NEW UPDATE 12th June: The show has been upgraded to an even bigger venue for the Wellington show, now set to happen at TSB Arena.

Due to huge demand, Destroy All Lines and Highly Suspect have upgraded to a bigger venue for the Wellington show, a new moving to Shed 6.

All tickets purchased for the San Fran, Wellington show remain valid for the Shed 6, Wellington upgrade.

The group will traverse NZ playing Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington shows, performing crowd favourites from across their discography and cuts from their latest record THE MIDNIGHT DEMON CLUB, released in late 2022.

Never content to follow, Highly Suspect push rock music forward by trusting their instincts and raising a middle finger to everything else. The multi-GRAMMY® Award-nominated and multiple gold-certified band don’t just talk about burning the rules and breaking the mould; they actually do.

The band’s chemically imbalanced mix of gritty guitars, haunting piano, off-kilter synths, hip-hop production, cinematic vision, and beautifully possessed vocals transformed them into a phenomenon, beloved by a diehard global fanbase known as MCID (My Crew Is Dope).

Due to unprecedented demand, Destroy All Lines and Highly Suspect have now added a new Auckland show to be held at Trust Arena, alongside their two sold out Powerstation shows. In addition to this new Auckland show, phenomenal demand requires the Christchurch and Wellington shows both upgrade to bigger venues.

All tickets purchased for the Friday 17 November show, originally at Loons Christchurch, remain valid for the venue upgrade to the Town Hall, Christchurch.

Highly Suspect Announce Australia and New Zealand Tour

US rockers Highly Suspect are heading to Australia and New Zealand later this year.

Beginning in New Zealand with shows in Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington, The Cape Cod-based outfit will then visit Australia to perform in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane throughout November (see full dates below).

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, May 23rd at 10am AEST. The early bird pre-sale begins on Monday, May 22nd at 10am AEST (sign up here ).

Highly Suspect are touring in support of their latest album, The Midnight Demon Club . The Grammy-nominated band will also play fan favourites on their upcoming tour.

“A shot to the mind in a world which often feels numbed by social media feeds, hypocrisy, and insincerity,  The Midnight Demon Club  strikes all the right nerves,” Cryptic Rock hailed in a five-star review.

The Midnight Demon Club was the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s MCID (My Crew Is Dope) , which Loudwire named as one of the 50 Best Rock Albums of that year.

Highly Suspect will be busy on the touring front elsewhere in 2023. They’re part of the Blue Ridge Festival lineup in September alongside the likes of Slipknot , Pantera, Lamb of God and Evanescence. They’ll also take ‘The Midnight Demon Club Tour’ across their home country in December.

The following year, Highly Suspect will take to the seas in February for Shipwrecked, performing on a cruise with Killswitch Engage, Beartooth and more.

The Cape Cod rock band will be touching down in November.

The genre-bending modern rock back will be coming down under this summer for a quick three-date jaunt.

Starting with a few shows over in New Zealand, they’ll head on over to Melbourne’s Stay Gold on November 23 before making their way over to Sydney and Brisbane.

In 2022, the American five-piece released their latest album, The Midnight Demon Club – fans can expect to hear songs from this release on tour in November. The new album features the singles Pink Lullabye and Natural Born Killer.

With it, the band added an electro-pop twist to their traditional alternative rock sound, giving them a fresh edge and keeping fans on their toes.

Highly Suspect got their start as a local cover band, playing songs by classic rock favourites including Sublime, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix.

After dropping a series of EPs in their early days, they released a self-titled compilation album that saw them rise to new heights, touring with Stone Temple Pilots and the Deftones.

With four studio albums, a handful of Grammy nominations and years worth of world tours under their belts, it’s likely the guy will deliver a rockin’ live show when they come to town.

Presale tickets to see Highly Suspect on their Australia and New Zealand tour are set to unlock on May 22 at 10am AEST. General admission will go on sale the following day.

Who are the members of Highly Suspect?

Highly Suspect are made up of three band members:

How did Highly Suspect get their name?

Highly Suspect got their name from a line in a song called "Highly Suspicious" by the band My Morning Jacket. "16" tells the heartbreaking true story of Highly Suspect frontman Johnny Stevens falling in love for the first time when he was 16 years old. After seven years together, his girlfriend told him that she was pregnant but upon the baby's birth, he found out the baby was of a different race and therefore wasn't his. His world came crashing down in the space of one minute. Ouch.
