American songwriter, singer, producer, and guitarist Chris Stapleton has had a long journey in the music industry. His work is considered a return to the pure art that country music once was: gritty, soulful, and blues-tinged storytelling in musical form...

...with as many foot-stomping songs as mournful tales of sorrow.

Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Stapleton would later move to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a degree in engineering. Instead of finishing his degree, he decided to drop out and focus on his true love — music. While Stapleton is known today for his own hit albums, he began as a contracted songwriter. Even after achieving fame as a musician in his own right, his way with words keeps top talent asking for him by name By 2018, Stapleton had written and co-written over 170 songs, including numerous number-one country hits.

Songs attributed to Stapleton’s genius writing skills include Kenny Chesney’s number-one “Never Wanted Nothing More,” Luke Bryan’s “Drink a Beer,” and Josh Turner’s “Your Man.” In addition to working with many of the top names in the country music industry, Stapleton has also written songs for Adele, Taylor Swift, and Kelly Clarkson.

Before taking center stage as a solo artist, Chris Stapleton was the frontman for two different bands. His first band was a bluegrass ensemble called The SteelDrivers, which he performed with from 2008 to 2010. The band won numerous accolades, including Emerging Artist of the Year from the International Bluegrass Music Association and Best Bluegrass Album. Stapleton went on to lead a second band, The Jompson Brothers, before recording his own solo record.

In 2015, Chris Stapleton broke onto the scene with his debut solo studio album Traveller. This album topped the US Billboard 200 charts and earned a number of CMA nominations. With the release of this album, Chris also earned Best Male Vocalist, New Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Next, Chris would go on to release two more studio albums in 2017: From a Room: Volume 1 and Volume 2. These albums would earn him a slew of additional awards, including his second CMA Award for Album of the Year.

Immediately after this dual release, Stapleton began his All-American Road Show tour. Then, in August 2020, he released his most recent award-winning album Starting Over. This album features the soulful and haunting country-meets-folk music for which the artist is known.

In 2021, Stapleton won Song of the Year and Single of the Year for “Starting Over” at the Country Music Awards. He also won album of the year for Starting Over, as well as additional awards for his work as a producer on the album. In 2022, he took home three awards at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, earning an award for every category in which he was nominated. He also performed at the event, showcasing his incredible on-stage presence.

For those lucky enough to catch one of Stapleton’s tour dates, the artist delivers a memorable experience. Stapleton’s wife Morgane often accompanies him onstage, adding beautiful, harmonious vocals to his soulful sets. It’s not just Stapleton’s musical talent that draws fans to his shows; it’s the sense of community he creates. The southern-born and raised artist is known for personally checking in on his fans, even going as far as offering water to those dancing along to his tunes.

Stapleton continues to tour in 2023, with shows spanning the US, including tour dates in Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Arizona.

Live reviews

“It looks like we’re going to have some fun tonight.” Those words were obviously meant for the packed house at the El Rey Theatre in Chico, California, but Chris Stapleton couldn’t take his eyes off his wife when he spoke them. Concealing his true identity behind a grizzly mane and a weathered cowboy hat, the newly-crowned savior of country music seemed just a little uncomfortable in his own skin. It was almost as if he were convincing himself that it was going to be an enjoyable set. When he did expose his wide eyes to the crowd, apprehension could be read loud and clear, but then he’d turn them back to Morgane and let her reflection ease his nerves. She provided backup vocals and made her tambourine sing, but just like Amanda Shires at those Jason Isbell shows in Nashville, Morgane Stapleton’s primary role was that of a muse. Performing in front of an old movie screen, while a sold-out crowd sang every word back at them, the Stapletons must have felt like they were characters in some film themselves. - See more at: http://ilistensoyoudonthaveto.com/2015/11/16/chris-stapleton-el-rey-theatre-11-13-15/#sthash.1GXWlcBl.dpuf

Best night ever! Brett Cobb, Marty Stewart and the Superlatives, then Chris Stapleton!!! The roof was raised by their awesome sound and the crowd singing along to almost every tune. Chris seemed genuinely appreciative of his warm welcome! Seems like such a humble gentleman who stands and delivers with his whole heart. And, what a musician!!! His soulful voice and wailing guitar is mesmerizing! The band is super tight! He calls them his favorite musicians in the world, and they deserve this honor in the highest degree. I am so happy my husband and I will be going to the show in NH on 8/25! And thanks to the nice guy who convinced the tall seat jumpers to move so we could see the show!

Chris is a fine songwriter and even better performer. Great show. And I can’t be the only one to be somewhat disappointed that the opening couple of minutes of Freebird didn’t progress into a full blown cover. Marty Stuart was good too. But the venue needs some logistic reorganization big time. Well over an hour and a half to get from the turn off from highway to our seats. A distance of half a mile if that. Over 30 minutes to get through security. And going home was just as bad. Lots of staff but no plan for them to follow whatsoever. Won’t be going back. If Chris is playing I may make an exception, but not for anyone else.

Fantastic show with Joe Walsh, Don Henley, James Taylor, & Chris Stapleton at the Tacoma Dome on Veterans' Day. I didn't realize when I bought my tickets that it was a benefit show; it was really fun.

Chris (and all the performers) played mostly crowd pleasers. Chris sounded just like he does recorded - no better or worse (not complaining). I thought he'd be performing with his wife as back-up, but he had a full band. It would have been fun to hear one or two songs with just him and a backup singer, but maybe it wouldn't have worked well in a big arena show.

Moments before he was to perform the rain came and soaked most. That did not dampen the spirit of the fans. He sang some new songs from new album with Chris style and also included all our favourites. Ended with Tenessee Whiskey. He is an awesome talent guitar playing srcond to none. His live performance did not disappoint he and what we found out, his wife and two brithers were the other band members. Do not change a thing it was an excellent performance even with the rain.

Chris is an immensely talented singer, writer and musician. What he is not: is a performer.

He probably didn't move more that 24" all night. If he was wearing a Fitbit, he probably only had 12 steps and those were accumulated going on and coming off stage.

Red Rocks is a near-perfect setting for a show and the weather was amazing, but for $90/ ticket I'd like something more than I could experience just listening to his music in my car.

It was a fantastic show! Chris was on fire! The opening act was Kendall Marvel and then Brothers Osborne! Everyone was great! Brothers Osborne are truly bad to the bone! Then Mickey Raphael shows up with Chris! Mickey is a living legend! Best concert I’ve seen! So glad that I was able to attend! Chris is probably one of the most talented guys I have ever had the privilege of hearing! It was worth every penny!

That was 1 of the best "mellow" concerts I've ever seen. His voice is enough to send chills - truly amazing! From his shock at the crowds excitement to his humble gratitude I can truly say that I will definitely be going to another Chris Stapleton show. The best was his introduction of his band- the words/lyrics were so personal and funny and actually had us all wanting more!

Loved the show. I knew appreciated your voice and songwriting, but I was also wowed by your ability to play the guitar. My only disappintment was my favorite tune, What are You Listening To, did not make the show. I know it is impossible to cover everything, but I wanted you to know, women love that song. Thank you for a wonderful show. Hope to see you again soon!

It was amazing. His voice is soothing to my soul and such a treat for your ears. His prebands, Brothers Osborne and Kendell Marvel were so good, too. They had great voices and all 3 were so amazing on their instruments. I love when bands kill it on their guitars, drums, and pianos and you can not get much better than what we saw. Loved every bit of the bands.

Chris Stapleton Is Top Winner at ACM Awards, Performs 'Think I'm In Love With You with Dua Lipa

The awards add to yet another landmark year for Stapleton, who took home two awards at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

19x ACM Award-winner Chris Stapleton was the top winner at the 59th Annual ACM Awards with four wins: Album of the Year (Higher, as artist and producer), Male Artist of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. Stapleton also performed his song, “Think I’m In Love With You,” with surprise special guest Dua Lipa during the live show.

The awards add to yet another landmark year for Stapleton, who took home two awards at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards, collaborated with Slash (“ Oh Well ”) and George Strait (“Honky Tonk Hall of Fame”) and released a version of Tom Petty’s “ I Should Have Known It ” for the forthcoming Tom Petty tribute album. He also recently returned to NBC’s “ Saturday Night Live ” for the third time as musical guest and performed on ABC’s “ Jimmy Kimmel Live! ” and “ The Jennifer Hudson Show .”

The recent appearances celebrate Stapleton’s new album, Higher, which was released this past fall to overwhelming critical acclaim (Mercury Nashville, stream/purchase  here ). Produced by Dave Cobb, Morgane Stapleton and Chris Stapleton, the album was recorded at Nashville’s RCA Studio A and landed on several “Best of 2023” lists including Rolling Stone, Billboard, Esquire, Vulture and many more.

Known for his electric live performances, the 10x GRAMMY, 16x CMA and 19x ACM Award-winner is in the midst of his extensive “All-American Road Show,” which includes upcoming stops at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl (two nights), Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena (two nights), Philadelphia’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion and Arlington’s Globe Life Field as well as dates across the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. He will also join George Strait for several stadium shows this year. See below for complete tour itinerary.

One of the country’s most respected and beloved musicians, Stapleton was named Entertainer of the Year at last year’s 58th ACM Awards—resulting in a prestigious ACM Triple Crown Award—and was named Male Vocalist of the Year for the seventh time at the 57th CMA Awards this past fall, breaking his own record for most wins ever in the category. Additionally, he performed the National Anthem at 2023’s Super Bowl LVII and has collaborated in recent years with Adele, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, P!nk, Sheryl Crow, Santana and many more.

Higher follows 2020’s acclaimed Starting Over, which won three awards at the 67th Annual GRAMMYs: Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance (“You Should Probably Leave”) and Best Country Song (“Cold”) in addition to earning Album of the Year honors at both the CMA and ACM Awards. Called a “a sure-footed masterpiece” by the Associated Press, the album landed on “Best of 2020” lists at NPR Music, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Esquire, Vulture, The Tennessean and The New York Times, who declared, “Chris Stapleton’s roar isn’t designed to scare you off. It’s regal, an announcement of an alpha figure asserting his primacy…on this, his fourth album, the thrill is back.” Prior to Starting Over, Stapleton released a pair of Platinum-certified releases in 2017—From A Room: Volume 1 and From A Room: Volume 2—as well as his x5 Platinum breakthrough solo debut album in 2015, Traveller.

In addition to their work as musicians, the Stapletons are founders of the Outlaw State of Kind charitable fund, which supports a variety of causes that are close to their heart. Stapleton also recently unveiled his new Traveller Whiskey, a first-of-its-kind collaboration created in partnership with Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley.

Country giant Chris Stapleton and pop princess Dua Lipa recently teamed for a version of Stapleton’s song “Think I’m In Love With You” on an award show – and fans and critics so celebrated it that a live recording of the soulful collaboration is now available on streaming services.

Stapleton’s solo version of “Think I’m In Love With You” is on his 2023 album “Higher,” and Lipa told Billboard she wanted to jump on the song with him because she’s “a massive fan.”

“He’s a master of his craft, and I’ve just been a fan of his for so long, and I’ve had the opportunity to just sit down and brainstorm ideas on how we can reimagine the song for tonight, and bring something really special and unique…it’s one of those moments in my life where I’m so happy to be a musician and be creating something and doing something that feels so exciting,” she said.

Stapleton told Entertainment that the two had a few conversations leading up to the performance but very little rehearsal time to work out the kinks.

“I think she threw herself into the mix,” Stapleton said. “We got on the phone and talked about it and worked on it a little bit. We really only kind of put together what we did like two days ago… It was kind of a whirlwind of a thing to do — but it was awesome.”

In addition to Stapleton and Lipa, the recording also includes Stapleton’s band, The Honchos, as well as a 13-piece string section.

Stapleton will resume his touring schedule on May 22 with a sold-out show at The Monument in Rapid City, South Dakota. The months-long run includes stadium shows with George Strait and Little Big Town along with a slew of dates in the United Kingdom. Stapleton will head to Australia next yer

Billed as the “King and Queen of Gospel Country,” the Americana act consists of Trotter and his wife, Tanya. They will open for Chris Stapleton during his All-American Road Show stop on May 31 at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls .

It’s been quite a recent stretch for the award-winning Michigan duo.

In 2023, the act released its major-label debut album, “Lover’s Game.”

Also, The War and Treaty earned an Academy of Country Music nomination for Duo of the Year (the first Black duo to be nominated), as well as their first Grammy Award nominations for Best American Roots Song and Best New Artist.

Founded in 2014, the outfit also recently released two new singles, “Stealing a Kiss” and “Leads Me Home.”

We recently caught up with the Trotters during a tour stop in Frisco, Texas.

Q Hello, Trotters. Watching you this winter on the Grammy Awards took me back to The War and Treaty playing a living room concert in a Northeast Ohio home.

Michael: I’ve done several living room concerts in Cleveland because I grew up on the East Side — Harvard, Lee and Miles. I remember doing a living room concert around my grandmother’s neighborhood. It was so awesome, there were so many people in there. We had a blast — we blew their ears out. We had an entire rock band in that living room. It just felt good. I didn’t want to leave. And the next time we came back to Cleveland was opening for Valerie June playing the Beachland Ballroom. That, too, was a lot of fun.

Q Congratulations regarding “Lover’s Game,” which attracted quite the country music following.

Tanya: We were just talking about how music has just matriculated into a genre that we kind of always had our foot in but really we didn’t pay attention. The fact is when you have Emmylou Harris on your first record, “Healing Tide,” you’re actually stepping into country music in a huge way. We actually just wrote a record we love. We didn’t look at it like, “Oh, we’re trying to get into country music.” And, of course, we had our gospel sound and our voices. So it’s surprising because we kind of had our foot in a genre that we didn’t really anticipate would receive us.

Michael: It’s surprising, I can’t believe they like us.

Q As far as influential musical moments for Michael growing up in Cleveland, what shows stand out?

Michael: I’ve seen some concerts in Cleveland. The very first concert was Michael Jackson at the Richfield Coliseum. But I’ll tell you the concerts that impressed me each night were the ones you would never know about. My first school was Moses Cleaveland Elementary School, which was directly across the street from my house. I couldn’t go to sleep at night because the neighborhood winos, the drunkards, were in the schoolyard singing Johnny Cash. This is the ghetto, bro. This is the hood of Cleveland. I’m talking about potholes and bullet holes in our home. Across the street from me was a boarded-up home for drugs. But in the midst of all this, the Black-est, ghetto-ist guys, drunk, were singing John Cash’s “Ring of Fire” and Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again.” They’re singing George Jones and Charlie Pride. They’re only singing country music, and they look like me. That’s when I first got infected with the power of a story. A story doesn’t care what color you are.

Q So what would those cats think about the success of The War and Treaty?

Michael: I don’t have to guess because (one of them)talks about every show we do and (another) looks at every appearance we have on a country music awards show. They have one word — pride. They can’t believe it. And they keep asking me to put them on stage.

Q Finally, will they be singing with The War & Treaty at the upcoming Blossom Music Center show?

Michael: I keep telling them, “Hell, no,” but they are so proud.

Chris Stapleton took home four awards at the 2024 ACM Awards Thursday night (May 16), but he may as well have won a fifth: best-kept secret, which he unofficially earned for his surprise duet with Dua Lipa during the ceremony.

Here Are the 2024 ACM Awards Winners: Complete List

After the performance, Stapleton revealed on the Winner’s Walk carpet that he was almost equally surprised to see the duet materialize, telling Billboard ‘s Melinda Newman that it came together in as little as two days.

“[Lipa] contacted the ACMs, and the ACMs contacted us,” he said, noting the “Houdini” singer’s dedication to making the partnership happen. “She’s very busy promoting her own record [ Radical Optimism ] right now. We kind of created this thing together in the last two days.”

Lipa also opened up to Billboard about the performance after the show, which was produced by Dick Clark Productions. “Lots of zip-up hoodies and running in and out of the arena [were involved],” she told reporter Lyndsey Havens of how she kept her appearance under wraps. “We were all so in on making sure that this stays a surprise to make the moment even more special. I don’t know how we did it, I’m glad we did it because it’s really special when it happened tonight on stage.”

In addition to performing, Stapleton also won male artist of the year, artist-songwriter of the year and album of the year for his 2023 record Higher at the ACMs. When Billboard asked him and his wife/collaborator Morgane which pop artist the country star would like to work with next, he replied, “I’d always say someone like Paul McCartney.”

He then added, “Harry Styles. [Morgane has] mentioned [him] a few times.”

Carin León Is Bringing Música Mexicana and Country Ever Closer

“There are no limits for music,” the Mexican singer-songwriter said. “There’s just good music and bad music.”

A close-up of a bearded man in sunglasses and a green ball cap bringing his fingers together at his chin.

By Craig Marks

Reporting from Beverly Hills, Calif.

In January 2023, the música Mexicana star Carin León was preparing for a concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena when he decided he needed to do something special for an encore.

León grew up in Hermosillo, the capital city of Sonora, Mexico, about 250 miles from Tucson, Ariz. Music was always playing around his home, often from border radio stations that piped in a wide variety of American hits, and his father was known to listen to David Allen Coe’s “Tennessee Whiskey” on cassette over and over.

“Me and my brother would sing the song as kids, but we would make up different lyrics because we didn’t know English back then,” León said. The country giant Chris Stapleton turned his R&B-slow-dance cover of “Tennessee Whiskey” into a career breakthrough, and León, a Stapleton superfan, worked up his own powerfully soulful version for the largely Latino audience in Nashville.

“The next day, the performance went viral,” León said. “People were saying, he can sing country music, he can sing in English. So that gave me a little spark.”

León, 34, was already a Latin Grammy-winning artist with billions of streams on Spotify before he covered “Tennessee Whiskey” — and before he released bilingual collaborations with the country star Kane Brown and the soul singer Leon Bridges ; wrote with the Nashville veterans Jon Pardi, Cody Johnson and Natalie Hemby; earned a standing ovation at the Grand Ole Opry with a set entirely in Spanish; became the first Latin artist to perform at both the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals; and opened for the Rolling Stones in early May.

“My comfort zone is being outside of my comfort zone,” León said from his shopping-bag-strewn suite at a swank Beverly Hills hotel in California, his girlfriend and team at his side. “There are no limits for music. There’s just good music and bad music.”

Alongside Peso Pluma , Grupo Frontera, Fuerza Regida, Natanael Cano and Eslabon Armado, León is part of a wave of artists who have lifted música Mexicana — an umbrella phrase encompassing Mexican genres like norteño, banda, ranchera, grupera, mariachi and corridos tumbados — to new heights of popularity in the United States. (León famously rejected a more restrictive term for the genre, “regional Mexican,” when he wore a T-shirt at an awards show that featured a four-letter expletive before the word “regional.”)

Among those artists, León is perhaps both the most traditional — eschewing youthful hip-hop leanings or reggaeton rhythms for organic, hand-played instrumentation and romantic balladry — and also the most naturally progressive, a supremely gifted singer who blows through musical and cultural divides with fearlessness and determination.

“Carin breaks all the rules,” Edgar Barrera , the Latin super-producer and León’s frequent collaborator, said in a video interview. “Regional Mexican music has always been looked down on. It’s seen as very rural. Carin is like, ‘We’re a lot more global than you think.’”

Música Mexicana and country music share much in common, despite the seeming cultural and political divisions between the fan bases. Streaming has raised the visibility of both genres, turning what were previously considered provincial musics into commercial forces. The American cowboy, so much a part of the iconography and outlaw ethos of country music, is based on the Mexican vaquero. “That deadly 2,000-mile border along the southern part of the States has been a zone of cultural exchange for hundreds of years,” said Nadine Hubbs, a University of Michigan professor and author of the forthcoming book “Border Country: Mexico, America, and Country Music.”

At Stagecoach, backed by his 20-plus-piece band from Hermosillo, León wore chaps and a Tejana hat (akin to a Stetson) and took swigs from a bottle of bacanora, the once-outlawed Sonoran cousin to mezcal and tequila. His set included a cover of Johnny Cash’s “Man in Black.”

Troy Tomlinson, chairman and chief executive of Universal Music Publishing Group Nashville, which signed León in 2023, said that “authenticity and humility” are what generally move country music fans, and León possesses both in spades. “I’ve been going to the Opry since I was 10 years old, and his was one of the most moving shows I’ve ever seen,” he said. Tomlinson believes the evening marked a turning point in Nashville’s tortoise-slow evolution in accepting nonwhite artists into its fold.

“I admit — for the first 30 years of my career, I always thought of everything in genre boxes,” he said. “But younger audiences, and streaming, have begun to change this town.”

Since the 1970s, a small number of Mexican American artists — most prominently Johnny Rodriguez, Freddy Fender, Linda Ronstadt and Rick Trevino — found success in country music, singing primarily in English. Wyatt Flores , a rising Mexican American singer-songwriter, performed at Stagecoach on the same day as León. And amid a growing movement in and around Nashville to promote artists of color, Beyoncé and Shaboozey each held the top spot on Billboard’s hot country songs chart .

Institutional racism still plagues Nashville, but, Tomlinson said, “I can’t tell you how many people in the industry called me the day after they saw my photo with Carin from the Opry and said, ‘Tell me more about this.’”

Over the course of his solo career, which has included four albums, León has collaborated with numerous Latin acts, including the Colombian stars Camilo and Maluma, Grupo Firme from Tijuana, Mexico, Grupo Frontera from Texas and the boundary-pushing Spanish rapper C. Tangana . León credits Tangana for inspiring him to take risks. “For years, I wasn’t happy doing the music I was doing,” he explained from the back of a black S.U.V., en route to perform “It was Always You (Siempre Fuiste Tú),” his feathery duet with Bridges, on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” “I wasn’t happy with my relationships. I was angry about life.” Everything changed, he said, “when I started to do the music I wanted to do.”

León has always been a polymath. He studied opera in high school and loved hard rock singers with big, flowery voices: Queen’s Freddie Mercury, Journey’s Steve Perry , Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson. (When we spoke, he was contemplating covering Maiden’s “Run to the Hills” or “The Trooper” for the Rolling Stones gig.) “When I was a teenager, I was in a cover band called Angry Beaver,” he said with a grin. He was playing in a norteño group at the time. But singing toe-curling heavy metal “was therapy for me.”

Barrera described León’s voice as very emotional. “The high notes he hits are very high and the low notes are very low,” he said. “It’s unusual in our genre for a singer to show such range.” Brown, who sang with León on the lilting, reggae-tinged “The One (Pero No Como Yo),” called his collaborator’s voice “amazing”: “Carin can do whatever he wants.”

Fittingly, León is about to confound expectations yet again. Before he sets out on an arena tour that will bring him to Madison Square Garden in October, he’s releasing the first of what he said will be three albums in 2024. He said the making of the 19-song “Boca Chueca Vol. 1” (“Crooked Mouth,” a reference to his habit of curling his lip when he sings) was cathartic.

“I say a lot of stuff that I was never capable of saying before, about me, about the genre. I’m embracing my demons. It’s like” — he paused to find a word — “vomit for me. I need to get it out.” The full album, due Friday, includes a guitar-driven track called “Frené Mis Pies” that sounds like a transmission from a 1980s heartland rock CD. “It’s Carin at 15,” he said gleefully.

León can barely keep track of his musical explorations, at one point in the conversation casually mentioning a duet with the rising country star Lainey Wilson, at another slipping in the fact that he worked with Kid Harpoon, a producer for Harry Styles. Barrera described a song that may or may not be on one of the “Boca Chueca” releases as “disco meets regional Mexican.” Such creative promiscuity is paying dividends; León and his label, Socios Music, are reportedly poised to strike a lucrative joint-venture deal with a major record company.

“I want Mexican music to be so much bigger,” León said. “That’s my mission. I want people to open their minds and their ears.” But mostly, he concluded, “I just want to make music I like.”

An earlier version of this article misstated the length of the southern border of the United States. It is 2,000 miles long, not 200.

The 22-year-old singer and songwriter Wyatt Flores makes music that touches listeners deeply. But his own trauma — coupled with his rapid rise  — has thrown some bumps in the road.

Zach Bryan’s country-rock-adjacent rumbles have made him one of music’s most popular new stars . On the first night of his arena tour, he showcased his bond with the fans that brought him there.

Jelly Roll, one of 2023’s surprise success stories in the music industry, has become known as much for emotional openness as for hit songs .

CMAT, whose real name is Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, combines country music’s enduring themes of heartbreak and self-destruction with camp humor and a distinctly Irish sense of the absurd .
