Long Travel Kit

 Description

The Dirt King long travel kit was developed to drastically improve the vehicles off-road handling without compromising its day to day driving characteristics. This suspension system allows for 12” of travel and accepts up to a 37” tire. The kit is compatible with 2WD models and 4WD models along with the purchase of extended axle shafts. Our upper and lower arms are designed with 1” stainless steel uniballs for the outer pivots instead of ball joints for strength and increased articulation. The suspension system allows for bypass shocks to be added or can adapt to the factory sway bar. This kit is CAD designed, thoroughly tested, and 100% made in America resulting in a product we’re proud to put our name on!

Shocks For the best performance and to achieve the full 12” of travel you must purchase our spec built shocks or have them custom built based on our coil over spec sheet. These shocks will only work on 2WD models. For 4WD models you must use King or Fox OEM replacement coilovers with 700lb springs. Our long travel kit is also tabbed to accommodate bypass shocks.  The bypass shocks will allow for superior suspension dampening and tunability. To mount the bypasses we offer a weld on bypass shock hoop kit that can be purchased separately. The bypass shock hoop kit requires welding and modifications to the frame. The bypasses be used with both the 2WD and 4WD shocks.

Wheel Travel When shopping long travel kits many consumers tend to focus just on travel numbers. This is the reason many companies claim inaccurate numbers or don’t disclose the amount of work involved to achieve these numbers. Our goal is to build a suspension system with the highest amount of wheel travel without requiring major modifications to the vehicle or compromising its overall drivability.

Tire Info When using 37” tires with this kit modifications to the wheel well will need to be made. The firewall pinch weld will need to be folded over and front cab mount needs to be shaved to avoid contact while turning. The upper wheel well will also need to be modified to avoid contact at full bump.

Shipping & Delivery Dirt King ships their products within the United States and Internationally. Most products ship via UPS or USPS. Orders that exceed $500 require a signature confirmation. On bulk orders contact Dirt King for a freight quote. The customer is responsible for import taxes and fees on international shipments.

Damaged or Missing Parts In an instance where you receive a damaged package a claim must be made with Dirt King. The claim can be submitted by sending an email to [email protected] containing photos of the damaged packages and damaged products. The email must also include your order number as well. Do not discard any of the original packaging or try installing the products.

While every precaution is taken there could be a case where you are missing parts. If this happens please send an email to [email protected] with your order number, list of missing parts, photo of the package or packages, and a photo of the quality control tag located on the back of the box.

If the shipping carrier losses your package please contact Dirt King. A claim will be filled with the shipping carrier. Unfortunately, we do not have much control over this situation and must wait for the carrier to process the claim.

Freight Shipping The customer must contact Dirt King to arrange for freight shipping. Dirt King will palletize the order and the customer can deal directly with the freight carrier if preferred. The shipment can be delivered to a home or business. The customer must be present for the delivery to inspect and sign for the package. Before signing confirm that you received all items listed on the packing slip and nothing is damaged. If you receive damaged parts or are missing parts leave a note on the bill of landing and sign it. Make sure the driver is aware of the situation and signs your copy of the bill of landing with the noted damages or missing parts. Once you have taken possession of the package file a claim with Dirt King by sending an email to [email protected]. Please include your order number, copy of your bill of landing, and photos of the damaged items or list of missing parts. Do not discard any of the original packaging or try installing the products. Dirt King will do everything possible to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

• Returns are only accepted within 30 days.
• Product must have been purchased from us and not a dealer.
• A 3% processing fee is deducted from all refunds.
• On shipped orders   a 7% restocking fee and a  3% processing fee is deducted from all refunds.
• Products such as bumpers, hitches, and bed cages that have optional powder coat added are subject to a 7% restocking fee and a 3% processing fee. If the order is canceled before the product is powder coated then the 7% restocking fee can be waived.
• On shipped orders we are not responsible for return shipping or refunding the original shipping amount.
• Parts must be returned in the original package and condition as they were sent.
• No returns on items that have been damaged or installed.
• Refund will be issued once the parts have been received and inspected.
• Custom products are non refundable.
• Crypto orders will be refunded the same coin amount that was paid originally.

Welding should always be done at a qualified and certified facility only. Customer assumes all liability in assuring that parts are installed correctly, maintained, and not modified or altered in any way. Suspension modifications may change the dynamics and stability characteristics of the vehicle. Ensuring prompt wheel alignment and ADAS recalibration after suspension modifications is critical and the sole responsibility of the customer.

Stage 4 Front Long Travel Kit (Extended Width)

This Stage 4 kit for the front of your Bronco or F150 will lift the vehicle 3-5” with new radius arms and King coil over shocks. This kit will widen the front track width 9″ total and includes custom inner axle shafts.

Note: Price includes $500 core charge for beams. King 3.0 IBP  and Billet Radius Arm upgrade pictured.

Additional information.

Our Stage 4 Extended Width long travel kit provides 18” of wheel travel and will clear a 35 or 37” tire. We extend the beams 4.5″ on each side and modify them to correct camber angles. Plating and uniballs are then installed for reinforcement and provide better articulation as the beam cycles through its travel. A mild drop pitman arm is provided to correct any extreme steering angles with the increase in ride height. Choose to included King’s 2.5×12” coil over shocks that provide superior dampening with our spec’d valving and bolt into place using our Bronco front shock hoop with engine crossover. Also included are new alignment cams, our stainless steel extended brake line kit, and limit straps. Every kit comes standard with our bestselling High Clearance radius arms and Tube Engine Cross Over, however option to upgrade to our new Billet Aluminum radius arms and engine cross over is now available. Upgrading coil overs to internal bypass with compression adjusters or 3.0 diameter shock also available.

Note: Professional install is highly recommended to ensure optimum performance and safety. This kit requires fiberglass fenders and welding to install shock hoop/engine crossover. All vehicles require alignment after lift install. Beam core charge of $500 is included in price. If you supply us with a core in good condition we are happy to issue a refund for the core charge.

If you are using Long Travel Radius arms on a High Pinion Dana 44 or Dana 60 then you must purchase these spacers that go in between the c-cap and head unit to accommodate for the larger axle tube of the HP44 or Dana 60 axle.

Choose 2,4, or 7° - With positive caster adjustment built-in, our C bushings will help recover the steering control lost from lift kits and wear and tear. High-quality Black polyurethane bushings.

We originally designed this long arm for the '78-'79 Big Bronco and quickly realized all the rest of you wanted a piece of the action. Now, this kit is specific '80-'96 Ford Broncos. Don't have a solid front axle? No problem. Outsource or spec your favorite front axle and this kit will get you started on your solid axle swap.

Our proven Long Travel Extended Radius Arm is Designed for rugged off-road use while enhancing drivability. Fabricated out of 2" diameter, heavy-wall DOM at a whopping 5/16" thick! For strength and safety, we designed a separate cast steel head unit to mount to the C-wedges on the axle with your original C-cap or our new ones sold separately.

These arms are 10 3/4" longer than a '66-'79 Bronco radius arm, moving the pivot point farther back. This vastly improves suspension travel & articulation but it doesn't stop there. These arms also improve handling & control for your on-road driving experience.

Fabricated from all new materials; no core charges, no cutting or welding to 40 to 50-year-old cast arms. Built-in caster means better alignment and handling. A tight to the frame rear mount holds the arm with a high quality 1" bore Teflon lined and lubricated Rod End, keeping it closer to the frame for improved ground clearance and break-over angle.

Tons of travel, a tighter turning radius, better ground clearance and improved handling all in one product! Includes arms, head units, rod ends, frame mounts, bushings, and all necessary mounting hardware. Requires at least a 6" suspension lift for Full-Size Broncos.

C-bushings are sold separately due to vehicle variations and lift height. This kit includes arms, specially designed frame brackets with a backside reinforcement, and riser brackets for the brake lines. The arms are the same proven design that we've been selling for years! Q: What is a radius arm and why should I upgrade to the James Duff Long Arm? A:  James Duff Inc. has been the leader in Bronco off-road suspension for over 20 years. Why you ask? Our Extended Long Travel radius arm matched with our long-travel suspension systems allow the Bronco to traverse over almost any terrain. Designed and manufactured by James Duff Inc.

It is a tubular & plate steel design that utilizes a secondary cast steel component called a head unit to mount it to the Bronco. This two-piece design not only makes the install easier but also incorporates 4.25 degrees of added caster. When it comes to lifting Bronco front suspension, CASTER IS KING! This extended length radius arm is not only MASSIVELY stronger and offers MORE caster than the OEM design but it also allows up to 37″ tires to fit w/o sacrificing the Broncos tight turning radius.  This arm is a direct fit for all dana 30 & 44 axles made from ’66-’79. 

Q: What Degree C-Bushing do I need? A: Use the following below as a guide, if your axle wedges are located in the factory position this should net you the desired caster for good on-road manners. If you have installed or modified your axle wedges your results may vary. We aim for 3° positive caster once the final alignment is completed.

Q: Where should I mount my frame brackets? A: Long arm frame brackets from the rear of A-pillar body mount flange to front leading edge of long arm frame bracket - 13” BOTH SIDES see photo 1 and photo 2 for reference. These measurements are based on our '96 Bronco you will need to measure and make sure your axle is where you want it. Always triple-check before making anything permanent.

Q: Where should I mount my coil buckets when doing a Solid Axle Swap? A: 5110 Duff Coil bucket placement - hook tape measure to the back edge of the front body mount and measure back 15 1/2” - BOTH SIDES

Q: Do I need a custom cross member to install the Long Arms on my Bronco? A: If you have a '94-'96 FSB and/or an E40d transmission you will need to modify or replace the factory cross-member with a custom-made cross member. James Duff does not make this part. Q: What axles are these arms compatible with? A:  Our radius arms are designed and engineered to work the factory-equipped Dana 30 or Dana 44 front axle on the Early Bronco Platform. They will also work in the Full-Width High Pinion Dana 44 that comes installed in the ’76-’79 F-150 4×4 or ’78-’79 Big Bronco. If you are wanting to pair them with another axle such as a Dana 60 or Super-Duty 60 then you must ensure that the axle uses the  ford style axle wedges  or you must grind off any brackets that use a different style attachment point and weld on the wedges we sell. 

Q: I ordered these but they are missing the part to bolt on the head unit to the axle!  A:   Correct this kit doesn’t include new c-caps. You must select that option at check out or reuse your factory-equipped C-Cap. Keep in mind we offer the optional c-cap add-on in color-matched powder coat or bare if your C-Caps are in rough shape.

The 1980-1996 Bronco and F-150 Extended Beam Suspension Kit is a long-travel performance suspension system. The TTBs are extended either 3″ over or 4.5″ over stock width. The wider track width from the Extended Beams allows for more wheel travel and better stability.

An impressive 17″-19″ front wheel travel, and 17″ rear wheel travel can be achieved with this kit.  These numbers will depend on your tire size and other factors. The limit straps set the maximum droop and prevent shock and axle damage when the suspension droops out.

The King Shocks 2.0 x 2″ Bump stops on each side take care of the big hitters and prevent damage when bottoming out. This 4×4 long-travel performance suspension kit will get you (or others) out of almost any situation.

We strongly recommend professional installation and setup for optimal performance and safety. Our Swing Steer kit is highly recommended when running 35″ or 37″ tires.

The Cut N’ Turned Dana 44 TTBs are available as 4.5″ or 3″ extended per side, and 4340 Chromoly Dutchman  axles for reliable performance. The two 12″ King Coil-over Remote Reservoir shocks, combined with two 12″ King 3-Tube Bypass shocks up front offer serious long-travel business.

The Deaver Q80 progressive leaf springs in the rear are paired with our Q80 Shackle Conversion Kit. The 12″ 2.5 King Shocks Remote Reservoir 3-Tube Bypass shocks control the 17 inches of rear suspension travel. The rear shocks are mounted to a W-I-Y Under-the-Bed shock mount. King Shocks 2.0 x 2″ Bump stops slow down the last 2 inches of up travel.

The Dirt King Fabrication long travel kit for the 2015-2020 Ford F-150 was developed to drastically improve the Ford F-150's off-road handling without compromising its day to day driving characteristics.

This suspension system allows for 13” of travel and accepts up to a 37” tire. The kit is compatible with 2WD models and 4WD models along with the purchase of extended axle shafts. Our upper and lower arms are designed with 1” stainless steel uniballs for the outer pivots instead of ball joints for strength and increased articulation. The suspension system allows for bypass shocks to be added or can adapt to the factory sway bar. This kit is CAD designed, thoroughly tested, and 100% made in America.

FIBERGLASS SHIPPING POLICY: Our shipping department takes the same time and effort in packaging your products as our engineers do in designing them. However, damage can still occur in shipping. Most of these damaged items can be easily repaired during install and or in paint prep. If this is not the case, the buyer must inspect the packaging and the products carefully upon receiving them, then accept the shipment and if need be, notate any damages and irregularities, such as crushed, torn, punctured, or broken parts on both the packaging and the product, on the freight bill or receipt at the driver’s presence. A signed receipt without any notation releases the carrier as well as SDHQ from any further damage claim. Discovery of damages after a clear delivery becomes the responsibility of the customer. The buyer must notify SDHQ of any damages within 24 hours. In cases of damage with proper notion on receipt, the carrier will determine whether to pay for the repair cost or replacement value of the damaged goods after damage inspection. Replacement value is the amount the buyer paid to SDHQ and is not negotiable. All disputes about the settlement amount shall be addressed with the carrier. SDHQ, under no circumstances, shall be liable for the damaged product or for subsequent settlement of the claim with the carrier.

POWDER COATED ROCK SLIDERS SHIPPING POLICY: While we pack with care, we advise against shipping powder-coated sliders due to the risk of scuffs/scratches during transit. Any shipping-related damage isn't covered by SDHQ.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

5. Kievskaya Metro Station was one of the first to be completed in Moscow. Named after the capital city of Ukraine by Kiev-born, Nikita Khruschev, Stalin's successor.

6. Novoslobodskaya Metro Station  was built in 1952. It has 32 stained glass murals with brass borders.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

8. Mayakovskaya Metro Station built in 1938. It was named after Russian poet Vladmir Mayakovsky. This is one of the most beautiful metro stations in the world with 34 mosaics painted by Alexander Deyneka.

9. Belorusskaya Metro Station is named after the people of Belarus. In the picture below, there are statues of 3 members of the Partisan Resistance in Belarus during World War II. The statues were sculpted by Sergei Orlov, S. Rabinovich and I. Slonim.

10. Teatralnaya Metro Station (Theatre Metro Station) is located near the Bolshoi Theatre.

An excellent read! Thanks for much for sharing the Russian metro system with us. We're heading to Moscow in April and exploring the metro stations were on our list and after reading your post, I'm even more excited to go visit them. Thanks again 🙂
