place and agree on one word to describe it: “consistency” over the menu and the years.
I loved the Shalom Stuffed French Toast from the Sunday brunch menu and the Gyro Sandwich.
8. Benne on Eagle
Benne on Eagle is located on Eagle Street in the historical, once predominantly African-American neighborhood called The Block in Downtown Asheville.
The restaurant’s theme is Sankofa , an Andinkra symbol in Ghana that translates as “go back and get it.” This concept aims to integrate new food techniques and methods while looking back to history to learn and bring awareness to culinary traditions from the African-American culture of The Block. The result is creative soul food that tastes amazing!
The brunch menu features all sorts of addictive dishes. From the Fried Green Tomatoes with mozzarella foam and the Huevos Rancheros with chorizo and avocado puree to the Seafood Benedict and the Shrimp Po’Boy, you’ll want to try everything on the menu!
9. Liberty House Cafe
Liberty House Cafe is within walking distance of downtown Asheville and my house, so it’s been one of my regulars since it opened in 2016. It’s set on a one-acre property in a 1920s cottage that was repurposed and features a lovely garden area.
You can enjoy simple, delicious food made with high-quality ingredients while you sit by fruit trees, gigantic sunflowers, and an abundant vegetable garden. It’s dog and kid-friendly (it has tons of space for the kids to run around), and it also offers indoor seating.
The brunch menu differs weekly. My family’s favorites from the regular menu are the Bison Burger, the Farmhouse Skillet, and the Sourdough Pancakes. Liberty House is next door to the nationally renowned yoga studio Asheville Yoga Center , in case you want to enjoy a hearty brunch after your yoga class, like many locals do on the weekends.
10. Tamalería y Tortillería Molina
Did you know tamales are a traditional breakfast food in Mexico and other Latin American countries? If you want to mix things up, Tamalería y Tortillería Molina offers, by far, the best tamales in town.
Big, delicious, fresh, and loaded with goodness, they sell out fast! These tamales are amazing all day, but I recommend you go in the morning when they are just made. I love the Tamal de Pollo (Chicken Tamal) with green tomatillo sauce.
They have a variety of tacos on the menu too. I recommend the fresh tortillas and the traditionally cooked Tacos de Birria de Res.
11. Gypsy Queen
Locals have loved Suzy’s (Asheville’s Lebanese Gipsy Queen !) food from the food truck and the restaurant for years. She’s been cooking since she was a little girl in Lebanon and still uses her family’s recipes (there are photos of her grandmother decorating the walls).
Everything is so tasty, and the food is made with high-quality local produce. I love the Lebanese Fries, the Half Cauliflower/Half Brussels, the Lebanese Poutine, and everything with falafel.
It has a kids’ menu and family-style dishes (our favorite is the Lamb Kafta, which comes with hummus and a bag of pita bread). Gypsy Queen is a staple for local vegans and vegetarians (try the Vegan Lebanese Poutine). The market selections are also great.
12. Biscuit Head
The original Biscuit Head opened in West Asheville in 2013, and since then, it’s opened two more locations in Asheville, and another one in Greenville, SC. They serve regular and gluten-free biscuits and have many gravy and biscuit sandwich options.
Do as the locals do and begin with a giant, fluffy biscuit, then add whatever you want. You can choose from tons of biscuit sandwich options, five types of gravy, and a slew of sides. Think Sriracha Slaw, Fried Chicken, Jalapeño Pimento Cheese, and Fried Green Tomatoes.
Everything tastes good and homemade, the portions are generous, they have a jam bar, and they never skimp on the bacon. The last time I was there, I had the Biscuit Donut with the local Iced AppalaChai – so yummy!
Try a side of the Goodnight Brothers dry-cured country ham, or better yet, order the Country Ham Biscuit with fried green tomatoes, a cheesy egg, and a side of espresso red-eye gravy. There’s no doubt it’s a favorite for southern comfort food in Asheville . Also, if you feel like picnicking, they offer meal kits.
13. 5 Points Restaurant
I’ll be honest: I’ve lived a block and a half away from 5 Points Restaurant for the past 10 years, and I had never gone there until, a few days ago, I asked my friends about the best brunch spots in Asheville, and many of them brought up my neighborhood’s restaurant.
So, I went one morning, and I had the perfect classic BLT. Now I’m humiliated. 5 Points was established in 1972 by the same Greek family that owns it today. I might be back tomorrow to try some of the Greek specials. Actually, I might be back every day to try every item on their menu.
From Greek specials like the Spanakopita (Spinach Pie) and Moussaka to the traditional waffles and omelets, there’s something for everyone in your crew.
14. City Bakery in North Asheville
While City Bakery in downtown is one of the best breakfast places in Asheville, it’s not precisely off-the-tourist track. But its sister in North Asheville has a neighborhood vibe, a patio where locals sit with their dogs, and the same great food.
As one of the best bakeries in Asheville , City Bakery is known, and it’s been awarded for its artisan bread and pastries, and its sandwiches are amazing. Try the Breakfast Torta – an addictive combination of scrambled eggs, jack cheese, local HNG chorizo, pico de gallo, avocado, and jalapeño goat cheese dressing piled high on freshly baked ciabatta.
Other options include the Veggie & Goat Breakfast Sandwich, the Pastrami Reuben Specialty Sandwich, the Avo Melt Classic Sandwich, and the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Cheddar Scallion Biscuit. You really can’t go wrong!
15. OWL Bakery
Since you’re on Charlotte St., go across the street to OWL Bakery and grab coffee and pastries (or a fantastic vegetable strudel) from one of the best Asheville bakeries . You’ll thank me!
Enjoy the naturally leavened bread and the beautifully presented European-inspired pastries made by hand using local, seasonal ingredients. The cardamom buns and the croissants are the most delicious!
The menu varies seasonally. OWL’s bread selection is broad. I love the baguettes and the seeded whole-wheat sourdough packed with toasted millet, pepitas, sesame seeds, and sunflower seeds.
Fun fact – OWL stands for “Old World Levain”!
16. Old Europe
Old Europe Asheville has been “making Asheville sweeter since 1994” with its beautiful cakes, pastries, and desserts. This place is a downtown Asheville classic and might be the perfect option for a quick brunch.
While they don’t offer the classic brunch staples, their quiches and savory croissants are delicious. They also serve seriously good cookies, cake slices, and macarons, in case you want to skip straight to dessert!
17. Baby Bull
Well, it’s not the classic brunch restaurant, but they serve the best burger in Asheville, and only a few people know this secret. When my friend told me about this place, he described it as “a miracle.”
So if you feel like burgers for brunch, go to Baby Bull . The Double Cheeseburger is marvelous! The Lobster Roll and the Fried Fish sandwich are also favorites. The fries are perfectly salted and served with aioli. They have Burger Monday deals, too.
Do note that all of their burgers and sandwiches are served “all” or “nothing,” so don’t even think about adding or subtracting condiments.
18. The Local Joint
The Local Joint is a beloved 10-year-old Fairview restaurant that serves Southern comfort food made with high-quality local produce. Its menu has something for everyone.
All their sandwiches are good, but The Big Bear breakfast sandwich is a favorite: Cajun fried chicken, Applewood smoked bacon, and cheddar cheese on a scratch-made biscuit, topped with their signature sausage gravy. I also love the French Toast made with local challah bread, the Fairview with poached eggs, avocado, and hollandaise, and the Fried Green Tomatoes.
19. Louise’s Kitchen
Louise’s Kitchen is in Black Mountain, just 12 miles from downtown Asheville, but the town and the cafe are worth the drive. The restaurant is inside a lovely old house that was built in 1904.
They serve Sunday brunch from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. I loved the Eggs Louise (Sunday brunch specials) and the Grits Cakes (regular breakfast menu). I don’t drink alcohol, but my Black Mountain friends rave about the Bloody Mary made with a local jalapeño pale ale and house-made Bloody Mary mix.
Louise’s Kitchen is pet-friendly, and it offers a kids’ menu. Space is limited, and you can sit inside or outside on the porch. Unfortunately, they don’t take reservations.
Black Mountain won the TripAdvisor Readers’ Choice Award for Prettiest Small Town Vacation in America in 2017. So, take the opportunity to enjoy its downtown filled with local independent stores (I recommend the bookstore Sassafras on Sutton and tasting The Hop ’s handcrafted ice cream if you still have room). Or visit the Swannanoa Valley Museum and History Center and Lake Tomahawk.
20. Star Diner
This hidden gem is in downtown Marshall, 20 miles from downtown Asheville. Star Diner is one of the best places to eat Sunday brunch. Enjoy the outstanding food in a fun, old-timey atmosphere, and take some time to walk around Marshall’s lovely town.
The Crispy Fried Brussel Sprouts, the Pork Schnitzel and Eggs, and the Shrimp & Grits were out of this world. Please call to make a reservation.
21. Joey’s Bagels
If you feel like eating freshly baked bagels, Joey’s Bagels has been offering the most authentic New York bagels in the Western Carolinas since 2011. The bagels are baked daily, and the cream cheese selection is excellent (Try the Bean and Chive and the Walnut Raisin).
In addition, the menu has an extensive selection of bagel sandwiches, sandwiches, and wraps. I love the simple Bacon and Eggs Bagel and the Bagel with Cream Cheese and Lox.
22. Taco Billy
Taco Billy is famous for its breakfast tacos served all day and for having the best breakfast tacos in town. They work with local produce growers and use the tortillas from Tamalería y Tortillería Molina!
The Billy Holiday (sausage, egg, and cheese), Billy Ocean (home fries, eggs, and cheese), and Billy Joel (bacon, eggs, and cheese) tacos are great, but please try Mama’s Favorite (sausage, eggs, spinach, sweet potato, and goat cheese on a plantain tortilla) or the ultra-popular among locals, Migas Taco (eggs, jalapeños, tomatoes, crispy-fried tortilla, and Colby-Jack cheese.
Or build your own breakfast taco. You can choose from flour, corn, and gluten-free plantain tortillas and tons of fillings like veggie chorizo, goat cheese, sausage, and eggs (to name a few), all drizzled with the fresh salsa of your choice.
23. Asheville Beauty Academy
This brunch party happens every Sunday, and it is fun! The tickets include a classic brunch buffet, a mimosa or Bloody Mary, and a fabulous Drag Queen show. The show features award-winning Ida Carolina, the legendary Euphoria Eclipse, and other Asheville and out-of-town queens.
This boozy brunch is only for ages 21+. Seating is limited, so definitely purchase your ticket in advance. The Asheville Beauty Academy is located in a historic building in downtown Asheville.
Home to a beauty academy in the 1950s, it recently claimed its name back to offer a space to create joy and “to throw a party and let people show their true beauty in a welcoming space where everyone can share with good company and embrace what shines from within.”

Best french toast in asheville, nc, best bloody mary in asheville, nc, best brunch places in asheville with live music, more of the best brunch places you need to try in asheville, nc.
You may not think of the Blue Ridge Mountains as a good place to get a dish that originated on rural Mexican farms. But the Asheville area is home to many small mountain farms, and we see our share of fresh eggs, herbs, and other ingredients that go into this classic savory dish.
Here are a few of the best brunch places to get huevos rancheros in Asheville, NC.
Abeja’s House Cafe
Latin roots meet healthy options at Abeja’s House Cafe. Located on a main road across from Biltmore Forest, the restaurant uses local organic eggs, and antibiotic- and hormone-free products. Much of their menu is organic, gluten-free, and vegan—but that doesn’t mean it skimps on taste! Along with Mexican chilaquiles, their huevos rancheros signature plate is a big draw. It can even be made vegetarian or vegan upon request. Additional options include breakfast tacos and burritos, Mexican omelets, and traditional Southern staples like pancakes, French toast, and biscuits. Enjoy their outdoor seating on sunny days.
1550 Hendersonville Road #116, Asheville | (828) 505-3696
Haywood Common
Start your weekend with Appalachian-grown comfort food sourced from small local farms. Haywood Common’s seasonal menu covers lunch and dinner in addition to weekend brunch. Options include everything from “basic breakfast” to avocado toast, chicken and waffles, or a tuna poke bowl. Their huevos rancheros include black beans, salsa verde, and preserved lemon crema. It can also be prepared vegetarian or gluten free. While you’re there, enjoy a full bar, natural and organic wines, craft cocktails, and local beers.

Sunny Point Cafe
Known for having one of the best breakfast (and brunch!) menus in the country, Sunny Point is a small West Asheville restaurant with a big menu. Locals were thrilled when they expanded their outdoor and heated patio space to accommodate more diners. And in addition to supporting local farms and vendors, Sunny Point offers some of the best people watching around. Come during brunch for the Huevos Rancheros or Stuffed French Toast, stay for the 16-ounce Mega-Mosa.

Actually originating in Rome, French toast has been a breakfast staple for more than 1,700 years! In Asheville, local restaurants put their own spin on the dish by adding mountain ingredients or even creating boozy options. You can’t go wrong!
Here are a few of the best brunch restaurants for French toast lovers in Asheville, NC.
Corner Kitchen
Lots of restaurants in Asheville serve farm-to-table menus. According to Corner Kitchen, the difference is what happens in between. Located in the heart of historic Biltmore Village, Corner Kitchen is known for its illuminated interior and comfortable cuisine, served in a nineteenth-century home-turned-restaurant. A five-hour brunch window gives you plenty of time to coordinate your visit with the whole crew. You can’t go wrong with any of their brunch choices, ranging from seasonal crumb cake to lobster rolls to shrimp and grits. But we recommend their boozy French toast: homemade brioche, Grand Marnier batter, bourbon sorghum, fresh berries, and applewood smoked bacon, dusted with powdered sugar. Yum!

Early Girl Eatery
Breakfast is served all day at this long-time Asheville staple! Since 2001, Early Girl has been serving the meals locals love, from the local sausage and sweet potato Yam Scram® for breakfast to the gluten-free chicken BLTA Salad salad, perfect almost anytime. For a special treat, we recommend one of their “biscuit French” options—light, fluffy, cinnamon-battered biscuits, soaked overnight in their 14-year French toast recipe, and baked fresh daily. Don’t forget to order a lavender mimosa with your meal! Now, Early Girl has three locations in town, plus one in Charlotte’s South End. Even so, we recommend making a reservation at this popular spot.

No matter when you go, you can expect to order whatever you want—their full menu is served all day! One order of French toast comes with four triangles of Texas-sized toast and a side. We recommend choosing one of their specialty flavors, including Cinnabon or banana pudding. Other Wynn’s Diner favorites include a bubble waffle, authentic country fried steak in gravy, and premium sides like fried green tomatoes. The only question you’ll leave with is, “Wynn” can I come back?

Top 10 Brunch Spots in Asheville North Carolina
E arly morning, Asheville: the question isn't should we go to brunch, but where should we go f or brunch? With so many wonderful options, it's hard to narrow it down. While this list isn't close to including all the fantastic brunch spots in Asheville, it is ten of the best. From inexpensive to high-end, brunch in Asheville is a tasty treat!
Downtown Delicacies
1. One Stop Deli weekend brunch highlights are live bluegrass music, the fried chicken and waffle plate, and a Bloody Mary bar. It's the kind of place where you can get loud and clap along to the band, and where kids (and adults) are allowed and encouraged to dance beside the table.
2. Early Girl Eatery is extremely popular with visitors and locals alike - there will be a wait, but it is worth it! Located on Wall Street downtown, this restaurant focuses on Southern style farm-to-table dining. The menu is filled with local ingredients in everything from their Sausage and Sweet Potato Scramble to the Vegan Tofu Scramble.
3. Over Easy Cafe is another downtown favorite. Sure, the establishment is tiny, so there will likely will be a line outside, but this will give you the opportunity to get menu suggestions from the locals that come week after week for their Huevos Rancheros, their freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, and their Southern hospitality. Our suggestion- try the lavender french toast - unique and tasty!
4. Located in the historic Montford area, just north of downtown, Tod's Tasties is a favorite that's a bit off the beaten path. This cafe offers outdoor and indoor seating and a menu with delicious options like their filling breakfast bowls. Tod makes all of the bread, buns, biscuits, bagels, and pastries with NC-produced organic flours, plus their produce is sourced locally when possible. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, and you can usually find artwork by Asheville artists for sale on the walls.
5. Limones (which means "lemons" in Spanish) is an upscale Cal-Mex restaurant. Their weekend- only brunches offer options you rarely find on any menu, such as Goat Cheese & Crab Empanadas and Chilaquiles, a traditional Mexican breakfast plate which most closely resembles a tortilla casserole. When dining at Limones, make sure to save room for hot chocolate and churros. Reservations are strongly recommended.
Stay close to the downtown brunch scene with Carolina Mornings. Close to everything, Studio Lex is a modern and luxurious loft that will allow you to step out your front door and right into the center of Asheville's exciting downtown scene.
Bountiful Biltmore Brunch Buffet
6.When you stay with Carolina Mornings, you'll receive our complimentary Mountain Discovery Pass , which gives you one ski lift ticket at Scenic Wolf and one ticket to the Biltmore Estate per night of your stay. Make the most of your visit and start your Sunday visit to the estate at the Biltmore Estate's Deerpark Restaurant . Their wonderful "Taste of the South" buffet brunch includes delicacies like Moonshine Cured & Smoked Salmon, "Pain Perdu" (New Orleans Style French Toast with orange-espresso Creole cream cheese), and Hand Carved Prime Rib. Reservations strongly suggested.
Say "Yum!" in West Asheville
7. Sunny Point Cafe in West Asheville is so popular that you can expect to wait outside for a bit - because it's 100% delicious! Once seated, you can create the omelette of your dreams with their build-your-own-omelette, or try a southern favorite, shrimp and grits. Whatever you choose, you can rest assured that it will be yummy!
Staying at City Retreat , you will be close to the restaurants and shops of hip West Ashevi lle, and only minutes from downtown and the Biltmore Estate. The great 3-bedroom, 3-bath home is stylish and contemporary and has amazing views.
Wonderful Weaverville Brunches
9. Stoney Knob Cafe has been around since the '60s and there's a menu full of tempting reasons for that. Their brunch has many traditional breakfast dishes and, as a nod to its original owners, some great Greek options like spanakopita, hummus, and gyro plates.
10. Last but definitely not least, the Creperie of Weaverville is a quaint cafe on Main Street in Weaverville. Expect amazing savory and sweet crepes, affordable prices, and friendly staff members. They also have a full espresso bar.
Tree Tops is a beautiful vacation rental in Weaverville. Spacious and private, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath home has a pool, a hot tub, and even a massage table. It has a wonderful kitchen and a great deck to enjoy a meal. It is set on two acres and a perfect option for those looking to get away from it all and enjoy the good life.

Weekday wonders
Bomba | Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. | Find Latin-inspired dishes like arepas, breakfast tacos, and croque madame sandwiches at this all-day breakfast cafe (owned by the same folks as Salsa’s). Personally, we can never resist the Bomba roll (a tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, black beans, potato gratin, avocado, and sweet plantains).
Early Girl | Monday-Sunday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. | Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served all day. The Yam Scram with scrambled eggs, pork sausage, shiitake mushrooms, sweet potatoes, chopped bacon, and green onions is even more fun to eat than it is to say.
Corner Kitchen | Monday-Sunday, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | Pro tip: If you’re in the mood for something sweet, don’t miss Boozy French Toast with Grand Marnier batter and bourbon sorghum.
The Med | Tuesday-Saturday., 8 a.m.-2 p.m., Sunday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. | What we’re ordering: The hefty breakfast burrito or the catfish + grits with collard greens, crispy onions, and red eye gravy. Probably both.
Sand Hill Kitchen | Tuesday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. | This unassuming spot, located inside a BP gas station, boasts award-winning fare. We especially love the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and sausage gravy.
Sunny Point Cafe | Monday-Sunday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. | We love this West Asheville staple’s elegant + elevated Southern fare, especially the decadent Southern crab cake benny.
Regina’s | Monday-Sunday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. | You can dine on breakfast + lunch favorites with an elevated twist in this vibrant, comfortable West Asheville spot. Plus, keep an eye out for dinner service coming back this spring.
Smokin’ Onion | Thursday-Monday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. | From chick’n and waffles to biscuits and gravy — you won’t believe these comfort foods are 100% vegan. And if you happen to crave the dishes on a Tuesday, stop by New Belgium Brewing to visit the food truck.

Weekend musts
Asheville Beauty Academy | Sunday, 12-2:30 p.m. | Want legs and eggs? Get them both here, where you can take in a killer drag performance while noshing on a breakfast buffet of eggs, bacon, biscuits, and other Southern delights. Wash it down with your choice of a bloody mary or mimosa.
Ukiah Japanese Smokehouse | Brunch will restart in the spring | Take our advice: When brunch starts back up, get the breakfast ramen, biscuits with Japanese sausage gravy, or golden potato and scallion pancake topped with exquisite grilled kimchi sauce.
Benne on Eagle | Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m.-1 p.m. | What we’re ordering : the Local Mushroom Toast, with Russian rye, arugula, soft scramble, sherry-glazed mushrooms, and pecorino.
Homegrown | Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. | On weekends, the weekday breakfast menu gets even more tasty — with sweet treats like French toast casserole or something savory like local trout cakes.
Fork Lore | Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Build your own omelet, dine on different bennies, or check out burgers and sandwiches on the special brunch menu. Pro tip : You can grab classic breakfast foods every day of the week.
Chestnut | Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | Get your table (or yourself) a large mimosa carafe before you choose from delicious dishes like Cajun Biscuits & Gravy, ricotta donuts, or the brunch burger.

For the fam
Biscuit Head | Monday-Sunday, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. | Whether they’re smothered with gravy, loaded with butter and homemade jams, or used as a sandwich — massive cat head biscuits are the star of this show. We especially love the Filthy Animal sandwich with fried chicken, pimento cheese, bacon, and scrambled eggs topped with gravy.
The Rhu | Monday-Sunday, 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. | Here, you’ll find gorgeous pastries + cookies, salads, and yummy breakfast sandwiches. We can’t get enough of the smoked trout bagel featuring local smoked trout from Sunburst Trout Farms, cream cheese, greens, red onion, and capers.
Abeja’s House Cafe | Tuesday-Sunday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. | Two words are enough for us: breakfast quesadillas. But there are also pillowy pancakes, omelets, huevos rancheros, and breakfast sandwiches for vegans, vegetarians, and meat eaters.
The Local Joint | Monday, Wednesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. | What we’re ordering: the turkey breakfast sandwich with bacon and blueberry goat cheese on a toasted croissant topped with an over-easy egg.
Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar | Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. | We can’t get enough of the mountain blueberry buttermilk waffle and the “old skool” breakfast bowl.
The Blackbird | Monday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | You’ll find fare from the farm, eggs galore, special cocktails, and dishes with a Southern touch — plus, a simple menu for “the Hatchlings.”
For a special occasion

Hemingway’s Cuba | Tuesday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-10 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, 7 a.m.-1 p.m. | What we’re ordering: The Cuban breakfast sandwich with Black Forest ham, pulled pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, scrambled eggs, and a side of breakfast potatoes. Pro tip : Don’t skip the Cuban coffee.
Eldr | Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | The elevated locale on Omni Grove Park Inn’s property served up brunch classics, sweets like the Dutch Baby, and luxurious dishes like the Braised Pork Cheek Benedict.
The Market Place | Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | The James Beard Award-nominated restaurant is definitely worth a weekend morning visit.
Vivian | Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. | This minimalist River Arts District space offers maximalist European-inspired fare, like smoked lamb Benedict and Nordic deviled eggs (that taste best with a Kentucky cappuccino with bourbon).
