The all-new Barbie Dreamhouse living pop-up truck is coming to SoCal beginning Saturday. The 2023 Barbie Truck Tour is back with a whole new look, kicking off with three stops in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Ready for an explosion of pink? 2023 Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour to visit Austin

It's probably the most iconic pink house in the world.

Celebrate 60 years of Barbie’s Dreamhouse as the 2023 Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour drives its way into Austin this Saturday, Oct. 7.

The pop-up truck will stop at The Domain on Rogers Road and Century Oaks across from Starbucks. It will offer exclusive merchandise for the 60 th anniversary of Barbie moving into her first Dreamhouse. Barbie first moved into her Dreamhouse in 1962.

The truck will offer new apparel, home goods and accessories including graphic tees, hoodies, baseball caps, totes and more. Barbie fans can also take photos and selfies with the colorful backdrop.

A different kind of cat cafe: Hello Kitty Cafe Truck coming to Austin

After stopping in Austin, the tour will stop in Friendswood on Oct. 21 and Houston on Oct. 28.

It is just the latest in pop-up trucks to stop in Austin with the  Hello Kitty Cafe Truck  coming to the Domain the following week on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Seeing pink: Barbie truck tour rolls into Orange County

The hype of director Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” movie, which hit theaters on July 21, has many brands seeing pink. With perfect timing, the Barbie Truck Tour will cruise back into Orange County hot on the (high) heels of the film’s box office success.

“With the movie coming out, it was this crazy union of many things,” said Barbie Truck Tour co-founder Urania Chien. “With all the Barbie marketing going on we feel like we are in this little Barbie capsule. It is really cool to be a part of that.”

Urania and her husband and co-founder, Charlie Chien, are bringing the 2023 West Coast Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour to Irvine Spectrum on July 29 and Fashion Island in Newport Beach on July 30. Barbie fans can find all new exclusive merchandise on the truck, which coincides with the 60th anniversary of Barbie moving into her very first Dreamhouse.

“We incorporated a lot of housewares, if you will,” said Charlie.

Mattel released the first Barbie Dreamhouse in 1962, at a time when women in the United States were unable to open their own bank accounts and only 0.1% of women were independent homeowners. The Barbie Dreamhouse has undergone many remodels over the years and constantly gets updated to reflect current architectural and interior design trends.

The truck will have plush throw blankets, mugs, pink glass tumblers and Barbie coasters, which the Chiens said were their most popular item at this year’s Barbie convention.

“They were selling like crazy at the Barbie convention,” said Urania, “and it turns out that this coaster is the perfect size to be a rug for Barbie.”

The truck will also have apparel, like a lavender denim jacket, hoodie, graphic T-shirt and baseball cap.

The Chiens are also the team behind the successful Hello Kitty Cafe pop-up.

“The Hello Kitty Cafe is based more on food and that experience of sitting down and having afternoon tea,” said Urania. “Since Barbie is so toy driven, it is a different feel.”

The Chiens said creating the Barbie truck was about getting the experience out to cities that don’t get access to the bigger markets where you see more Barbie pop-ups happening.

“We wanted to create this truck to go around the county and to meet fans in person,” said Charlie.

The Hello Kitty Cafe found a permanent home at Irvine Spectrum Center, and the Chiens said they can’t say if the Barbie truck may park permanently too.

“There is nothing planned, there is nothing to announce,” said Charlie, “but there is always a ‘stay tuned.’”

The Barbie Truck Tour has been around since 2019, when the partners built the first of three iterations of the truck.

“We first launched in Kansas City for Barbie’s 60th anniversary,” said Urania. “Every iteration since has been a call back to Barbie and her legacy.”

The first truck tour highlighted the Barbie of the 1980s and early 1990s, with merchandise that leaned into the ’80s, like a Barbie fanny pack.

“It was a touch space for the fans that grew up with Barbie,” said Urania.

The second tour in 2021 focused on Malibu Barbie, released in 1971 with a suntan and long, blond, straight hair. The design of the truck was reminiscent of the 1970s surf vibe, with merchandise to match.

“The tote bag we did was a burlap tote, so more of a beach bag,” said Urania.

The Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour stops at Irvine Spectrum Center on July 29 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Giant Wheel Court and on July 30 at Fashion Island, Newport Beach from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. in the Neiman Marcus Courtyard.

The stops this weekend are sure to draw Barbie fans before the truck heads to Burbank on Aug. 5 at Burbank Town Center near Macy’s.

“As you age, you stop playing with dolls,” said Urania. “The thing with Barbie is it such a core memory for so many people that they still want to be a part it.”

The Barbie Truck Tour from Mattel is a colorful truck that drives across the United States selling exclusive Barbie Dreamhouse Living merchandise.

The Barbie Truck Totally Throwback Tour started in Los Angeles in 2019. Since then there was the Barbie Truck Totally Throwback Malibu Tour, and the truck has been redesigned for this year. The Dreamhouse Living Tour theme coincides with the 60 th anniversary of Barbie moving into her first Dreamhouse.

The Barbie Truck Tour will stop in three Arizona cities: Glendale, Gilbert and Tucson.

Life on the Go offerings include a clear mug covered in flowers, a pink corduroy tote bag, a thermal bottle and a glass tumbler.

Prices range from $12 to $75, and the truck takes credit cards only.

The 2023 Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour is heading to New York and New Jersey with all-new, exclusive merchandise on the heels of the 60th Anniversary of Barbie moving into her very first Dreamhouse.

OXNARD, California.—The 2023 Barbie Truck Totally Throwback Malibu Tour rolled into Oxnard over the weekend.

Barbie fans of all ages waited in line to browse through the array of 70s themed Barbie beach apparel and accessories.

These goodies included a Malibu Barbie polaroid camera, embroidered denim jacket, pink hoodie, and enamel pins.

Bucket hats were a huge hit with kids and adults alike.

Many came “dolled” up in full Barbie glam.

Following Oxnard, the Barbie Truck will continue to travel to different cities throughout the U.S.

Barbie Truck Tour coming to Las Vegas Saturday

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Barbie Truck is coming to Summerlin on Saturday, August 19.

As the 60th anniversary of Barbie comes on the heels of the now billion-dollar Barbie movie, the Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour is coming to the Las Vegas Valley.

The truck will park at the Macy's Promenade on 1980 Festival Plaza. It will remain there with merchandise from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. with prices ranging from $12-$75.

Not ready to say goodbye to Barbie Girl summer? The movie may have hit theaters July 21, but don't worry, there's still plenty to look forward to in the dream world — like Mattel's Dreamhouse Living Barbie Truck Tour.

South Jersey will be ready to live in Barbie World when the truck stops at the Cherry Hill Mall on October 14.

Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour EAST - Cherry Hill Appearance

Guests can strut to the Cherry Hill tour stop from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the food court entrance for a glimpse of the vibrant pink and floral truck as well as a chance to snag exclusive tour merch.

The " Dreamhouse Living Tour ," offering exclusive merchandise, is part of the rollout for the live-action "Barbie" movie. There are three catalogues available: "Dream Wear," which boasts Barbie-themed denim jackets and the like; "Life on the Go," with Barbie-pink water bottles or mugs; and "Playful Accessories," for makeup cases, see-through hot pink clutches, and anything else you need to live out your Barbie dreams.

Other items include T-shirts, hoodies, hats, throw blankets, jewelry and more. The Barbie Truck only takes credit cards.

Barbie fanatics can keep up with the tour on its socials and mark their calendars for a mid-October pink pick-me-up.

Attention all Barbie fans!

The Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour is making its way to Omaha.

On May 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the truck will be at Village Point in the parking lot just south of Old Navy.

The tour is in honor of the 60th anniversary of Barbie moving into her first Dreamhouse.

Barbie's Dreamhouse has been a popular must for the icon, and as she changes, so do her surroundings. The Dreamhouse has undergone several remodels over the years to keep up with current trends.

The truck will be selling a wide variety of Barbie merchandise, including graphic T-shirts, plates, pet bowls, glass mugs, jewelry, and more.

Those who make a $40 or more purchase will also get a free gift.

'Barbie' concert tour scraps Pine Knob show, most of summer trek

Fans will have to 'dance the night' somewhere else..

Barbie won't be heading to Pine Knob this summer after all.

The touring "Barbie The Movie: In Concert" event, which was set to play Pine Knob on Aug. 10, has been canceled, according to an announcement on the event's Ticketmaster page . No reason was given for the cancellation.

The local concert was part of a planned 37-city tour featuring live music from the Barbie Land Sinfonietta, an all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra, while the 2023 blockbuster was set to play on an LED screen set up above the stage.

As of Monday, all but three of the tour dates have been canceled, according to online listings for the individual concerts. Shows still remain in Greenwood Village, Colorado, (July 17); Holmdel, New Jersey, (Aug. 17) and at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California (July 27).

The tour was announced in March and was set to kick off July 2 in Tampa.

Refunds for ticket buyers will be issued to the original method of payment and should appear within 14-21 days, according to a message on the event's Ticketmaster page.

"Barbie" was released in July 2023 and was the year's highest grossing movie, earning $636 million at the North American box office and $1.4 billion worldwide. It was nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and won Best Original Song for Billie Eilish's "What Was I Made For?"
