A for effort, anyway. They donned costumes and had a couple of LCD screens with spacey stuff going during the show.

However, the singing was really off, choreography seemed unpracticed, they didn't seem to look at the crowd when singing (maybe the fault of the lights), and overall it was a weak performance. Like a bad cover band of Starset.

The good news is that their music really is, imo, amazing and they're a new band, so their live shows will only get better and I feel like they have the potential for some truly incredible live performances once they get the experience and the budget to make it happen. Starset is a band to keep and eye on and I hope that I can look back in 5 years to say, "I saw them back when they were a struggling opener for Breaking Benjamin."

I went to the Breaking Benjamin and Starset concert with my daughters at the Aztec theatre in San Antonio. This was one of the best concerts that I have experienced. Most concerts I go to are way too loud and the music drowns out the vocals. Not this concert. I could understand the vocals with no problem. Not sure if it's the venue or the bands, but the volume was perfect. Dustin Bates from Starset was kind enough to take a picture with my daughter, Julia. Dustin is a class act and I hope Starset gets the recognition they deserve. They are one of my favorite new bands and can't wait for another album from them. This is the second time that I have seen Starset in San Antonio within the past year. If you haven't seen them, give them a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Starset never fails to impress. My husband and I attended this concert with his three young children (two age 9, and one age 10). They would often get bored with the opening bands, but Starset has so much going on that they were entranced the entire show. My step-son screamed "you're awesome" so much that I am shocked he has a voice left. This is my third time seeing Starset in concert. This was the first show of their new Manifest album tour in Cincinnati, OH. The venue is small, so I feel that limits their abilities a bit. My husband and I will be attending their final concert for this tour at Express Live! in Columbus, OH November 1st as well. This show will most definitely be stunning.

What an amazing show.....not only is Starset just as good live as they are on their albums, but, this was the BEST group meet and greet. I've paid a lot of money to meet and greet a lot of groups and this was my all time favorite. The crew is even really cool...Starset took their time with their fans, had an acoustic show and we weren't rushed and/or being herded like cattle. Absolutely worth the VIP admission fee. Highly highly recommend. This group is going to be HUGE!

PS Granmercy theater is an awesome venue ....good seating, clean bathrooms and the security doesn't treat you like you're insignificant....definitely going to subscribe to this venue for events.

I don’t typically go to concerts. I’m a 22 year old and have only been to three in my life. This concert beyond exceeded my expectations performance wise, venue wise, and atmosphere wise!

To feel a bands emotion, energy, and message to its audience is what concerts are supposed to portray and Starset did JUST that! If I could relive the evening all over again I would do it in a heartbeat and I thank them for their dedication to their audience!

I will be seeing them again one day in concert with high hopes as they have set the bar for future bands I go and watch!

This band are phenomenal live. Having seen them both supporting Breaking Benjamin & headlining a full set, if you enjoy their music then their live performances not only live up to it, but the added visual spectacle is worth viewing in itself. They also change it up with slower semi accoustic versions of their slower songs such as Die for you & starlight, finally finishing it off with my demons. They also don't do encore's but don't worry, it's just because they'd rather just keep going & play the whole set for sure rather than pretend otherwise :)

Went to see them in Denver and they had such extreme technical difficulties with their elaborate set up that they stopped the show after about half of one song and walked off stage without a word. Unfortunately after several hours of standing around in silence waiting for them to attempt a fix we eventually went home. Definitely wish I could have gotten my money and time back for that one.

All that being said, it looked like it would have been a cool concert if they had actually been able to make it work.

THEY WERE AWESOME.PERFECT BALANCE OF SOUND. DEMONS AS OFF THE WALL. THEN THEY ALLOWED FREE PICTURES WITH THEM.BREAKING BENJAMIN OVER THE TOP EXTREMELY GOOD. BEN ROCKED THE GUITAR AND THEY DID A COMPILATION OF FOUR SONGS THAT LITERALLY MADE THE CROWD LOSE THEIR MIND. WE ALL STARTED HEAD BANGING TO ONE SONG.IM SOO GLAD BEJAMIN CAME TO ATLANTA AND GLAD HE IS ALIVE . LOVE FOREVER AND MORE - A FAN.

Starset is an amazing band! I LOVE their cinematic rock sound. I'm glad I found them out on Pandora before I even knew they were opening for Breaking Benjamin so I was hella excited to get to see them. States you put on a great show, it was badass! I can't wait to see you sometime again. And thanks for taking a photo with me and signing my phone case. Will keep it framed. I love you guys! ❤

Saw Starset at Reverb in Reading, Pa on February 2, 2018. Was an awesome show and made for the best birthday ever! They sound as good on stage as they do on the radio and their stage show is amazing. I first saw them at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, Pa and have been hooked every since. I hope they are back in the area again soon, because I can not wait to see another show!

Starset Announces Summer 2022 Tour with Red

Starset just announced that they’ll be hitting the road again this summer on the second leg of their Horizons tour. The cinematic rock band will be supporting their recently released fourth studio album Horizon s, which released October 22, 2021.   

Christian hard rock band Red is set to directly support Starset on this leg of the tour, with special guests Fame on Fire (5/25-6/18), Smash into Pieces (5/25-6/15) and Oni (6/18-7/13) also scheduled to join. 

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 15th at 10am local time. You can find additional tour dates here .

THE STARSET band is going on tour starting April 22, 2022, which will take them around the US before moving on tour to Europe.

Starset is an electronic rock alternative band from Ohio and released their first album in 2013.

When will the Starset tour begin?

Starset will kick off their Horizons tour in New Hampshire on April 22, 2022.

The tour will extend through the beginning of July in the United States and then continue in Quebec, Canada .

They released their Horizons album in October 2021 and vocalist Dustin Bates said it was the sister album to their 2019 album, Divisions.

Bates said in an interview with Rock Sound , "In my eyes, these two albums are sisters, partially in sonics but more so in the narrative that the Starset universe has shifted into. ‘Divisions’ was the beginning of that, and ‘Horizons’ wraps it up.

"With this record being the sister to it, some elements are similar, but others are things we built off. So it all comes down to how it all blends, and ‘Divisions’ allowed us to do that."

STARSET Announces U.S. Spring Tour “Immersion: The Final Chapter”

Visionary cinematic rock collective Starset thrilled fans today with the announcement of their U.S. spring tour called, “Immersion: The Final Chapter” .

Known for their groundbreaking immersive live shows known as DEMONSTRATIONS, the tour is set to be Starset ‘s most impressive tour yet. Framed by a dystopian futuristic narrative, the theme of this latest set of DEMONSTRATIONS promises most-anticipated conclusions to narrative threads that have been woven into their multimedia experiences, through music, videos, and live performances.

Starset mastermind Dustin Bates also announced the release date for his second novel “A Brief History of the Future” that will launch on April 8, 2024 alongside the start of the tour. The book is the follow up to his debut “The PROX Transmissions” that released in 2016, with the popular Marvel graphic novel of the same name launching in 2017.

Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Starset + Lacey Sturm Announce Tour

Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Starset and Lacey Sturm are touring together in 2022

It’s gearing up to be a busy year for Breaking Benjamin, as the rock act is slated to appear at several music festivals in 2022, plus they just announced a major U.S. tour. The trek, which will see Breaking Benjamin closing out each night, will also feature support from Seether, Starset and Lacey Sturm.

The tour will include 17 stops, making its way across the U.S., starting with an April 22 date in Manchester, New Hampshire. The trek will wrap up in Savannah, Georgia on May 21.

Breaking Benjamin are touring behind their 2018 studio album “Ember.” The upcoming dates are part of a long list of tour dates they’ve played the past year, most recently an acoustic tour in late 2021 with guitarist Keith Wallen.

Shaun Morgan and the guys of Seether will be touring in support of their 2020 studio album, “Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum.” Starset is out behind their fourth studio record, “Horizons,” which arrived last year, and former Flyleaf singer Lacy Sturm is expected to perform a bevy of songs from her full career, in addition to her latest solo album, 2016’s “Life Screams.”

Starset Announce Late Fall 2021 Tour Dates

You can add Starset to the list of acts returning to the road in 2021. The space-focused outfit will be staging their latest round of demonstrations this fall in venues across the U.S.

The trek launches on Nov. 3 in Asheville, North Carolina with the group carrying over tour dates into mid-December before concluding the run Dec. 18 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dustin Bates and crew have been relatively quiet since touring in support of their 2019 Divisions album, but they did release the new song " Infected " back in April to celebrate the two-year anniversary of the Arknights video game release.

All dates, cities and venues for the band's fall demonstrations can be viewed below. Those interested in fan club/VIP packages can check in to the band's website this Wednesday (July 28) at 10AM local time to take advantage of that option. There will also be a Citi cardmember pre-sale starting today (July 27) at 12N ET and running through Thursday (July 29) at 10PM local time. Get details on that here . The general public on sale will start this Friday (July 30) at 10AM local time at this location .

Starset Reveal Major Summer 2022 ‘Horizons’ Tour

Who's ready for some new demonstrations? Starset will be spreading their transmissions to the masses this summer as they tour in support of their 2021 album, Horizons .

The band had already booked dates for the spring that kick off April 22 in Manchester, New Hampshire, but have now added onto their touring, taking them well into July, and they've also booked a September appearance at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival as well. You can see all of their dates listed below.

RED will join the group through the entirety of the newly added dates, while the opening slot on the tour is divided up amongst Fame on Fire, Smash Into Pieces and Oni.

Starset Brings The Horizons Tour To The House Of Blues Orlando

Orlando, fl (6/19/22).

Since their formation by singer Dustin Bates back in 2013, Starset has continued to grow and refine not only their sound but the band as well. Along with that growth has come a rise in their popularity with every album that they have released so far. From their first album Transmissions released back in 2013 to their latest effort Horizons they continue to carve out a very unique niche for themselves. They have created completely unique style and sound that Bates has informally dubbed cinematic rock, which references their integration of sounds such as symphonic, electronic, and riff driven rock. As is their sound is unique, so are their shows, which the band refers to as demonstrations.

While there may have been a certain stadium tour happening in Orlando, you wouldn’t have know it as the House Of Blues was packed for Starset’s latest demonstration. Then again, as the band hasn’t toured since 2019, except for a couple festival appearances and an ultra-exclusive acoustic tour, this would be the first time in a while that their fans would get a chance to see them in full effect.

With a white curtain covering the stage, lights started flashing on it as well as the bands stylized star symbol. Suddenly, everything went dark then cellist Zuzana Engererova and violinist Siobhan Richards started playing the intro to “Carnivore” as the curtain dropped. With the stage lit a deep blue against a backdrop of video screens playing futuristic imagery along with the lyrics to the song, It created a very striking effect. To add to the performance the band was also dressed in their latest post-apocalyptic outfits. Indeed the imagery was incredible and make no mistake though the music was easily on par.

While Starset released Divisions back in 2019 and they currently have their latest release Horizons out, the band opted not to make a setlist heavy on either album. Instead, they decided to treat the fans in attendance to a show featuring some of their biggest hits and pulled an equal number of songs from all of their albums. The first half of the demonstration, yes the show was divided into two distinct halves which is normal for their concerts, They loaded it up with some of their most popular songs such as “Echo”, “Trials”, “Manifest” and “Monster”. Throughout all the songs every member played their part perfectly. Guitarist Brock Richard provided the right amount of muscle, while bassist Ron DeChant and drummer Adam Gilbert anchored things solidly. Of course the intense light show and smoke was synchronized to all this perfectly.

The first half closed out with “It Has Begun”, then the band left the stage and a clock counting down was displayed. As the clock wound down to the last seconds the audience counted down with it. As it hit zero the lights went dim and Engererova and Siobhan Richards appeared on platforms on opposite sides of the stage. Bathed under blue spotlights they started things off together then Richards played a beautiful violin solo. Afterwards the rest of band reappeared and a cheer erupted. During the break, the band changed outfits. DeChant and Brock Richards were wearing the all too familiar ‘astronaut’ outfits, while Bates had changed to a black outfit as did Engererova and Siobhan Richards. They kicked things off with “Satellite” one of the singles off of Vessels.

During this part of the show Dustin Bates thanked everyone for showing up and told everyone that he had been waiting a long time to tell everyone that their fans were the best in rockdom. He went on to say that these demonstrations are an eclectic event. Then he asked the audience how many metal heads he are here, of course Bates was greeted by a loud cheer. He then asked how many of you are nerds and dorks, once again another loud cheer erupted. Bates then said how many events can you be at where so many people self-ascribe to being dorks which generated a hearty laugh. He then let everyone know that the next song would be the live debut, they quickly launched into “Icarus”. They closed out the night with an incredible performance of “My Demons” replete with an incredible light show and smoke canons.

With the release of each album, Starset has grown in stature. The vision that Dustin Bates has had for the band has become more fleshed out. With each successive tour they have added more to their shows whether it be lighting, orchestral music, or visuals to help bring their concepts and storyline to life. Tonight’s show was no exception and on this tour they are clearly at their best. Soon enough they will be able to take things to the arena level, so catch them now while their shows are more intimate.
